Hola! El Demso here. I don't know how to start this post, so I'll just say that I'm glad I'm getting rid of more and more bugs as I work more on the game. It feels satisfying. Also, the game is in Spanish now! Probably not big news for non-spanish speakers, but certainly GREAT news for everyone I met in person and asked me about it since they didn't speak English very well. Also for Spanish speakers around the world, lol this one is for you all!
Changelog 1.11:
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where settings werent being properly applied during the post-credits an some other scenes.
UI:
- Fixed positioning of some Win Screen elements on some resolutions. - Tweaked some UI elements. - Improved UI behaviour. - Changed 'press start' text to 'start game'.
New localization! :
- Localized the game to Spanish!
Yeah, that's the big update for this one. I really wanted to get this out of the way since a lot of people have been asking for it. I think one of the first posts in the forums was someone asking about a Spanish localization lol Well, here it is!
My friends keep working on the German and French localization for the time being. I'll definitely post about it when they're ready! One thing to note is that there's two instances where text is not translated but they don't affect the gameplay at all. I'll see into localizing them too in a future patch. In the meantime I think now that this one is out of the way I can turn my eyes towards refactoring some code and start learning about Steam workshop support. We'll see how that goes!
As always, if you want to discuss the game, report bugs, or just hang out with us,feel free to join our Discord!
Maybe I should add a channel for Spanish speakers now...

- Fixed some bugs related to controller handling of the UI.

- Fixed a bug where if you opened up a mail, then clicked on another menu tab, when you went back to the mail menu the mail was still opened and blocking the mail list.
- Added a close button on the corner of the mail window for clarity.
- Redrawn controls glyphs and added support for different controllers.
- Fixed a bug where some buttons audio playback didnt change with the settings.

- Added the ability to use analogue sticks to move the cursor and shift blocks.
- Added limited support for AZERTY keyboard layouts.
- Reset button hold time reduced from 1 second to 0.7 seconds.
- Made the easing on the Reset widget Linear. It was making people release the button earlier than expected.
Misc.:
- Fixed a bug where screen resolution and full screen settings were not being saved in between playing sessions.
- Added 1280x800 resolution for Steam Deck.
- Added Christmas easter egg (play the game during Christmas!).
Known issues:
- Using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller might disable your connected Xbox controllers for the game.
- In some cases (mostly when CoCo goes 'Welcome back!'), the puzzles button will be selected even if CoCo is talking to you, causing some weird behaviour if you select a puzzle too quickly.
- CoCo no longer does random greetings when you log in.
- In some cases during the post-game if you get 99 moves the game will softlock. I have no idea why this bug happens to some people. It has never happened to me or any of my testers. Still trying to track this one down.
- For Steam Deck users: I couldn't consistently get the virtual keyboard to show up automatically on input fields. You will have to rely on the ol' Steam+X shortcut. Sorry!
Where have you been?
I've been hard at work at the localization side of things and also taking care of real life stuff. Not gonna lie, localizing the game has been kind of hell lol First I had to actually code the on-the-fly text replacement and make it so it would support several languages. As you will see, I also changed the Settings Menu to reflect this (although English is the only language available for now still). The framework I'm using for the dialogue system does not have any integrated solution for localizations. As such, I had to look for a solution around the internet and thankfully I found some GitHub repo with a script that homebrewed and automated some of the process. The rest I had to do by myself. I also had to sacrifice some things here and there, such as CoCo's random greetings. I will be looking to integrate that back into the game in the future, as I feel it gives CoCo a bit more personality and I think it's pretty neat. But for this update it won't be there, sorry. Right now, I'm working on the Spanish localization (given how it's my native language), while some friends are working on the German and French localizations. The Spanish localization is definitely coming out first. And soon!
Will the game be ever localized in [X]?
I will see into it. So far, Spanish, German and French localizations are planned because that's the language me and some friends speak. Anything else will definitely have to be paid for out of my pocket, since I'm not making any real money off of this game. However, if you're really passionate about this game and want to contribute to localizing it into your native language, feel free to join our Discord and reach me there.
What's next?
Sorry for taking so long, I know some of the bugs were a bit annoying and you had to put up with them! I had to take care of some real life stuff, but I should be good for now. So if any really annoying bugs (re)surface in this version, I will try to fix them fast and upload an update as soon as possible! I will be watching this update for any potential bugs while continue working on the Spanish localization update, I will make a proper announcement for that when the time comes. After that, I'm going to start working on refactoring a bunch of code and ironing out more bugs in preparation for the inevitable Puzzle Editor update. I don't know how long that's going to take, so please, stay tuned and hang tight!

ColorCoordination Original Soundtrack available now!
Hello everyone! El Demso here! Composer for ColorCoordination (heh). This time I'm here to talk about ColorCoordination's soundtrack. I remember there was a time when I dreamed of writing chiptune music. Being a 90s kid, it's a genre that feels really nostalgic to me. But I must confess something to you. ColorCoordination's soundtrack is not really "pure chiptune". I made the whole soundtrack using FL Studio and YMCK's Magical 8bit Plug instead of using real hardware. I know, I'm a sham! Regardless, I ask of your forgiveness. Forgive this poor soul for not following the pure chiptune path! steamsad Someday I will be strong enough to write proper chiptune, using proper hardware. I promise! steammocking I tried, however, to follow the Famicom/NES sound limitations, as it was my hardware of inspiration (and the type of sound YMCK's plugin can produce). I've worked really hard on this OST, and I've made sure to be as close as "legit sounding" as I could. While I was promoting the game on Discord servers and social media, a lot of people asked me how they could support me financially, since the game is free and all. After giving it some thought, in the end, I thought putting up the OST for sale was a good way for people to support me that didn't gatekeep them from the game itself! So yeah, the game's soundtrack will be 15% off during the first week of its release, so get your hands on that sweet discounted price while you can! May I remind you that you might consider joining our Discord to discuss the game!
See you next time!

ColorCoordination is OUT NOW!
Hello everyone! El Demso here. It's finally out. Done. Terminado. It's been one hell of a ride. I want to thank my friends and playtesters again for keeping keen eyes on the project and helping me find bugs and stuff to fix even at the last minute! I'll let you in on a little secret. The game has been finished for while now, but I was waiting on Steam to approve the soundtrack's store page and release date. Oops! Should've accounted for that! Oh well, rookie mistake. It's fine though because it allowed me and the playtesters to keep finding bugs and polishing the game. I think those couple additions I made at the last minute definitely help the presentation. That being said, this is not like in the 90s where you could release a game and call it a day most of the time. If you release a game nowadays, you're expected to keep supporting it for a while. Be it bugfixes, adding polish, quality of life features, mod support, etc. As such, don't worry! I have already stuff planned for the future! To be honest, I know it will feel a bit weird for me to not be working on the game day after day; and I know I probably missed some important bug or glitch that needs to be fixed. So, the journey is not over yet! But at last... the game is here. And this is how it's going to come out. And I'm happy with it, to say the least. So... do you have a couple of free hours and a thing for puzzle games? Well-
Go play ColorCoordination, it's out now and it's FREE!
And if you're struggling with some of the puzzles or want to discuss the game consider joining our Discord!

Releases on August 29th!
Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day. This is El Demso, developer of ColorCoordination. I wanted to do a Steam post just to test things out, never had the chance before as this is my first game that's being released on Steam. I feel a bit excited! I can't believe the game's release is only 3 days away. It's been a long journey full of ups and downs, but I somehow managed to get it done. This wouldn't have been possible, though, without the support of some pretty awesome friends that volunteered to playtest the game, suggest ideas and even offered design advice in some cases. As such, I wanted to say, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Alright, that's enough emotional stuff for now.
So... what's this game about?
In ColorCoordination you play as a freelance employee working at Silicrp, a company that developed a software called "ColorCoordination" in which you solve puzzles to train an AI called "CoCo". These puzzles consist of different colored blocks and spaces laid out in a grid and your goal is to place all the colored blocks in their respective colored spaces. There's a catch though, you can't move the blocks one by one. Instead, you have to move them in unison!
That's the main mechanic of ColorCoordination. Moving blocks in unison. Though, things get a bit more complicated as you go deeper into the game. But you gotta see that for yourself!
How much does it cost and how long does it last?
NOTHING. NADA. ColorCoordination is completely FREE! And according to my highly accurate and data-driven research (not really) the game should last between 3-5 hours, depending on how much dialogue you get from CoCo, how quick you're at solving puzzles and if you're planning to go for the records, as each puzzle has an "optimal" amount of moves you can meet. There's also some extra puzzles for those hardcore puzzle-solvers or completionists out there. Speaking of completionists, the game will also feature 10 achievements! These range from super easy to get (such as completing the tutorials) to very hard to get (such as meeting the records on the 50+ puzzles in the game). That being said...
ColorCoordination is not just puzzles!
I've put a lot of effort in writing the plot for this game, and even if it's not super epic or expansive, I still like what I came up with. I'm very fond of AI and robots in fiction and I love all the philosophical points they bring up. This is my first time writing a complete story, with a beginning, middle and an end that will be available to more people than just friends and family. So, I'm very eager for you to get through it and I hope you like it, even if that means solving more of those stupid puzzles!
Just remember-
And if you ever need help or want to discuss how to solve "Enyay" in 14 moves or something, consider joining our Discord!
We'll be glad to have you, especially if you love all things related to androids! I think that's it... right? Yeah, that wasn't so bad for a first post. Alright.
See you on August 29th!
