Circadian City Reached 10,000 Wishlist


Hello everyone, You played Monochroma and hopefully you liked it. We're working on a new game that might be of your interest. Would you like to help us for our new game? We are working on a different genre this time. But I can say our new game resonates with our ideals as a studio. Circadian City is a life simulation / RPG game where you play both the daylife and the dreams. Put Circadian City to your wishlist if you are interested. The game reached 10,000 wishlist recently and we are very excited about it.
We are aware of problems in Monochroma and if you played it the day we launched it you would know it was quite clunky. We made many updates and we brought the game to an enjoyable state to some extent. We know that the problems still exists and we want to address them whenever we have some manpower to do so but currently we are focused on Circadian City and that's the exact reason we're making Circadian City an Early Access title. We want to keep developing the game together as a community. We won't make announcements from Monochroma page all the time. The biggest and hopefully the last update for Monochroma

Good news, We recently released the console version of Monochroma. We have been working on this version for more than a year and we had to optimize the game a lot to make it run smoothly. We had to rebuild almost all the assets of the game. 3D models, textures etc.. Happy news is now Monochroma runs better than ever on light systems. We also took into consideration the complaints about the character controller and we made some important changes on that part as well. This patch includes: - Character controller is smoother. Jumping from the edges is a bit more forgiving, the delay after the fall has been shortened and now the character is able to slide down from ropes and ladders. - Bug Fixes that caused crashes to the game. Now the game is much more stable. - Performance optimization on GPU and memory. We expect fewer or no crashes because of memory from now on and you might experience Monochroma on lighter configurations. If you suffered from any of these problems, we suggest you give Monochroma a second chance. We want Monochroma to be rememberes as one of the best puzzle platformers of all times.

August 14, 2014 Updates and the release of Collector's Edition

We're working constantly to improve the quality of your experience. This time we're bringing you the Collector's Edition of the game along with bug fixes and a new feature. Collector's edition package is a DLC to the normal game and it includes*: - The design book of Monochroma - Soundtrack - A comic book - Wallperpers of concept arts - An old hint book which is a bit obsolete after the latest updates. The update includes -Steam Cloud feature for Save Games and Achievements -Visual optimizations to avoid fps drops at some scenes -Memory optimization that we hope will fix the problem of crashes that happens mostly in the second chapter of the game -It is now possible to get the "conscience achievement" -Lots of other small bug fixes *The collector's edition will be available in a short time after it's been approved by Steam.

We want Monochroma to be remembered as one of the best platformers of all times. Therefore we don't want technical issues to overshadow the real reason we developed Monochroma. New features: - Full Controller Support Improvements in gameplay: We reworked all the puzzles and action scenes that frustrates the players. - Avoiding pixel jumps - Avoiding trial and errors - Avoiding unnecessary deaths - Removing repetitive actions - Improving the visibility of important parts, hints and interactables - Reworking the camera zones and angles Improvements in controls: We wanted to smoothen the controls by: -Fixing the jump distance while sliding (removing air-control during sliding state) -Adding an auto-climb feature for objects that we can't hold on to. -Shortening the recovery time of landing (the recovery time depends on how high you fall off) -Removing the recovery time on ropes and ladders Improvement in physics: - Floating objects physics have been reworked - Movables act more naturally when pushed off from edges Bug fixes: - Brightness adjustment on the menu is more effective - Brightness issue of Mac version is fixed - Several bugs that causes the player to get stuck have been fixed - Fixed the problem that causes the character to not get hold at some edges - Fixed lots of visual bugs - Some minor localization fixes Performance improvements: - Lowered the GPU load of a few scenes on each chapter - Lowered the memory exceptions and memory requirements of 2nd chapter Known issues that will probably be addressed on later updates: - We made the tests with Logitech gamepad, therefore it will be of great help if you leave your feedbacks with different controllers - Although very rare, there are some strange bugs effecting the animations at some Linux distros, we're investigating the issue. - Approx. %2 of players reported that they had some unexpected crashes on 2nd Chapter of the game, we're hoping the the performance improvments will help lower these crashes but we require feedback. - Catching animations might not run properly at some animation states - Climbing ladders might require a jump at the end for some ladders We're excited to hear your feedbacks about the new update.
