Good Day, Fellow Informative Warriors
Some of you might have heard a few unofficial statements directly from our CEO on discord about the recent update. Today we decided to gather all of those statements in one place, add a few others and make them all official! These words are more or less directly from the Developers on the reason of the previous update: Developers has tried their best to save cross-platform multiplayer between PC and mobile for more than 2 years without succussion. But the mobile version is developing faster and it has become harder to have cross-platform play while trying to keep it fair enough for both versions. After an extremely long and hard debate that lasted weeks between everyone in charge, the only logical conclusion that Zillion Whales reached was to move ahead with the update we got. There only two other possibilities were to either disconnect PC from the mobile server or implement the same free-2-play mechanics on Steam to keep it fair against mobile. Unfortunately the second solution requires a lot of development resources and time, and they were not ready to disconnect the PC from the mobile. So the developers found a middle ground option and turned off Passive Skills for PC and keep it cross-platform. Developers realized that trying to have it be equally fair for both mobile and PC was a mistake. They decided to rather put full concentration on developing more quality content for mobile! The recent update has had a positive reception on mobile and has helped Zillion Whales to continue their work on our favourite game with a brand new passion and spirit! From now on, full concentration on new in game content is the goal for this year continuing into the beginning of next! Yeah, of course everyone would have liked to keep it cross platform as it has been since forever, but sadly reality prevents cross-platform era to exist. We are sorry to say a change that will be adapted soon to our servers is that Steam players will only be able to play against other Steam players. To compensate for this, those Generals that wants to move their accounts to the mobile version and keep playing there, will not start off from the beginning as if they were a new General. Rather they will be compensated with bonuses once the change is made. These bonuses has not been fully decided just yet, but promised to be significant. To end it all, a few insights of what the next few changes are going to be. Yes, Chia's Stones will finally be nerfed in the next update. As well as in future updates will include an increase in the amount of ways to earn both Gold and Runes. As you might have seen, we have already started making significant changes in prizing for Cups Events. This will continue into our standards Community Contest as well! We also want to thank all of our lovely and loyal Generals that has stayed with us through thick and thin! We obviously could not have done this without you and we honestly hope to please you in every single way possible. This has been an extremely rough time for us, so our appreciation for you has been equally extreme. Hopefully we'll get through this together, Good Luck On The Battlefields Generals! First of all, we have parted ways with our previous Partners and Friends at OPNoobs! We had a great run that lasted slightly more than 1 year and we wish them all the best fortune in the future! That does NOT mean that we will no longer have Tournaments of course, it only means that we will hopefully be trying to succeed at these events within our own community instead! So what does this really mean for the Warriors of Mushroom Wars? The big change you will feel in our new community hosted events might be the fact that in overall, the energy and vibe of these new Tournament Cups will be LESS serious than previously. Today we will be addressing something that is most highly important to becoming a Great General, the speed of your moving units! This will of course help you achieve a greater Offence and more importantly, a greater Defense! As you might know, Travel Speed of Units can rely on a great amount of things! Previously we have discussed how Moral affects your overall gameplay. So for more moral information, find our previous Moral post! But there are certainly other things that could affect the Travel Speed. The 2 biggest factors are of course Hero Abilities as well as the very new, Passive Abilities! Hero Abilities such as Rudo Speed, Ayner Rage, Trini Bees and Kenor Close Ranks are all abilities that affect the speed of your marching units. Tier 1 +3% Speed Tier 2 +7% Speed Tier 3 +15% Speed Lets move on to the 2 Types of Unit Movement! Either Standard Waves, or Snaking. Standard Waves simply use the standard technique of sending units by dragging and releasing/pressing. Each Full Wave will have 8 Units in 1 line marching Snaking many compact Waves all pressed closer together to decrease the empty room between the Marching Units. As you all, know each hero on Mushroom Wars 2 has its own unique and special set of Abilities. To be able to use these Abilities, the hero needs to spend some Energy to activate them! Energy, or Ability Bar, can be translated into points! At max, when the Ability Bar is full with Energy, there are 500 points that are available for your access. This could be for example 5 different 1st Ability usage. Even a combination of 2nd and 3rd together as well as of course 1st and 4th! To simplify it, 1 Ability equals to 100 points! Every Ability also has a cooldown system built in. The higher the level of Ability, the more time youll have to wait to use it again. Here are how much an Ability requires; 1st level Ability - 100 Energy points - 20 seconds cooldown. 2nd level Ability - 200 Energy points - 40 seconds cooldown. 3rd level Ability - 300 Energy points - 70 seconds cooldown. 4th level Ability - 400 Energy points - 100 seconds cooldown.
There are only 2 ways of collecting and receiving Energy: Either you collect them by default Time which means that for each 1 second that goes by it also translates to 2,5 Energy Point. Or you can also collect Energy Points by simply killing of your own units in battle. Upgrading Villages or Towers does not classify as killing own units! There is a much more detailed information on how to gain Energy Points that you can read more about here http://www.mw2.su/en/physics_en/energy_and_skills/. This further info contains precise measurements of Energy Points of Dead Units and other stuff Recently we have also had the big change of Rush Mode during battles! This mode gets activated 2 minutes (120 seconds) into every single Multiplayer, 2v2 and Custom Gamemode, but not Campaign. Rush Mode means Double Energy Points collection and half Cooldown System for every ability. The main reason for Rush Mode is to not prolong Battles more than necessary and for longer maps to have a more exciting feeling to them! Last Sunday we had the first Event of the year. We tried out our new tournament format with lots of new changes in all the areas. Prizing is different, Streaming is different and Gameplay is different! We would like to hear what you thought about that and how you liked it. We found it successful and are extremely pleased. But are there any changes you would have made? Thank you to all the Great Warriors that participated and played very well this past weekend. We had record amount of numbers in almost every way. We had record amount of Sign-ups AND Show-ups. And about 1800 unique viewers that joined our twitch event! Speaking of twitch, we would like to give a special thanks to our very own incredible Caster CheeseBurger that made his debut in an amazing fashion. Especially because we gave him only about 1h to prepare for it all, and he absolutely killed it! We really loved having him on, hopefully you all did too. If you joined the stream and saw the Grand Finals between Tormoz and Fasse, and hopefully saw their final battle being played, you might have realized that they used the Banned hero SatoShii! As of now, Season 5 has ended and the Trophies are on their way to your in game inbox! By winning and participating in Tournaments or grinding Ranked mode, or maybe both! Good Day Fellow Tournament Warriors! IMPORTANT TEXT
As the New Year begins we will continue with our most constant tradition ever! We had a great run together in 2018, and we sure will continue to try to bring the best experience for everyone in 2019. On February 2nd AND 3rd at 6pm CET, together with OPN we will host the first tournament event of the year! For 2019, we have made 3 big important changes to all future tournament events. These changes will hopefully make the entire experience for everyone much better and more fun. First Big Change is that from now on all tournaments will take place during 2 days instead of 1. We will start the tournament on Saturday where EVERYONE is welcome to join. There are no limits to amount of players nor which platform. And there is also no time commitment except for the fact that it starts at 6PM CET as normal. There is no need to wait for entire rounds to finish, as long as your opponent is ready, you are free to play! Second Big Change is that the streaming time on Sunday will be cut down to only 3 hours long, instead of the previous 5h! This will hopefully make sure the level of excitement is more compact and make the event more enjoyable! During Sunday Stream Event, only the top 16 players left from the Saturday will be playing. That means on Saturday, you can keep playing until there is only 16 players left. And all those Generals will advance to Day 2! The cut of hours of stream will also hopefully bring in the more East located countries to participate in our tournaments! The Third Big Change is that all in game prizes (except participation) that are won for playing the tournament will be Halved! For example, First prize no longer receives 1000 ranked points, but 500 instead! Which we still believe is a lot of points. But the main reason we are doing this is because we think that the people joining in on the stream should be rewarded more fairly. Which mean they will have the chance to be able to win all these points that are no longer handed to the Winners! For now, that is all the information and Changes we will be bringing you! There were more than 70 Generals that voted for his cool Ankh Map to potentially become a part of the game itself, on discord alone! First of all, wed love to thank everyone that voted. It really makes a difference. Because of you, our Game Developers are aware of how cool this map is and are possibly taking it into considerations for future releases! This week Vindblain shares another map with us called the Dora Map. Read all about it below from the architect himself! Vindblains Comment: I'm sure you can guess where main thrust of this map will occur. It's a race to lock down the greener fertile land, but possibly at the risk of losing your back line. All of course while the map itself is using Dora's abilities at random (in 15-45 second intervals) to freeze morale, turn your units into chickens, create whirlwind, and drop magnets. Every single Map is completely unique and special in its own way. We will be sharing them with you to hopefully get the spark up again and see more map creators like him reach us. The Main point of this contest is that if a Map reaches all criteria, you the Generals can VOTE on discord If you would like to see this map featured in the game sometime in the future. With every Map post, we will also add a personal and private comment from the creator to explain their works in slight more detail or to get a better understanding of the thought process. Vindblains Comment: The Ankh Map: The basic concept of this map is that it will use Ankhs abilities at random every 15-45 seconds, applied randomly to troops or buildings. Either for FFA or COOP, this creates 2 different approaches to how this map is played.

Any player out there will be lucky to get him as a teammate, leading the team all the way to 2nd place! Helping to reach such heights is one of MW universe oldest players, the legendary and mysterious General GribnoyLord. Not many people know him because mostly he only plays once a year. But oh boy, when he does, he has no issues getting to the finals! And finally at 1ST place we have Juniors Fasse & Lomy Perfectly unbeatable, Fasse and Lomy showed us how to be flawlessly synchronised! Except from the occasional chat in between matches, they proved that with plenty of gameplay time together, you only need to trust your partner in making the hard choices for you! The most recent update was not the best one so far, and sure enough, youve told us plenty of times! This new update that were bringing is a hotfix for everything that went wrong, were at least hoping for it! It will fix some minor issues with unsynchronized matchmaking. It will also reduce the amount of connection issues and improve situations with crashes and bugs! Hopefully by the next update, the one after this, everything should be back to normal and even better! That one will be fully dedicated to fix bugs!

And we are very sorry for whoever that was too busy to join us in watching it all, because we promise you, it truly was something unforgettable! But today we are here to thank the warriors that joined in the event, either in playing or watching the stream. But to also congratulate the Generals that gave us the event that we wont ever forget! His skill, tactics, planning and talent is unseen before. He has proven himself both in 2v2 as well as 1v1. Most players accuse him of cheating because of his skill, and some say he might be a computer. Extremely well done to Druid! Mushroom Wars 2 players can unlock Sato'Shii for use in multiplayer starting today by collecting wins in online matches.
