Update 1.7: improved visuals



Dear Nirvana Pilots,
we are happy to bring you this update with some popular demand changes to improve scene readability in races!

Changes:


  • Obstacles are made more visible by coloring their front;
  • Baseline noise/glitching disabled;
  • Losing Nirvana Sync during races won't trigger cosmetic effects (noise/glitching) anymore;
  • The ultraship has now a toon style outline.

Russian Localization Out!

Update 1.5



Hey Nirvana Pilots,
update 1.5 is now live, bringing you a lot of sauce!

Your requests:

  • The camera is now angled in a different way to improve visibility! This very requested feature is now enabled by default, but you can go back to the original camera (called "Racing Camera") in the Settings. Let us know how you like it!
  • The game now supports more resolutions and can be played in Windowed Mode. Check Settings.


    Other Improvements:

    • Added fps counter (activate it in Settings)
    • The game now captures a single screen and doesn't obscure secondary monitors.
    • OSX version default execution mode is now fullscreen.


    Balance:

    • Jump is 10% stronger.
    • Story mode difficulty has been lowered: you can now access the final exam with 4 wins out of the 9 training races.
    • The amount of glitching when Nirvana Sync decreases has been lowered.


    Bugfix:

    • We had a bug when restart was triggered from a gamepad.
    • The ultraship would fall at the end of Race 8.

    Update 1.2

    Hello Nirvana Pilots,
    we just released a major update!

    v1.2 Changes:


    • improvement: Nirvana Sync in races has now an ahestetic effect only. When you lose Nirvana Sync the ultraship won't go faster and faster (we felt it was too punitive), but some glitches will appear on the screen;
    • improvement: now brakes work differently and allow you to slow down from the maximum ultra-speed (300) to a minimum ultra-speed of 200;
    • improvement: you can activate the Retro TV filter for the races in Settings/Graphic Settings;
    • improvement: new input system to support more joypads;
    • improvement: 60fps framerate lock;
    • improvement: removed the flash at engines activation, which was causing stuttering;
    • improvement: ESC pauses the races;
    • bugfix: P didn't pause the game, now it does.

    • bugfix: after crashing, you could turn on the engines before pressing restart and cause the restart screen to flicker
    • bugfix: after crashing the spaceship would keep moving for 1 second


    What's next
    We are currently testing MAC and Linux builds, and update 1.02 is already in the works. Here's what you can expect:

    • bufgix: P doesn't pause the game
    • bugfix: game icon doesn't show and is replaced by Unity icon
    • bugfix/improvement: brake reworked
    • improvement: add the possibility to pause the game by pressing ESC
