We have added the addition games to the Halloween sale!
Spooky savings for spooky people!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3262140/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Whimsical__Bright_Costumes_2025/?beta=0
For this outfit DLC, we went with something a bit different. It will be out later than usual, just because we're getting all new character art for every character in the game.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3262130/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Discount_Halloween_Costumes_2025/?beta=0
Starting today, we'll be rolling out two entirely brand new outfit packs for the first Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY!. It was, ahem, a bear to reconfigure all of the code across numerous DLCs, but we did it. It was between that and write an entirely new story, and we thought the latter might add too much to the game's file size.
First up is Discount Halloween Costumes, drawn by yours truly, and then next month, we have a more whimsical pack in store, and the art for that looks Chef's Kiss.. The Coming Soon page for that should be up by Friday.
THIS PATCH WILL BREAK SAVES. Essentially, the entire game's code has been revamped and updated. Basically all art has new paths.

Why on sale so early? We're trying new tactics.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3245540/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_New_Game_Benefits_HD/?beta=0
Our final DLC of the year! Embark on a new journey to right the wrongs of the past, and make sure that weird, nasty time loop from the base campaign of Tentacle Prawn never happen(ed)s (again). Featuring five new part members and a brand new storyline!
Innsmouth is set to fall, because if it didn't, that would be kind of counter-productive and a debbie downer ending, but how it does and what happens AFTER is in your hands!
Planetkillerz now has no AI background art. This marks our second game which has been purged of AI BG.
To go:
- Dinosaur Shakespeare 2
- Geeks: #RestoreTheMillerCut
Welp, I misspelled 'Convenience'. Remind me never to make sales promo while woozy from a blood draw.

Oh hey, it's another sale but this time acting as a mimic to the summer sale!
look it is post-sdcc. i'm not going to write good.

Coming July 18th.
It's topical, as one of the love interests in the game is Mark Antony, and the Romans created July. Never say that you never learned anything from a Furry Sim.

ohmygodthestorepageisup.
I'll be taking a nap.
I knew I forgot to put PR up somewhere.
I can't wait to see what fun bugs the testers find!
It's our annual Pre-Summer Sale Sale!
Without going into my personal junk, about five to six life events hit me at the end of last year, one of which I had been prepping for. I/We already had decided to only work on Dinosaur Cousin Squad until it was ready for internal beta testers (which should be in the next few weeks), but with everything else that hit, it left me very emotionally drained. That and then you add in the Brain Fog, a loving reminder of my two bouts with COVID-19.
The point is that I'm thinking of moving Spooky Cat Girls 2 to later, if not Halloween 2025. Army of Tentacles: Assault on Unicorn Island, if not out by then, would take its place as the Halloween 2024 game. I do not think there is any reason other than current lethargy that AoT: Unicorns would land on Halloween 2024.
Cat Girls: IMT is looking good, but as stated, DCS takes priority, and even if we barreled through it before SDCC in late July, we still wouldn't feel comfortable releasing it until at least December, if not later (for personal reasons as well as wishlists).
We might do some weird, smaller game after DCS level rough draft is done but before SDCC. AoT: Christmas Edition has been thrown around just cause we were playing Lemmings: Christmas Edition last night. It would probably use the remaining art for Tentacle Prawn that we just never ended up using.
As usual, the news announcement is late.
Our second Rotation Sale of the year. Promo art late, as usual.
We're going to start doing smaller rotational sales of all our products.
We're trying out Rotation Sales. So, instead of just selling lots of stuff, we're only selling some stuff at a time.
Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim 2 is on sale for the first time ever! Boy howdy! Complete the set!
While progress on Dinosaur Cousin Squad is going well (despite hitting an error as soon as we booted up the base code for the first time as one complete package), we were able to at least get a good foothold on two of the final four Paper Shakespeare games while waiting on the base code. We are very happy to be able to share the store pages with you today:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2762590/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Cat_Girls_If_Made_Today
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2757940/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Spooky_Cat_Girls_2
Cat Girls? If Made Today isn't a remake, but rather, a reimagining of the game if it was made with the game dev know-how that we have now, and with the storytelling and gameplay that we want to do. This is the first Cat Girls game as if it was completely unconnected to the other games, as the Keegan Quinn/Multiverse BS storyline is over.
Spooky Cat Girls 2?! is another experimental title: it is three spooky games in one. The first is the titular Spooky Cat Girls, the second is a Cthulhu Dating Sim that we've been calling the Dark Souls of Visual Novels, and the third is our Kaiju game.
Neither have solid dates yet, as we need to both launch Army of Tentacles: Assault on Rainbow Unicorn Island, as well as dedicate our time to finishing up Dinosaur Cousin Squad in time for Christmas - or before.
We hope you enjoy.
Until March 14th. So not weekly. Well, technically weekly.

We swear it is the final release date shift.
Guess who forgot to put up this news update this morning? To be fair: there was a doctor's appointment.
Unicorns has been delayed due to the world being on fire.
The mad quest to make a game for every Shakespeare play is swiftly reaching its promised end, with the first being Army of Tentacles: Assault on Rainbow Unicorn Island. After that, maybe we can sleep.
Two are scheduled for the end of 2024, but the majority of work on those will commence after Dinosaur Cousin Squad has dropped. We don't yet know when that one will have a Store Page up, but we assume within the next few months. Both games were being prepped while Dinosaur Cousin Squad was being worked on, but DCS progress has hit a few fun new snags, so we might be able to finish before proper level clean-up is set to begin in a few months.
The final two are set for early and late 2025. One is a collaboration, and the other is another new engine, new genre game..... this time: a tRPG deck builder. In layman's terms, a party based tactical RPG with a card system. We've very recently begun pre-production and asset buy on that one.
Store pages for at least two of the final four adaptations will be popping up after Rainbow Unicorn Island drops on the 23rd.

So, for a few smaller games in the past (including tomorrow's Dinos Shakespeare 2 DLC), we have used AI backgrounds. We had both in-house discussions about it, as well as extensively made sure that the singular artist we used for said games was being ethical in what she fed her AI. Scarecrows came out, and at the time, we assumed the generated art was made using the same level of care (as their prior art that we used from the same artist was painted), and while we have no reason to believe otherwise and do not wish to slander said artist, we will be working to attain new background art for Scarecrows. This might look like a combination of new and existing art or it might be new art altogether. Regardless, it will not happen overnight. We will not be using AI art of any kind in any future games. We apologize to both our fellow developers as well as our customers for any ill will gained via our actions.

As always, please report any bugs.

AoT: Unicorns has been moved to January.
Hope everyone had a safe night!
Obviously, AoT: Unicorns is not out. It's my fault. I did not number the lines in the script for easier VO input. I'm a dork.
We here at the office hope that everyone has a very safe and happy Halloween!
Due to increased stress due to family medical issues and my own medical issues, Dinosaur Cousin Squad has been delayed until sometime next year. We're fast tracking a game that we intended to work on for next Halloween in order to fill its place, as well as working on the DLC sequels that we were going to do for early next year.
DCS could potentially be done by the rest of the team, but because it is the first game of ours in a new genre and engine, plus since I originally started making it as a Christmas present for my younger cousins, I'm trying to be as hands-on as I possibly can be. That just is not possible given my current stress levels from real life currently coming at me from all sides.
I promised them this game two Christmas Day's ago. Ugh. Well, it's going to be great when it comes out. This also gives us the chance to give the game a decent lead-in with a Coming Soon page, rather than just putting one up a few weeks before launch during the busiest time of the year.
So there's the trick. The treats are coming soon.

1) Dinosaur Cousin Squad/Scarecrows Update: The office is once again COVID free, but I myself am on a new pre-surgery diet and exercise routine to, hopefully, finally get done with medical crud once and for all. So what does this mean? We're working on Scarecrows as well as the first draft of Dino Squad's 25 levels. But we're going one scene/level a day for each. Dino Squad is still on track for the end of 2023. Scarecrows might actually be ready by the end of the month (given testing, etc.). 2) Aot: Unicorns: Halloween release depends on if we have all voice lines in and fully edited by then.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2254860/Inexplicable_Geeks_RestoreTheMillerCut/?curator_clanid=33017070 Get it whilst it is hot.
As Samuel L. Jackson once said: hold on to yer butts.
Due to a combination of factors:
1) Surgery recovery.
2) Family life events.
3) Quality dev cycles for various products. We redid the schedule today, and feel like we have a better grip on when exactly we can work on what specific projects.
4) Dinosaur Cousin Squad being a new genre and a new engine.
Unless otherwise specified, everything already not in production is going to be pushed to 2024. Geeks: Miller Cut, Illyria, and Rainbow Island are all 90% done and still expected to be able to be completed in a relatively short amount of time.
Everything else is non-priority at this point and is going to be 2024.
It's almost that time again! Which means it is that time again!

So, like, in all seriousness, this is the game that I should be writing on pain meds right now. This one rounds out the three DLC Sequels that are hitting in the year of our Gourd 2023.
The Rest of 2023, in recap....

What's this? Announcing four new products whilst recovering from surgery? Well, they aren't huge, and half of them are already in various stages of production.
Three upcoming DLC-Quels!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2409020/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Cat_Girls_2_Prophecy_of_Convenience https://store.steampowered.com/app/2410350/Dinosaur_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_2_Winter_of_our_Discontent We're trying to make these suckers the size of full games, but no promises. Experimenting with a DLC format allows us to take both more and safer risks with a pre-established game. We also don't have the budget for three full games at the moment, and we're currently six games away from adapting every Shakespeare play (that excludes the entirety of the Henriad, which we're trying to do as one game - nine plays as one title). DLC costs us nothing, and we had the assets lying around. Some were made specifically for the DLC-Quels, some just were gathering dust. The third DLC-Quel isn't ready to reveal yet. We were thinking we could reveal all three at once, but forgot that one still needed to be submitted to Valve for verification.
New Games on the horizon!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2254860/Inexplicable_Geeks_RestoreTheMillerCut https://store.steampowered.com/app/1923530/Scarecrows_of_Illyria Geeks Hashtag is a fun, quick little thing we wanted to get out for this year's SDCC. Lovingly taking aim at things like the Snyder Cut.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727790/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
Look! A game! I'm amazing! Right before surgery, too! I deserve, like, fifty Gold Medals. Enjoy this quaint jaunt, straddling the lines between the Paper Shakespeare world and the Army of Tentacles world.
Scarecrows of Illyria is coming sometime next month.
It's early, yeah, but I'm also gonna be getting surgery bills soon.
This one is also a two-parter, with the main meat - the Barnacle Meat, if you are classy enough to watch Succession - coming next month.
Yes. We know.
Here's a sale anyway.
It's literally still snowing here, but sure.
First off, it's really ridiculous that we finally got out the final Army of Tentacles. Yes, Unicorns is coming later, and Tentacle Prawn technically counts as a spin-off in the same way that the Mythos games do, but for all mentally stressful purposes, the trilogy is over.
Yes, that feels weird, considering the series began in 2016 and the recodes are still being worked on. Army 3's recode now only has 20 Arguments, and even though we're working on Dinosaur Cousin Squad exclusively after March ends, not working on any other projects is going to free up time to finish those.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2
Next up is Tentacle Prawn, which is a mix of Paper Shakespeare/Army of Tentacles.....
Internally, we've been referring to it as Army of Tentacles 4, even though it's... really not an entry in the main arc. It has.... stuff in it, and it really is a true mixture of the two worlds, but it is its own thing entirely.
It's going to go live early April.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727790/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
Hey, everyone! Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim 2 is out now because my hotel internet works! Happy Valentine's Day? I feel like I should write a larger post, but I've been in the air for six hours. The last game in the storyarc that started six years ago and meandered and survived due entirely to whimsy is finally here! The AoT 1 recode was put on hold, but now it should be starting up again next week. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2153400/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2022_American_Revolution_1775__1786
Plus, a few release dates have shifted due to a very nasty flu. Not sure if it is Long COVID or just a really despicable bug.
AoT 2 is now March, and we're still debating when Tentacle Prawn will come out. It'll either release same month as AoT 2 or Rainbow Unicorn Island. We're trying to find a balance between financial sense and thematic sense.
Winter Sale
No one could have predicted this. Oh, and Dino Sim 2022 is droppig next week. Could be Monday, could be Friday. Or Tuesday. Or the other two. Just in time to miss Christmas as well as Christmas Eve. Blame the Gregorian Calendar and the constant shift of yearly dates for that chestnut. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2153400/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2022_American_Revolution_1775__1786 Oh, and a 2023 treat....
Army 1 and 3: The Actual Recode(s)
So, later on in 2023, the oft prophecized recode is happening..... the code for both Army 1 and Army 3 broke. The Steam versions still work. So that's the good news. If you buy it this sale, you will be buying a working game. It's just the versions on our end that need to be fixed. Which ultimately means that there will be a patch to both games later on down the line. I want to make it clear that both games work perfectly fine on Steam. If you were planning on making any purchases of the game or DLC this Winter Sale, feel free to do so. When the newest update to the engine that we use hit, it scrambled our 2016 Code bases brain. Without going into lengthy explanations, the base code for Army 1 (Utahraptor) was written in such a way that, if you push one domino, the whole thing is gonna crumble. We were young and inexperienced. Shit happens. While Army 3 came out pretty unscathed, it still uses the Argument/Word Battle code. So we need to redo it as well. The good news is that both games will have fresher, better code. We will be keeping as much as the base game intact as we can. We're also going to try our best to keep the file size to the same as what it was, even though we'll be adding a few new baubles. They will include:
- Updated Word Battles: Stats and abilities will now have a bigger impact on how they play out.
- New Army Units and Art: We'll have actual art for the Army units.
- New Level Up/Upgrade screens: For a better, clearer idea of how you're going to shape your army of monsters for the new endgame Invasion.
- Updated Shops and Stats
- Redone endgame Invasion system
- Redone DLC pathcode
- New UI

While we were going to shift the release dates for our current 2023 crop to get this out before Summer Sale, the version of base code that we got earlier last month still needed a fair amount of polish, and we didn't want to have our contractors work through the holidays. Our current investors were cool with the shift, but since it's going to need more time to cook before we can really start work on it, we're going to try to clear our slate of current investor projects before working on this one in full. Earlier in October, we had split up into two teams: Team Army of Tentacles - working on Army 2, Tentacle Prawn, and Unicorn Island - and Team Cousin Squad - working on Dinosaur Cousin Squad only. But because Dinosaur Cousin Squad has shifted, Team DCS has now taken up a new project that will also be officially announced next month:
To Date Or Not To Date Cat Girls? 2 is in development
While Tentacle Prawn is the game where we detail the relationship between our Lovecraft and Shakespeare worlds, Furry Shakespeare: To Date Or Not To Date Cat Girls? 2 is going to be a more standalone title that deals specifically with the various Furry Shakespeare tales we've been telling so far. For instance, we have an entire group that actually deals with keeping the spirit of the holidays alive. How do they fit into the overall lore? Do they also go to the same college for royalty that everyone else does? What about the Spooky Scary Halloween Spooky Times and Historylands crews? Those are retail jobs. Why do those exist in this world? But the most important question of all: can you date a Monarch Butterfly? Originally, Spooky Cat Girls? was going to be the canon sequel to Cat Girls?, but.... well, not anymore, obviously. Happy holidays.
Late Autumn/Black Friday Sale
A bunch of products are on sale. Yeah, we know iot is not the official Autumn sale, but better late than never.
New Frontiers
Last Christmas, I started working on a non-VN with input from my cousins, and the restrictions were that I had to do whatever they gave me, within reason. So now the Velociraptor has Telekinesis and the Pterodactyl has the water levels. It's going to be our first platformer, and our first game in a new engine. No idea when the store page is going up. Our 2023 slate is a bit packed, but we've got a good schedule and we have managed to fit everything in without burning ourselves out.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2219720/Furry_Shakespeare_Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs_Winters_Tale_2
We're only eight games away from finishing our mad quest of adapting every Shakespeare play into a video game. Well, more than eight actual plays, but like Rainbow Hollow, we've got some tomfoolery up our sleeves.
So, not only are we planning on a third and final game in the main Army of Tentacles trilogy next year, we're also planning two spin-offs in the Paper Shakespeare universe. Shakespeare and Lovecraft, together at last.
We have sort of an ongoing storyline through all our games, and so far, it's been most apparent in the Paper Shakespeare/Furry Shakespeare ones. There's some reality/multiverse jank that's been threading through the games, which was have been affectionately calling The Multiverse BS (no, we only started calling it that when Marvel started calling their current films The Multiverse Saga). So, the idea here is that Army of Tentacles 2 will end that storyline and the next two games will showcase the consequences of a new reality being born.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727790/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
It's all led up to this. Kind of. Maybe.
Combining the quest and battle mechanics of prior Army of Tentacles games with the magnanimousness of a college dating sim.
Expect to see it before summer.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1877720/Army_of_Tentacles_Assault_on_Rainbow_Unicorn_Island
Army of Tentacles is over. Long live Army of Tentacles.
The first game, but reimagined as Shakespeare's Trojan War play. Perry, Riley, Webster, Thatcher, Apocalypse Bunny, and more are on a quest to push back the invading Greeks and save their home.
Our first fully-voiced game since 2016. Expect it sometime..... later.
We had a few game announcements to make - we're seriously cutting down on content produced in 2023. But we have some announcements that we *think* round out next year alongside the already announced 2023 games.
But we felt Halloween was not the right time to make those announcements. We want as many eyeballs on us as possible (or as is possible for a small indie outfit), and we felt that Halloween Day was not the day to make such annoucements.
So tomorrow.
BUT.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1923621/Embers_of_the_Zombie_Battlemage_Halloween_Real_Werewolves_of_Massachusetts
Here's a small content DLC for Embers of the Zombie Battlemage that we cooked up over the weekend, adding a new Guest Path throughout the entire game. What are Guest Paths? Well, they are like Johnny Handsome in the idea that they are complete character arcs, but for guests. You'll need to figure out what section they'll pop up in each Act, though. We're not giving out Halloween treats in the form of spoilers.
The spooky scary Halloween sale is on now! 31 products are on sale, ranging from 15% to 69% off!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters/ Get it while it is hot.
First off, why the delay? I finally got COVID-19. The silver lining here is that most of the teams for the next few games already work remote, and Kittens in SF is basically 98% finished. Which sounds relatively easy, but I have never felt this lethargic and aimless with any other cold or flu that I've had the chance of catching. There are maybe fifteen minute windows where I feel good enough to work on the game, but then those pass and I can't even think straight. Even with those fifteen minute windows, my body is constantly fluctuating between extreme hot and extreme cold. I can't talk, I can't smell, and while I still retain my sense of taste, it's dull in most areas but extremely punctuated in others. It's super weird. But wait, it's not all doom and gloom! While the game may be delayed, it won't be delayed that long, as I'll be out of isolation next week and plugging away to get you, the general public, your yum-yums. At the very least, I'll probably take this time to finish up work on some future store pages so we can announce some new products in the interim. Who knows. If you can, please get vaccinated. I have a mild case, but knowing it is a mild case, I would not want anyone to experience a full-on case of COVID. Because I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like. I also am still deep in recovery from a prior surgery, so these two factors combined are..... not great. The Halloween Retail Season sale is still on if you feel so inclined.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1919090/Embers_of_the_Zombie_Battlemage_Halloween
Kinda a reboot of Spooky Scary Halloween Spooky Times, kinda a sequel. This time in a Halloween theme park. It has the usual Guest Events, but now there is a combat section to gameplay as well.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1923530/Scarecrows_of_Illyria
What started as a DLC for Furries & Scarecrows has snowballed into its own thing.
We were going to announce these two with a special game that we had been working on for a few months, but that's not ready for a store page quite yet.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters/
Game's been delayed until August due to a combination of family gatherings at the end of July. Thought we'd be able to get it out, but it came down to just not feeling comfortable launching it and then leaving for a bit.
As Samuel J. Jackson once said, hold on to your wallets.
Kittens in Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy San Francisco is now launching on July 20th!
Amy of Tentacles 2 has been changed to February 15th, since that is the day that the first AoT launched. Time is a flat circle.
We thought Kittens in SF would be launched by now, so we set up a launch sale. It's not.
Here's the launch sale anyway.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1824590/Furry_Shakespeare_Two_Incredibly_Ripped_Absolutely_Shredded_Noble_Kinsmen Out now.
This month
Two Incredibly Ripped, Absolutely Shredded Noble Kinsmen comes out on Thursday! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1824590/Furry_Shakespeare_Two_Incredibly_Ripped_Absolutely_Shredded_Noble_Kinsmen
Coming soon
Due to an upcoming unforseen surgery, Army of Tentacles 2 and Unannounced Dating Sim-VN RPG have been moved from October to December. Which sucks because Halloween season was the perfect time for both, but whatever. That's life. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2 We have a replacement Halloween game that we're kicking around. Kittens in SF is still scheduled for June-issssssssssssssssh, but that also depends on recovery. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters We'll be announcing 2023 probably starting in August. This is possibly our weirdest Shakespeare adaptation yet.
It's Othello. But it's also set in a world of monster fighting. Also: collecting. So, monster fighting and collecting. You do both.
This is our first game with a new main gameplay mechanic in six years that's not just choice menu based. It was scary. Hopefully, you all like it. Because we plan on using it for the next few titles.
We've been waiting to show off some of these art assets for years. That's how game dev works sometimes. None of these were originally supposed to be mashed together, but you can't argue with the result.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1824590/Furry_Shakespeare_Two_Incredibly_Ripped_Totally_Shredded_Noble_Kinsmen[img]
We were thinking about this for November, but that thing we were clearing the board for won't be done until April, annnnnnnnd we just got in a battle system for an unannounced game that we are {i}very happy with{/i}, plus we want to give the post-summer RPGs room to breathe....
So. Kinsmen is gonna be our game for Renpy Month, and then we'll work on the final three.
It's a narrative and choice based politics sim. We almost backburnered it because of the crap that is happening in the world. It takes place in the old school Elsinore Academy, but we felt the gameplay was different enough from the past Elsinore Academy games to warrant it.
To celebrate Furries & Scalies & Scarecrows launching, the first two games in the trilogy are on sale.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1152200/Furry_Shakespeare_Loves_Lizards_Lost This marks the last of our pre-summer games. Probably. Maybe.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1811920/Planetkillerz_death_of_a_world_in_five_acts I rather do like this whole "adapting games of old plays" gig. Here it is. I'm going back to sleep.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY Was going to wait until the sale is over, but then again, February is absolutely packed with releases. Thought it best to release now.
Much like Joe Papp (okay, EXACTLY like The Ghost of Joe Papp), this also was a play written in college. I decided to adapt it as a game because it felt like material that I wanted to revisit given I had just received some really horrible news. It helped me process the stuff that I was feeling inside, and the game itself goes over topics like death, religion, and mass planetary extinction events.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1811920/Planetkillerz_death_of_a_world_in_five_acts
If you or anyone you know is approached by anyone from Stegalosaurus claiming to be a part of a Counter-Strike tournament, do not click the link. It is a scam. I mean, we wouldn't be in a CS tourney anyway, but not everyone would know that. This also goes for, I guess, anyone in general. If you get a random, out-of-the-blue message about CS GO, don't fall for it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2
We've updated the Army 2 store page. Changed the name of the game as to avoid super confusion. Does this mean we're no longer doing the other Army of Tentacles game?
Well, for that, you'll have to wait and see, but we figured out how to make it so both Army 2 and our other Furry Shakespeare RPG build up to a final AoT game (in the main storyline, I guess). We're very excited.
Happy new year!
Happy new year's eve! Stay safe out there tonight. There are gonna be a lot of drunk drivers. Do not be one of them.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1806200/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2021
Happy holidays, everyone!
Merry Christmas to those that celebrate!
We'll be rolling out store pages for the 2022 crop soon, but here's a preview of our intended releases:
1. Another adaptation of a play I wrote in college, much in the same vein as Ghost of Joe Papp. Expect it Early February/Late January.
2. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY
Launching right before our 6th year of being in business/not going out of business.
3. A Furry Shakespeare RPG with a fun new combat mechanic. Late May.
4.
Six years and the third game later, behold the second game in the Army of Tentacles trilogy. Taking place parallel to the events of the first two games, you are thrust into the role of the B Team - the misfits responsible for ending the world if Perry and their crew failed to do so.
October.
5. A Furry Shakespeare Election Sim just in time for the November USA elections.
So, two RPGs and a few dating sims.
Dino Simulator 2021 goes live on Xmas Eve! We have a new crop of games to announce shortly after!
Thanksgiving is over.
You know what that means.
It's the official Steam Autumn Sale! Go, go, go! But that's not all....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY
Up first in for our 2022 slate is the third Furries & Scalies & Bears game. It's going to be a semi-return to form, as Furries & Bears 2 was a massive departure from the gameplay department of Furries & Bears 1. There's a bit of farming. It'll be a thing. Still VN format.
We plan on four games in 2022, as opposed to the slew of context that has been put out in 2020-2021.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1585450/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Spooky_Cat_Girls

No idea what 'bunker up' means. I assume it is related to 'It's Happening'.
Spoopy Cat Girls!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1585450/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Spooky_Cat_Girls The spooky cat girls have been submitted for approval of the Midnight Society/Valve. Depending on when the game ultimately gets the green light to release, it could be before USA Thanksgiving (the 25th) or directly after, in early December. It could be as early as late next week.
Milestone silly old game!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1806200/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2021 We set an end-of-the-year milestone for ourselves, and we just completely blasted through it with the Halloween sale. So here is your dinosaur game. Well, not here *now. Here later.

We have added a fancy new biz Twitter to our dev page on Steam. Follow us for all the sporadic game updates you can handle!
Halloween is the best.
I can't find candy in stores anymore. It's not even October.
Doing things isn't easy.
Video games are hard, as someone once said I forget who, but it's an actual quote. I think it may be from an executive. I dunno.
Being a niche indie company is hard.
Hired a new writer for Spooky Cat Girls?'s classroom scenes when it became clear that it would not make a reasonable launch date for October. It was either launch directly before the Halloween sale (and this was hoping Valve would accept the final build on the first submission, never something a designer should bet on) or delay it, and we chose to delay it. We feel December also fits in with the theme of the chosen play.
Super Army of Tentacles has always been my baby, but it's gone through so many changes, due to gameplay as well as personal reasons, that I feel a disconnect with it. Rather than make a tentpole game that I do not want to make, I handed it off to another team member for a 2023 release. This would be the first Army of Tentacles game not helmed by me, which is exciting as I 100% trust my team and think it is time that we all grow in that fashion. We've been alive almost five-point-something years now.
In the place of Super Army of Tentacles, I plan on making a new, full VN-RPG Army of Tentacles game. I feel much more confident about this one, and it will launch at the same time that Super Army 2022 would have. That will be announced soon, maybe with the other 2022 games. Maybe not. Who knows.
Making games is hard.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1585460/Furry_Shakespeare_Oops_All_Dragons Only two more games to go this year. Maybe a few Halloween surprises. This is a sort of sequel to Sexy Centaurs in the same way Emperor Penguin Lear was.
Moved all the Joe Papp games into the Paper Shakespeare bundle, and now they make up two more Merchant of Venice games in the list of Shakespeare games we're making/have made.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1512370/Furry_Shakespeare_Dreamin_of_One_Lazy_Dead_Midsummer Out now. This one is very near and dear to us, and to me, because it was an idea that I had been mulling around way back in the wee year of 2017. So it was important for us to put an idea together for Midsummer Night's Dream that resonated. The concept of the summer camp slasher movie seemed like a fantastic juxtaposition to the play's theme of young (and naive) love. Next up: Oops! All Dragons! might be rearing its head for a late August launch, as the spine of that gameplay loop is already done.
We decided on this sale when it was looking like COVID was getting under control over here, and people would start returning to work in-person. I still remember last year, seeing the ads for Halloween stores that were opening and wondering "why the heck would people go to a store during a pandemic where they know for a fact that an entire body has touched the wares?".
Still. It's a magical time of the year where we get ready for the final three months of the year. Halloween Retail Season doesn't just mark the coming of the next big holiday, it marks the beginning of the end. So get out those wallets and celebrate the way Capitalism wants you to!
So, we're putting the finishing touches on Midsummer, and without going into the gory details, a large chunk of the gameplay was vaporized from existence: the weekly slasher competitions. We still have the endgame slasher segment, and we have changed the game's story to put focus on an endgame segment rather than multiple slasher sections. We feel this is important as an announcement because our store page used to have language directly implying multiple sections throughout the game.
The silver lining here is that we feel that the focus on a singular slasher section rather than multiple improves the general gameplay and story, as well as the "unique aspect" of such a section existing in the story itself. It was either that or delay the game for something that we now feel would have hurt the gameplay rather than added to it.
- FIXED: Save bug - ADDED: New save code, files
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1701430/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_RX___Other_Soundtracks_from_2021
So, it's not only the soundtrack for Mythos RX, but for every single 2021 game as well! As long as it does not have a dedicated OST DLC of its own, it is in here!
There are even some from games that have yet to be released!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1579950/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_RX Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim RX is out today, on what would be the first day of a physical San Diego Comic-Con. My goal with this game was to make a short, inexpensive, and generally fun title that encompassed all of the "stuff" that normally goes on at an in-person pop arts convention. Like Super Halloween Times, it does get a bit dark in places because some of the content is based on real stuff. You know, besides all of the monsters. All data points to a 99-cent game selling, but like most of the stuff we do, it's an experiment. Of course, experimenting is hard to do when you're a small indie dev working on niche titles, but the risk on this particular title was pretty low. So we went for it. Enjoy.
As well as a post-sale sale!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1627740/SHAKESPEARE_More_like_THIRSTspeare_amirite Thirstspeare is out now! Venture forth as you, a young indie dev, must make a video game adaptation of Shakespere's first play, Two Gentlemen of Verona! It is less meta than it sounds. The first of two small summer games. The next is Mythos Ever After RX, launching on the 20th, which is what would be the first day of San Diego Comic-Con, were it being physically held at the center this year.
Recently, we got a new web hosting service, and as such, have a new tech support e-mail:
support@stegalosaurus.com
Good news as well! We're now in the permanent new office, and as such, won't have to do the delays that we thought we were going to have to do!
We also are hard at work pre-planning the planning phase of the store pages for 2022's other two games, one of which is another RPG to go alongside Super Army of Tentacles. There's discussion on whether or not we should release the new RPG next to Super Army of Tentacles, and if we do that, SAoT will probably move to October. But there's also the fact that an unexpected expense means our plans for Said RPG could mean it is now 2023, and we would just continue chipping at our Shakespeare slate with smaller games.
- ALTERED: Commented out old code that no longer works
Get it while it's hot. Also: wear sunscreen.
Yes, this would have worked so much better as a May 4th announcement. Missed that golden opportunity. Hey! Guess what? We're actually gonna stick to schedule this time!

As well as two smaller games:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1627740/SHAKESPEARE_More_like_THIRSTspeare_amirite

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay
So. Dunno if this announcement is really warranted. Just want to let people know what is going on. Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim has three main mechanics: skills/attributes, Word Battles, and Armies. Well, it did. See, I started work on the project when things were.... let's say, different in the USA, and that, in turn, fueled the direction of the thing. We had already wanted to do something new with AoT 1's army mechanic, but do it better than the first game. Do it with all the game dev we had learned over the years since we've started. So I felt that my internal anger was a good fuel for said mechanic. Who doesn't love a good 'throw out the bad guys' story? While the main story of the game is still 'the humans somehow occupied Monster Land', after recent events, I just don't feel good about a mechanic where you pre-meditatively build up militias to take over areas. We talked about this, and the bottom line is that we feel that even though the Army mechanic would have been solid, it would have taken away from the main gameplay loop of the first two games. Even though there was a final Invasion mechanic in the first game, the way you recruited your army was never the focal point. The focals were the Word Battles. At the end of the day, real people make games, and we don't want to be making a game that we feel isn't up to snuff or is pushed in two different directions. This is the last in the trilogy for us. We know more now and want to do it right, as both a stand alone title and a series cap. This also allows us to put greater focus on the idea of reactivity to your choices in the world's hubs. Which is cool. I'm writing this because, even though it wasn't the selling point of the game or even showcased in screenshots or the trailer, it was in the initial store description and there were shots of it in the trailer and on the screenshot gallery. We've already updated the gallery, but will also be updating the trailer shortly. This really doesn't affect the already delayed release date of 2022. If anything, it clarifies a release date. If anything, at max what it means is this will release post-summer 2022, but I honestly don't think that's a concern.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay We hope you enjoy the sequel. We thought it would be the last FASABOH!, but we have something in the back of our heads that itching. As always, depends on how well this one does. This dev cycle was odd, as this sequel is not under the commission that the original was. It's entirely on our own. It was weird going back to a world that was, at the start, not entirely ours.
Meant to post this sooner, but I have been super sleepy thanks to the COVID shot. I am very glad that I got it, though. Furry Shakespeare has a DLC that is 20% off starting tomorrow, not today, and that was an error on our part.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet It's here. The oddest game we've ever made, and probably the only of its kind. Unless it does well.
Paper Shakespeare: Very Naked Hamlet Release!
Next week, Very Naked Hamlet is releasing. Monday, March 8th, to be exact. A Valentine's Day release would have been swell, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Army of Tentacles 3 stickers!
We've submitted a set of four AoT 3 stickers for review, and we'll let you all know when those hit. If they do well, we'll be doing the same for AoT 1. These, sadly, will not be available for the Black GOAT Editions, as those are technically separate products.
Time has flown. It seems like, just yesterday, we were making dating sims based off of the works of William Shakespeare and RPGs out of Lovecraft lore. Old team members left, new team members joined, and we've just generally had a blast making small, weird games for y'all. We're working hard at getting back to more medium-sized RPG/Viz Novel hybrids, and that's sort of what is on the docket to talk about in this news announcement.
Due to reasons that we won't be going into, the main office is going to be moving twice this year. Because of this, as well as other factors revolving around Super Army of Tentacles' assets, we will be moving it to early 2022. We wanted February 15th, as that is the release date of the first AoT, but alas, that also presumably would fall within the range of the 2022 Lunar New Year Sale (maybe not, as LNY 2022 is Feb. 1st).
So, rather than release after Halloween 2021, straight in the middle of the Three Sale Gauntlet (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter), which would be an extremely uncertain launch window, we're going to delay Super Army of Tentacles and push up everything else.
Starting with....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet
This game came to us from one of the newer team members, and in the spirit of trying new things, and because we're huge theater geeks if you couldn't tell, we're doing an adults only Shakespeare VN. We write words that are big and adult. But you have to know Hamlet in order to see them.
New Release Date: Late February - March 2021

New Release Date: August 13th, 2021

The play it adapts will be As You Like It.

The play it adapts will be Twelfth Night.
Someone forgot to include Furries in this one.

New Release Date: Early 2022
You know, when you're moving cross-country and you have horrible internet that won't be fixed for a few days, and the office is a mess, and you have little contact with the rest of the team, things happen.
Things like not realizing the Steam sale started this morning and you just figured it out via a combination of checking your phone messages and looking on Twitter to see that Steam is trending.
I imagine Ted Lasso giving that speech. Maybe over darts.
Okay, so, brass tacks:
The 2020 Steam Lunar New Year Sale is on now until it's not! Then, when THAT sale is done, boy oh boy oh golly, do we have a surprise for you that's not actually a surprise at all! Our Happy Five Years of Not Going Out Of Business Sale is hitting! Most of our games are on sale this month, including some of our 2019 lot! But not the back half of 2020.
We made.... a lot of stuff in 2020. That was a rush. We have two more Furry Shakespeare games to announce for the back half of 2021, but those announcements will either be around August or September, if those two games don't slip to Early 2022.
We would like to wish everyone a happy Lunar New Year.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1512370/Furry_Shakespeare_Dreamin_of_One_Lazy_Dead_Midsummer
Midsummer has been a play that we've wanted to adapt for years. It started out as a "lol this is the perfect dating sim" idea, then sort of merged with the fact that everyone that gets together in camp movies dies by the hands of an iconic movie slasher. Figuring out how to make a game about slashers without really making it a game about flat-out murder was tough, so we sort of went in a Cabin in the Woods angle with it.
Also: is that a new UI for a Paper Shakespeare game? Will wonders never cease?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1512610/Furries__Scalies_Super_Scary_Halloween_Spooky_Times_Part_II/
This time with 10000% more Christmas. Building upon the mechanics of the first game, and expanding them, this sequel should be perfect for anyone that sees a Christmas commercial on October 31st and goes "why?".
aaaaaaaaaaaandddddddddd.....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Super_Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
Super Army of Tentacles just got a brand new trailer!
Won't adding new games affect the other titles?
Just be glad that every new idea that pops into our heads is not being added.
- Switched around root folder of certain files for clarity
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1510940/Paper_Shakespeare_Stick_Merchant_of_Venice_Furry_Mode
So, Paper Shakespeare: Stick Merchant of Venice is getting a new DLC with new art and a new frame to the text of the play. It's going to be the same text of the play, and you will still have the options of choosing Modern or Shakesperian versions of said text.
We thought about making a new game, Furries of Venice, and we also thought about Furry alt outfit DLC for Joe Papp 2 (since it would 100% work in context of that game). But we ultimately decided to experiment and see if the stick figure games retain audience.
It will drop about the same time we announce the first of the three new 2021 games. It will be the same price as the base game.
We do hope that you all have a good end to the year.
We apologize for the error in the discount sale where we put down 75% for the Army 3 GOAT, but somehow, we only wrote down 15% when inputting the actual discount data on our end. This is something that should not have even been an "easy error to make", and we will be reviewing all of our discounts more closely in the future, sometimes even multiple times leading up to a sale.
We once again apologize for the inconvenience.
There was an error with Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! going on sale late, so it will join the last discount sale of the year tomorrow, and it will go until the 22nd.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/947080/The_Ghost_of_Joe_Papp_101_Ways_To_Kill_Writers_Block The sequel/rewrite to Ghost of Joe Papp is out now! This is perhaps our most meta-game yet.... as it's literally about writing a game/play. Co-written by K. Teagan Clark, this sequel/rewrite of The Ghost of Joe Papp, a 2017 release adapted from a college play, was both super fun to do and super frustrating. Hopefully, that frustration is fun to play through. I started this project to see if I still had a playwright in me, and to try to evolve the main story from where it was in 2017 while still keeping the core intact. The next game, and the first game of 2021, should be announced in early January, and is co-written by my sister. It is the Midsummer Night's Dream adaptation in our mad quest to adapt every single Shakespeare play to video game format.
Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! 2 has been moved so that it is launching either closer to or directly after Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim.
One half of the reasoning behind this is because we wanted to give it more time to cook, and we had a much clearer vision for the two Furry Shakespeare games that were going to be our post-Army of Tentacles Winter 2021 games.
One of which is To Date or Not to Date Cat Girls? 2. The other is one that we had been talking about since 2016 and are all very excited about. We just didn't know what it was until now. We couldn't see it.
As these are games for an investor, we wanted to knock them out as soon and efficiently as possible while still launching good games. It's also that the Furry/Paper Shakespeare series has generally been more profitable than Furries & Scalies, so that's another reason. Had we all the time and money in the world, all three would be coming out before summer 2021, but that workload would eventually hurt Army of Tentacles 2021. Yes, one could bring up the claim that having an investor has affected us, but only in the sense of what products come first (and that honestly is the ideal situation). We're still making what we want to make next year. We still have creative freedom.
From everyone here at the office to all of you, have a very happy end of the year. Stay safe. Wear a mask. Have lots of Zoom parties with friends and family.
New graphical art update to Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim as well as the GOAT Edition!
Other patch notes:
- Added names to credits page
- Altered hub menus

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Super_Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
What is it?
Behold! The final entry in the main Army of Tentacles series, which can be played as either a sequel to Super Army of Tentacles 3, or as a standalone title entirely! The title was almost going to be Army of Tentacles 2, but we thought that a fresh coat of paint was the best route. The title we landed on is an amalgamation of the first two games.
Will there be a GOAT Edition and/or Cheat Mode?
No.
How standalone a title is it?
There are going to be things that definitely resonate with and will have different meanings for returning players, but the story is written with new players in mind. It 100% works as a sequel, but is written more like a parallel story to the main storyline that the first two games established, if that makes sense. You won't need to know who this is or why that is going on.
2021 Games
With that, 2021's titles are pretty much announced. It was honestly just going to be Super Army next year, but then Hamlet and Furries/Bears 2 slipped. We might do a Halloween game, but other than that, this is the lineup.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1431470/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim What's this? A new Army of Tentacles game? Without any RPG elements? Just a straight dating sim? Are the GODS THEMSELVES JUST AND WISE? Well, here it is. Just in time for North American Halloween.
A note on release dates changing to 2021
A few of our smaller games, plus Furries/Bears 2, have changed to 2021. This isn't due to the sudden addition of Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim, but rather, because our artists and writers need more time, and we need further assets that we didn't really account for in the budget. We figured that, if the games are delayed anyway, they might as well be clear off the current foreseeable (or at least further off than, say, January) release schedule.
As well as the launch of our next game...
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1177650/Paper_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date_2
The final three months of 2020 are going to see Very Naked Hamlet, The Ghost of Joe Papp 2, and possibly a stealth Halloween game.
Stealth as in we're gonna try to get it out by Halloween, but if we can't, we can't. I was busy taking the last week a half to recode Army of Tentacles: New Game+ Benefits, and got the itch to make a pure dating sim in the Army universe.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/828760/Paper_Shakespeare_The_Legend_of_Rainbow_Hollow I always wanted to do a self-drawn game, as well as an adventure point-and-click. Hand drawn as quick sketches, then scanned into the computer, and then re-done in the computer paint programs, this one was an experience. Not sure it's an experience I'd do again, but I'm glad that it finished. It also was the first try at a real puzzle game, and as such, I am super interested in hearing what works and what doesn't. The Shakespeare play that it is very thinly based on is actually five: the five "Problem Plays" of the Bard's portfolio, and it also kind of ties all of the past Stick Figure Paper Shakespeare games together. The game uses a new, more simplistic version of Army of Tentacles' Argument System, for a combo of puzzles and word battles. We might be using this in the future, but with a version that is a bit more buffed up. So, enjoy.
Ring in the start of the virtual school year with low, low prices.
Multiple script changes: - Anson's character has been completely rewritten - New character added for storyline cohesion - Scenes have been rewritten - Typos fixed
Valid points about the content of our games have been brought up, and to address them, we are rewriting some portions of the script. As head writer for the company, it is my job to make sure that our games contain content that are both inclusive and culturally sensitive, and Furries, Scalies, & Bears OH MY! betrays that. Over the next week, the script will be looked over, and plots changed. That patch will be coming no later than Friday. The current patch: FIXES UP: Image issues
Announcing the final 2020 games. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay Sequel to the first Furries/Bears, but can 100% be played as a stand-alone story. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet/ A silly little game where you need to know the entirety of Hamlet. It's like those learning to spell good games, but with sexytimes and Shakespeare. It was also a big back-and-forth for us, as it has text-based sex scenes baked in that go further than we've gone in a base game.
Release date changes
Paper Shakes: Date? 2 is going to launch sooner, as Furries/Bears 2 has taken priority as our late year game. This doesn't mean that it will be less of a game. We always were going for a November release date as a "LOL it's a stress-free election game during a real election", but realized that it doesn't really matter if it comes out then or not. Plus, I had an urge to deep dive into it. Paper Shakespeare: Lizards is now 2021 due to various stressful factors that this year has brought to the team. It's a rather odd change, because it's a smaller game, but we feel that we do not want to push the issue and make it a rushed and stressed work environment for people.
New artist, new main character, new continent, new storyline. New Furries, new Scalies. One of the main criticisms that we received about the first game is that people would like a lot more time to talk to multiple characters per day, so we have written a gameplay loop that is much more applicable to that.
Of course, it's not an official announcement until the official announcement. Expect that sooner rather than later.
Will this one have NSFW content right off the bat? Probably as a Charity DLC, but based on the response to the current NSFW for Charity DLC, it will probably be available at launch. The base game will not have NSFW stuff. While we do want to cater to both variations of audience, we want to make sure they are both happy with the end product as well.
Why a new artist? The current Furries/Bear artist is currently working on Also Unannounced RPG 2021 Project and has been since late last year, and, up until recently, who exactly owned what regarding Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! was a bit legally murky. The sequel was not commissioned by the person that contracted us for Furries/Bears 1. So while there are some surprises in store for returning players, don't expect to see any of the cast from the first game. Just putting that one out there right now. Didn't want anyone expecting the game to be something it is not, even though it is firmly withing Furries/Bears canon. So, long story short, we didn't know that we'd need her for this game because we didn't know this game was going to exist.
Is it based on any Shakespeare play? While the Furries/Bears universe is, for legal reasons, separate from the Stegverse (or Wyrdverse, as well call it internally), the sequel will absorb our company goal of adapting every Shakespeare play, at least in part, to video game format. Let's just say that elements of one or two of the Bard's plays will make its way into the story.
More info soon!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1112230/Furries__Scalies_Super_Scary_Halloween_Spooky_Times This one was weird for me. Yeah, it's anthro animals and dragons, yes, there are still remnants of the dating sim formula that has worked well for us, but it's also filled with real stuff that happened to both Amber and myself working the past decade for retail. A majority of that, for me, was in this or that Halloween seasonal store. So there's content in it. Just to tell you know. Anyhow. We have a few more unannounced games to announce, which are smaller and we feel easier to "pump out" alongside our bigger lineup that we feel we can get done by the year's end - Joe Papp 2, Rainbow Hollow, Paper Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date 2, and Lizards Lost. Also: stay inside if you can. We're nowhere near the end of this virus junk.

You'd think that self-isolation would be great for an indie dev, right? Forced to be inside? Well, yes and no. More no than yes. Release dates are all sorts of wacky right now. Halloween Times is going to hit its mark, but Rainbow Hollow may slip. I recently moved to Boston, and as such, have not been able to fully focus on game development. I'm taking a few days for myself until my work computer arrives late this week. Even then, I'm all out of sorts and discombobulated from both being in a new city, and not being able to get my bearings because of COVID-19 and the mess it caused. Oh, and I feel like I'm getting sick. No, not COVID symptoms, more like weird stomach stuff. I've got a schedule, but it is pretty tight, and when push comes to shove, it doesn't look good for the experiment known as Rainbow Hollow getting out anytime soon. I'm much more confident of getting Halloween Times out before summer, and even then, it is going to miss April completely for a May launch. Maybe. We'll see. In the coming weeks, we'll be putting up a poll and a forum thread about what people liked and disliked about the first two Army of Tentacles games. Take into mind that we would be revamping the quest, inventory, and attribute/stat systems regardless of comments and criticism. Stay safe out there.
Sale this week: Army 1 Army 3 Black GOAT Assorted DLC Until next week. UPDATE ON THE REMASTERINGS: I'm still 50/50 on redoing the first two games in the framework of a future Army title (or even just in general), but if there is a future Army game, that probably will jump to a greater number.
This has been an interesting first two months for us. First, Dragongate becomes Paper Shakespeare: To Date Or Not To Date? 2, then Paper Shakespeare RPG gets revamped into Paper Shakespeare: The Legend of Rainbow Hollow. It's been a lot of Paper Shakespeare shenanigans. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1177650/Paper_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date_2 Now, PS:TDONTD?2 (Or just PS: Date 2) has undergone a massive art overhaul, with the previous art moving to a different game that we hope to announce sometime in December. There's a new trailer, too. Also, until the 6th, there's a Steam Visual Novel sale going on.
A few reasons for the name change.
'RPG' was a fun title to give the game, and the new Argument System worked incredibly well with the Paper Shakespeare universe, but at the end of the day, we just couldn't figure out how to make it all fit together perfectly. We wanted stats and abilities that we weren't sure worked. We wanted an item and money system when we didn't have a working stat system.
We saw that we already had a "point-and-click" puzzle mechanic in place, so we decided to streamline things and make the puzzles the star gameplay mechanic. So we had to ditch the 'RPG' in the title as to avoid confusion and potential anger.
The game also went from a fun little side project, to something that we ripped our hairs out thinking about programming. Other things came up, other investors bought into our visions of sugar plums and whatnot. Suddenly, we didn't have time for the side project.
With this simplified version of the game, we can get it done and put it out into the world as something fully baked. Not half-baked.
We fully intent to come back to a Paper Shakespeare RPG in the future, but only when it can be done right, and have more of our attention.
Expect a new trailer to be on the store page soon.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1112230/Furries__Scalies_Super_Scary_Halloween_Spooky_Times Announcing our last(?) game of 2020 (probably not, but right now, there's really nothing on the docket). Sort of kind of based on my time working Halloween stores for the past decade (but not really), but.... you know.... with talking animals and dragons. Oh, and Kaiju. Piggybacking off Friendswood's management gameplay, we're hoping to have a more robust system in place. It won't be a full-on management sim, but it will be cool as ice. But cooler than Vanilla Ice's 1991 masterpiece, Cool As Ice.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1106950/Furries__Scalies_Friendswood/ It's out early. I know that release dates have been timey-wimey lately, and we're going to get better at that. An idea is just to not give a release date at all, just a release month.

Pre-Summer 2020 Games
Just a reminder of our products line for pre-summer 2020: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1106950/Furries__Scalies_Friendswood Friendswood is set to come out early February. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082700/Dinosaur_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date This one has been hard to crack. How do you end a trilogy, let alone one that is about dating sims? I rewrote the structure to this one, primarily because I was getting too angry and cynical about what this game is a metaphor for: climate change. It's a very different game in tone from our previous dating sims. We do hope you enjoy it. It's still the same style game, but it's also a bit different. Our third, unannounced game....
We'll most likely be putting up the store page for this bad mamma-jamma after Friendswood launches.
Announcing two new games based on our Furries & Scalies commission from earlier last year, mixed with a bit of Shakespeare. There's a third one that we could have shown, but not all art is in for that one yet. It'll have to wait for later. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1106950/Furries__Scalies_Friendswood Our first try at a management-type game. It's management-lite. 50% of sales around going to go towards helping out Australia's various fire services. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1152200/Furries__Scalies_Loves_Lizards_Lost Returning to the world of Love's Labor's Lost, but with a twist. The twist is that you're a lizard.
For a variety of reasons, Dragongate's name is now changing to.... https://store.steampowered.com/app/1177650/Paper_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date_2/ We feel that this name better suits the content of the game as it has evolved in the development cycle, as well as where it fits in the Paper Shakespeare timeline. We will be changing the rest of the storefront in the coming days, with new screenshots and a new trailer that reflect where the game now sits. It is still the game that we set out to make in Dragongate and it is still the game that you wishlisted, so don't be worried about that. We cannot wait to show more. Oh, and there should be more game announcements for the rest of 2020 *nervously looks at calendar* end of neeeeeeeeeeeeext weeeeeeeeeeek? Don't hold us to that.
We're sprucing up the audio on all of our games. Taking out some artifacts. Also. Happy holidays from all of us to all of you.
Created an in-store bundle specifically for all the Furry/Scalie games (plus all the DLC). It is one of the ones that lets you cancel out the games you already own.
Well, actually, it ends on January 2nd.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1152210/Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs_Winters_Tale Our first(?) free game is out! I had the hankering to make a holiday game while waiting for 2020 art assets, and so here we are. Using mostly pre-existing assets, it was a learning experience. Mainly, if I were to do a free game again, it would be less characters. It primarily utilizes the format set up in Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs, but with more of an evolved gameplay set-up. With that, our 2019 product list is all but done, except for the Furry Shakespeare DLC out sometime next week. Just in time for Friday the 13th. Speaking of 2020 art assets... https://store.steampowered.com/app/1177650/Dragongate_The_Fantasy_ElectionDating_Sim This one was going to be announced with another game, but it was felt that Dragongate should breath on its own.
One day, you all will get fancy graphic sales JPGs again.
Today is not that day.
Also, some game announcements next week with the release of Winter's Tale and the final Furry Shakespeare DLC.
Stealth Free Game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1152210/Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs_Winters_Tale Why a free game? Where is Dinosaur Shakespeare? Had to move Dinosaur Shakespeare to April(?) of next year for a few reasons: 1) Keep in line with the Elsinore Academy release dates 2) We got a new investor and they would rather that we focus on known factors So, in place of Dinosaur Shakespeare, we decided to spin together a freebie for you all. Is it really free? Yes. There will be a Donation DLC that launches alongside it. This will include a small new scene and a chance to interact more with the characters of the game.
Investor? The Next Year
So, a while after Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY!, we caught of the eye of a new investor. This is also the reason why Paper Shakespeare RPG has been pushed back. Instead of telling us what game they wanted us to make, they simply wanted: 1) That we make four games in the next two years based on our best known titles, which are furry dating sims and Army of Tentacles 2) They get a percentage from the monthly revenue of each title The next year of titles will be announced in time, but right now the schedule for 2020 - 2021 looks like this: 1) Investor Game: New Fantasy Genre "Fire Emblem-type" dating sim 2) Investor Game: Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim 3) Dinosaur Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date? 4) Investor Game: New Furries & Scalies title (the F&S franchise going forward will exist outside the F&S&BOM! game as those characters are owned by Stefan Klaus) 5) The Ghost of Joe Papp 2 6) Investor Game: Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim It's not as impressive as a Marvel Movie Timeline, we know. Do we really need to tell you this information? No, not really. Do we want to keep people informed of what we are doing? Yes.
- FIXED: Act 3 date jumps not working properly in some areas
We at the office have been working on the new foundation code for Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim, and are so happy with its progress that we have decided to tear out the combat system for Paper Shakespeare RPG and replace it with the new update to the Army of Tentacles series' Argument System. Honestly? It works better with the theme of the game, and means that we can get it out sooner.
We are still hard at work on a combat system for a later RPG.
What will be included in the new system?
A much more code-friendly system means that stats will greatly affect the word battles, as well as giving us the the opportunity to make much cooler skills that affect the battles in much deeper ways.
Will you be putting Argument System 3.0 in the previous two Army of Tentacles games? Say, before the new Army of Tentacles comes out?
I would love to say yes. Let's get into why it might not happen, or might take a while to happen. Because of the way the original Utahraptor framework (the thing that holds all our systems together in RenPy) was written, it would require a complete code overhaul, and that means an overhaul of two separate games. In that case, we're basically redoing Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim and Super Army of Tentacles 3: The Search for Army of Tentacles 2 from the ground up. Even with an existing script to work off of, we're also talking all of the DLC, the works. Everything would be redone. Every scene, every quest, every Argument, every mechanic. Then we'd need to actually take the copy-pasted Argument System 3.0 and make sure it would have the things required for that specific game. We're also talking about doing this at no cost to the user, just a simple, free patch. Sadly, we have to weigh that in as a factor, as we do have other games on the slate. We're talking about a 2016 game and a 2017 game, after all. Would we improve the art and resolution for Army 1, to put it in line with the other two games in the trilogy? Would we do art but just leave the resolution the same? Is it unfair to any new or existing players to leave Army 1 and Army 3 as is if the new one is going to be, for lack of any other term, badass?
The Summary
Paper Shakespeare RPG is getting a cooler combat system. Dunno yet if the previous Army of Tentacles game will get a facelift. We're very excited to show you the next step.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/947070/Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs Around Early January/Late December, we'll formally announce the rest of our 2020 games. We're finally getting Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim done up, and have a new investor for two new Furry/Scalie dating sims. This is the reason why we shifted PS RPG to 2021, but we'll talk about that more down below....
RPGs in 2021
We're going back to our roots for 2021, and announcing a new VN-RPG hybrid. Two, actually. With Paper Shakespeare RPG, that rounds it out to three. We are currently developing the systems that they will work off, and basically scrapped what we had so far for PS RPG in order to make something that could work peacefully with two of the three games. Why two of the three? Well, because two are traditional RPG combat, and one is combat via conversation.
Yes, we're finally getting around to the third and final chapter in our current (and very weird) Army of Tentacles trilogy. We won't be formally announcing with a store page until next year. It is going to be a standalone game that doesn't need the first two in order to feel complete, and yet will act as a sequel and final entry in the trilogy to those that have played the games before. So, next year is gonna be three Furry/Scalie Dating Sims and then Joe Papp to round it out. 2021 is in development, but not active production. We look forward to sharing more about all our upcoming projects soon!
Furries is 10% off the base game starting tomorrow, going through the next 14 days. Starts at 10am.
PATCH v1.25
- CHANGED: Label/jump names pertaining to the Act 3 date scenes.
Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs: August 28th. Why?: Game is done and in full run testing right now. An October release date was originally set because of all the obstacles this year, but we are fairly confident that we can release late next month. Paper Shakespeare RPG: Unknown. Why?: We can talk about why this was changed early next year (possibly, if not sooner). Originally, this was meant to be just another small Stick Figure Shakespeare game with "traditional" combat elements, but we may be doing something else next year that has taken its place.
PATCH v1.24
- ADDED: New library files for the updated version of RenPy.
patch v1.23
I'm dead from SDCC. Here's your patch. Fixes various GUI errors.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082700/Dinosaur_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date The final game in the Elsinore Academy Dating Trilogy! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082760/Paper_Shakespeare_Modern_Warfare Why another Stick Figure game? Because one day, we were reading a quote about how only Call of Duty could tell gritty war stories in video game format. So here's a gritty war story in stick figure video game format. Gritty may not be the right word.
PATCH v1.22
- ADDED: New flags to combat DLC code leaks. The code was leaking if you had gone down a certain path at the end of Act Three with the Halloween DLC installed.
Summer Sale 2019
How many percents off are all our base games, you ask? [olist]
PATCH v1.21
- ADDED: New flags for if you saw any of the misc. Halloween scenes
- ADDED: New endgame Halloween BG
- ADDED: New dialogue and images for Danny and Aurence's secondary endings
patch v1.20
- DELETED: Conflicting python code
Starting at 10am.
As well as the final two DLCs:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/940671/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Halloween_Harvest_Festival
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1095690/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Charity_Bonus_DLC
So, remind us, why are we getting Halloween in July?
It was initially set for early August as a joke release date (Halloween Retail Season begins that month), but the rest of the year up until Halloween got much more busy than previously scheduled for. Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs might even slip to November.
PATCH v1.19
- ALTERED: Act 5 final scene set up
- ADDED: New end scenes and flags for Andy Clarkhammer
- ADDED: New flags for night and day scene transitions
- FIXED: End scene for Oni
Patch v1.18
- ADDED: Month and Date to UI
- FIXED: Typos
- ALTERED: Date hubs for Act 4
PATCH v1.17
- ADDED: UI changes
- ALTERED: Act One scene/dialogue placement
PATCH V1.16
- FIXED: Rerouting code - ALTERED: Pathcode for asking people out in Act Three
PATCH v1.15
- DELETED: All date point flags from all dates, as they were useless code.
PATCH v1.14
- DELETED: Code that was causing the side effect of a loop with the first scripted Observatory scene in Act 1.
Issues with Wren's path
An issue has come up where the latest patch may/probably will cause old saves to be incompatible with certain character paths (mainly Wren). We have not been able to replicate this, so any and all instances of this bug should be documented via screenshots. A fresh game file is advised. So sorry for the inconvenience.
PATCH v1.13
- ADDED/CHANGED: Location of music during date scenes and hub jumps
patch v1.12
- DELETED: Redundant code - ADDED: Flags to other parts of the hub paths to clarify funnels
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1078400/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_The_Bear_DLC We thought about adding an acheev for romancing the big bear, but we'd rather not.
PATCH v1.11
- FIXED: Some Wren pathcode
- ALTERED: When the Observatory opens up in Act 1
- ALTERED: UI
- ADDED: New acheev for Lois
For various reasons, a few of our games have undergone some release date changes. Some have been moved up due to life events that require attention, others have been moved back in order to give them more time.
Furries & Scalies: Halloween Harvest Festival
Old: August 2019 New: June 19th, 2019 Why?: Art just finished early, plus there are some life events that have popped up in July and August that would make it very difficult to release in that timeframe. The DLC has been outlined for a while, so there shouldn't really be any impact on the quality of the writing.
The Ghost of Joe Papp 2
Old: November 2019, then April 2020 New: August 18th, 2020 Why?: The first Joe Papp was a play written in college, which went through many iterations. We want to give the rewrite as much time as possible to gestate. We don't want it to just be an alt-timeline version of the first game/play. Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs is, for right now, in no danger of moving to November.
Community Avatars added for the following games:
- Inexplicable Geeks
- Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY!
- All Paper Shakespeare games
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1078400/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_The_Bear_DLC Next week, a small new character DLC will be released. You all wanted a bear in the game with a bear in the title. Here is the bear. Thus ruining the Wizard of Oz joke.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/940671/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Halloween_Harvest_Festival Wait, Halloween in August? What gives? Halloween Store Season has officially begun, and as humble indie devs, we don't really have the opportunity to not pick up second jobs. Some of us (like me) have sacrificed a second job for a while in order to try to get the company financially decent, but that time may be ending very shortly. So, you know, Halloween Store Season = Halloween. Happy Halloween Store Season.
Announcing the final(?) two games of 2019, since Mythos Ever After is up in the air at this point. A lot of stuff has been going on with that one, and right now, it's coming down to just how long we want to wait for the artist we want to be free. https://store.steampowered.com/app/947080/The_Ghost_of_Joe_Papp_101_Ways_To_Kill_Writers_Block Finally getting around to the Ghost of Joe Papp rewrite. This one is going to be a lot more interactive, and with an emphasis on actor management. https://store.steampowered.com/app/947070/Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs An adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, but with dinosaurs and stuff. It's also another theater game.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/940672/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Charity_Pack_Echoes_of_the_Fire I mean, it is.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/940672/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_Charity_Pack_Echoes_of_the_Fire Every year, the residents of Kale Bay hold a ceremony to remember those they lost in the Great Fire. You have a chance to give words of comfort, or to just be an ear to listen. Each character now has a chance to gain one extra reputation point with the player. TO PLAY: - Simply install the DLC. The new scene will play in Act 2.
Info: The Wild Animal Sactuary
Located in Boulder, Colorado, the WAS is the world's largest carnivore sanctuary. It takes in abused or otherwise abandoned bears, great cats, wolves, and other large carnivores in an effort to rehabilitate them.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/947060/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Cat_Girls/ You thought that it couldn't be done. The immortal works of William Shakespeare together at last with Furries. Not really a sequel to Paper Shakespeare: To Date Or Not To Date? as much as a side adventure in a different Shakespeare dimension.
2019 Plans
We had some plans for this year that got derailed, so without going too much into it, we're going to be doing pretty much what we did last year with some smaller products. This is.... The Year of the Furry Shakespeare Dating Sim/Other Genre Game. Expect a few other announcements next month, plus a few Paper Shakespeare games.
- ALTERED: Variable names
- ALTERED: Placement of variable code in Act 5
- ALTERED: Flag names for clarity
- ALTERED: Acheev pathcode
- ALTERED: Hub pathcode
- DELETED: Remnant code
- ADDED: Multiple new ways to get certain acheevs
- ALTERED: Text font and size
- FIXED: Code leak pertaining to the act 4 motel room
- FIXED: Certain flags causing motel room hubs post-act one to leak
And we're out. We've launched. What a time to be alive. Will we take another contracted game again? At this point in time, with all the things that we want to do for 2019, it looks doubtful. But it was a ride, a different experience than we are used to. Hopefully, you all enjoy what we've made. If not, we'll just try harder to please a bunch of people that we don't know and who have different tastes that we just can't predict.

While we *could* launch by the 15th, we'd like to take the extra time to polish the game. We're also not sure that we'd be approved for launch by then, so a two week waiting period gives both parties enough time to see that the game is ready.
