After much contemplation, I am here to officially announce that there will be no further updates to Exodemon.
To those awaiting an update, I sincerely apologize. Unfortunately, I found myself unable to enhance the game or bring it to completion. Each update seemed to transform Exodemon into a different game, but not necessarily a better one.
I will not delete any of my posts regarding game updates. I am well aware that I made a lot of promises, and I assure you that not fulfilling these promises weighs heavily on me.
Regrettably, I have not been actively working on this project for quite some time. In fact, since the end of 2023, I have shifted away from game development altogether.
Despite your unwavering encouragement, I feel that I have let you down. Nevertheless, I want to express my gratitude for all the support.
Perhaps one day, I will be back to making games that bring joy and leave lasting memories for all of you!

It has been a long journey and its almost at the end!
Im here to announce Exodemon will release on May 13th for all consoles, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Switch, I still need to sort some things out but the Steam update should not take long to be released as well.
This update will bring a lot of changes, level design tweaks on most levels, new enemy balance, an entire new ending level and more.
Ill be honest, I almost gave up on releasing the next update, it was really hard to stay motivated and overcome the huge amount of issues the project recovery process caused.
A while ago Jandusoft contacted me about porting the game for the consoles, that was the last push I needed to finish everything and wrap things up, we had a bunch of performance issues, shader bugs, but in the end, everything went fine.
The guys from Jandusoft were awesome solving the porting problems. Exodemon is a project of passion I made almost entirely on my own, I can read my code, I can find all assets but I didnt expect anyone to have to deal with my mess but they managed it!

Its really easy to underestimate the amount of work that goes on developing a game, without mentioning the emotional toll it brings, You all have always been very understanding with the issues the game has and the time its taking to launch a new update, for that Im very thankful.
I hope you can wait a little longer and I hope you all have a great time playing the new update when it launches!

Hey folks, how are you doing in this trying days? Starting the 23th of march there will be a little discount avaiable for Exodemon, so more people can pass the time at home slashing and destroying some aliens! :) We are still working on the update, we encountered major roadblocks and some huge bugs, but we are fixing everything up! I can't stress enought how awesome everyone has being in the past months, so much care and help on this recovery work. Thank you!

Hi folks, how are you doing? Its been a while since our last update, we are very busy with our daily jobs and we are using all our free time to fix and improve Exodemon in these last 3 months. First of all we had to make a set of tools to help us to recover the levels, after that we started the manual process of replacing all the broken objects in every level for valid versions of these objects, fixing a lot of lost references, baking all the lights again (a process that takes from 15 to 40 minutes), well, a lot of work. Here is a list of what is already done:
- Unity engine updated to latest version, this may bring a significant performance boost.
- All levels recovered.
- Loading screen glitch fixed and some improvements on its design.
- Fixed some missing geometry in levels.
- Lots of small performance improvements.
- New sound system, we lost all the data from our custom system, so we decided to use FMOD instead.
- Improved level decoration in some of the levels.
- Some minor level design changes, such as enemy positions, item locations, item amount, etc.
- Claw attacks kills the enemies instantly if they are low on health.
- Overall weapon rebalance.
- Charge weapon redesigned.
- Final level redone from scratch.
- Most shaders redone.
- Correct particle direction on hitting walls.
- Overall enemies rebalance.
- Door animations reworked.
- Finish game localization in English, Portuguese and Spanish. (Want to help with another language? Join our Discord Server)
- Fix debug/cheats console.
- Fix score calculations.
- Linux and MacOS support.
- Configure all of the sounds volumes and areas/falloff.
- Lots of small bug fixes.
- Level selection.
- Difficulty options on new game.
- Steam cards.

Hey folks, quick update.
We finished recovering all the levels but the last, we'll redesign the last level entirely as it's terribly anticlimactic and kind of unfinished.
Right now we are fixing some bugs and reimplementing the entire sound of the game using FMOD, a much better tool to play sound in games.
Still a lot to do but we are very happy with the progress, soon there will be a beta version around Steam on a secondary branch. We'll adress how to acess it on Steam when the time comes. ;)
Thank you for your patience and support, each review, feedback, screenshot and bug report is helping a lot in this process.
See you soon!

Hi folks! How are you doing?
We've been working on the recovery of the project nonstop since launch. Levels 1, 2 and 3 are ready to play already!
Level 4 is still a mess as you can see in the screenshots. hehehe
Most of the main bugs the recovery process caused are fixed, buttons missing reference to the door it opens, animations missing, this kind of stuff.
We still need to fix the post process effects, like motion blur, bloom and camera shake.
Feel free to speak your mind, suggest changes to the game, request features, anything!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

What's up, folks! Thank you very much for all the feedback! We are now confident on the next steps we need to take to improve the Exodemon experience. As we mentioned in the last update, we've lost the project one year ago and had to rely on a decompiled version of Exodemon to finish development. Today, we're very happy to announce we were able to recover part of the project, which we believed to be impossible! Now, we can once again edit the game in the Unity editor. Currently the remaining project is VERY broken, as you can see in the video below: Exodemon current state video. First, we need to make everything work properly. Then, we'll start to fix issues and add some new stuff including redesigning the end of the game, amending performance issues and fixing glitches. Having the project again allows us to make new builds, so Exodemon will be available for Linux and Mac as well, something we intended since day one of development. We hope you're enjoying your time slashing and shooting some aliens! Thank you!

Hi folks, we managed make some small fixes. 1.11 Main changes: - If you got killed right before teleporting to the next level, you'll no longer be stuck on a softlock by dying instantly when the new level loads. Your health will show as empty but it'll correct itself once you take damage or get a health pickup. - Pause menu "Reload" button now shows as "Restart" Those are some minor changes, bigger problems will be adressed in upcoming updates. Thank you everyone who provided feedback, every bit of information will lead to us to make a better game for everyone! :)

Hi everyone, hope you are having an awesome weekend slashing aliens! Exodemon is our first commercial title and it has been under development since 2016 by Roni Silva and Kaol Porfirio. Further into the development, Caio Lima helped us with development tools, speeding up development a lot. Hexenkraft provided the soundtrack you listen to in game, and Pedro Falcao wrote the content you can find in the loading screens. Please note Exodemon was developed by a very small team with a very small community to test it and, for this reason, you may find bugs and weird stuff in your playthrough. We are fully committed to fix any issue you may find, so please contact us if you have any questions or feedback at contact@kuupu.com.br. Our next steps will be addressing issues the game has at the moment, including some due to our team losing the project files a year before release. We had to rely on an already built version, hacking our way through development, making it very difficult to add or remove content and fix bugs in the game. There are no known big issues with Exodemon at the moment, so you can dive in without fear of being stuck in a level or losing your save. Here's what we're also working on: - Steam Trading Cards We plan to add Trading Card in the coming weeks. - Controller Support The launcher (before actually booting the game), menus and score screens have poor to no controller support. This issue will be fixed in the near future. - Linux and Mac Support After losing the original project files, the only updated version we had to work with was the Windows version. For this reason, the game is not available on Linux or Mac right now, but we'll do our best to find a way to port the game to these systems. - Loading Screen Graphics Glitch In the current version, you may face some glitches while in the loading screen in full-screen mode, and it may also affect the Steam overlay. We are currently working to fix this issue. - Music Variety We intended to have a unique soundtrack for each chapter in the game, but due to losing the project it was really hard to insert new tracks in the current build. For now we have only two tracks in the game, both composed and recorded by Hexenkraft. We hope you have a fun time playing Exodemon. Thank you for your purchase!

🕹️ Partial Controller Support
In Exodemon you play as a scientist in the edge of the universe who was infected by an alien entity. The symbiotic force is trying to take control, but you may find a way to control the beast on the confederation laboratories Resist the infection and blaze through various locations to reach the last escape pod before you lose what’s left of your humanity.
Features
- Fast Paced First Person Shooter
Tired of slug-like FPS protagonists? You are in the right place! Fast movement and sharp controls, no cover, no regenerating health and no reload time. - Old School Feel
Do you remember when games used to respect your intelligence? No hand holding in this game. If someone tries to hold your hand here, oh boy! Just tear them with your claws! - Low Poly/Low Res Retro Graphics
All the charm of the classic FPS is here, you can count the polygons yourself! All this combined with dynamic particles and high quality lighting. - Awesome Hands From Hell
This one is self explanatory, right? If you are infected by an alien entity, at least take advantage of its destructive power! - Exciting Boss Battles
At the end of each section of the game you must defeat a giant, full 3D, boss in order to continue your trail of destruction. - Lots of exploration and secrets
Here you will find carefully crafted levels with lots of paths and secrets to find. Each enemy of the game is manually placed, nothing of that procedurally generated schmuck. - Full controller support
