Hi there! Today we're introducing a big quality-of-life update, which is adding long requested features & changes. Let's talk about the most important changes:
- Shield Regeneration System: We know that the game is hard, and our initial plan was to create a challenging experience, and I think we achieved it, but we also want to make sure, any player can enjoy the game, which is why we decided to introduce this new system. By reaching "Shield Up" checkpoints, you'll regenerate a missing shield, some levels have some, some others don't. We're still in the process of balancing it properly, but we're convinced it is a very cool feature that will allow players to enjoy more of the game.
- New Performance Mode: Performances in the game have always been an issue, and we introduced long ago a Performance mode, but it wasn't perfect. Today we decided to replace it completely with a new system, allowing you to change the inner game resolution scale, lowering the amount of pixels on the screen, this will allow lower-end devices to run the game smoother.
- Faster Restart: Restarting a level, has always been too long (reloading the entire layout) - this patch, we reworked entirely this system, and now the level will restart way faster than before, without reloading the entire layout again. We hope you'll like that change!
E.A. PATCH NOTE - VERSION 0.7.3.a
Additions/modifications:
- SHIELD REGENERATION - This patch we're introducing the Shield Regeneration System, which will allow you to regain a shield upon reaching it.
- FASTER RESTART - We reworked our entire level restart system, from now on these should be faster than before!

Hi! First, Autumn Sales are now live! If you've been waiting for get your hands on the game, now is the perfect time! Rhythmy is at -50% so make sure to get the game while it is available! -- We wanted to give you an update as well on the development of the game. It's been a rough period for everyone (it still is) but things need to roll and life goes on as we say, we did take an extended break from the project for a few months, this was really needed but we've been back on the development since a few weeks/months now. Some things have changed, mostly in the game's backend because we were very unhappy with some of the core systems, and how they were behaving. There was also a lot of performance issues, which we're trying to tackle as we speak, as well as adding a new performance mode, which will remove some game elements, effects, in order to help slower computers run the game smoothly. Hello everyone! This is our first time doing a small #Devlog - So we hope you'll like it! We wanted to discuss with you about a few things that are coming up very soon in Rhythmy, new features, levels and the long awaited level editor! So we're gonna discuss all this in this Devlog, and give you more insight of what's happening in the back! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level Editor
Yes that's right.. level editor is coming very soon in Rhythmy! We're very proud about this feature, and we hope you'll have a blast creating your own levels as well as playing other's. So let's dive right into it shall we? (Everything is still work-in-progress, so things can and will change)
Here's a small glimpse on what the editor will looks like, we tried our best to make the UI as flexible and easy to get into as possible. So you'll be able to resize, organize, move all of its components to your liking! (so it better suits your own workflow on making levels) We also wanted to make it very accessible, so anyone could make their own level easily. About those levels you'll be able to make, you'll be able to select the music you want to create your level on, from a large variety of songs, that will be bundled in the game (some of them which have been exclusively composed for the occasion) We'll constantly be updating this list, thanks to all of our featured and partnered artitsts, that are making this possible! Upcoming level
While we're working on this level editor, and preparing everything for its arrival, we're still working on new levels, one of them that will be out very soon! We had to rewrite and refactor some of our code, to better prepare for the level editor, which allowed us to introduce new functions - that will also be available inside this editor. New features, improvements
We want to thank you all for your feedback, this definitely helps us a lot making the game even better! Which is why we've introduced in the previous patches many of your requests, which we'll continue to do. We know the game is hard, which is why we've toned down the difficulty a bit in the previous patch. We're still looking how our levels performing on everyone, and if we see anything wrong, we'll make adjustments! We'll add also new warnings types, that will warn you when something is about to move, and in which direction!
Also, here's a small list of stuff we're working on, that will come out as soon as they're ready:
- Profiles, which will allow you to have multiple saves, and reset each of them
- Statistic menu, where you can check your performances on each level anytime
- A new game mode, which we won't give much information on right now..
- New chapters, which will be out once Orange Factory will be completed

Hi there! We had much feedback on the difficulty of some levels, phases that were indeed, a bit harsh towards players. Our goal is to make a fun and enjoyable experience before anything else, but it also needs to be challenging! So in order to make things as fair as we can, we decided to do a major rework on all levels, now, what does this mean? - All levels have been reworked, this means you might see major differences now, compared to what you previously played - We added more warnings, some elements were poping off too fast from sides of the screen, and most of them were unpredictable, so now you should see them better! - We toned down 'variance' - We added on some phases a little variance to make every play unique, what wasn't right, was the fact that you needed to be very lucky to pass some patterns, we definitely hope that with this patch, this has been majorly toned down. - We also fixed a few remaining bugs These changes have been mostly suggested by the community, so if you want to participate in our development, make sure to join our Discord: Join our Discord! Hi there! Here we are! We're finally moving from alpha stage to a beta stage now! Game has progressed a lot since the very early alpha stages we started back in last March! Hello everyone! Since we now have access (finally!) to all Steam functionnalities, we'll also post updates/announcements here from now on! This is the actual patch note for the current alpha version, we're just putting it here as well! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PATCH 0.4.0a
- Level/Chapter progression is now active! You need to complete the level 1, to unlock the level 2 etc..
- Level 2 : Thaehan - Clown is now available!
- New Steam Achievements have been added
- Reworked a few hitboxes (it's more accurate now)
- You can now skip the Splash screen faster
- Small bug fixes & code optimization

"Rhythmy" is a new arcade-style rhythm bullet hell game currently in development.
You like music? We do too!
We're featuring some very nice (and talented!) artist in our game, here's an example of some artists that you'll find:

State of the game:
Game is still under development, but in the current alpha build, that's already playable people can test/play:
- The 1st World, "Purple City"
- 3 Levels, General Error from 047, Clown & Doki Doki from Thaehan
- 1 Mutator, "Speed Up!" if levels weren't already hard enough
We'll be having a lot of update until the release of the game, adding more features, modes, mutators, levels and worlds! (More information on "Final Game Features")
We'll most likely have an early access phase to help us during the development, as we need your feedback to improve/make changes to the game, in order to make is as fun, complete and enjoyable as we're planning it to be!

- 16 Levels, including bosses!
- More level mutators, to power up your experience (and make it harder, always harder)
- More game modes! (that we'll tell you update in later stages..! let's keep some surprises!)
