Request pass feature
- If your AI teammate has the ball, a button will appear next to player(s) that you control to request the AI player to pass the ball to you. They will attempt to pass the ball to you in the best way possible, if you are the first character to request the ball. A foot icon will flash on your player circle, to show other players in your team that you requested a pass.

Movement changes
- The momentum formula has been changed to provide a more gradual & consistent impact to move distance after a player changes direction. Previously, player momentum would not significantly decrease when changing direction.
- Resolved multiple bugs related to private match lobbies which caused lobbies to crash or players unable to enter the match.
- We have fixed a bug related to long shots, which prevented players from moving in the later phases.
- We have fixed a bug which caused some actions to be displayed out of sync if the user decision was too close to the end of the turn.

Quick Play UI
- A new way to play the game has been added for the tutorial and regular gameplay, called quick play.
- When enabled, our AI will provide 3 suggestions to the player to choose from. Users can still choose to play the classic tutorial and can be toggled in the settings before a match if they want to change.
- Challenge mode has been renamed to the starter league and is now the main tile on the home screen.
- Credit rewards are automatically given to the users who perform best in the starter league.
- We have included the option to rejoin private & starter league matches - like you can for competitive games. We have also resolved a bug causing some matchmaking games not to start.
- We fixed a visual bug related to the distance players can move. Sometimes it would not be in sync with the match engine and caused some unexpected behaviour for players without the ball.
- Some of the AI specific match engine bugs have been resolved. We will continue to investigate and improve the AI decision logic in future releases.
- We have changed the default camera zoom level for 11v11 matches. This can still be changed during the match if you want.
- We have added help videos to some key pages, to explain some important features in more detail.

Movement changes
- We have completely reworked the formula for player movement and momentum. We now have unique formulas for 11v11 & 5v5 to provide a more balanced experience. In 5v5 the movement will be noticeably less, as we received feedback that it felt too extreme with high momentum.
- Acceleration is now much more important when a player has low momentum. The speed attribute will dictate the max running speed and become more important with high momentum. Agility is only used for changing direction and does not impact the max running speed.
- If only 1 user is on a team, the turn will end once an action is made rather than waiting the full 6 seconds. If the user has multiple characters, the turn wont end unless all the characters have made a move or the 6 seconds have passed.
- The GK characters controlled by AI should now position themselves better and make better attempts at saving shots. AI characters will no longer receive one touch & header actions incorrectly. The positioning of AI characters on kick-off should be more realistic depending on their position and the team formation.
- We have changed the logic in our match engine to calculate long shots. Previously it depended on the area of the pitch a shot was taken from. However, now it will be purely based on the distance from the goal.
- Fixed a bug with the manager level-up pop-up showing repeatedly after logging in.
- We now show a warning message if a user starts a challenge mode match without adding a character.

Match engine Christmas list
- We asked our users on Discord for adjustments theyd like to see in the match engine. Here are the changes we have made:
- Technique has slightly less impact on most actions with the ball
- GK Save has been buffed, so less reaction distance is required to increase the chances of a successful save
- One touch shots are now up to 10% faster than regular shots
- We have fixed some issues with the ball path colour of crosses and GK throws. The shade of colour should now be consistent with the areas that can be blocked.
- Weve made some adjustments to reduce the loading time of tutorial training drills.
- We noticed a large percentage of new players failing the 7th training drill in the tutorial. Weve added additional text help.
- We have fixed a few minor issues when switching formations during a match.

Flexi Ladder improvements
- More visibility on when a match lobby will be created, if your club has signed up for a ladder match. Bot club trial contracts have been removed completely.
- After reviewing new user feedback, weve added some overlays to the homepage to help new users navigate around the game easier.
- If a user has no characters in a club, we have added some videos and a link to the discord on the competitive tab of the play screen.

Flexible Ladder Tournament
- We have changed the format of ladder tournaments, to allow clubs to sign-up for a match at any time of day in 15 minute time slots.
- There will be visibility on other clubs that have signed up for time slots.
- If no other clubs have signed up for the selected time slot, a fixture will be created against a bot club.
- Bot clubs will no longer use trial contracts.
- The notification bug has been fixed, so the flashing message should only appear when you receive unread mail.
- All character & user messages will now be displayed in a central inbox.
- There is now an option to delete messages.
- Fixed a bug where the headgear wasnt updating correctly.

Training Drill videos
- To help new users understand some concepts of the game, we have added 5 new videos to the training drills tutorial.
- Fixed a bug where negative actions were not being displayed. The odds of the ball receive when performing a one touch or header action are now displayed separately to the accuracy odds.
- These actions are now prevented from being used in offside positions. Fixed a bug with the Header shot ball path. Reduced the momentum to 75% for the player after performing a one touch or header action.
- The alignment of goal posts has been fixed.
- The competitive tab tiles will order by the next scheduled match, if you have characters in multiple clubs. The next match will be displayed at the top.
- Fixed a bug where a partial save that led to a goal would be recorded as a shot for the GK. Fixed a bug where shots on target and blocks were not being recorded correctly in some situations.
- The club stars were not updating correctly but now the ratings should be distributed evenly across all clubs.
- Fixed a bug with the player retire option.
- Fixed a bug where hotkeys were being reset if the settings page was opened at certain points during a match.

Challenge mode
- Weve added a new game mode to give users a way to play with friends against AI teams, with the chance to win credits every season. We see this as a stepping stone for new users to get used to playing with others but also something for experienced users to grind and earn back credits. After each game, each user will earn or lose rating points and at the end of each season we will reward the best performing users with credits.
- We are working to make improvements and bug fixes to our AI, to compliment this new game mode. Our AI developers have been impacted by the war in Ukraine, so we appreciate your patience and will try to complete the work as soon as possible.
- New feature for players to use during matches, so that you can quickly point out to teammates a position on the pitch. One use case for this feature will be to indicate where you want to receive a pass, but there are plenty of other situations it may be handy. Just hold down the ALT key and left click your mouse on the pitch to ping a position. Enable the option in system settings.
- Weve included some short videos to the tutorial of the game, to explain certain features in a bit more detail for new users.
- Fixed a bug for how attributes are selected for decay, as characters get older.
- Fixed a bug where the formations and player positions would sometimes be displayed for the opposite team.

One touch & heading
- One touch actions changes the turn order of the game for a turn. After a one touch move, the defending team has to move first rather than the attacking team. For a one touch move, the player interacting with the ball has to make his action instantly (like the GK does with a parry). Heading is also a one touch move, which can only be used from a high pass/cross.
- One touch moves are more punishing than regular moves. So if you attempt a one touch pass with low attributes, it has a higher chance of deviating. There is also an increased chance of the player missing the ball completely.
- The one touch and heading actions will give a 10% boost to the FFB stats of a competing player. We have also provided a 10% boost to the first player arriving at the location of the FFB.
- Players will also receive a 10% boost if they are fighting for a ball with at least one teammate, against a single opponent. However, if there are multiple players from both clubs in the FFB, then no boost will be provided for any players.
- Weve made changes to the match rating calculations for some aspects of the game. We feel like goalkeepers were getting overly punished and it was too hard to improve morale once it was low. Attacking players were getting 10.0 ratings too often.
- Successful parry actions will give a net positive rating to goalkeepers, even if the parry goes to an opposition player
- Conceding a goal while failing a save or parry will be less punishing than conceding a goal without interacting with the ball
- Defenders now lose 0.5 rather than 0.8 match rating when a goal is conceded
- Goals scored, assists & shots on target have been slightly reduced for side midfielders
- Goals scored & shots on target have been slightly reduced for centre midfielders
- Goals scored, assists, shots on target & successful receives have been slightly reduced for centre forwards
- On club match lobbies, you can now hover over a player to see the shirt number.
- Weve made more improvements to our server infrastructure. This was our priority for the last few weeks of the league, as we know how frustrating match freezes are!
- Fixed a bug where substitutes would be stuck on pending, for human and bot characters.
- Fixed a bug with some broken colour codes on the game commentary.
- Fixed a bug which was preventing the R key being available to use as a hotkey.

Home page memory leak
- A bug with the friend list on the home page was causing a memory leak when idle on the home page. Weve made changes which should reduce the game using an increasing amount of RAM continuously.
- Weve improved the UI of the game commentary to include shirt numbers and the team kit colour, to help identify players much quicker.
- Weve fixed some bugs with the attributes of the bot players and how they fill gaps in quick match & private matches.
- This option is now enabled by default, to make games with bots go faster.
- The settings are now saved to a user account, rather than a local machine. You will need to redo your preferences the first time playing this patch.
- Fixed a bug with the timer in training match, when the Skip AI option is enabled.
- Weve fixed a bug for rejoining and spectating tournament matches.

Skip AI phase
- When only AI characters are making a decision during a phase, weve shortened the timer to 2 seconds. This will make single player games run a lot quicker. This option is enabled by default, but can be switched off in the system settings if youd prefer the extra time to analyse between turns.
- Weve added some more audio to the training drill tutorials, to provide more tips to new players as they learn the mechanics.
- Weve made significant improvements to our server infrastructure. These changes should provide smoother gameplay going forward. This may lead to a few issues in the short term, which well fix as a priority
- Weve fixed a bug for characters over 38yo, who werent losing attributes correctly. The attribute decay function has been fixed and weve run a script to correct these values retroactively.

Post match screen
- New layout & design for the post match stats. More information on match stats are presented, as well as the existing player stats.
- After feedback from new users, weve made the ball more visible with a different colour and animated effect. If a user controls more than one character on the pitch, the characters will have a thin outline only visible to them.
- Weve updated the display of the turn timer in all game modes, to use the same style that we had in tutorial moments.
- Fixed the bug where player numbers would overlap and become hard to read.
- Added a help video, to explain the turn order in more detail for new users. Fixed some minor bugs with gameplay.
- Fixed a bug which would duplicate hotkeys when a large number of characters were added by the same user. Also fixed a bug with hotkeys in training match mode.
- Weve updated the text and re-organised some of the GIFs on the 7th training drill.

Training Match
- A new mode has been created for new users, to bridge the gap between the tutorials and online matches. Its a single player mode and the user can pick any position to play, without needing to create a character. The user can also disable the turn timer if theyd prefer to get more familiar with the game before adding the time pressure. Of course this game mode can also be useful for our existing users, if they want to try out new positions before purchasing an additional character.
- Competitive matches can now be accessed from the play screen, as well as the new training match mode.
- The UI of the matchmaking lobby has been updated. We feel this is a more intuitive way to add characters to a team.
- Users can now join private match lobbies with a unique code, rather than being Steam friends. The UI of the match lobby and game chat has been updated.
- Weve added some audio prompts during the tutorial and the background music has been updated.
- When a goalkeeper interacts with the ball on the goal line, sometimes a goal would be given even if the GK action is successful. This bug should now be resolved.

In patch 3.0.0 we bring some major changes which are outlined below, including a big update to the home screen, an overhaul of the tutorial system and there are further bug fixes too! Home page
- The layout of the home page has been updated to provide more information to users. It also gives new users more direction on what to do, as we received feedback that it was quite overwhelming. Announcements and new updates will be more visible, as well as new/helpful content we add to our Youtube channel.
- Weve optimised the tutorial steps to give users more flexibility. Some of the previous steps have been moved to later in the game.
- Weve made some significant improvements to the first part of the tutorials. Our focus has been on user experience and feedback, so new users can understand the game quicker and more enjoyably.
- Some improvements have also been made to the moments scenarios in the tutorial flow. These serve as a good transition into playing real matches. The phase timer has been simplified, so users can easily follow what is happening during each turn.
- As the final part of the tutorial, weve made some UI improvements to the character creation process. This is to give more visibility and information to new users.
- When a user makes a decision right at the end of a phase, sometimes the resulting action would be mixed with the AI decision. Weve now ensured only 1 decision will be acted upon by our server.
- Resolved some issues related to footballers losing attributes as they get older. This includes how attributes were selected and the values removed.
- Fixed some minor contract bugs related to negotiating wages between footballers and managers.
- Fixed the commentary when a GK uses the diving save special.

Match connection
- We identified the root cause of the issue, leading to players disappearing at kick off and moves not being taken. When we upgraded our Unity version, there was a knock-on effect causing this bug for users who dont have English as their default system language.
- Some users identified issues with attribute rounding since the Unity upgrade. There were also some inconsistencies between the attribute page and the daily training page.
- We fixed a bug in custom lobbies, when 2 users click the same position at the same time. It would allow both users control of the character in that specific position.
- We identified a bug with the inactive user pop-up. It should give a returning user the option to continue using their character or create a new character.
- Some positions in a tournament did not receive prize money. Some other minor prize money bugs have also been fixed.

- We had intermittent server issues recently which prevented some custom matches starting, which should now be resolved now.
- The player movement arrows are now displayed underneath player circles again, so invis moves are back on the menu.

Tournament registration
- We have removed the tournament registration page, so all the functionality is on the main tournament page. This should give managers more clarity on the status of tournaments. Managers can also sign-up for ladder matches directly from the tournament page.
- We now have more flexibility in how tournaments are managed. Some bugs with the reserve list have been fixed, so we can swap inactive teams from a tournament with a team on the reserve list. We also fixed some bugs related to promotion & relegation spots.

Game changes
- We have removed some features that were in place to help with early access testing.
- Friendly matches are now limited to 10 per week. Managers will get a pop-up to notify them if they have reached the limit. Also, no funds will be earned for a match if the UDP of the team is under 50%. This is to avoid clubs farming money with matches they do not intend to play.
- Additional positions can only be learnt in club matches. Custom matches and quick matches will not be counted.
- User credits will no longer be rewarded after playing matches.
- Fixed a bug where squad numbers are displayed under the player, during the tournament match intro.
- Weve added some text to the trial contract pop-up, to give new users more information when they start.
- Fixed a bug where the default squad was not being saved for a club.
- The height of the action menu is now dynamic, to avoid users having to scroll if there are a lot of actions available.
- The tackle with hands action has been buffed slightly. Also, to avoid confusion the GK will not have a save option when interacting with passes & crosses.
- The GK kit has been updated in the Bobby Sparks moment, to avoid confusion between clubs. The turn info panel has been disabled during the initial text help.

Since the recent introduction of the upgraded AI, we needed to make some improvements to the back-end of the game. Turn delay
- Resolved an issue with our servers, which caused a noticeable delay/freeze between turns. This was due to the additional stress put on the server by the new AI. We will continue to monitor the situation and will look to make further improvements in the future.
- Users can now edit the hotkeys of the players they control during a match. This also includes the hotkey used by a manager, who controls an inactive player with pro license.
- Added a border around the option which the mouse hovers over in the action menu during matches.
- Fixed a few bugs with attribute decay, when characters get older. The current generation of early build characters didnt lose as many stats as they should have before turning 30.
- Fixed a bug with quick match lobbies, where some data would be out of sync.

Some big updates this week with the introduction of a complete new system for new users to join competitive leagues along with other changes discussed below. New user ladders
- Weve created a new way to play the game, to integrate new players into the game quicker & easier. There will be ladder tournaments running throughout the day, which now include bot clubs. These clubs are self-managed by the game and play every day. They start with a group of bot players, but will look to fill the line-up with trial contract players immediately. As part of the character creation tutorial, users will be displayed with 3 contract offers from bot clubs playing in the closest time-slots available.
- Trial contract players will be able to renew their contract with the bot team through the notification system. If a player becomes inactive or their trial contract expires, the position will be re-advertised on the trial contract page. The system will ensure there is always a club available to join for every position in each ladder tournament.
- Managers will be able to view the most active players on the transfer market page. Trial contract players can be signed instantly on full contracts.
- Weve resolved the issue which caused some season matches to crash if a user joined the lobby slightly after kick-off.
- The cursor will now display a different colour in a block region of the ball path, when receive is not available. There is also a new default cursor colour, which we feel is more intuitive for new users. The classic colours will still be available as an option in the system settings.
- The turn info panel, under the scoreboard, can now be viewed by pressing a hotkey. The default key is F.
- We have now provided an option to move the camera with the arrow keys, rather than edge pan with your cursor. This is only possible when zooming in is enabled.
- Weve added some basic match sounds to the game such as crowd noise, referee whistle and half time music.
- The design of the system settings page has been updated, to include the new elements mentioned above.
- Weve improved the design of the Cup tournament overview page, during the group stage.

11v11 AI
- We have updated the AI logic for 11v11 matches. The logic is slightly different to 5v5 games, mainly due to offside rules. The AI will be updated in all game modes, but we will disable if any issues are found.
- The area in which an opposition player cant enter during a set-piece has been increased by around 50%.
- Curving now has a direct impact on how easily an opponent player can intercept a pass, cross or shot. This includes goalkeeper actions. Above 50 curving will make it harder for an opponent to intercept, but below 50 curving will make it easier.
- The design of the action menu has been updated, to be more consistent with other elements in the game.

This week we bring you a new style of tournament alongside some other changes and bug fixes. Snapshot tournaments
- As part of the recent attribute changes, we can now run tournaments based on the starting attributes of a player. So all characters will play as if we took a snapshot of their attributes when they were created. The only exception is for existing custom build characters, who will be given all-rounder attributes. Players of any age can play in the snapshot tournaments. Special actions are disabled in snapshot matches. Players can now view their starting attributes on the attribute page.
- Fixed a randomness bug, where the ball path would sometimes move slightly after the 2nd phase.
- Players no longer have the option to block a goalkeeper throw.
- Fixed a bug on the tournament page, where the wrong date was displayed under the next fixture column.

Hide chat
- Users now have the option to hide the game chat during a match by pressing enter and using the checkbox. It will be reset at the start of each match.
- Users can now view a manager profile from the club squad page. Main managers can also kick inactive assistants from this page.
- After failing an action like tackle or save, the turn info panel wasnt displaying the odds which has now been fixed.
- Some older players were losing attribute points below 0, so weve updated the logic to avoid this happening in the future.
- Some minor tweaks to the alignment of elements on the new attribute screen.
- Fixed a bug where the pass/fail status wasnt updating for some of the moments.
- Fixed the turn info text for the driven pass special action.

AI temporarily disabled
- The new AI we are using in 5v5 has been temporarily disabled in league & cup tournaments. This will avoid disruption to tournaments, while we continue to investigate the invisible arrow issue.
- Weve redesigned the footballer attribute screen, so all attributes are displayed on the screen without needing to scroll.
- We have restricted the maximum starting attribute for custom build players to 91, to be consistent with the rest of the builds. If you are looking to create a new custom character in the near future, we recommend waiting till the next patch. All will be revealed in the next patch!
- We have prevented any fouls leading to a straight red card. The only way for a player to be sent off is with 2 yellow cards.
- The alignment of the goal post in 5v5 has been slightly adjusted, after some feedback we received in a tournament match.
- The soft tackle action has been slightly nerfed. It does not apply reaction logic and was too strong in some situations.
- Managers can now remove players from the transfer list, if their situation has changed.

This weeks changes: Character Overview
- The character screen, where users can view all their characters owned, has had a significant redesign. It has a dynamic view depending on how many characters are owned. Weve also made it quicker for users to access daily training and view who still has training outstanding.
- We identified the root cause of some tournament lobbies crashing. Some of the data would get duplicated, if a user joined the lobby slightly late. We have prevented this, so joining slightly late wont impact the lobby creation.
- As part of the changes to trial contracts, managers can now set the days their club prefers to play. These will be displayed on the trial contract tiles, which new users will see. The days can be set on the trial contract pop-up for managers.
- A bug with the turn info panel has been fixed, when the GK punch action is performed.
- Weve fixed a few bugs with the calculations and turn info panel data for fight for ball actions.
- The diving save special action has been nerfed slightly.

Match connection issues
- We have resolved the issues with some user actions not taken properly. Weve also fixed the issue which prevented some characters loading into tournament matches. We are still investigating the arrow issue, which is now our priority.
- You can now add a user on Steam by going to their user profile in game and selecting the add friend button at the bottom of the page. We hope this will make communication between users easier.
- The post match stats and match replays can now be accessed on the tournament fixtures page.
- Weve added a blue border around player shirts on the manager panel, to make it instantly clear which players are inactive.
- Fixed a bug where a manager was unable to control inactive players during a tournament match.
- After feedback from multiple new users, weve made the main tiles clickable on the tutorial overview screen and added a border to indicate the current step.

Trial Contracts
- We have changed the flow for trial contracts. This is linked to an upcoming change, to improve the new user experience. Players will automatically join a club, when they select a trial contract. The manager will get a notification when a player joins them via a trial contract.
- Managers have to specify the exact positions they require players in. Players will only see trial contracts relevant to their position by default (but it can be edited). The view of the trial contracts page has also been updated for players.
- The most recent tournament matches have been rescheduled and updated in-game. The data issue has been fixed. For 5v5 matches, we are still investigating what is causing some movement arrows to be hidden for some users. We appreciate the screenshots the community has provided us!
- After some user feedback, a bug with the match rating formula for GKs has been fixed.

These are the changes added in this weeks patch. Tutorial improvements
- Weve provided a lot more support to users during the training drills. One of the drills has been simplified, as the fail rate was much higher than the others.
- When an inactive user (with only 1 character and no pro license) is identified, the character will not be deleted. Instead, their club contract will be terminated and will be hidden from other users until they login again. They will have the option to continue using the character or make a new one.
- Some visual bugs with fouls, fight for ball and receive on the turn panel have been fixed.
- After the previous fix to earning trait points, existing managers should now have their available trait points updated.
- During a match, you can use the RMB to display the action menu. You can still use a hotkey if you prefer.

These are the changes added in this weeks patch. Match engine balancing The fail % chance for GK save & parry has been increased, to accommodate the changes made for the reaction logic recently. Weve also made some tweaks to the reaction logic, to be less extreme and to limit the max bonus to 20%. Resolve timer accuracy Weve fixed some situations which were not causing the resolve timer to adjust correctly. This also includes when some fight for ball situations which were getting initiated incorrectly. Match rating bugs Weve identified a few bugs with the match rating calculations. We will continue to monitor these New club logo The logos for new clubs were not saving correctly. This has been fixed, so any clubs impacted by this bug should be able to edit their logo now. Match centre display Fixed the match centre (on club page) displaying a tournament which the club has unregistered from. Season awards Weve made some improvements to the formulas used for the season awards, that will come into effect at the end of this season. Were introducing a new metric in the match engine, which will give more importance to where the user interacts with the ball. This new logic applies to most actions without the ball. The basic logic is that if a player has more time to react, they improve their chances of succeeding the action. Please view the image below for a visual representation.

Randomness Weve added a panel under the scoreboard, which will display a summary after each turn. You can look at data from previous turns, however the panel will close if your character is required to make an action. All interactions with the ball will be displayed on the panel. There are 3 possible outcomes for every action, however some are not always applicable:
- Positive (green) - The action outcome is exactly how the user performed
- Partial positive (yellow) - The action outcome is successful, but there is some randomness applied (e.g. a pass not going exactly where aimed)
- Negative (red) - The player failed the action
As well as adding the visual representation, weve modified the randomness calculations themselves. Although factors such as confidence & condition added some uncertainty to results, the stronger player was winning too frequently (especially if attributes were close). The easiest way to explain the changes is with a few numerical examples. In the examples below, a player from each team is challenging for the ball.
The attribute score is the value we give for a specific action performed out of 100, based on player attributes and other factors. Im sure well make tweaks to this formula and other factors over time, but wed appreciate your feedback after playing some matches. Tackling
- Fixed a bug with the tackling probabilities, as the ball was going loose too frequently after tackles.
- Some issues with the scheduling of KO rounds have been fixed. It had to be manually done for the recent 5v5 cup match, which caused some inconsistencies on other pages.
- Some users had reported they were getting an inconsistent amount of training points. This should be resolved now, to just 1 training per day per character.
- Fixed some UI bugs with the club forum and some permission issues when editing posts.

This is what's been updated in todays patch, which has seen quite a few changes and fixes. Improved security
- Weve added encryption and additional security measures to all our APIs. We have done extensive testing of all aspects of the game and have not identified any bugs as a result of these changes.
- Weve improved multiple aspects of the Match HUD. Your character should now always be displayed in the bottom left, so you can see the condition/confidence of your player(s) easily.
- Weve fixed some bugs with the manager panel, as well as giving visual indicators of the player familiarity in their current position. We also give visual indication when a tactical change is pending and give the opportunity for the manager to undo changes. There are some minor bugs identified with the undo feature, which will be addressed in a future patch.
- The squad list now displays more information on the players of both teams. Users can see real time updates to the match rating and player confidence. This will also make it easier to identify issues with the match rating formula (feedback from you guys is appreciated here).
- All panels are displayed in the middle of the screen now. Weve assigned hotkeys to each panel so you can quickly open/close a panel. The hotkeys can be updated in the system settings as always.
- Our developers found one cause to some of the connection issues that have been reported in recent weeks/months. This should reduce the frequency of match timeouts in quick matches.
- Weve fixed a bug with how assists were being recorded. Previously, assists were only recorded if a goal was scored directly after receiving the ball.
- Further improvements to the player rating logic have been applied. Some of the data for position specific stats was not being saved correctly.
- Fixes have been applied to some of the player stats. This includes successful dribbles, tackles, fight for balls, cross completion and throw-ins. If you identify more stat errors (for players, clubs or tournaments) please let us know.
- A bug with renewing contracts of players over 21yo has been fixed. The panel was not displayed previously.
- One of our users identified an issue with special action training on characters owned by other users, which has been fixed now.
- The correct beard colour for players should now be visible during matches.

The additions and fixes this week are as follows:
- We identified the root cause of the problem with shooting (from an angle). This should be fixed, but with more data well be able to confirm. Well keep an eye on it over the next few days/weeks.
- The accuracy formula for passing & crossing has been adjusted. It should ensure that extreme cases of bad luck dont cause a pass to go in the opposite direction for low attribute players.
- We made some adjustments to the speed dribble formula. It should be a more noticeable boost in speed, however you are more likely to be tackled if an opponent can reach you.
- Still some match lobby freezes/crashes have been present. We believe this is due to temporary disconnection to the server in the game lobby. We have added some more logs to help identify this.
- Weve fixed the alignments of the goal posts for 11v11 and 5v5. Apologies for any goals conceded due to the misalignment!
- The retrain attribute feature has been updated, as it wasnt using the updated wages logic.
- Some characters were not increasing in age properly, due to some server downtime on the birthday of these characters. A script will be used to update the age properly.

- A bug has been fixed for the player rating (0 - 100) score, given to all footballers. This will update every Sunday and reward active users with a higher score.
- We identified some issues related to wages, which have now been fixed. Were also giving training feedback, to show more detailed data after completing training.
- Fixed an issue causing the game to crash at the end of a tournament match and stats not being recorded.
- The bug causing a few characters to be incorrectly deleted, due to inactivity, has been fixed. We sincerely apologise to the users impacted by this bug.

The additions and fixes this week are as follows:
- We have completely restructured the tutorial for new users. We take them through some training drills, to understand the core mechanics of the game in a challenging format. Thats followed by some new match scenarios, where we put the user in particular moments of a match.
- The movement of a player after a tackle has been changed. It was based on momentum previously, but now it will just reduce overall movement. A soft tackle will allow the tackler to move much further than a player attempting a sliding tackle.
- The interaction point for goalkeepers has been reworked. Now, if a goalkeeper can only reach the edge of a shot, their chances of success will be reduced.
- High pass and low pass options have been added to corner kicks.
- Fixed the text colour of shirt numbers, to adjust depending on the shirt colour in matches. The text colour of each club on the resolve timer has also been fixed to be consistent with the club colours.
- The manager paint line has been made easier to use. The manager just had to click a point on the pitch and a horizontal line will be drawn across the pitch. We expect this to be much more useful for offside traps and defensive lines. The lines also have a slightly higher thickness.
- A bug with match rating has been fixed, where the rating could be over 10.
- Users can now use ESC to cancel watching videos in the tutorial section.

The additions and fixes this week are as follows:
- We have introduced a bot to our Discord server. The function of the bot is to announce to our users when quick matches are being created in the game. The main objective is to be able to support new users, as well as giving existing users more of an opportunity to play ad-hoc games.
- We have made an enhancement to our resolve timer calculations. Our current implementation would round the timer, which would give the defending team an advantage in some situations - particularly dribble actions. Please let us know if you encounter any bugs with this change to the resolve timer.
- We have applied an additional change for the squad number feature. Existing players with duplicates have had their number forcibly changed now.
- Weve also added some wage restrictions on the contract page, to combat the farming characters. There is still enough room for managers to offer more/less money depending on their situation - it just eliminates the extremes. It is also clearer for managers what the optimal wage is for 18-21yo footballers.
- Match ratings have been tweaked for each position. We have also fixed some bugs related to stats being tracked on the character page. We are aware of an issue with assists being registered, which will be fixed in a future patch.
- Managers will now have a restriction of 30 days after they leave a club, before they can create another. This is to combat users consistently creating new clubs and using the funds to farm their characters on high wages.

We know it's been a little while since our last update but we have been working hard on fixing these changes and testing them. We're massively looking forward to season two and hope you guys are too!
- The fixture scheduling bug has been resolved. We have added more logging, so if the issue occurs again we can quickly identify the source of the bug. With this change, we can finally restart season 2!
- The kick-off issue, where players sometimes get moved to the opposition half, has been resolved. If this continues to occur please let us know details of the match.
- Managers will now be able to edit the squad numbers of players in their club. This will ensure no duplicate numbers are allowed in the squad.
- Substitutions will now be displayed as a match event. When a goal is scored, the name of the players scoring the goal and the player providing the assist (where applicable) will be displayed. The event time has been reduced from 6 seconds to 3 (for things like kick-off, goal kicks etc).
- More colours have been made available for club kits and cosmetic items.
- The matchmaking timer for quick matches has been reduced to 5 minutes.

- Users are now able to join season matches at any point, not just before kick-off. Also, if a user is disconnected during a match, they are able to rejoin.

Here's this weeks changes:
- We have added logic to remove inactive footballers, managers and clubs on a regular basis. This avoids the system being flooded by new users who don't return.
- Trial contracts will now expire after 7 days. The manager will get a notification once it has expired. The manager will need enable the trial contract again if they require more players.
- Fixed some of the errors with matchmaking logic in ladder tournaments. It will aim to not pair the same clubs against each other on consecutive days and ensure a fair balance of home & away matches.
- Fixed some situations when receive options were not available when they should have.
- The first 25% of a cross and driven pass is now not receivable.
- We have fixed bot defenders running to the goal line. There may still be some situations which cause them to do it, but the most common causes have been identified.
- The alignment of posts have been tweaked slightly to ensure they are in sync with the pitch design.
- Fixed a display bug on the footballer page which displayed previous wage of players without a contract.

Match engine We've updated the zones in the 11v11 pitch where shooting & crossing actions can be attempted. As a result of this change, we haven't had any issues with gk menu options being unavailable. We will continue to monitor it. Passing and crossing randomness has been increased, for lower skill levels. Hard shots randomness has also been adjusted. The team UDP is now calculated from all characters on the pitch, rather than just active players. Fixed a bug related to how dribble success % was calculated. Fixed a bug where bot players would receive balls from offside positions. We've fixed some offside bugs, but there are still some scenarios recently identified which will be fixed in a future patch. The default starting positions from goal kicks has been updated, to match the kick-off positions. Seasons We now restrict tournament sign-ups to clubs that have at least 3 footballers. This is to avoid inactive matches as much as possible! Clubs now have the option to unregister for a tournament, on the tournament overview page. Clubs are restricted to being registered to no more than 3 tournaments at once. Player overall ratings have been fixed. They will update based on the following factors: - How much training your character has done - Player performance, with unique criteria for each position - User activity in seasons matches - Average match rating in seasons matches You can now view a club directly from the tournament overview or standings page. Half time stats should be appearing consistently in tournament matches. All subs should now appear in the tournament intro scene. Match engine
- The default ball speeds for all actions has increased by 10-15%. This is still a work in progress and we may increase it further in the future.
- Fixed the bug allowing bot players to intercept the ball in unrealistic positions.
- Fixed some inconsistency with player morale during matches. After positive actions it would not update properly.
- After a failed dribble, a player cannot attempt to tackle an opposition player straightaway.
- Fixed the match loading bugs experienced by some users in tournament matches. More logging has been added, so if this continues to happen we will have better data to analyse the issue. There are some syncing issues with the pre-match lobby still, but this should have no impact with the gameplay.
- Fixed the tournament intro not loading for some players, giving them a blank pitch for the duration of the intro.
- Fixed the bug when a club enters multiple ladder tournaments and has a shared ELO instead of unique ELO for each ladder.
- Fixed some of the tournament stats showing incorrectly, for both player & club tab.

Tournament registration page is now available to use. For now, we are just having 2 ladder tournaments at 20:00 UTC and 02:00 UTC. Ladder matches have daily matches scheduled and uses an ELO rating system to calculate changes on the ladder. After registering for a tournament, a manager will need to opt-in to play for the next fixture. Player & club stats, fixtures and awards for the current season and previous seasons are also active on a tournament page. The match centre now displays upcoming fixtures and registered tournaments. You can access the match lobby from there, rather than the club calendar. Bug fixes - Some scenarios causing match freezing have been identified and handled. Tournament features are now enabled. We are starting with daily ladders, to test connectivity and server capacity. Each day at the specified ladder time, fixtures will be generated against other teams in the ladder. We will trial leagues once the ladder tournaments are stable. The match centre on your club page should now display upcoming fixtures (friendly & tournament). It also displays the tournaments the club is active in, so new players can easily see when matches are. A club can only take part in 3 active tournaments at once. Club forums are now enabled. We suggest using it to give new users basic guidance and possibly direct them to a discord server or something easy to chat in, with other teammates. A match thread will automatically be generated in the forum for each fixture, if you wish to add scouting notes etc. Characters are now able to message each other in game. Please let us know if you experience any issues with this (and capture screenshots if possible) as it's a super important feature to help new users! We have made some adjustments to the player movement formulas. This impacts speed & acceleration attributes, as well as momentum slightly. We'll be making some adjustments to the ball speeds and player agility soon. Tutorial videos have been added, to give a brief overview of the game features for new users. Bug fixes - Our bots were very hesitant to use high passes, which often meant their low passes would get intercepted. There should be more of a balance between low and high passes now. - Some 11v11 formations caused a bug related to the kick-off circle. - Penalty kick position has been fixed for 11v11. - Managers should now get the appropriate number of trait points after levelling up. - Some bugs leading to the goalkeeper interaction problems have been identified and fixed. - Some issues with kit colours has been fixed. Although we have fixed the custom build bug in new characters, we still had to find a solution for the existing characters. Only a small number of characters were intentionally created to abuse the bug, so we didn't want to punish all characters with a full reset. During investigation we identified another bug, which made it harder to separate the bugged characters from the rest. We have come to a solution which will be fair to all and effective immediately. All users who made a custom build character will have to re-skill their character, due to the previous bugs. Any training done since creation will be added to the total attribute points. You will have 24 hours after logging in, to re-skill characters without impacting your club bank balance. Please note, you may experience a long loading time after applying the new attributes. Due to an additional training bug found, all characters have had their training reset and been given their training points to use again. So if you created your character 7 days ago, your attributes will be reset and you get 7 training points to use.

Bank balance boost -Due to the delay to the start of the season, all bank balances under 500k have been reset. User match rating -Some adjustments have been made to the match rating formula. Please let us know if you still see extreme match ratings. Match freeze -Some bugs related to match freezing have been identified and fixed. This mainly applied to friendly matches. Training bug -When training an attribute to 100, it was getting reduced back down to 99 on the attributes page. That's been fixed now. Day Light Saving -Match times should now be adjusted to DLS. With this update, we are giving a first glimpse into what our Seasons mode will be. We'll be releasing features throughout the next few weeks & months, to get the competitive gameplay started! Here are the features included in this release: New footballer career paths
- All career paths start at the same age, however the rate that they improve & decline is vastly different
- Early - Expect an explosive start but be prepared for an early decline
- Mid - If consistency is what youd prefer, then this is the build for you
- Late - Despite a slow beginning, this build has the highest potential for greatness
- Improve your training performance with wages
- For this patch we encourage users just to use trial contracts
- For an 18yo player, the optimal wage is 20000. After 30 days, a player increases in age and the optimal wage increases by 10000
- Customise the look of your manager with unique outfit options
- Create your own club or learn the ropes as an assistant manager
- At a user & character level, we have organised the most relevant information to be displayed for you and others viewing your profile
- Keep track of stats and any awards earned too
- Design your own kit and logo
- Start with a small budget to recruit players on trial contracts
- Challenge other clubs to friendly matches, to generate funds and build a connection with your players from around the world
- Develop the club further by upgrading the club stadium and/or training ground
- Club forums to discuss match times, match tactics & scouting info on opponents
- Join tournaments and keep track of upcoming fixtures with the tournament centre
- Buy and sell players to suit your club ambitions with the transfer market

Following on from the feedback we've had since we released in early access here is the first patch notes for this new update.
- Quick Match lobbies have been changed. Our intention is to group active users together, to provide more competitive & enjoyable matches.
- The AI has also been improved. Bots should now be positioned better in open play and set pieces. Bot goalkeepers will position themselves better.
- The username of players is now displayed on the lobby formation panel, by hovering over the player.
- The scroll speed of the camera zoom during matches has been reduced.
- A bug where sub players couldn't be controlled has been resolved.
- A bug related to attribute points during character creation has been resolved.
- A leaderboard bug where all characters are not being displayed has been resolved.
