Motivation Update (and new Master with Supporters Edition)

Motivation Update: 0.6.0 patch notes


Features:
  • The Enchantress Master can be played by the owners of the Supporters Edition on Steam!

  • Enjoy an additional layer of monsters management thanks to the new Motivation system!

Improvements:
  • A new Motivation system has been added for monsters. They will lose Motivation upon death and will make a burnout for several weeks if their Motivation drops to 0. Send them to the Garrison so they can get Motivation back after a dungeon before its too late.
  • Players can now choose in which rooms their active monsters can be placed in dungeons.
  • All the players' traps are now available in trap rooms. No more random.
  • Monsters rooms can now be confirmed even without filling all the slots.
  • Plunders and Events are now also including Motivation gains or losses.
  • Business Trips rewards have been improved to include Blood, Tears and Motivation.
  • Monsters locked after an Event, a Plunder, a Business Trip or making a Burnout are now split into two categories depending on the cause of the lock. They can now be either Injured (Burnout included) or Unavailable. Unavailable monsters cant be sold at the Black Market.
  • Random rooms layouts in dungeons have been made more consistent and less punitive.
  • An explanation dialogue has been added after the first real dungeon defended by players to introduce the Motivation system.
  • A Motivation window has been added on the Schedule scene after a dungeon defense to display Motivation gained and lost by the employees.
  • Damage and Morale displayed in attacks tooltips during the Exploration of a dungeon are now taking Bonuses and Penalties in count.
  • Gold gains displayed everywhere are now taking in count Artefacts gain increase.
  • Improved the UI for dungeon map tooltips to better display monsters or traps already placed.
  • Musics and ambiance have been made even more immersive!
Balancing: Theres so much balancing that has been done for this patch that it would be too long to write all the changes down. Heres a recap list of what has been changed:
  • A significant number of monsters stats, attacks and upgrades has been balanced.
  • Skeleton Warrior stats have been significantly increased to make the Orc Sorcerer more interesting. As a downside, weve reduced the chance to resurrect monsters into Skeleton Warriors from the Crystal Skull Artefact.
  • Several Slaveholders talents have been made more impactful or have been completely reworked.
  • All heroes stats, some attacks and some skills have been balanced. Tier 1 heroes have been significantly buffed to have stats similar to Tier 2 heroes.
  • Skill trigger timing of Warrior, Assassin and Elementalist classes has been changed from at the start of the first fight to at the start of each fight. Number of effect stacks and skill damage have been reduced accordingly.
  • Several Disasters damage and/or number of effect stacks have been balanced.
  • Prices to buy and upgrade monsters or traps have been significantly reduced. This change also affects random Events costs. Selling prices at the Black Market have been changed accordingly.
  • Several random Events have been tweaked to be less punitive. The addition of positive Events in the pool should also help with the general feeling about them.
  • A fixed Seminar has been added to help players get some more Motivation back if needed.
  • The random monster given at the start of a run with the other starting monsters has been removed.
  • The Sacrificial Altar Plunder now gives a level 2 Artefact in exchange for a monsters soul.

Bugs fixing:
  • Fixed an issue where Masters XP gained past max level was not removed when reaching max level for the first time.
  • Fixed an issue where resurrected of transformed monsters still had the Bonuses and/or Penalties of the dead or previous monster.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gruesome Surprise hanged corpse was following the hero if it was dealing enough Morale to make the hero flee.
Hotfixes 0.6.0.1:
  • Fixed an issue where traps which deal morale were not applying the Demoralized effect correctly with one of the Slaveholders talent.
  • Fixed an issue where monsters VFX were displayed in Reward cards before appearing.
  • Fixed a value displayed as 0 instead of 30 in one of the Slaveholders talent tooltip.
  • Fixed missing text tag for the Circle of Mushrooms Plunder.

Icy Winds Update: 0.5.4.1 patch notes

  • 2 new monsters: the Ice Elemental and the Wind Elemental!

Improvements:
  • The Alchemist task no longer allows you to transmute an artefact into something else. Instead, you can now transmute Blood and Tears into other resources.
  • The Alchemist task will now be available more often (only in new runs).
  • Monsters are now sorted by category and level in the inventory window.
  • Cards in Business Trip, Seminar, Sanctuary, Workout and Alchemist tasks are now clickable even if they include some hoverable UI elements.
  • Hovering a masters stat upgrade in the rewards window will now display the masters tooltip.
Bugs fixing:
  • Fixed an issue where the Lure trap and the Multiaction effect interaction was not working as intended.

For this new update before winter, we've prepared a lot of surprises for you! Get prepared, heroes are coming! Features:
  • New monster: the Earth Elemental!
  • New trap: the Cursed Prism!
  • 3 new rare traps: the Lure, the Gruesome Surprise and the Mouth Shutter!
  • New events in Dungeons: the Disasters! Available from the 28th week, each Dungeon environment comes with 3 different Disasters!
  • New Task: the Black Market! You can now sell monsters from the garrison!
  • Italian and Brazilian Portuguese localizations are now available!

Improvements:
  • Rare traps can now drop after defending against a group of adventurers containing a Champion or a group of Veterans during a Champions week.
  • Rare monsters and traps now have a star icon displayed in their tooltip, as well as in the Reward window.
  • Masters spells damage and Morale are now scaled on Power like attacks.
  • A warning icon has been added to be displayed on tasks buttons when the player is short on resources needed for the task. A short warning text has also been added in the tasks tooltip.
  • Elements in the Shop, Trainer, Engineer and Gym are greyed out when the player doesnt have enough resources.
  • All the elements UI in the Shop, Trainer, Engineer and Gym are now refreshed when buying or paying for something to match the current players resources.
  • Ambiance and voice options have been added in the Audio settings.
  • A visual FX has been added when a trap is activated again thanks to the Multiaction effect.
  • Improved several attacks visual FX.
  • A new batch of translation has been done for the currently available languages.

Balancing:
  • Slaveholders base Speed has been increased from 60 to 80.
  • Slaveholders Whiplash is now healing him by 20% of damage dealt if the target is affected by Bleeding.
  • Slaveholders Enslavement damage ratio has been increased from 0.25 to 0.3.
  • Slaveholders Enslavement number of Bleeding stacks has been reduced from 5 to 3.
  • Slaveholders Intimidation Morale has been increased from 5 to 8.
  • Slaveholders talent increasing Intimidation Morale has been increased from +2/5 to +4/8.
  • 3rd Fire Elemental attack target has been changed from Mid to Front to allow for better synergies with heroes affected by Burn.
  • Dark Maguss Impairment effect applied has been changed from Elemental weakness (4) to Tiredness (2).
  • Goblins base power has been increased from 25 to 35.
  • Ghosts base power has been increased from 30 to 40.
  • Ghosts Scare Morale ratio has been reduced from 1 to 0.75.
  • Yetigos base Ice Resistance has been reduced from 50 to 40.
  • Yetigos base Air Resistance has been reduced from 40 to 30.
  • Harpys Whirlwind effect applied has been changed from Slowed (3) to Tiredness (3).
  • Orc Sorcerers base life has been increased from 75 to 85.
  • Orc Sorcerers base speed has been increased from 40 to 60.
  • Orc Sorcerers base Ice Resistance has been increased from 25 to 35.
  • Orc Sorcerers Cains Flame number of Burn stacks applied has been increased from 1 to 2.

  • Fixed an issue where an attack details in the Trainer task were not correctly showing the green arrow if an upgrade was improving said attack.
  • Fixed some language characters missing in the fonts used for texts with visual effects.

Preparation Phase Update: 0.5.3.3 patch notes


Features:

  • New rooms preview during preparation! You can now mouse over rooms to check the monsters and traps available in the next rooms or which ones have already been placed in the dungeon.
  • Players can now go back to the previous room during dungeons to change the monsters or trap placed in the previous rooms.
  • 2 new monsters: Dark Magus and Fire Elemental!
  • Halloween event has ended. Pumpkin head skeletons got their head back and dungeons decorations has been removed and put away for next year.
Improvements:
  • Schedule scene background is now displaying the last dungeon environment the player has been defending.
  • UI for effects displayed during fights has been revamped to be able to display up to 8 effects at the same time on fighters.
  • Effects duration are now displayed with a color to better distinguish Bonuses and Penalties.
  • Fighters turn order has been improved to be loaded before being shown on the screen.
  • Added a visual quality option in the Settings.
  • Added sounds for the Elementalist.
  • Hoplites passive icons in his fighter tooltip are now highlighted or grayed out to better distinguish in which stance he is.
  • Added a visual FX on the Hoplite to better distinguish in which stance he is.
  • Added a visual FX on masters Life bar in Schedule scene when healed or damaged during tasks.
  • A lot of improvements have been done for clickable elements sounds.

Balancing:
  • All heroes skills have been reworded to make them clearer.
  • Elementalist class's attack will now only jump once to the next monster if the target is killed.
  • Elementalist class's skill will now be used on the monster with the lowest Ice Resistance instead of the first monster.
  • Assassin class's skill has been changed to 8 stacks of Poison applied to the monster with the highest Life instead of 50% instant damage dealt.
  • Ice Mages Power has been reduced from 70 to 60.
  • Ice Mages Slowed stacks applied by her attack have been reduced from 3 to 2.
  • Morale dealt by attacks are now scaled on monsters Power.
  • Orcs level 3 Frenzy attack is now dealing 50% increased damage to heroes affected by Bleeding instead of applying Vulnerable to self. Frenzys Power scaling ratio has been reduced from 1.5 to 1 accordingly.
  • Goblins base speed has been increased from 110 to 120.
  • Goblins level 3 passive is now applying an additional effect stack if the target is not affected by this effect instead of dealing 100% more damage on targets that had not taken any damage.
  • A lot of balancing has been made to the monsters stats and attacks upgrades when leveling them up.
  • Terrified effect is no longer increasing Morale taken from effects such as Demoralised. It is now only doubling Morale taken from attacks and traps.
  • Armor and Resistance reductions from Broken Armor, Fire Weakness, Ice Weakness, Nature Weakness and Air Weakness effects has been reduced from 50% to 40%.
  • Gold gained from plunders, trip missions and events where monsters or traps were involved have been balanced correctly and are now also tied to the monster(s) level. Plunders were in a right spot, but events and trip missions rewards have been changed accordingly.
Bugs fixing:
  • Fixed an issue causing players to experience a black screen when loading a run in progress that had been started before the addition of a new class of hero.
  • Fixed an issue causing the game to hang after the Elementalist attack or skill was used under specific conditions.
  • Fixed an issue with the Lost Adventurer Event displaying the wrong Tears gain on the Scare choice button.
  • Fixed an issue with Show No Mercys spell description displaying wrong information.
  • Fixed an issue where the Flame Eaters Spontaneous Combustion attack would grant the player more Blood than intended if the Burn damage of the remaining stacks was dealing overkill damage to the hero.
  • Fixed an issue on the reward screen where hovering the far right element could result in the tooltip from the trap in the room to be displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Masters Intimidation Spell was applying Terrified before dealing Morale to heroes.

  • Fixed an issue causing price reduction talents for specific monster types to be applied to all monsters instead.
  • Fixed an issue where killing and scaring a hero with the same attack was giving blood and tears at the same time. It will now only give blood. Dead heroes cant flee.

Prologue Demo Release on October 10th!


We're glad to announce we will release a new demo version of Legend of Keepers on October 10th! It will feature new game mechanics such as blue tears and red tears. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1151080/Legend_of_Keepers_Prologue/
These are new ingame rewards that will allow you to diversify the options you pick at the trainer or other events. It will improve replayability a lot! Blue tears are gained when you deplete the morale of a hero. Red tears are gained when you kill a hero during a dungeon. We hope this will give more weight to those two options while playing!
The skill tree will improve your game session customization. You will have several traits to upgrade your monsters, traps and more!
The snow theme will diversify the game experience. The classic dungeon is a must, but what about those icy caverns? It's a must-have in all dungeons!

Legend of Keepers: Prologue is a free playable alpha demo of Legend of Keeepers. It's a tactical dungeon management game where you play as the bad guys! You're the Boss of the Dungeons Defending Department and need to protect the company's treasures against pesky heroes! This version of the game contains around 1-2 hours of gameplay and introduces Legend of Keepers mechanics, lore building and game strategy.

Each run will be different but players will keep some bonuses for their master between runs. In fact, our game is a mix between Roguelite and a Dungeon Management. How did we achieve that? We've run many tests to find the perfect mix between a management and a dungeon phase!

Dungeon Phase


First, you will have to plan your defense against a group of adventurers. Check their stats and resistances, then place the best traps and monsters to defeat them! When you think your dungeon is ready, let the crawl begin!

You will then be able to watch those heroes die! It's a reversed dungeon crawler, heroes will move through your dungeon and will trigger the traps you've placed. When a group of adventurers meets a group of monsters you've positioned in your dungeon, a turn-based fight will happen!
