We are proud to release the Character Customization update!
With new Character Customization features you can now select different hair, skin and suit colors when you begin a new game.
When you spawn in a co-op player you will now also be able to select your choice of either male or female character models.
Weve continued to refine Deserted by fixing additional critical bugs.
-Adjusted some playable areas for columns so they will no longer be blocked.
-Fixed bugs relating to experience points on speeder and on foot.
-Continue to adjust the play-ability and visibility of levels.
-Refined the AI behaviours on some enemies in COOP.
-Additional difficulty balance when playing Co-Op
For the next update we have also started work on more performance improvements.
Hot fix for controller and keyboard + mouse
The Deserted balance update 1.26 is finally ready. We went through the entire game and re-adjusted enemy difficulty, added new enemy types to further smooth out difficulty transitions, and re-worked a handful of enemies for a better experience.
-In The accessibility menu we added Easy, Normal (Default) and Hard difficulties.
Easy is meant for a casual, low stress experience. Combat goes at your own pace, and survival is toned down.
Normal is a balanced experience. No longer will starting enemies drain your supplies and your health, and we've increased the challenge as you start to become more powerful. This is the recommended experience.
Hard is closer to what the balance was prior to this update. Enemies will test your survival skills to their maximum. Full engagement with all the systems we provide is critical for success.
-Zombie Cyborgs now have a chance to become frenzied. In this state they will mutate and become much more agile, watch out!
-If playing with keyboard and mouse while having a controller disconnect, you can now use the keyboard to escape the dialogue box.
-Scanning items with the drone now plays a shorter animation.
-Map text is localized.
-More polish and fixes added to various maps throughout.
-Moving columns were refined and fixed. They are now limited to a playable area and no longer able to get stuck inside geometry.
-Various bugs fixed throughout the game.
Expect a performance patch and light character customization.
We plan on releasing an additional large polish pass that will tackle audio, music, add more crafting recipes for more survival options, make further refinements to story cut-scenes, and tackle other areas of the game.
We are now getting much closer to what we wished we could have launched Deserted with. Our journey isn't over yet and hope everyone will enjoy a better balanced and stable game with this patch. If there are any suggestions, concerns or bug reports please contact us.
