New Case

Welcome to another case for McQueen and Dooley in the quaint little city of Twin Lakes. This time, our intrepid detectives find a note saying they should head to the Twin Lakes Botanical Gardens. What could possibly be in store? Vegetarian werewolves? A mean, green mother from inner space? A space ghost on a trip coast to coast? None of those things! But if you want more information, you'll have to play a little Darkside Detective to figure them out!

Chinese Localization

Today's update also adds Chinese localization for the Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark! We've gotten A TON of feedback from chinese players that they'd love to play the game in their native language, so we're very happy to oblige them!

How's it going, all you spooky folks? In case you haven't heard, Hitcents is running a big exciting Steam event called The Big Adventure Event this week! From January 21st to the 25th, a bunch of adventure games are getting together for this celebration of all things adventure-y and point-and-click-y. So, obviously, The Darkside Detective is part of it! We've got a bunch of fun streams popping up throughout the event, including a juicy one for The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark. On Thursday, January 21st at 1PM EST we're going live on Steam with a special gameplay teaser showing off some of the action in a case from the upcoming spectral sequel! There are plenty of other amazing adventure games taking part in The Big Adventure Event, too, and plenty of them are going to be streaming just like us! We made it, chums, and with 72 hours remaining! Looks like were going hunting for Dooley! We want to thank you from the bottom of the cursed well where weve hidden our hearts. Were so pleased with the support weve gotten here, on social media and on our discord . We have announced a bonus case stretch goal (info below) but whatever happens from here on out, were very happy and excited to start - in fact, we already have. Cases are being blueprinted, scene pixelated and jokes are percolating. Anyway, onto the stretch goal case:

Stretch Goal Case: The Darkside Detective Anthology McQueen and Dooley aren't the only people in Twin Lakes and they certainly aren't the only ones living interesting lives. The anthology case consists of a number of short shorts focused on a day in the life of other characters you've met in Season 1 The Bloodwolves, Ghouley and McScream, and Raxa. So, if that tickles your fancy, theres still time to bump up your pledge and share the kickstarter on social media. Remember, every time a person pledges, an angel gets its wings (or something).
