P.A.R.R. - Planetary AI Research Rover is a game about exploration and recovering lost tech parts to complete your mission █████████  on planet ███████.  It appears some of your memory was REDACTED for an unknown reason.

  • Controls (F1) for help
  • WASD to move
  • Space - Brakes
  • Right Mouse - Rotate Camera
  • Scroll Wheel - Zoom
  • Left-click slot (in build area) install part
  • Control-left-click slot (remove part)
  • M - Toggle music
  • ESC - Pause menu

First godot gamejam, started 4 days late so had to rush and leave some content out.  Will update if enough interest.  Thanks for playing and any feedback welcome!

  • Added light to top of beacon finder that matches sound
  • Added new camera controller with options for auto rotate, free look, stabilization, and invert axis
  • Added rebind-able controls
  • Added effects audio channel and volume slider
  • Added very subtle texture to ground/rocks to help show movement
  • Added number to build area zone to assist player in navigation
  • Added some tool tips to items in options
  • Added cursor changes over rover slots to show when they can be interacted
  • Added tips for player to restart map if out of power without energy generation blocks
  • Added update text to main menu screen with version

  • Added dust particles for windy level 2
  • Added special pick-up that goes to next level in game+ mode

Tweaks

  • Extended range of beacon finder (2x)
  • Adjusted volume of pick-ups and wild card sound effects
  • Improved animation on level end window
  • Decreased wind turbine energy output by 20%
  • Decreased brake force by 50% to smooth out stopping
  • Moved beacon finder to easier location to find in level 2

Bug fixes

  • Fixed collision on a few rocks
  • Fixed crash bug with audio sliders
