Controller input has been overhauled and is now fully supported.
Criticals will display sequences of button presses required, increasing each time a sequence is completed successfully.
An error with some boss encounters has also been patched.

Just a small update with a few minor bug fixes and Steam Controller input; there's a basic controller config available but please share any new configurations.
It's pretty hectic using the controller to boost Criticals so I may implement a new way to click these, button combos or something of the like. If you have any suggestions please let me know...

Here's a closer look at some Entity Researchers XP data and Mission requirements.
The Experience curve for leveling has changed considerably over time, Levels 1-30 remain the same but the later game became a grind. As you can see below XP required from level 30 onward is reduced significantly.
Experience curves for Level 1-50
Entity XP yield has increased by around 10%, though as you level up the XP will reduce accordingly, Casefile and Elite entities drop a little extra XP increasing by around 15%.
As many entities will be capped to their maximum level, XP gain slows in the later levels further compounding the grind in the previous XP curve.
This could be somewhat mitigated with +XP Up Unique items though this modifier is quite rare for dropped Uniques leaving this option dictated too much by chance.
As Missions are compulsory to the completion of the main Entity Researchers narrative more players should now reach the final group of Missions.

Entity Researchers is finally out of Early Access!
Feels great to get this far and I couldn't have done it without all the people that have supported the game so far so thank you!
As a mostly procedurally-generated game it can be extremely hard to find bugs and I would never have been able to find and fix even a fraction of the problems; but thanks to everyone's input the game has been running well for a while so once again thanks!

Entity Researchers will finally be leaving Early Access on March 2nd.
It's been great gathering feedback and hugely improving the game since EA release.
Thanks to everybody that has supported the game during this time, plenty of things have changed over the EA period; a list of changes and additions will be included with the V1.0 update.

With this final update all the Casefile entity models are now unique, now Entity Researchers can finally be called complete. With 30+ new models the game is now much more fleshed out, each Casefile entity encounter will now be much more memorable.
The next version will hopefully be V1.0 and the move to full release.
Plenty of stuff to be done behind the scenes, hopefully I will have a more concrete release date soon but the game is ready.

Just a minor update filling out the entity images, all 90 basic entities are now complete, it's taken a while.

Thanks everybody for playing Entity Researchers, the game has been in Early Access for nearly six months now and lots of things have been fixed and added in that time.
It's been a tough time working solo but I think the game is at the point to move from Early Access.
As updating everything and such requires plenty of effort I will probably only be fixing bugs from this point forward as I prepare everything else, I suppose this means Entity Researchers is now feature complete.
I'm aiming to move from Early Access in February if all goes to plan; once again thanks to everybody that's made Entity Researchers better.
There's new Entity sprites in the game for the ten Rare entities and as I move through the files and replace duplicates with new sprites the game will finally be complete, this was the biggest behind-the-scenes job that really needed to be finished and it's moving closer to completion.
There's four new achievements for defeating Contract Casefiles, from 1 to 20 contracts. The drop-rate for Contracts has also been increased from Casefile entities.

With the new Generator item a 100 level endurance map with a Case entity every 10 levels will be created. Generator encounters will use totally random entities disregarding location and time, providing plenty of XP and Res but no items, entities not in your Database will appear but be rendered unscannable.
All entities will level-scale as high as permitted to the player level including Casefiles so the Generator will definitely be punishing. The Generator is unlocked at the end of the main story Missions.
There are four new Steam Achievements for beating Generator levels 10, 40, 70 and 100.
You may encounter two new rarer NPCs while exploring, Dr. Moss is active during the day and Rolk at night. The NPC rate has been increased so all random NPCs now appear more frequently.
Find Doctor Moss out in the field researching during the daylight hours, for entity information from your Database she'll reward you with Res.
At night the telepath Rolk could appear, gifting Stat Points every time he chooses to arrive.
The Player career Objective line has been extended with extra late-game objectives to prevent looping too early.

Plenty of minor changes mechanically to tighten up elements of the game.
Move Aim targeting has been cleaned up to more accurately display a Hit/Miss, hopefully no more fury over a Hit on the edge that looked like it landed.
Aim target growth using +Criticals items has also increased for more immediate effect.
Rare entities have also had an overhaul to coincide with the new Hunter Steam Achievement; research any of these ten unclassified entities to unlock. Rare entities now have blue names and a new field animation, their EIRINet Database entries have also been altered. The Rare entity rate has also been slightly reduced to 1/400, so still quite elusive!
The basic entity HP curve has been smoothed for less growth spikes at certain Player level thresholds.
An issue when replacing ERX-Mod pieces is also now fixed.
The Luck stat threshold for Rare+ Uniques has also been reduced, so occasionally a nice Rare+ could drop earlier in the game.

With item inventory sorting it's much easier to deal with large amounts of items, you can now sort the inventory by types; Equipment, ERX-Mods, Ores and Uniques.
Find NPC Reso every day to enter the daily lottery, if digits from the daily number match your ID number you'll win Unique items, Rare for one, Ultra Rare for two and a Secret Rare for three numbers matched.
When adjusting Sensitivity battle backgrounds move less, statuses are semi-transparent and the transition flash is removed; please get in touch if any other elements of the interface need to be modified for sensitivities sake.

So... v0.13 was cursed. The game had a few balancing issues, including being insanely hard.
The game is re-balanced with plenty of other bug fixing beneath the surface.
More work will be done for the next update to further address issues of difficulty scaling at higher levels.
Major bugs should also be absent from further builds, this update primarily addresses issues in the code.

With the introduction of a right-click quick sell menu on inventory Items, selling Items is greatly improved. You no longer need to drag and increment the Items in the Market, just right-click an Item in the Item tab to sell either one or all of an item.
All Moves now have progressively more complex Aim rounds, moving from one to four stages eventually for some advanced moves.
Screen has also seen some attention, fixing a few bugs including XP gain and leveling.
Screen now also has a Damage Reflect bonus round, from 2 bonuses at Level 1 to 4 at Level 3 for up to 50% damage reflection.
Also access Terminals to unlock mini-map data including items and entities.

Thanks for playing everybody. Random Jobs now have a few different objectives instead of just clearing the area. Includes sweeping area to save survivors. recovering damaged ERX units and reclaiming EIRI item caches. Going to need work but they add some variety to the killfest, I'll also add more. For balance and challenge available item quantities in the Market are reduced; but items are now generally cheaper. To counter this salvaging an ERX unit will reward ERX-Mods (previously only available through Market), the EIRI caches drop extra loot and Survivors reward Res. Version 5 introduces a new Bonus round for Critical hits, still more work to be done but functional. Things have changed since Version 4 including plenty of bug fixes and general balancing. Notes: New Critical bonus round. Stat Points notification fixed. Item bug fixed. Sell menu fixed. Reduced Market prices. Damage balancing. Less entities per map. No extra-large maps. Job level caps entity level. All Missions working. Hopefully if running smoothly I'll be moving on to a few side-quest NPCs/merchants in the maps and working on the Missions which need attention, non-story Missions are removed for now but eventually they will have new objectives to differ from normal Jobs. I've played through all the story Missions and they now all work correctly. I'll also be adding more Critical bonus types and extra bonuses for higher level moves. Thanks for helping hunt down all the problems this far. I think the game feels pretty solid right now... Got some awesome ideas for new stuff and the game's only going to keep getting better. Greetings! Plenty of things fixed in this new build, thank you all for your feedback. Still plenty of things to do but some of these broke the game. Notes: Electric Research Rate fixed. Shift/click to move Items to and from the Loadout. Cutscene bugs. Less entities per level. More XP per slain entity. Entities move more in the Viewport. Possibly fixed Cultist mission bugs. Speed stat now affects turn time, attack aim speed and scan target speed. Move glitch now removed, this corrupted save files and lots of things were affected. If you have items/moves in your current save that has a glitched name or info consisting of numbers you will need to start a new game unfortunately. AB
