New Level: Kingdom of Balloons
Level by: tepid Level vfx by: tepid Character sprites and background by: Kamayana Song by: Kurubukko We've added a new level as part of our collaboration with indie game, Circle of Sparks! Circle of Sparks is a decorative rhythm game by WizDream Games, where you'll be setting up your own room and hanging out with characters in between the songs. In our level, you'll be treating Sophia and Lune as they travel into a virtual reality world. You can find Kingdom of Balloons in the Basement ward, alongside our other guest patients. You'll need to have cleared level 4-4 to unlock Kingdom of Balloons.
New Minigame: Rhythm Weightlifter
We've added a new minigame! You can find it in the Act 5 Physiotherapy Ward. Rhythm Weightlifter is an experimental minigame about testing your ability to keep 2 separate rhythms in sync with each other. You can either play solo (with two hands) or play together with a friend in local co-op.
You'll be given barbells with different weights stacked on each end. One side might need to tap quarter notes on the beat, while the other side has to tap sixteenth notes, to keep the weightlifter from dropping the barbell. As the challenges go on, the rhythm combinations will get harder and harder. Also, a twist: there's no music to help you. Good luck with becoming the Rhythm Weightlifting Champion! Special thanks to DeadlySprinklez for help with making the prototype of Rhythm Weightlifter, thank you to Wopa for all the great Weightlifter in-game art, and thank you to Tempo Lab Games (creators of Bits & Bops) for letting us use their audio latency engine.
Improvements and Fixes
- 5-X can now be played in 2-Player mode
- Lucky now wears a new outfit when controlled by Player 2 in 2-Player mode
- Janitor spawn behavior re-worked. Now, the Janitor can be found in the ward of the level you most recently played.
Level Editor Improvements and Fixes
- New VFX Preset: Balloons
- The event inspector panel in the level editor has gone through a major UI overhaul. Most events are now using standardized UI elements to create a more cohesive look and help us add new features more easily. Please let us know if there are any visual or game issues with both new and old levels or something like that.
- Added "Language" and "Player Mode" conditional support for the following Sound events: Say Ready Get Set Go, Set Beat Sound, Set Beats Per Minute, Set Counting Sound, Set Heart Explode Interval, Set Heart Explode Volume Note that events like Play Sound will continue to have their current behavior with conditionals, that is they check for their conditional an amount of time equal to your offset setting before the event occurs.
We've made some small fixes.

New Level
We have a new level: Fixations Toward the Stars We're collaborating with indie rhythm game, vivid/stasis! A few months back, you might have seen that they added All The Times (Rhythm Doctor) and It Go (A Dance of Fire and Ice) as playable levels. This time, Saturday and Allison visit Middlesea. Much like us, vivid/stasis combines rhythm gameplay with characters and a narrative, so it was really fun to be able to crossover like this. Go check out the game if you haven't already!

Middlesea Hospital has become a popular place to visit, so we've opened up a new ward. You can now enter the Basement, which is basically Ian's office. That's where you'll find the new vivid/stasis collaboration! You'll also find our crossover levels with fellow rhythm games Bits & Bops and Unbeatable. The story of Rhythm Doctor continues! Today, we've added Act 5 to Story Mode. This is a free update that continues the story right where Act 4 left off. When you start up the game and continue your save file, you'll notice a new hallway in Middlesea Hospital: the Physiotherapy Ward.
Have fun! We had a lot of fun making it.
Warning: We're aware of an issue where on some computer setups, Rhythm Doctor is crashing upon start-up. This may happen on Intel GPUs, but we're investigating other causes.
One thing you can try is updating your graphics drivers, to see if that resolves the issue.
We're working to fix this, and are going to aim to have it fixed by tomorrow! Thanks so much for your patience!
New Features
Act 5: Enter the Physiotherapy Ward, meet our new patient, and play 4 new Day Shift levels and 2 new Night Shift levels. New Night Shift level added to Act 4, "4-4N Murmurs" New Level Editor Features: New heartbeat types and a new character seen in Act 5 have been added to the Level Editor, to use in your own custom levels! Act 5 FAQ
Q: What is Act 5? A: Act 5 is the next chapter of Rhythm Doctor's Story Mode. It's a free update, added as part of our Early Access, to continue the story of Ada Paige and everyone else at Middlesea Hospital. It takes place immediately after the conclusion of Acts 1-4, which have comprised the game since we first released on Steam. Remember when you saved the hospital from that virus? Q: How do I unlock Act 5? A: It is unlocked after you complete Acts 1 through 4, including the Night Shift boss level "Super Battleworn Insomniac." You will also need to complete, or have already completed, 2-1N "wish i could care less" in the SVT Ward. Q: How many Acts will Rhythm Doctor's story have? A: We're aiming for one or two more, but we're not quite sure yet. Act 5 is not the conclusion of the story! We are not currently planning to do any more "main story updates" to the game until the rest of the story is completely finished and we're leaving Early Access. We feel this is a good place to leave off for now, and we'll continue working quietly towards the conclusion! Q: I'm going to stream the game on Twitch or Youtube. Should I record my whole desktop again? A: Yes, you should probably record your whole desktop instead of just the game window. Or you can adjust your settings in the Settings menu, where it says "Window Movement." If you've played the rest of the game, you probably know what this means. Thank you so much to everyone who has played Rhythm Doctor, streamed it for people around the world, made custom levels, posted fanart and fanfic, and cheered us on during our continued development! When making a game like this, it's hard to know how much it'll click with anyone else, but we've been surprised and delighted to see how much love there's been for this game and our characters. Act 5 has some challenging levels in it, so if you're rusty with your rhythm skills, you might want to warm up with an earlier level. Good luck, and thanks for playing! [previewyoutube=Hyv9YLCtkTE;full][/previewyoutube] Hello everyone! We are so close to done, but we need a little more time! Act 5, our free story update to Rhythm Doctor, will now launch on November 4th, 2023. As always, we're trying to maintain a healthy workflow without having to overwork anyone on the team. We're very excited to show you what we've been working on. Thanks for playing, we'll see you soon! Hello everyone! As you know, Rhythm Doctor is still in Early Access. We launched in Early Access so that we could continue the story, add new levels, and flesh out different mechanics and features before considering the game "complete" by our original vision.
Our first major story update, the Act 5 Update, is coming soon! Very soon, actually. We plan to release it on October 21st, 2023.
Act 5 picks the story up right where we left off, after you've established yourself as an integral part of the Middlesea Hospital team. The update will feature a new ward with a new patient, new type of heartbeat, and new levels.
We've been working hard on this for a while, so we're excited for everyone to see what we've been working on. We'll have more to say in October!

Fundraiser Results
At the end of May, we announced that we were holding a short fundraiser for National Cancer Society Malaysia in memory of Jyi Sim, one of our voice actors. Shortly after posting that announcement, we were honored to see how many people reached out with their condolences and with their support.
Thanks to you, we sold a whopping 1362 copies of Rhythm Doctor during the fundraiser. After that, we had a wait few months to receive the final payment (which has to subtract out taxes, Valve's platform cut, and other fees.) Now that we've received the money, we'll be donating RM37,800, around 8200 USD, the total of what we raised during the fundraiser period. Thank you all so, so much. We're a small team with a small game, so seeing you all show your support on Twitter, Steam, and Discord for our fundraiser really meant a lot. Folks had really nice things to say not just about the game but about Jyi's contribution specifically. We're glad that Rhythm Doctor could make a positive impact on your life. So thank you for helping us make a positive impact in the world! Just because the fundraiser's over doesn't mean the fight against cancer is over. There's no wrong time of year to check out National Cancer Society Malaysia to see how you can help. Or any of the local organizations doing good in your own area. Once again, thank you so much.
Where To Find More News From Us
We've been looking to try something new and branch out where you can hear about updates from us. If you're already reading these update posts here on Steam...you're in a pretty good place! But we know that a lot of people aren't here, reading these things. To help with that, we're now going to try making some Update Videos to post on Youtube and other platforms. These will help recap updates that people might not have heard about, or announce new things. You can watch the first one here: [previewyoutube=kpuS0vKyEE8;full][/previewyoutube] It's a lot of info that you might already know, but it might be worth watching to the end anyway... We're going to try to be more active on Youtube in general. In addition to our Twitter and Discord Server, we're also going to try to be more active on Instagram and Cohost too. Doesn't hurt to have a few choices, right? (Because of Steam's handy feature for letting you post in multiple languages, these Steam posts are still the best place for news in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean.) Thanks so much for reading, thanks for playing, and we can't wait to tell you more about Rhythm Doctor Act 5! The bottom of this post is where I usually list links to where you can find us, but...I guess I did that already.
Hello everyone,
Near the end of 2022, we received heartbreaking news that one of our voice actors, Jyi Sim, passed away peacefully after a long battle with lymphoma cancer.
We were lucky enough to work with Jyi as the voice for Rhythm Doctor's Nurse, who helps count and cue for the player, and as a singer in the beautiful Chinese renditions of "One Shift More" and "All The Times."
We were devastated to hear of her passing, and send our prayers and well wishes to her family. May her soul rest in peace.
In the time since mourning the loss of Jyi, we have spoken with her family about ways we can help them in this difficult time. At their recommendation, we have decided to raise money for National Cancer Society Malaysia*, an organization which Jyi herself was a donor to for years.
You can learn more about NCSM on their website: https://cancer.org.my/
From Friday, May 26th at 1:20pm PST to Sunday, May 28th at 1:20pm PST, Rhythm Doctor will be on sale for 10% off. All proceeds from the game made during this period will be made as a collective donation to NCSM**
We deeply appreciate any support you can give. If you already have a copy of the game and still wish to find a way to support the fundraiser, we invite you to purchase a gift copy on Steam for any friend you have who may love music. Alternatively, you can also visit this page to learn about ways you can support NCSM directly: https://cancer.org.my/donate/
We look forward to your support, and will update you on the amount raised after the sale's conclusion.
One of Jyi's wishes was to share her journey with cancer so that others can learn from it. She published a number of videos on Youtube documenting her life with cancer while also sharing her experience and her music.
Please check out her videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNXn7ZbVZ7M
We hope you will join us in celebrating our memory of Jyi, supporting her family through this difficult time, raising money for a great cause, and enjoying the work Jyi shared with the world.
Thank you,
The 7th Beat Games Team
*In the event that there are issues preventing a donation to NCSM, or in the event that the family of the deceased requests that we donate to another organization in the same field or needs help in the financial recovery of her passing, we will redirect the donation to the family's choosing. If this happens, we'll post an update on the donation. We want to respect the family's final decision.
**Donation total will be calculated after Valve's portion of revenue and taxes are deducted.

Hello interns! We hope you've been enjoying Rhythm Doctor, and the RD Steam Workshop. The year is coming to a close, but we have one last update of 2022 here before we take a short break and enjoy our holidays.
New Level
We have a new level: Meet and Tweet! Meet and Tweet (music by Zorsy, level by Jenny, tutorial by s9menine, art by Winston and Kyle) is based on a level from Bits & Bops, a new one-button rhythm game coming soon to Steam. We're huge fans of the game (the gameplay, the art, the music!) and we were excited for the chance to work together with the devs at Tempo Lab Games to take one of their minigames and translate it into Rhythm Doctor. Someone left the window open, and now Mrs. Stevenson's pet cockatiel has made a new friend. Do your best to make compelling, birdly conversation (while defibrillating.) Check out the Bits and Bops Kickstarter campaign if you want to help bring the game to life. You can also find a free demo over on Steam and play it yourself!
Additions and Improvements
-New Gameplay Mechanic: Syncopated Beats. These are seen in the new level, Meet and Tweet, and now you can add them to levels yourself in the Level Editor. -Editor: Paint Hands event now as an Opacity Option -Editor: Added a Color Palette for quickly changing colors in Events -Editor: Customize Wave Type, Wave Height, and Wave Width for Oneshot beats
Rhythm Doctor Act 5
Originally, we had hoped that we could release Act 5 of Story Mode by the end of 2022. Although we are well underway in Act 5 development, we ended up taking a lot onto our plate in December and decided we need to push Act 5 back a little bit. We're aiming to release that Act 5 update in the first half of 2023. Act 5 centers around the arrival of a new patient in Middlesea Hospital. Some of the cast are pretty excited about it! Here's a small look at Dr. Paige consulting with the new patient in the halls between treatments.
Exciting, right? Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Thanks for playing, we'll be back with more updates in 2023! Twitter: https://twitter.com/RhythmDrGame Official Discord: https://7thbe.at/discord/ Website: https://7thbe.at/

This update has a myriad of level editor improvements and platform updates like native Linux compatibility. Wed also like to introduce the newest member to the team, Random Guy JCI! He was already a big part of the community before, making some great custom levels and programming mods to improve the game and level editor. Thanks to team members Random Guy JCI, megaminerzero, huantian and Satellite for all the tweaks and improvements, and also to HeySora, huantian and antonio for the backend work!

Requires GTK for file pickers and xdg-open for opening files, these should also be installed on most distributions. - Note: True window dance on Linux has been disabled, as it doesnt seem to work well with all Linux desktop environments or window managers. Window dance is set to Simulate by default instead. - Make sure to keep an eye out for any Linux related issues or bugs, such as issues with the file chooser or explorer, or custom level saving and loading. If you find any, contact us via our discord server: https://7thbe.at/discord

Hello, rhythm interns! Heres a progress update on our development. The previous update at the end of March was a big one, with Achievements, full Japanese Localization, full gamepad compatibility and more. Our sound designer s9menine and programmer Jose have been making lots of progress on Accessibility. And a lot of work is being done on the backend of the level editor to make it easier to add future new events and mechanics, thanks to lead programmer Giacomo and programmer huantian! Amidst all of this, rest assured that work on the game's Story Mode is not forgotten, and you can still expect a major update to that later this year. Thank you for supporting our game! In case you missed it, over on Twitter we have been occasionally posting comics from our PR Manager, Kyle! You can read what all the characters at Middlesea Hospital get up to while you're not playing, or you can read this story about Paige and Ian in college. If you use Instagram, we have an Instagram now and will start sharing those comics on there too!
Everhood + Rhythm Doctor Steam Bundle
Starting today, we have an Everhood + Rhythm Doctor Bundle live on Steam! Check it out to complete your set of "2021 music-centric indie adventures!" We're excited to pair up with the developers of Everhood on this. Rhythm Doctor owners get a discount on Everhood, Everhood owners get a discount on Rhythm Doctor. Or get both games if you've never checked them out! Just make sure you do it through the bundle, that's what gives you the 10% discount! And it stacks on top of the Steam Summer Sale, too.
v0.11.5 (r25) Patch Notes
changelog hype...! Features:
- New Tutorial For 3-1 Garden: People were having trouble with the level introducing multiple rows without any tutorial.
- Beatsound Pitch Variance setting: Enabling this allows Odd-numbered beats (1, 3, 5, 7) and Even-numbered beats (2, 4, 6) to have different pitches, to make the game easier to play by sound.
- Audio Tweaks for Blind Accessibility: We've added Train sound effects when you enter the Train. Making multiple mistakes in a row gradually decreases the "heart crack" sound volume, and restores when you hit Perfects. Many levels' beatsounds altered to better support audio-only play, especially when beats on the same row overlap.
- Intimate 2P: Hailey is now properly the Player 2 character.
- Art Exercise: Hailey doesn't show up in 1P anymore, Lucia is back from the void.
- Steinway: Change made to beatsounds.
- X-WOT Worn-Out Tapes (Unbeatable Crossover) now counts as part of 100% Game Completion.
- Panning strength setting has new maximum of 200%.
- Default template: Newly created levels will contain a play song event, classic row, and set theme event. purpose is to add a little help to people new to the editor. Customize the default editor template by putting your custom level at Documents/Rhythm Doctor/template.rdlevel
- Early Access Level Editor now properly shows unsaved level pop up when exiting with Alt+F4 and window X button.
- Selecting an Event type & toggling Event active/inactive now play a sound effect in the level editor.

- Set Clap Sound editor event enhancement: has separate setting for CPU clap, and you can toggle which clap sounds to change.
- Errors when starting some levels.
- CLS import url error handling.
- Missing 2 player conditional.
- Startup errors for some system languages.
- Calibration using last input offset and not average offset.
- Some apostrophes showing with a space after it.
- Story mode calibration not continuing to Intro cutscene.
- 2-1N tutorial repeating "go" cue on loop.
- Playing many typing sounds when pasting text in CLS.
- Play animation event not working when not using any rows.
- Many Localization fixes for Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
- Fixes for Unicode characters and vector font (all characters unsupported by pixel font should force vector font in most places) and simplified Chinese font.
- Bug where hitting two identical beats in different rows resulting sometimes in one hitting correctly and the other missed shouldn't happen again
Its almost hard to believe that its already been one year since the launch of Rhythm Doctor onto Steam Early Access.
On one hand, the year has flown by, and were still working hard on future Story Mode content and juggling various different things the best we can.
On the other hand, the game somehow feels like its been around forever. The overwhelming pace of fanart, tweets, livestreams, videos, custom levels, discussion, speculation, fan projects, and more have Paige and Ian feeling like old friends who weve been sharing with you for years. We cannot thank you enough for all of the kindness and generosity youve given us, and all the outpouring of enthusiasm weve seen from players.
Its heartwarming to see the game resonate with people, whether its because theyve clicked with the gameplay, enjoy making custom levels, or love spending time with the characters. Thank you so much.
To celebrate our One Year Anniversary, we wanted to share some announcements of new and upcoming updates!
Japanese Localization
Rhythm Doctor is now available in Japanese! Were a small team, so every new language requires a lot of time and teamwork. Were very excited to have Rhythm Doctor easily available to Japanese players now! Let us know in the comments of this post if you encounter any bugs or errors while playing in Japanese. Hello everyone! Have fun, and thanks for playing!
Decorations Tab
This new feature for the Level Editor is something were hoping is going to give players a lot more freedom and flexibility in creating their own levels. Using the Decorations Tab, players can now freely add image assets to their level with various options.
In the past, your only options to add assets were to add them as a playable character row, a background image, or a foreground image asset. Now, using the Decorations Tab, you can freely add and control image assets in your level without needing to use those workarounds. We cant wait to see what creators are able to pull off with it!
Steam Deck + Full Gamepad Compatibility
Its almost hard to believe that the Steam Deck is already here! If you ordered one, youve probably been wondering if Rhythm Doctor will be compatible for playing on-the-go. The answer is Yes! We're working hard on getting that green Deck Verified checkmark by patching the game for full button controls, testing the game on Steam Deck, and meeting all of Steam Decks requirements for running smoothly. If the game doesnt already show up in your library as Deck Verified with the latest update, then well hopefully have it sorted out within the next few weeks after Valve finishes reviewing it. Now you can take Rhythm Doctor to your friends house so they can watch you beat 4-2N with an S Rank. Or you can just stay home and play at your desk with a controller!
Achievements
The game now has Achievements! The icons were created by our artist Winston. You will receive achievements for things you already accomplished on your save file. After making sure your Rhythm Doctor game is up-to-date, it may take one or two tries of launching the game for all of the achievements to be detected. Not much else to say about that. Good luck, and enjoy!
Coming Soon
Accessibility Updates
We have more accessibility features coming soon to Rhythm Doctor! Although were a small team, its important to us to make the game as accessible to players as possible. One main focus for us, as a game based on music and audio cues, is working towards making the game more accessible for visually-impaired and blind players throughout Early Access development. Below is a short clip of a narration feature were working on. [previewyoutube=2ryNEnNFiIY;full][/previewyoutube] This feature allows the game to send messages to a few of the most commonly-used screen reader programs, which can then speak the text aloud. It will allow the player to traverse menus and listen to dialogue present on the screen. The player will control the speed of the narration using their screen reader configuration. This update will be the first step in a long and exciting process. Because of the magnitude of this effort, we will start by releasing an early version soon with some of the core features to make the game as playable as possible without needing to see the screen, and then we will be improving it over time by taking player feedback. Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game that focuses largely on audio cues and internal focus. Because of this, its our hope that in the future we can add enough options to make the game accessible to blind players. This update will be our start towards that, so we hope it will help you.
Videos
You might have noticed that we put up a new trailer! Take a look. [previewyoutube=cZrZ3vhsDPk;full][/previewyoutube] We also have a talk given by our Lead Programmer / UX Designer Giacomo, which he initially recorded for WePlay. Its all about how we designed the UI in Rhythm Doctor, and the decisions that were made for it to support the aesthetic of the game and the narrative of the game. Enjoy! [previewyoutube=jpzIVsbzk7I;full][/previewyoutube] Thanks for a year of support, thanks for playing, and well be back in the near future with updates on the accessibility features. Hey everyone!
We hope you've been having a good year. It has been an adventurous one for us: releasing Rhythm Doctor onto Early Access, updating our Level Editor and Steam Workshop, and getting the opportunity to collaborate with both Unbeatable and Muse Dash!
We're really thankful for your support. Your messages, reviews, streams, and tweets have shown us a lot of love for this strange little hospital we've created.
2021 Steam Awards: Best Soundtrack
If you'd like to do something small to support us, and you were a big fan of the music in Rhythm Doctor, we'd be really thankful if you nominated us for a 2021 Steam Award in the "Best Soundtrack" category! There's a lot of big heavy-hitter games out there this year, but we figured we'd give it a shot! You can submit your nomination on Rhythm Doctor's Store Page or using the button on this page. Voting ends today, so if you're interested, don't wait! After you vote, click here and imagine Paige and Ian giving you a heartfelt handshake. Today, wed like to announce the official opening of the Rhythm Doctor Steam Workshop!
Youve probably noticed that you can create your own custom Rhythm Doctor levels. Now, with the opening of the Steam Workshop, itll be easier than ever to create, share, and find community-made custom levels to play. As of today, theres already almost 200 levels you can find on the Workshop!
FOR PLAYERS
On the Main Menu in the game, select Custom Levels. Select Open Workshop to browse the Steam Workshop for new levels. Click the green Subscribe button on any levels youd like to play. Go back and select Library to view your library of custom levels. If your newly subscribed levels dont appear at first, select Reload to add the levels to your library. You can also add levels to your library through a direct .rdzip file. Select Import Levels and use a .rdzip file on your computer or a download files URL to add the level to your Library! Feel free to join our community Discord server to discuss custom levels and find new ones to play!
FOR LEVEL CREATORS
On the Main Menu, select Level Editor. Start with the Sounds timeline. Import a song file onto the timeline for the song youd like to use. Make sure you properly set the BPM (tempo) and Offset for the song. You can read this guide created by our community for tips on setting this up correctly. Proper BPM and Offset values are needed for making sure your gameplay syncs up with the music! Use the Rows timeline to add characters to the level, decide what type of heartbeat theyll have, and chart the notes on the timeline. Use the Actions timeline to add backgrounds, add special vfx, add dialogue, or move characters around. Use the Rooms timeline to split the screen between multiple rooms of patients. Use the Rows timeline to make sure each characters setting is set to the room youd like them to appear in. When youre finished charting and animating your level, make sure to add three Finish Level events at the end of the Actions timeline! That will allow the song to end and display the players grade. Press File > Export in the main dropdown menu to export your level. Youll be prompted to fill out Export Settings, some of which are required before you can export. When youre finished with the settings, press Export from the main dropdown menu again to send your level into the world! Select rdzip to create a file you can share with friends or on our Discord! Select Steam Workshop to upload to the Workshop for other Steam users to play.
Important Note
We ask that you please respect the musicians wishes regarding their songs before uploading your custom level to our Steam Workshop. In order to upload your level to the Rhythm Doctor Steam Workshop, you must use a Verified song. This means that the musician who created the song has specifically given you (or all Rhythm Doctor players) permission to use it in a Rhythm Doctor custom level. You can check for whose songs are Verified at this site or you can create a new submission of an artist who hasnt been listed yet in the Export Settings. You must comply with our User-Generated Content Rules and Steam Subscriber Agreement. Failure to act responsibly and comply with these rules will result in disadvantages, such as function restrictions of your Steam account. For more information, please read our full terms. This is all a very quick, basic introduction to creating custom levels. We recommend reading this guide written by community members Klyzx, WillFlame, and huantian. For more tutorials and advice on levelmaking, you can join our community Discord server! ----- Even before Rhythm Doctor arrived in Early Access, our community has been working with the level editor and pushing beyond the limits of what we imagined people would make. There are some really great levels out there, and really talented creators, so we highly recommend you browse the Workshop to find new ones you might like. If you enjoyed Story Mode, theres plenty of more levels out there, on a broad spectrum of different difficulties and music genres. Good luck treating your new patients!
In collaboration with Pero Pero Games, the Muse Dash x Rhythm Doctor crossover is here!
If youve completed Act 3, youll find a new set of levels in the Main Ward near the hospital entrance. Rin, Buro, and Marija from Muse Dash need your help, so treat them the best you can over the course of 3 new levels.

Ready to rock?
In collaboration with D-CELL GAMES, weve got a UNBEATABLE x Rhythm Doctor crossover!
UNBEATABLE is a rhythm-adventure where music is illegal, and you do crimes. Its coming to Steam, and you can learn more about it on their Kickstarter page! Were big fans, and really excited to get our hands on it.
To commemorate, weve teamed up to bring a new level to Rhythm Doctor. You can now play Worn Out Tapes, based on the track from UNBEATABLE. Youll find the level in the Main Ward, to the left of 1-1 Samurai Techno.
In addition...on a later date, you can look forward to playing a new level in UNBEATABLE [white label]. D-CELL GAMES will be adding Loner, an energetic punk rock re-interpretation of 1-2 Intimate from Rhythm Doctor. We've heard their version of our song and it absolutely blew us away, so you really need to check it out when the time comes. We can't wait. In the meantime, check out the [white label] demo to get a taste of other levels they've put out!
If youre into rhythm games like ours, definitely check out their Kickstarter campaign and follow the devs on Twitter.

Rhythm Doctor Linux [744.86 M]
Save lives with your spacebar!
Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game in a world where defibrillating patients' hearts in sync with their heartbeats has healing properties. Slam your spacebar in perfect time on the 7th beat, and they might just come out okay. But beware - every patient has unique illnesses based on complex music theory: polyrhythms, hemiolas, irregular time signatures...if you don't know what they mean, don't worry. Rhythm Doctor is designed to make you learn music and rhythm theory without even realising it!
- 20+ handmade levels, each with their own story.
- Every level introduces a different concept of rhythm theory in an accessible way
- A large cast of doctors and patients feature in an overarching, character-centric storyline
- Play the story solo or grab a friend for drop-in drop-out local multiplayer throughout the whole campaign!
- Robust level editor to make, share, and play community levels! Use your own music, place notes snapped to the beat, and use 50+ different visual effects and backgrounds
- Challenging "Night Shift" versions of each level for the brave
(Note: 2P mode only works locally. Online 2P via Remote Play is enabled for this game, but it does not work that well right now due to varying latency)
Rhythm Doctor features flashing lights and colors. Please use caution if you have experience with epilepsy or any of its symptoms.
