Hey everyone, we're thrilled to announce that Whisker Squadron: Survivor will leave Early Access with a HUGE update on February 21st! We also announced today that the game is coming to Playstation 5. We appreciate you all coming along for this journey for the last year and a half. Over the course of early access, we've added an entire campaign mode, more than a dozen new items, a branching map, shop NPCs, A "challenges" system, and more than a dozen new enemies. We've also refined and optimized the gameplay in countless ways with your feedback. Thank you! This 1.0 update will include a voiced cast of characters, numerous bug fixes and quality of life improvements, and a new endgame featuring one final epic boss fight. Hey friends, the team has been working super hard on a major new content update!
One of the most requested features for this series is boss fights.
We have some BIG plans for end stage bosses coming soon, but in the meantime, we decided to redesign the "Elite" enemies in the game and turn them into epic miniboss fights.
Here's how it works:
There are (currently) 4 possible elites that will spawn in zone 5. They are the only thing in that zone, and we've done our best to make it feel really cinematic.
There's even a mysterious "The Swarm" character speaking through them. What is it saying??
We'll be refining this system in the coming months and adding additional Elites.
Additionally, we've added a new secondary weapon called Precision Rocket Launcher.

Hey all, we decided to take this past month and focus on refining the game with a bunch of bug fixes and quality of life improvements!
We've been hard at work over here at Flippfly, preparing a major new update that includes a new way to play, new items, and a redesign of the ship stats system.
Your feedback has been essential in shaping the direction of the game, so please keep it coming!
This update introduces "Challenges", a new screen with short pass/fail challenges that will test your skills in various ways.
We've also begun a major redesign of the stats and items in the game. The two upgradable ships each have a unique attribute now, and we've added some new items, and redesigned the "stats" upgrades to be random items. We've heard your feedback loud and clear that you'd like to see more interesting options in the in-game level-up screen - this is just the start!
We've also made a myriad of improvements, including major improvements for the "Roll Deflector" item.

Hey all, first of all, we just want to say THANK YOU for an incredible launch. The team of 9 over here at Flippfly couldn't be more excited to be working on this game! We've been reading all of your reviews, your feedback surveys (hundreds of them!) discussion forum comments, Discord chats, and watching your videos and livestreams. We are seeing a few clear patterns in feedback: 1. You like what's here and you're looking forward to more content and variety in the game. 2. We've got some balance issues with weapons and items to work on. 3. We've got quite a few bugs and quality-of-life issues to work on too. Here's What's Next We are planning to release new builds every two weeks for now. This upcoming first patch (Dropping around Sep 13) will primarily deal with quality-of-life issues, bugs, and item balance. We're making the Pulse Laser pack more punch, balancing out the Gatling gun a bit, fixing all the achievement and Mod bugs, and making mods give more VP. We're also fixing about two dozen bugs, and making the color scheme in Nexus City a bit more readable and easy on the eyes. For the second update, our artist Jin and programmer/designer Dayne are in the home stretch on a new world. We're also working on "twitch plays" integration so Twitch viewers can pick upgrades, and even more quality-of-life updates. Beyond that, we're looking into ways to add more variety and surprise to the core game loop - exciting new items and choices that can change your run in fundamental ways. And of course, there will be more ships, pilots, and weapons! We're also looking into the possibility of mod support, and even investigating VO for characters. No promises, though! - Changed Laser Drone so it does a percentage of your primary weapon damage.

- Changes to Revive item for better readability.

- Fixed rendering issues on Macs with Apple Silicone.
- Fixed bug with incorrect default button assignments for menu navigation.
- Fixed some bugs with menu selection for controllers.

The Swarm won't know what hit them! We've added three new passive attacks that will give you an edge in your battle for survival:
- Adjusted stats - upgrades feel much more significant now. - Energy recharge now takes the same amount of time at every stat level. - Added option for aim assist for controllers (defaults to on). - Re-arranged enemy spawning by zone. - Adjusted XP values so you'll level up more frequently in a run. - Moved missile ammo capacity upgrade from per run to a perk.
