- added support for square cards. I personally like them the most. The cards themselves are 512x512, that's almost twice bigger than either a horizontal or vertical card (298x410). So, if you have high-quality photos, you will get them less shrunk in the game if you create a custom set with square frames in the editor
- some new card sets, backs and board element sets for horizontal and square cards - more will be coming in later updates
- in puzzles, there is now a button to quickly unlock many images, even if you don't see them because you disabled AI-generated content. This is intended for people who need all of the achievements but don't want to see any AI images or just don't want any puzzles at all
- checkbox in Advanced option to only randomize gfx when you start a new game, not restart the current one
Note: most of this content is AI-generated, so you will only see it in the game if you've allowed AI-generated content in Options->Graphics->Allow AI-generated content (allowed by default if you installed the game before June 2024).
- 41 NSFW card sets
- AI-generated content (backgrounds) moved from paid Wallpaper DLC to this new free NSFW pack DLC. This should now clearly separate them.
- added support for horizontal cards. These are intended for videos or for pictures that come in landscape orientation (photos of nature, cars or sex scenes where characters are lying or on all fours)
- UI tweaks for better responsiveness. You should now see progress dialogs in most cases when a lot of external files are being loaded or processed. Even if you put a thousand images in the custom backgrounds folder, it will be handled
- card set viewer ("magnifying glass" icon the top-left corner) now has zoom controls (similar to those in the cards editor)
- card set editor can now save current editing project as a *.cprj file, and then load the project from that file. Technically it's just a zip archive with all your source files + card transformations data
- card set editor can now import video or GIF card sets for editing. So e.g. if you don't like just 2-3 videos in an otherwise okay set, you can load the set and edit/replace only those. Note: image card sets cannot be imported like that because source image data is lost when a card atlas is generated. You can still ask the card set's author for the cprj project file (if they have saved the project)
- with horizontal cards, most solitaire variants use other board layouts. As I was designing those layouts, I tweaked some of the old ones for vertical cards. The purpose was to make the cards look as big as possible - since I suppose the sexy stuff on the cards is why this game exists in the first place :)
- added buttons to download soundtracks for the game. These mostly lead to Envato Elements pages where you can buy a subscription (from Envato), download previews or just play them online. I licensed them from Envato so I can't sell them here as soundtrack
- added "unhide all" button in card set selector and other dialogs. Hidden items are now also hidden in rosters and don't get added to randomization queues even if you don't set up the rosters. So, hiding an item should effectively remove it from the game
- added back gay and bi moans (selectable in Options -> Audio) which I removed in late 2023. For the gfx content, there will be a free Gay DLC coming soon
- Auld Lang Syne finally has the first winnable seed! Congrats to the person who won it :) Now it's only Tam O'Shanter remaining...
- DLC wallpaper pack will now show in the list of custom backgrounds
- custom card sets selector is now updated to similarly load DLC content which will be coming later
- Only the following subfolders of higher quality are shown: ImagesHD, ImagesSquare2048, ImagesLD/DigitalArt (AI-generated), ImagesLD/Hentai (AI), ImagesLD/Photorealistic (AI). If you need other images, you can manually copy them from the DLC folder to the custom backgrounds folder
- with 470 backgrounds added, you will see that screen filling up for some time
- you can hide the backgrounds you don't need with the "crossed eye" button
- you might wish to darken backgrounds - Options -> Advanced. Scroll down to the section that starts with "Use your own backgrounds" and toggle "Darken Images" checkbox. Set some value like 50% with the slider on the right
- replaced the icon with an SFW one since many players have been requesting it. Unfortunately Unity engine doesn't allow apps to swap icons in runtime. Someone suggested making separate builds for different icons but honestly I just don't want to introduce confusion, at least not for such a small thing
- added "allow AI-generated gfx" toggle. This will only apply to the content that comes by default, not to what you download or create
- added Scorpion solitaire
- added a list of hotkeys in advanced controls dialog (F1)
- 0 now a hotkey to open gfx presets
- in panic mode popups now have no portraits - this was the last thing that could betray you're playing an NSFW game
- minor fixes
- can now use custom minigame pictures in the slide show
- checkbox to stop playing sounds when app out of focus
- minor fixes
- Options-> Controls: option for autoplay (double-click) to do just 1 move, even if continued auto-play is possible
- advanced option to randomize whole gfx presets at game start. Other randomizers will still work and get applied after the preset was applied
- card set, bg roster editors: image/gif/video toggles will now just add all content of that type to the selection (previously it was also deselecting stuff of wrong type). So e.g. now if you have GIFs and videos, you can add all of them to randomization with just 2 clicks
- visual card set editor: added several frame sets without a rank/suit sign, in case you have scans of cards that already have such signs
- added option Gameplay->Always launch in panic mode
- you can now instantly unlock pictures by spending action points. The price is somewhat higher than what it would take to win manually
- GIF and video backgrounds are now used for randomization/shuffling interchangeably
- 10 more card frame sets in visual card editor (thanks to BandlyDrawnToon on Discord!), including those with vertical alignment of rank and sign symbols
- can now hide the top panel with a small button in the top-right corner or F11 key
- minor fixes
- top panel with text buttons swapped to smaller buttons with icons
- added button "next recommended solitaire variant" to encourage players to try out different variants. The algo tries to pick those you haven't won yet, with a high chance of winning, and also in the same family as the one you currently have open
- added button "randomize looks" (dice). It will include your custom card sets and other stuff as well. If you have specified randomization rosters in Advanced settings, these will be used (clear them with "Clear All" button if you want the "randomize looks" button to take just random stuff)
- in panic mode, music will halt and all moan sounds will get replaced with casual "twinkle twinkle little star" effects
- Spider: added error toast explaining the rule that you can't deal if some columns are empty
- for custom backgrounds, icons will be created after you open the dialog. Previously, if you'd add hundreds of images/videos/GIFs, it would just "hang" without refreshing the window, so Windows would eventually offer to kill the game. There still can be hiccups as thumbnails are made on slower computers. You don't have to wait for the thumbnails to get generated, just apply the backgrounds or use them in randomization
- slightly bigger default UI scale
- added "random solitaire variant" button in the solitaire list. This one just picks a random variant
- puzzles: replaced picture sets "sketches", "tits only", "pussies only" with 92 new "photorealistic" images (added these to the wallpaper DLC as well, inside ImagesLD subfolder)
- 4 new card sets in "photorealistic" style
- reshuffled moan sounds in "Female European" sfx theme to make it more arousing and less "aggressive". If you previously disabled moans because you found them too aggressive, you might want to give them another try now
- made all moans in "Female hentai" sfx theme louder
- added Ukrainian localization
- puzzles: simplified settings for most "sliding puzzles" (most are 3x3 now, and only the few in the end are 4x4, none are 5x5 anymore) and "proofreader" (9x9 max now, no more crazy 20x20 boards)
- better scrolling in picture selection dialog in puzzles: no need to scroll from the start every time anymore
- big ">" button now appears in the bottom-right corner once you solve a puzzle, use it to quickly proceed to the next puzzle
- updated chance-to-win for the sex-themed solitaire variants based on real players' stats (most apparently get won far less often than I expected, so they will give more score points now)
- wider GUI scale range - may be needed on Android or very big monitors
- better randomization for card sets and other gfx assets- won't repeat the same card sets until all in the roster have been used once
- minor fixes
- Card set editor: added audio volume slider for videos inside each card - useful if your source videos have very different volume levels. Also you can set it to zero (mute) if volume in the video is so loud that there is trembling/distortion in the sound
- Fixes
Added more solitaire variants (all sex-themed). The total number is now 190. You still only need 100 for the max achievement. Almost all sex-themed ones are quick and have a reasonable chance to win. So, if you're fine with the sex topics and aim at fast 100%-ing of the game, picking sex-themed ones is optimal. Update 2023.11.02 - shortened rules for most new solitaire variants.
- added save/load buttons in card set and other rosters. E.g. you may want to save 5 SFW card sets under one name (e.g. "sfw") and 7 NSFW card sets under another (e.g. "nsfw") and switch between them by loading saved selections
- 9 more solitaire variants (inc. Golf and Backbone)
- fixes
- removed gfx themes (which were rarely used and were overly complicated). Instead, added presets. You can now save your current card set, back, bg and board elements setup as a preset. Up to 9 presets can be bound to hotkeys from 1 to 9 for quick switching
- added "panic mode" button "!" at the top. Re-worked panic mode: it now just switches to the standard office look, you can't configure it. For custom sfw looks you now need to use presets
- removed sfw and gay content to Discord (<3% of players were using them). So now the game has only card sets with girls and also 2 standard Vegas card sets: the normal and a monochrome one. For the rest, please check Discord. Already over 600 card sets there and more get added every day. E.g. recently some YIFF ones were added, 2 animated
- added support for custom board element sets, removed gay ones to Discord
- you can now use custom moan sounds (check Advanced Options), moved gay ones to Discord
- can now use custom gameplay sfx sounds (Advanced Options) like card flip, place, reshuffle
- can now play custom music (Advanced Options)
Added 34 sex-themed solitaire variants. To see them, make sure to tick the checkbox "Sex-themed" above the list of solitaire variants. If you're fine with LGBT topics, you can also enable the LGBT-themed ones. The total number of games is now 154. You still only need 100 for the final Steam achievement. New games belong to the first half of families (from Klondike to Bisley). I plan to add at least 20 more games for the rest of the families. Just wanted to first see if players like these additions and if there is any feedback before proceeding with the rest. With these new variants I tried to "modernize" existing popular solitaire games. That is:
- fewer cards used in games (often <30) to have the game last no more than 10 minutes, often just 2-3 minutes; also to have fewer cards on the screen, allowing to show each at bigger scale
- chance to win 30%+
- higher focus on skill than on chance; and if the game is unwinnable then it should become apparent early
- removed 2 lesser used SFW card sets. Analytics show that the Internet is for porn :)
- memory usage fix in visual card set editor
- moves counter fix
- minor fixes
Rarely used and lower quality card sets, backs, backgrounds were removed from the game. Now the game will take 40% less space on your hard drive.
You can still download all content from our Discord server: https://discord.gg/YgzCQNbnzT.
EDIT 2023.10.07: size further reduced to 450MB.
NOTE: when you import backgrounds, make sure you check the Max zoom in checkbox in Advanced options:
For in-built backgrounds, the game applies "Max zoom in" to display them full-screen.
- you can now select several cards and apply the same transformations to them with 1 click
- button to sort cards by rank first
- faster processing of very big images (3k*5k pixels or bigger) when generating card sets. In general, it should never take more than 20 seconds to get a card set generated
- the app will now keep running when you switch focus. Music will keep playing in the background unless you turn off the option in audio settings
- significantly optimized loading of GIF animations in cards, they should not cause hiccups anymore. For older/slow computers, added options to shorten GIFs or reduce their frame rate if they still cause hiccups
- improvements to avoid hiccups of videos in cards after undo/redo or new game start
- Ctrl+Z now properly undoes the last turn, Ctrl+Y re-does like it normally works in Windows apps (was reverse)
- now "variations" also show the rules of the base game. E.g. Whitehead says it's a variation of Klondike and lists the differences from it. Klondike rules are now also shown in Whitehead, but in smaller font.
- "winnable only" penalty reduced from 75% to 50%
- can now disable moans in puzzles
- fixes
- more buttons in the card editor to speed up editing. New mouse controls: Shift+drag/scroll to move/zoom the whole table of cards. Ctrl+drag to swap images/GIFs/videos between cards or the list of unused
- in "winnable only" mode, Tam O'Shanter and Auld Lang Syne now start from meaningful randomized positions
- toasts with error messages are now non-blocking
- "winnable only" mode: play with starting set-ups that are guaranteed to be winnable. The 2 for which no winnable starts are yet known (Tam O'Shanter, Auld Lang Syne) just use an unshuffled deck for now :)
- "iron man" mode: no undo/restart/hints
- adjusted "chance to win" of solitaire variants based on actual statistics from the last few weeks, re-sorted some variants inside families to keep the easiest at the top
- re-sorted solitaire variants in the list to have those with high chance-to-win come first and also have them in the order of rules referencing each other
- option to randomly switch image backgrounds, with a transition effect
- optional tooltips for card stacks (for the talon they show the number of remaining cards and re-deals)
- added a search field in card set, back and background selectors in case you already made a lot yourself or downloaded form Discord
- visual card set editor: more buttons including zoom, set bg color, undo
- can now play puzzles with any unlocked pictures or your own pictures, with arbitrary non-square tiling (Custom minigame button)
- Kingdom <- chance to win should be not too low after the fix a couple weeks ago
- Alhambra <- I haven't won it myself but maybe the winning tactic is NOT to put cards from reserve stacks to the waste pile too often. This game is tricky
- Auld Lang Syne <- chance to win is very very low. Like, only if you want to meditate on this
- Tam O'Shanter <- even lower chance to win :)
- added more buttons in the visual card set editor: rotate image/GIF/video by 90 degrees and other
- can now play the video/GIF inside the edited card to better adjust cropping in case the video's focus area changes across the video's duration
- display of size of videos/GIF that go into cards to better keep track of it in case you're planning to upload to Discord or just want to use less space
- removed the legacy card editors because the visual one is so much better. Please let me know in the comments if you still need them and I can put them back as an option
- minor fixes
- one-click moves option in Options->Controls: clicking on a card will instantly perform the best move with it
- a small hint action panel now gets displayed at the top: you can act on a shown hint, block a hint if it seems misguided or reset the list of blocked hints (keys A, B, C)
- fixes
- cards can now show your videos or animated GIFs;
- new visual card set editor: assign specific images, GIFs or videos to cards. Tweak shift, scale, rotation, or flipping;
- to keep it tidy, you can now rename or delete custom card sets, card backs and backgrounds from inside the game;
- added "Advanced" page in options that contains the more tech-savvy stuff like card set editors and various tweaks how videos or GIFs are shown;
- Tab key now cycles through hints (like H);
- minor fixes and UI improvements.
Added in-game analytics. The main purpose of this is to eventually add "winnable setups only" option which many players have been asking for. Mathematically it's very difficult (maybe even impossible) to calculate "winnability" of a given solitaire variant, especially if there are 120 of them with different rules. So, instead, the game will now use analytics to note which initial setups have led to won games by real players. After enough data is accumulated, in a later update I'll put it into the game, and you'll be able to play with only the winnable (and not random) setups if you wish so. Of course you can opt out, and no data will be gathered from your machine. Still, if even a small share of players are okay with this, eventually the game will have a working "winnable only" option. Thanks!
- you can now specify custom videos to play fullscreen after victory;
- when you open UI dialogs, the game now pauses;
- improved panic mode logic: second Space press will get you back to the theme you had before; if you're already in "standard" theme, Space will just reset to the default Vegas card set
- minor fixes
- you can now use videos and animated GIFs as backgrounds;
- options to darken backgrounds to make them less distracting;
- added "standard" skin which will make the game look like a normal solitaire app. Press Space key to quickly switch to it in emergency
- in minigames, all actions now happen on mouse down instead of on click, for faster play
- custom card set atlases can now be of any size, though proper size is still best to avoid skewing
- bigger card set selection dialog, with preview of all 52 cards
- fixes
- further improved hints. Now the first shown hint is almost always optimal. Still, hints won't be able to prioritize complex multi-turn solutions in harder games like Fan, Forty Thieves or Yukon
- hints for less useful moves are now shown later than the hint to deal/redeal in the hints cycle
- can now define custom paths when creating card sets, backs, backgrounds
- added option to disable orgasm moans at victory. To play this game as SFW, just disable all moans in audio settings. Also in Setting->Graphics, to the question "Who do you like?" pick the reply "SFW: No nudity please!"
- fixes
- fixes for rare errors with auto-hints
- polished the UI a bit, added search field in the list of solitaire variants
- some improvements with customs cards sets / backs / backgrounds
- you can now put any png/jpg images in a special folder to use them as backgrounds
- can now generate card backs in a similar way to card faces
- can randomize backgrounds and card backs, and define rosters like with card faces
- fixes
- added option "Show hints constantly". Now A key performs the highlighted action, B blocks the hint, C clears the list of blocked hints. H cycles through available hints. Just press A and occasionally B or H to play much faster
- more tooltips, with keyboard shortcuts
- when option "Random card set is picked at every game start" is enabled, you can now customize the roster, and also use your custom card sets
- now properly showing icons for your custom card sets
- you can now get card sets made by other players and upload your own on wittyminx Discord server. Check Discord's content rules before uploading
- technical overhaul to better load the increased amounts of content. If you experience issues, please report in Discussions or on Discord
- +30 backgrounds, about 100 in total now
- minor fixes
- added about 20 SFW card sets (fantasy, anime characters, animals). In Options->Graphics see "Who do you like?" and instead of "I like naked women" select "SFW: no nudity please!"
- minor fixes
- can now select moan voice (European / hentai) in Audio settings. The European one is now default since it has more varied moans
- gay/for women options are now invisible by default. You can enable them in Options->Graphics
- a few more variants for stack placeholders
- added a custom card set editor: just copy 52 image files in the special folder and press "Generate!"
- added a "favorites" section for your fav solitaire variants
Update 2023.01.07:
- added more card sets (50 in total now). These include 2 with male/gay characters as some players requested
- replaced some puzzle pictures with ones of higher quality. 461 pictures can now be unlocked in puzzles. DLC updated accordingly
- added option "Pick random card set at game start" on the graphics settings tab
- keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+N to start new game, Ctrl+R to restart, <- or Ctrl/Cmd+Y to undo turn, -> or Ctrl/Cmd+Z to redo turn, H to show hint
- removed moans when picking card sets, bgs etc. If "moans for UI actions" is enabled, it will only play for popups and other rare events
Update 2023.06.24:
- more card backs (76 now)
- more pictures in puzzles (402 now)
- 3 more card sets
Update 2023.06.22:
- added more backgrounds
- added more card sets due to popular request
Dear players, Hentai Solitaire is in "coming soon" stage since today. It should be available on Steam early in July. Wishlist now to get a notification! It's similar to NSFW Solitaire but with far more card sets (30+) and higher quality, more detailed hentai graphics. Also with double the amount of music tracks and backgrounds. Most card sets are thematic: "nurse", "maid", "uniforms" and other to cover the popular porn kinks. Our own favs are "student" and "gamer girl" :) It will be a paid game, so the achievements there will count to your total stats. Also, after sales pass a certain threshold, we will be allowed to add trading cards. The things that NSFW Solitaire couldn't have because it's free. Thank you for your interest! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2476750/Hentai_Solitaire/
- added confirmation pop-ups for new game, game restart (to avoid accidental restarts on Steam Deck)
- added "Continue" button in "You may be stuck" pop-up when you get the same position 3 times
Dear players, the game now has these languages apart from English:
- Japanese
- Chinese (Simplified, Traditional)
- Korean
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Russian
- Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal)
- Polish
- Czech
- Serbian
- Croatian
Some players reported that they don't see the victory popup dialog after winning a game. We aren't sure but it seems that for some players this happens occasionally and for some all the time (?) Also, that this issue is rare - otherwise there would be more reports. In the hundreds of tests and won games while testing solitaire variant implementations, we've never experienced this. Either on Windows or on Mac. So, can't reproduce the issue. Just looking at the code, it's also unclear what it could be. Our guess it's something specific to your machine, regional settings, or even Steam. This is the case where one has to look at the game's log. When you experience this issue again, right after you win and don't see the victory popup, please: 1. close the game 2. don't restart it (or the log will get overwritten) 3. on Windows, go to c:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\LocalLow\WittyMinx\NSFWSolitaire\ 4. email the file Player.log which you find there to wittyminx@protonmail.com on Mac the file is located at: ~/Library/Logs/WittyMinx/NSFWSolitaire/Player.log on Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/WittyMinx/NSFWSolitaire/Player.log We will look into this as soon as we get your emails. If the logs are enough to fix this issue, we will upload an update asap. Otherwise, we will let you know in an edit to this announcement. Thank you for your help!
Update 2023.04.07: - now error toast messages are shown for invalid moves with an explanation why the move is impossible (you can turn this off in options) - the game now detects when there are no moves available and shows a "game over" popup. Also when the same position on the table repeats for the 3rd time - more backgrounds, more music (you can now select which tracks to include in the shuffle) - more solitaire types (101 now)
Version 1.3 update:
- re-tested and fixed all solitaire variants. Spider works properly, with cards removed into foundations only after you got a full King-to-Ace run
- added a few more (incl. Carpet, Colorado, Sir Tommy)
- all solitaire variants now have proper rules in EN, RU
- auto save-on-exit (uses Steam cloud, so you can continue an interrupted game on another device)
- further improved hints
- smoother stack dragging
Update 2023.03.24: - fixed all issues in solitaire variants which you so far reported in the discussions and reviews. Now the list of solitaires shows in white those which should definitely work (just recently re-tested) and in gray those that may still have issues. Will fix more in a later update - for all solitaires with names in white, there are now proper rules available ("?" button), In EN and in RU - can select card backs - foundations, tableaus and other spots now have different placeholders, you can select their style in gfx options - gfx options for board layout, card animations on/off (off is better if you aim at time-related achievements), animation speed - audio options moans on/off, better sfx for card moves - card movement should now be smoother - better hints (some useless hints won't be shown), hints now highlight involved cards and locations - other minor fixes (including those reported)
Dear players, thank you for the many reviews. We've tried to address many of the issues in this update. Changes/fixes: - 5 achievements added - UI has been redesigned. All functionality is still there, just needs fewer screens and clicks - press "?" in the top-right corner to see the rules of the current solitaire - press the button next to it to open the list of solitaire games. They are grouped by type - can now toggle window mode and set resolution in fullscreen mode (Unity engine doesn't really support multiple monitors, so just use window mode) - can set GUI scale just in case the default one is not optimal for your device - can change volume of music/sfx - for each solitaire type, your best moves count and time are recorded now - more backgrounds - Russian localization added (rules of solitaires are still in English because the terminology is not really understandable to someone who doesn't already know it in English - though if you disagree and know how to translate it in an understandable way, just reach out to us via support email) Thank you for playing! Mac users: during out test of Mac version update, we encountered error 4294956486. It's some glitch with Steam, just uninstall the game from Steam's library and then install it again, and it should be fine.
Dear players, thank you for your suggestion to publish artwork used in NSFW Solitaire as separately downloadable content. We followed your advice and added the DLC now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2344840 Enjoy!
