Changes
- Now fur skin slows down speed in water.
- Moved the light direction a bit in close zoom.
- Fixed bug causing water not to render some polygons.
- Fixed flash showing of plants inside the star.
- Fixed wrong pricing when creating lifeforms.
- Fixed showing game menu in walking mode.
- Fixed minimap camera position calculations in poles.
I know it's been a while, I'm sorry!
But it's for a good reason... a new rendering system!
What that means? Well... I added a new camera to the game that allow players to walk and explore planet's surface!
Because of this, I needed to rebuild the whole rendering system of the game, and also redo many of the assets, because initially were designed for a top-down view but now you can watch them from any angle.
Also, I fully implement the vegetation system including allowing the players to evolve them and generate procedural plants and trees.
Along with this demo, there are many other changes and improvements, but I will summary them in the following release note.
I hope you enjoy this new version of the demo!
I promise that the next version will be released sooner!

Imagine a world where you have the ability to combine and stack these artifacts, creating a symphony of powerful effects that can elevate your planetary experience to new heights. Today, we're diving into the fascinating universe of planetary artifacts, starting with the most fundamental one.
Get planet energy
Category: Earth The purpose of this Artifact is to serve as a planetary resource extractor, gathering energy to power a variety of tools and artifacts within our arsenal. [previewyoutube=1ASxPqT51hg;full][/previewyoutube]
Change surface albedo
Category: Earth This artifact has the capability to adjust the global surface albedo of the planet, either increasing or decreasing temperatures to make the climate hotter or cooler. [previewyoutube=oO41bbPXkwU;full][/previewyoutube]
Change core heat
Category: Fire Adjusting the global core heat of the planet, whether increasing or decreasing, directly impacts the activity of volcanoes. [previewyoutube=4oTHfP7h7S8;full][/previewyoutube]
Change cloud albedo
Category: Air Much like the surface albedo, this artifact has the capacity to influence global planet temperatures, either making them hotter or cooler. [previewyoutube=qfnLusfFbGw;full][/previewyoutube]
Change temperature
Category: Air Employing this artifact alters the temperature of the designated area. Enhance the impact by stacking multiple identical artifacts in the same region to amplify the effect. [previewyoutube=6vYY1BzV8nQ;full][/previewyoutube]

In Planetary Life you will be able to shape a planet in the purest Sandbox Simulation style, playing with its mountains, seas and even its climate, to create the perfect habitat to harbor life.
PLANETS
Control a planet with the multiple tools available. Let the tectonic plates shape the mountains and seas, modify the climate, the heat of the nucleus, the volcanic activity, the gases of the atmosphere, etc... until shaping the home of your creatures.
CREATURES AND EVOLUTION
Add creatures and evolve them from simple organisms to intelligent beings. Design and expand them looking for the balance of a perfect ecosystem.
Help them or let them fight for survival on their own.
GEOSPHERE AND ATMOSPHERE
Change core heat and volcanic activity to shape your planet terrain through volcanoes.
Manipulate rainfalls, cloud and surface albedo to change the climate.
ECOSYSTEMS
Build ecosystems. Maintain the balance between fauna and flora. Do not let them break the harmony and avoid the extinction of species.
CIVILIZATIONS
When your creatures reach sufficient intelligence they will organize themselves into tribes and later flourish into civilizations. Manage and help them in the battle for technology to conquer space.- OS: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
