Dear Orbital Gear Community, After a decade of living the indie dev life, we have decided to close down Night Node. In order to preserve Orbital Gear it will become free to play. The game will no longer be supported and the servers might get shut down at some point. However, even if the servers are down the single player mode, Time Trial, should still be playable. The pricing is planned to change on December 21 at 06:00 PM UTC. Hi, We have gathered information, read reviews and listened to the community's wishes. Therefor we have decided that we will in upcoming patches add, in the following order: Target Practice (Singleplayer Experience) Dedicated Servers Host Migration (Servers won't die when the host leaves) Our ETA on Target Practice would as of now be live by the end of the month (August). We will simultaneously work on Dedicated Servers and Host Migration, however as Target Practice is of higher priority we can currently give no ETA on these two. Orbital Gear has classic deathmatch as the basis for multiplayer pandemonium but it also have a special game mode called Orbital Warfare, a mode where you battle the opposing team with the goal to destroy the opponents base. Victory is ensured either with your mechs weapons or by charging your doomsday weapon with energy cores, collected from fallen enemies.
