Create stars, build constellations and expand throughout the space void in this scifi-themed idle game. 'Cause yeah: in the purest clicker tradition, Light 'Em is all about gathering star energy... to keep on making more!
Unlock new star types and features or just watch your stellar empire thrive
Discover the real 80+ constellations or invent your very own
Unlock exclusive features via the skill tree, like the Galactic Market or the Space Casino!
And reboot the whole universe to continue your journey...
So - ready to dive in, astronomer?
Discover real-life constellations...
Ever wanted to learn the shapes of the night sky? With Light 'Em, you'll get to explore and learn the 80+ official constellations at your own pace - while learning the most common stories behind each one!
All the constellations you've discovered will be stored in your Codex - so: can you get them all?
... or make up your own!
Light 'Em will also allow you to draw your very own constellations! If your current star group exceeds some (upgradable) thresholds but doesn't match the shape of a real constellation, then it will auto-validate with an arbitrary name. But don't worry: you can also rename it to your liking :)
Boost your astronomer skills
Feeling stuck, and unsure how to find new constellations or get more stellar energy? Don't forget that rebooting gives you access to the skill tree, where you can buy new talents to progress further and faster...
Heya all! Thanks to everyone\'s continuing help and feedback, I\'ve fixed a few more bugs, and added some features, in Light \'Em these past few days :)
Features
Isolated stars: I added a rule to prevent constellations from getting validated if they contain an isolated star (i.e. a star with no links at all). You\'ll get a warning, and you\'ll be blocked from validating until every star in your constellation has at least 1 link.
[/*]Constellation blueprint limits: When completing a constellation blueprint, you\'ll now have a hard-limit on the number of links you can create. If you try to abuse the system by over-adding links, the game will block you and give you a warning that you\'re exceeding the expected number of links.
[/*]Multi-prestige: If you\'ve over-accumulated enough skill points to reboot multiple times in one go, you won\'t need to go through reboot multiple times anymore. Now:
[list]You\'ll get a little indicator next to your reboot button to tell you the number of reboots you\'ll do.
[/*]If you do more than 1 reboot in one go and you\'ve already unlocked Astral Pacts in your game, you\'ll get \"bonus rerolls\" to reroll the bonuses for a given run :)\nNote: These rerolls stack up, and they\'re saved with the rest of your game data (if you\'ve saved your game with a version of Light \'Em that is v0.4.3 or more).
[/*]
Refactors
Constellation thresholds-related skills: I have slightly increased the values granted by the \"Celestial Expansion\" and \"Astral Bridges\" skills (that increase the number of stars and link length threshold for constellation auto-validation). Hopefully, they should support bigger constellations now!\nNote: But rebalancing is always difficult, so feel free to tell me what you think, if it works, etc :)
[/*]
Fixes
Misc:
[olist]When you\'re renaming a custom constellation, you won\'t get a contextual menu if you right-click on the text input anymore!
[/*]I improved the formatting of large numbers to use mantissas as simple as possible. This should avoid getting things like \"10.0M\", and intead give \"10M\".
[/*][/olist][/*]
Heya all! Thanks to everyone\'s continuing help and feedback, I\'ve fixed a few more bugs in Light \'Em these past few days :)
Refactors
Telescope: The price increase of the telescope has been severely softened - i.e. the cost will grow way more slowly, and you\'ll be able to use the telescope more times before it becomes really expensive.\nNote: The behaviour of this refactor will be weird for already saved games (since, sadly, the price of using the telescope is saved in the game\'s file, so it will be the cost from before this update)!
[/*]
Fixes
Market & Casino: Both those special features have been fixed to scale with the current autoprod/game state.\n\n1. Instead of giving fixed (way too low!) rewards, the casino will now offer to bet (and consequently gain) money or skill points relative to your current autoproduction and skill points amount.\n2. The Market should now properly compute the up/down derivation of your initially invested value :)
[/*]Misc: When using the telescope, the constellation blueprint should directly stick to your cursor instead of spawning in the top-left corner of the screen.
[/*]
Misc
I\'ve slightly re-adjusted some star production growths... still rebalancing the best I can! ^^
[/*]You can now rotate constellation blueprints (given by the telescope) clockwise, too, if you\'re using a mouse!

Heya all! Thanks to everyone\'s continuing help and feedback, I\'ve fixed a few more bugs in Light \'Em these past few days :)\n\nFixes\n
- \n
- Star upgrades: Fixed the sudden \"downgrade\" on Pulsars when reaching level 7 + Rebalanced the star powers to get a better evolution curve.\n
- Reboot & Market reset: Added a reset of any invested funds in the Galactic Market upon reboot - along with a confirm panel to make sure you don\'t forget about them :)\n
- Blueprints: Now, if you\'ve placed a blueprint but put stars completely outside the indicated spots, the blueprint will be removed and refunded.\n
- Load optimisation: Loading levels (in particular large ones) should be faster :)\n
- Misc: Other small fixes in UI (especially for French version)\n
Heya all! Thanks to everyone\'s continuing feedback, I\'ve fixed/improved yet a few things in Light \'Em this week \n\nFeatures:\n
- \n
- When you use the telescope, you can now use the mouse scroll or
to rotate it. This can be useful if you need the blueprint to fit in the middle of your existing constellations!\n - Then, once you\'ve placed a constellation blueprint in your sky, you\'ll be able to zoom in and out on it (again using the mouse scroll or
) to better see the links it contains, in case some spots are too close to each other to be readable. Hopefully, this will make it easier to use the telescope and progress in your codex \n - There is an option in the game\'s settings to enable or disable the sky erase on reboot. It will be disabled by default, meaning you\'ll initially keep all constellations and stars when you reboot, but you can choose to toggle it on to start fresh with a new canvas each time.\n
\n\nFixes:\n- \n
- Constellation reward (ongoing): I\'ve started to improve the way the constellations\' value is computed to be more rewarding. (But I still need to decide on some rules here and there, so it might evolve a bit more in the future.)\n
- Settings panel layout: Improved the layout/spacing to better accommodate the growing number of inputs.\n
- Market computation: When you transfer stocks into the market and retrieve it back instantly, you\'ll now get the exact sum you transferred in.\n
Heya all!\nThanks to some cool feedback on Light \'Em since I\'ve published it this morning, I\'ve managed to do a few fixes and improve some stuff.\n\nThe biggest refactor is that now, you DON\'T LOSE your constellations upon reboot! They\'ll stay in your sky and you\'ll get to keep working on and around them in your next run :)\n\nI\'ve also tried to rebalance a bit the reboot thresholds but since this re-changes things, they might very well some new adjustements required... I\'ll try my best to work on that, but of course if you\'ve got some new feedback to give me, I\'m all ears :)\n\nThank you again to all of you for supporting this project and helping me make it better!
