Is it mushroom season already? With the evil Shrooms popping up all over the place once again, we have prepared a new feature to ease your fightTrinket Forge, as well as a few other things. Lets dive in!
Are you tired of carrying around all your Trinkets? With the new MCE Trinket Forge, you can merge and upgrade your Plain trinkets, to pack more power into your loadout. You can combine the best of two different Trinkets into one or boost up a single Trinkets stats. For extra fun, you can switch up your Trinkets shapes, colors and names.

Ho-ho-howdy, everyone! Winter holidays are almost here, and it means people getting together. And, in the Shroom world, you don’t need to be close to get together anymore, as we’ve just launched Online Co-op mode!
Here's our co-op teaser video:
http://youtu.be/fW7Nq1sRTN8
In addition to that we’ve also fixed some bugs, made some balance adjustments and (here comes the dessert!) added some special Holiday visuals. Winter Wonderland is in Pratumea (or, at least, some of its parts), enjoy!
You can find more details about the update in our devblog. The full MCE changelog can be found in the dedicated forum thread.
Enjoy the update and Happy Holidays!
MCE Version 0.95.0 - December 20th, 2016
- Features:
- Online Co-Op
- Starting Online Co-op
- You can start the Online Co-op mode in Main Menu by pressing on the button in the top left corner of the screen and selecting “Online Co-op”
- You can play in Public mode, where the game will find another player for you by random, or use Friends mode to play with your Steam friends
- Selecting the region closest to yours for minimal possible lag. In Public mode you can only join people in the same region. In Friends mode, the region is decided by whoever hosts the game.
- Players can chat to each other with the TAB key both in menus and in-game
- You can view other players’ equipment from the Equipment Menu
- Starting Online Co-op
- Host Player
- In Online mode, one player will act as a host. In Public matchmaking it will usually be the player who started searching first.
- In case players have same Spells and Trinkets equipped when joining in Online Co-op, host’s equipment will take priority over the other player.
- Only the host can change the level, but both players have to agree to play it by pressing Ready.
- Other player can suggest a level to the host by pressing on it in the Level Select menu.
- Host cannot select a level that hasn't been unlocked by the other player.
- Accomplishments
- When in Accomplishment menu, clicking on Accomplishments you have completed lets the other player know of your greatness.
- Clicking on Accomplishments you haven't completed lets the other player know that you'd like to attempt completing them.
- In Online Co-op, Accomplishments progress differently compared to Local Co-Op.
- Most Accomplishments are counted individually for each player
- For example: When you defeat an enemy with LV1 Fireball, only you will progress towards the 'We BURN!' Accomplishment
- Some Accomplishments still require cooperation from both players, for example, beating a level with Fire spells only requires that BOTH players only equip Fire pells.
- Loot in Online Co-op
- Both players have their own private loot dropped on the ground, not visible for the other player. Health Extracts are the only exception
- Collected Spores and Trinkets are not shared!
- Enemies defeated by both players can drop Spores and Trinkets.
- Online Co-Op
- Updated several dictionary entries
- Adjusted all boss Spore drops
- Lowered Frozen Lagoon's difficulty a little bit
- Lowered some spell cooldowns & damages
- Some slight Trinket balancing
- Special Holiday visuals added to the game
- Every stacked pick-up now counts towards the Hoarder Accomplishment

Hello, prospective mushroom crushers! Mushroom Crusher Extreme has finally landed on Steam Early Access. We hope you'll have fun with the game, but first and foremost, stick around and send us feedback to help us develop it further.
Our plan is to try to put out bi-weekly (or so) updates throughout our Early Access Adventure, each containing a new feature and some bug fixes. We will usually post changelogs and details in these announcements, so make sure to follow MCE to get the latest news.
The biggest upcoming feature will most likely be the online/offline multiplayer mode, for which we will need as many testers as possible. As an added incentive, the Early Access price is also less than the eventual full version price, which is yet undetermined.
One of the best ways to reach us with your feedback, is posting on the MCE Steam forums. Lots of other players can then weigh in on the issue also, which is even better.
