Stardrift Nomads Patch 1.3.0

Here is the Patch Notes for 1.3.0. This patch is now LIVE This patch is mainly adjusting the difficulty of the game base off of player feed back as well as a few tweaks to the back end parts of the game. Gameplay -Towers have been reduced in price across the board. -Towers are also cheeper to upgrade/repair too! Get building those towers now! -Equipment upgrades have been reduced. Players can now upgrade their gear much quicker. -[Mechanic] Mega Tower Skill has had its cooldown reduce greatly. -[Scavanger] Mega Laser Skill deals slightly less damage but has a greater turn speed. Campaign -The first half of the campaign will now have slightly less enemies. -The difficulty curve for the game should be more gradual as you progress within the campaign. Hey everyone! Today we updated the game with some new features and our designer Ryan is on his way to PAX AUS to run a booth. He will be handing out some PAX exclusive skin codes for all 3 ships, so make sure to stop by the booth and pick up a code! Version 1.2 Patch Notes Added Mutators! There is a new menu for survival and stockpile game modes with options to change the game and how much XP you get along with it. New Asteroids! Watch out for metalic asteroids! New Random Events! Stardrift Nomads Patch 1.1.0 Content Update!

Here is the patch notes for 1.1.0 This patch is now LIVE! This patch introduces a ton of new content for the game! New Mode: Stockpile! -Players will defend against an endless assault of pirates and asteroids while the colony builds pylons. Players will need to build up enough energy to escape the pirates before they are overrun! -Stockpile mode will adjust difficulty depending on the party size! -Pirates will build their own towers on any destroyed pylon they find to keep the player out! -The amount of pylons the colony produces depends on the amount of players! -Wave timers are no more in this mode! Pirates and asteroids will come at you non stop so gather that energy fast before they overwhelm you! New Enemies: Mini Bosses - Every type of ship will now have a chance to spawn a mini boss version of itself. - Mini bosses will be equip with different abilities from a barrage of homing missile, reflective shields or, teleporting! - Mini bosses will have unique looking ships that are much bigger then the average ship! New Boss: The Behemoth - The Behemoth is a massive ship that will slowly fly towards the colony and will slam into it if not destroyed in time! - The Behemoth comes in 5 stages! After he loses a certain percent of his health, he'll drop some of his armor to gain a new ability and more speed! Gameplay - Mechanic's Reach skill will no longer leave targets permanently stun - Time Warp cooldown slightly increased - EXP rewards for certain enemy kills have been rebalanced Campaign: - Text messages will now pop up at the end of the wave so players aren't fighting and reading at the same time [Community Request] - Starting levels will now have slightly less enemies spawning in. Update incoming!

Hello everyone, We are currently working on an update which will be released very soon, so we wanted to take a minute and share some of the things that we've been working on since release. The update will focus on adding variability to our wave system and adding new modes of play.
Each pirate type will now include a miniboss tier for increased destructive power. Each miniboss is essentially a more deadly version of the base class with increased health, more damaging weapons, improved AI, and even special abilities that will allow them to wreak havoc upon your base.

We are also adding a new game mode which focuses on capturing points outside the base and building holding them to produce energy for the colony.
Every pylon you hold increases your energy production and hastens your victory over the pirates, but they will be fighting hard to take the pylons from you so be ready! For anyone who is collecting skins or selling them on the marketplace we will be releasing a new crate with thirteen new paintjobs for you to find!
And finally we are pleased to introduce you to the Behemoth, the newest addition to our cast of deadly bosses.

Hey Everyone, After watching reviews and listening to the community, we are making the decision to lower the price of the game to $9.99 After working on the game for years, we all felt that there was tons of content in the game and priced it at what we felt that we would pay for it, but we are biased, and we lost view of the current market on price for content. After doing a lot of research on current indie game steam prices we decided to price the game at $9.99 We all feel this more accurately represents the amount of content in the game and variation in gameplay. We have free updates planned to add more game modes in the future, but we want our price to reflect what is currently in the game. I hope this price will allow more people to enjoy the game. Here is the patch notes for 1.0.4 This patch is now LIVE! This patch we focus on fixing up a few things as well as helping new players learn the game a bit more easier. We are also setting the ground work for the new content update coming soon! More info on this as we get closer. Campaign: -Pirate Bosses now have intro portraits -Difficulty reduced slightly on the first few levels of campaign. Gameplay: -Lightspeed Duration has been reduce -Lightspeed Cooldown has been increased -Lightning Tower now charges faster and deals more damage at max charge -Caltraps speed reduction has been slightly reduced. -Pirate Raider has had a damage reduction -Pirate Raider now grants more then 1 EXP per kill -Movement Seal now confuses enemies 1 second longer per upgrade. The Future of Stardrift Nomads

Hello Everyone! So far the release has been really exciting, to everyone who has played the game and given us feedback so far, thank you so much. We’ve really enjoyed watching some Twitch streams and Let’s Plays featuring the game, big shoutout to MemoryLeakDeath, Space Game Junkie, and OMGchad for their videos. Watching people play the game for the first time is always an eye-opening experience. In the recent patches we’ve implemented a few features that we thought were needed based on feedback from our players, and we will continue to do so. So what’s next for Stardrift? We have big plans for the game now that it has been released, and number one on the list is expanding our content. We have a number of features and content ideas on our development wishlist, which didn’t make it into the release version of the game, and we finally have the chance to work on them. Our plan for Stardrift Nomads is to treat it kind of like a Season Pass, we will continually release updates and patches for the game to make it better and better. The first content update is slated to release in early Summer so keep your eyes open for more info and teasers! We can’t stress enough how important your feedback is to us, if you have suggestions or critiques we’d love to hear them. Building a great game means listening to what your players want and working hard to give it to them. Here is the patch notes for 1.0.2 This patch is now LIVE! This patch was focus on fixing the steam inventory issues we had as well as adding a few Quality of Life changes. Campaign: -Tweak the music theme for bosses ending properly. Gameplay: -Controller users will now have a cross hair similar to the mouse to help with aiming. [Community Request] -Loadout Screen will now properly display the abilities in the loadout. Beta Patch Notes 0.4.3

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.4.3 This patch is now LIVE! Been a busy week. New patches have been flying out the door in preparation for launch. Here is a list of all the things that have changed! Campaign: -Bosses now all have voice intro for when they appear. -Scrap Asteroid will now stop when the game is paused in single player [Community Bug] Gameplay: -Patient (Passive) Now activates after 1 second when you stop moving rather then 5 seconds. -Mothership (Boss) Now has a new weapon and stronger shields. Careful flying in front of it now :) -Rocketeers now shoot actual rockets! -Updated the balance of multiplayer. Now players can expect more enemies then before when playing with others. The more players you have, the bigger the change. -Bigger asteroids will now spawn a bit sooner then before in survival. -Clamp should now work properly when using it as a client in multiplayer. Beta Patch Notes 0.3.8

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.8 This patch is now LIVE! This patch we are finishing up the last art pieces and getting ready for launch! Campaign: -Objectives have been rebalance for more of a challenge. -The Star Map for Campaign level select has been added. - Updated level descriptions for each level - Levels have been LOCKED. You now must complete the levels in sequence from 1-15 Gameplay: -Weapon: Shotgun- Now fires 5 bullets with each upgrade increasing the bullet count by 1. -Weapon: Machine Gun- Now alternates between barrels as it shoots. Beta Patch Notes 0.3.7

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.7 This patch is now LIVE! This patch we focus on multiplayer issues. Campaign: -The Pirate Colony boss will now appear on the radar. Gameplay: -Cargo Seal (Active) Deals more damage per scrap piece in the ship's cargo. -Cargo Seal (Active) Now shoots out scrap pieces rather then an asteroid. -Sunder will only push the targets half as far. -Having equipment that reduces the cost to towers equip will no longer instantly repair. -Mass Repair will now fully heal all allies and towers in the game and grant a shield to players. -Lightspeed ability now has better collision detection. Graphics: -Updated the graphics on the colony ship Misc: -Party host will now have to wait for everyone to select ready before starting a game -The Party UI now only appears when there is actually a party. -Reach ability will no longer spawn another mechanic ship in the background. -Only the host now can change the survival settings. -Players can now start a game when an invited player is still pending. -Players no longer need to reform the party after every game. Beta Patch Notes 0.3.6

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.6 This patch is now LIVE! This patch mainly focuses on some bug fixes and balancing. Also the Web page is finally LIVE! Come check it out at http://stardriftnomads.com/ Campaign: -Reworked the wave spawns for level 6-15 -Bosses should no longer spawn twice -Objectives to get shot less then X now work properly Gameplay: -Bomber's shell projectile now have a greater hit box to make it easier to hit their targets -Caltrops will now deal very minor damage and stun its target for a brief time before applying its slow effect. (Community Request) -Caltrops will also last slightly longer -The Armor Seal (Active) will now grant 80%-100% of damage reduction according to its rank. -Bomb Trap now deals more damage. (Community Request) -Bomb trap has a quicker CD for the higher ranks skill (Community Request) -Mine field has a slight increase in damage -Shotgun weapon will deal more damage per shot but fires less bullets -Stealth Decoy will deal more damage as well as a wider radius to ensure it hits the enemies. -Heat seeking weapons now track their target faster. -The Burster Tower now holds less charges -Took the alcohol away from the Rocketeer pirate. The sober Rocketeer will now be able to hit its target properly. -Magnet tower will no longer try to pull an asteroid towards it and will always try to push it away -Stealth decoy will now match the players speed when used. -Gravity Bomb will no longer instantly kill anything that hits the center but has had increased damage. -EMP Stun will last much longer at lower levels (Communty Request) -EMP Will knock out any enemy shields they currently have -Rift deals more damage now to anything it teleports -Cargo Seal (Active) projectile has a larger hit box Graphics: -Stealth effects will now show properly. -The colony ship has had a makeover Misc: - Units will no longer appear outside the mini map radar. - The camera will no longer spin when selecting your passive abilities - Over 30 new voices for stilts for each wave spawn - Escape pods no longer get stunned - Escape pods can no longer block bullets. -Mines will no longer self detonate while the game is paused (Community Bug) Want to play with other Beta Testers? Beta Patch Notes 0.3.5

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.5. This patch is now LIVE! This patch is focus on balancing and tweaking existing campaign levels. Campaign: -Fix a few campaign crashes error -Added the last 5 levels -Updated all level descriptions (Still a work in progress) -Rebalance enemy waves in level 1-6 to fit more with the story line - Fix a few instants two scrap Asteroids were spawning together Gameplay: -Tracker turret will now fire at Asteroids (Still won't track asteroids though) - Gravity Bomb will now instantly destroy anything that gets suck into the middle - Gravity Bomb also deals minor damage to anything caught in its pull - Machine Gun now has double the RoF but half the damage - Torpedo has had damage slightly increased - Radiation bomb deals more damage over time but duration has been reduced - Exhaust now deals more damage from the fire - Retaliate now deals a flat damage amount rather then scaling base on damage you took - Retaliate has had its damage increased - Ion tower now has a health increase per upgrade - Ion tower projectile now travels much faster - Flak Turret now has a health increased per upgrade - Mines from the Mine Tower now live twice as long before self detonate. - Laser Tower now deals more damage and greater range - Mining laser now deals more damage - Bomb Trap will now target better when attacking Graphics: -Added glow to the wall towers -Updated the glow on cracked asteroids -More tweaks to the main menu and gameplay lighting. -Class icon should fit better on screen Misc: -Achievements have been added Want to play with other Beta Testers? Beta Patch Notes 0.3.4

Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.4. This patch is now LIVE! Campaign is now active! This is still in its rough stages so expect lots of bugs, typo and unbalance levels. They will be getting patch and fix in the upcoming patches! Campaign: - Each level will contain objectives that can be earned for extra Experience. - Each level also has a golden objective that will award large amount of Experience but are difficult to obtain. - Campaign is able to support 1-8 players with the difficulty scaling to the amount of players in the level. - Levels will unlock from level 1 to 15 (Currently disable for testing purposes) Gameplay: - Fix bug that made crack asteroids spawn more crack asteroids when destroyed - Change the look of the gas clouds to block vision better and cover more of the field. - Change the radar jam effect slightly. Hey everyone! Here is the patch notes for 0.3.1. This patch is now LIVE! Gameplay: -Weapon upgrades now also increase the projectile size per rank! (Community Request) -Fix stun effect staying on enemies permanently. -Fix the Repel skill so towers no longer target the shield. -Bullets have a better collision sphere to make targeting enemies a bit easier. Upgrades weapons will also have increase collision sphere! (Community Request) -Fix drill's endless range (Community bug report) -Increased snipers max range. Sniper still gains its full damage by shooting the length of the screen but now will go further beyond the screen. -Adjusted "The Big One"skill to fire less bullets with a shorter arc. (Community Request) UI: -Added a "F1 for controls" text to show players how to bring the control scheme back on screen.
