Dear friends, this long-expected day has come! Fifth rating season starts today! New season holds many interesting updates: 1. Top 100 ladder players, along with winners of the tournament would receive special badges in internet shell, which would remain for the next seasons. In case player was in top 100 during different ladder seasons, only the best results badge would be displayed. 2. The rating system would be ELO. The game options are 5000 with 15 pt 2x2. The top 100 players of fourth Cossacks 3 ladder season, which was for first time in Cossacks 3 history 2x2 team based, have been discovered, they would receive special lifetime internet shell signs, while the new season would be started. Top 32 players have got an opportunity to participate in Season Clash 4, fighting for glory and prizes. We remind that Season Clash 4 is the official Cossacks 3 tournament, which would be held in 2x2 format for the first time in history. It'd be held on 14-20-th of May. Qualifiers would be held 14-17-th of May on evenings. Double elimination games would be held on 18-20-th of May. Dear friends! We are wholeheartedly congratulating you on past holidays! We're presenting you a new update, which has multiplayer fixes and various small balance changes. Patch Notes 16.01.18 (2.0.2.87.5828) Multiplayer: 1. Ranked games points calculation has been changed: - First player to leave, before the end of peace time receives a penalty to his score and defeat, even if his team has won the match. - Any player who'd leave after the first one, won't receive any penalties. - Leaving the game after peace time is over won't net a penalty. Points would be granted according to team's performance during the match. - Player, who has got an ally leaver before the peace time was over, won't receive any defeat penalty, but will get victory points, in case he'd win. 2. Fixed errors, which prevented player from receiving points after the match is over. 3. Changed the mechanism of ranking in multiplayer. It's easier to get promotion to higher ranks now and players are distributed more evenly on ranking scale. 4. Matchmaking algorithm for quick games has been improved. 5. Fixed a rare error, causing nonmirror matches. Earlier, it was possible to have a Poland+Poland vs Turkey+Turkey matchup, instead of even nation distribution between teams. 6. Multiplayer games stability has been improved. Fixed some errors causing the game to 'hang up'. Balance: 1. European and Switzerland pikeman protection against arrow decreased from 7 to 6. 2. Mercenary roundshier protection against arrow decreased from 19 to 17. 3. Mercenary archer normal arrow attack range increased from 650 to 700. 4. Mercenary grenadiers grenade attack range increased from 370 to 400. 5. Shipyards cost rise per building increased from 0% to 50%. 6. European shipyards cost decreased from 1700 wood, 900 stone, 400 iron to 1600 wood, 800 stone, 400 iron. 7. Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian shipyards prices were also slightly decreased. 8. Academy upgrades that increase artillery attack range, hit points, and repair now also have effect on mortars. 9. Various nations temple, church, cathedral, mosque prices was slightly reworked/decreased. 10. Turkish archer minimal attack range decreased from 400 to 300 Utility: 1. The thing you were asking for so long - team-based ladder games are here! The Fourth season provides 2vs2 ladder games, which will add new tactics and strategies, allowing fiercer, brighter and more exciting battles. It's possible that we'd see new big names on the path to cossacks olympus! Since this is a new option, it's possible that sometimes points won't be added correctly, but we'll fix it soon. We're sorry, that start of this season has been slightly delayed, but we wanted to add the new features very much. 2. This season's ladder option: 5000, 15pt, random nations, without peasants capture. 3. As usual, top 100 ladder players, along with winners of the tournament, would receive special badges in internet shell, which would remain for the next seasons. In case player was in top 100 during different ladder seasons, only the best results badge would be displayed. 4. The season would end with "Season Clash 4" coming afterwards, where the best ladder players would fight fiercely for glory and prizes. Date of the Season Clash 4 (and ending of the 4-th season) would be announced later. 5. The rating system would be ELO, as in third ladder season. Previous rating would be reset this night. Patch Notes 20.10.17 (1.9.5.83.5749)


Dear friends! Today we're presenting you a huge patch with lots of changes! We've made a long-awaited handy chat. Now, it would be much easier to commence a battle with your friend or any other user. Patch contains improtant changes in units balance, market prices and AI improvements, along with bug fixes. Patch Notes 20.10.17 (1.9.5.83.5749) Balance: - Fast moving cavalry have +5 extra defence against bullets while moving. - Bullet critical hit doesn't trigger on moving fast cavalry units. - Multibarrel cannons have twice larger logical size, so it is easier to destroy them with artillery. - Multibarrel cannons limit was changed from 5 to 3 per artillery depot. - 18 century shooters without bayonnete production speed increased from 15-20%. - 18 century dragoons production speed increased from 7-17%. Next changes to food and stone prices were applied in previous patch: - Food selling price was decreased by ~15%. - Stone selling price was increased by ~8%. Mercenaries: Light Infantry - Attack damage increased from 15 to 16. - Won't have +2/+2 formation bonus anymore. Archer: - Attack damage increased from 24 to 25. - They won't have +2/+2 formation bonus anymore. - Attack range changed from 350-650 to 300-750 (min-max attack range). Bug fixes: 1. Fixed bug, allowing player was able to earn gold by ordering production of mercenary units (when they have already maxed price) and canceling production. 2. Tuned AI market resource exchange policy, for better base developing. 3. Tuned AI player to better constuct shipyards on island maps. 4. Fixed rare bug with uncontrolable formation in historical battles. Players communication: 1. Private messages were reworked. Now you are able to send private messages without /w (/whisper) command! You may just click on player in list (located on right to the chat window), or on hisher message in chat window in order to write directly to him, as writing nickname correctly for each message was hindering communications. 2. Message filter. You may filter all messages with next options: a) Show all messages; b) Show only your messages along with messages sent to you. Forget about missed opportunites on playing interesting battles with your friends, just because their messages were 'lost' in global chat, just use a "Private messages" checkbox in upper right corner of chat window. 3. Instant inputbox's addressee clearing: after reaching ':' symbol before his nickname: just press the Backspace button twice. 4. You won't be wasting time on clearing message anymore: just press button "Clear" (located under the chat window), and you'd be ready to write a "Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks". Reminder: you may delete your message with 'Escape' button too. We hope, that this chat update would allow you, cossackers, to find and create lots of great multiplayer battles! Developer comments: 1. Changes in market prices should move focus from food to stone in middle and late game. Now, food economy was dominating most part of the game. 2. Most of 18 century dragoons was less powerful then their 17 century brothers. We tried to change it and give 18 century better chances, but with much greater price to produce enough power. 3. Most of 18 century shooters with out bayonnete was less powerful against general musketeers and don't have chance to play its unique features with higher bullet damage but more fragile against any melee enemy unit. 4. We have removed formation bonus for mercenary infantry, while increase base damage, for units that don't use officers to form squad. We find this feature non-challenging while it give quite unpredictable advantage. Removing such bonus made these mercenary units power predictable . Have a nice day!

Third Season


Dear friends, this long-expected day has come! Third rating season starts today (we're sorry it hadn't started yesterday)! New season holds many interesting updates: 1. Top 100 ladder players, along with winners of the tournament would receive special badges in internet shell, which would remain for the next seasons. In case player was in top 100 during different ladder seasons, only the best results badge would be displayed. 2. The season would end with "Season Clash 3" coming afterwards, where the best ladder players would fight fiercly for glory and prizes. Season's resluts would be concluded at 8-th of December and "Season Clash 3" would be held on 18-24th of December. 3. The rating system would be ELO, as in second ladder season. The game options are 5000 with 0 pt. Previous ladder would be resetted. 4. Improved matchmaking system for rating games. 5. Decreased amount of points required for ranks. Starting of the new season, would mean that last one would have a glorious ending! We congratulate top100 players, who've got unfading glory and respect in our community. Dear friends! First round of Season Clash 2 would start on this Friday at 20:00. In this regard, we've released a beta version of mini-addon with new Spectator feature. To become Spectator, you'd have to select Spectator in list of nations. Spectator has the next features: - Switching between players via hotkeys Alt+1, Alt+2 ... Alt+8 or, if your Num Lock is turned on, Num1, Num2 ... Num8 - Ctrl+F - turning the fog of war onoff for selected player. While having another player selected spectator is able to select buildings, watch over upgrades research and select units, but he's unable to give orders :) We hope that this feature would be helpful for tournament streams. Dear friends! Season Clash 2 would start soon - on 29 of September! We remind that Season Clash is the official Cossacks 3 tournament. Top players of our ladder would compete not only with each other, but with 4 special guests, which had demonstrated prominent Cossacks 3 skills beforehand. Rating table would be recorded on 17th of September at 12AM CET. Afterwards we will send invitations on your e-mail. If you will receive an invitation, please, provide an answer in two days, otherwise your tournament slot would be given to the next player in rating table. In this season defeated ones would be provided with chance to take their revenge, while victorious ones would be able to prove their dominance on battlefields. Dear friends! There's a small pause in tournament era, and that means we're getting new balance changes. This patch drastically changes the melee units, greatly improves the food as main resource, and of course changes alot of different units stats! Patch Notes 1.08.17 (1.8.1.80.5478) Battle: - Attack animation speed is decreased by 20%. Attack time is higher by 25%. All melee units start to deal damage less frequently. While shooters reload time wasn't changed - Removed 30% chance that mortar ball won't deal any damage. - Changes in map generation rules. Places for one gold, iron and coal mines were moved further from the base. Economics: - Decreased needed count of wheat cut out to gather food from 26 to 22 times - Increased portion of gathered food by 12.5% - Price for buying Iron and Coal is increased by ~40%. Now you have to sell more resources to get same amount of Iron and Coal. Dear friends! Here's the first big post-tournament patch. It introduces new functions, to improve big armies handling, and fixes many errors. Patch Notes 21.07.17 (1.8.0.79.5460) General: 1. Improved game's initial loading. Now the game's waiting for all players to load. Prior to patch, it was possible for a player with less performant PC to load slightly later than other players. 2. Improved units locations synchronization in multiplayer games. 3. New astonishing backgrounds on game's loading screens. 4. Added new hotkeys, to complement existing ones: Shift+(1-0) - binds a number to a group of units, adding units to an existing on this number group 5. New 'Free camera' option in settings, which allows to disable un-zoom constraints. Attention! as enabling this option may have negative impact on game performance. Errors: 1. Fixed a rare error, rendering DLCS invisible for game, even when user owned them. 2. Fixed an error, which prevented players from building one of the mines in second mission of Turkey campaign. 3. Fixed an error with medicine upgrade, which was increasing max hp for other nations units. Huge thanks to mr. Madgeek for his ZoomOut mod, which was the most popular Cossacks 3 mod in Steam Workshop and our inspiration. New rating season


Dear friends, this long-expected day has come! Second rating season has started! New season holds many interesting updates: 1. New ELO rating system, which gives even more possibilities for our players to show themselves. Only quailty games, no half measures. Leaving the game before it's finished nets you a penalty to your rating. 2. New option - 5000 resources with 0pt. Games would be faster, grittier and juicer, and the fights would be fiercer. 3. Tournament heights - this update allows players, who've achieved top30 positions in ladder, to train on tournament settings. If top30 player meets an opponent of the same level, their games would use mirror nations. This update has been added, to help top30 players with their trainings before the season finale, which would be hosted in September. 4. The season would end with "Season Clash 2", where the best ladder players would fight for glory and prizes. 5. Top 100 ladder players, along with winners of the tournament would receive special badges in internet shell, which would remain for the next seasons. New feature: New type of quick play games has been added: players can choose now, whether they'd like to play ranked games, or unranked with the same options, without getting rating points. Unranked quick play games allow players to use AI adviser (if you've got it available). Now you can try new tactics without risking your points. Of course, you're still able to create custom game rooms with your own settings. Starting of the new season, would mean that last one would have a glorious ending. Top 100 ladder players of the First season are getting special badges, corresponding to their ladder achievements. We congratulate the owners of these badges, who've got unfading glory and respect in our community. Small, but very important patch (1.7.2.78.5401) : a) Fixed an error, causing peasants to disappear in mines, if buildings were destroyed or captured. b) Fixed rehost process for multiplayer games. Now, after the host's changed: - peasants keep gathering the resources, build or repair buildings, walking to the mines or ferries; - buildings keep producing units and research the upgrades; - units keep walking, according to their orders, keeping their movement modes; - rally points for buildings are staying where they've been placed. c) Fixed a crash, caused by unplugged headphones. d) Fixed an error, rendering Linux players unable to play with Windows users. e) Fixed an error, causing units and buildings to render incorrectly on some Linux machines. 2. Dear friends! Colds have passed by. Summer has come! And we`ve got a whole sea of hot news: 1. Cossacks 3 is taking part in Steam Summer Sale, with astounding -50% discounts for both base game and DLC. 2. We`ve got a new free DLC dedicated to this event. Cossacks 3: Summer Fair introduces summer campaign with funny mission, which would add some colors to your summer holidays. 3. Due to many requests from our community we`re releasing Cossacks 3:Christmas Gift - a free DLC, containing previously released seasonal content. Holiday gift mission would allow our players to help Santa and save Christmas! 4. Cossacks 3: OST would allow our players to listen to their beloved tunes outside of game. It contains 21 tracks in lossless wav format. 5. Our first ranked season has come to its logical conclusion - 'Season Clash' tournament, which will run on these and next weekends (24-25th of June and 1st-2nd of July). Dear friends! Sensation! Sensation! Sensation! We congratulate all Linux owners - a miracle has come to pass! From today "Cossacks 3" is officially available for two platforms - Linux & Windows. Everybody who has Linux-version of the game, without time limitations, gets Early Bird bonus, which contains: - Additional mini campaign for single player. - 2 unique mercenary units that could be hired from the every nation’s Diplomatic Centre. - A special Early Bird Badge visible in multiplayer shell. We are deeply sorry for delays on its release, as we hadn`t foreseen all the difficulties which occured during porting process on other OS. But we sincerely hope you will get enjoy playing our game and this will reward your patience. Dear friends! Having observed mrMuskul Cup tournament games (held last weekend), we`ve decided to introduce some changes, which should add some quality of life improvements to the game. Shooters and cavalry were improved, while pikemen`s bullet protection has been decreased. You may find further details about these changes below: Patch Notes 19.06.17 (1.6.3.77.5349) General: 1. Changed map generation for games with players count <=4 on terrain type Land. Players respawn points are closer to each other now, and have dispersion in their location. In some cases players would be even closers. Without scouting it`s impossible to determine how close are enemies spawn points. 2. Shooters critical hit chance increased from 4% to 5% (Chance to deal additional 0-500 damage). 3. Distance, allowing enemy units to block artillery fire, has been decreased at 25%. 4. 18c barracks construction time decreased by 10%. Upgrades: 1. 'Raise builders salary' (building construction time -75%) upgrade cost decreased from 9050 gold to 6950 gold. 2. 'Research improved steel grades for cuirasses' (armored soldiers defense +2) upgrade cost increased from 7950 gold to 9750 gold. 3. Dear friends! Today we will start the selections of Season Clash participants and in the end of June the battle among the best Cossacks players would begin. We will provide further details on tournament on Friday. Meet the last pre-tournament patch, which includes reworked economics and market trades. Balance has been changed too. You may find further details on these changes below: Patch Notes 14.06.17 (1.6.1.77.5342) Economics: 1. Increased food harvesting speed by 15% (1 field holds more concurrently working peasants now). 2. Mine upgrades cost has been decreased. 3. Academy food upgrades costs have been decreased. Market: 1. Resource prices regenerate (restore to their former values) much faster now. 2. Stone and wood prices has been increased. Wood is more valuable than stone now. New features: 1. Random and multiplayer games options now include fixed speed options. 2. Random and multiplayer games options now include population limit options. 3. Critical hit mechanics has been reworked. Now, critical chance concludes 4%. Critical hit adds random damage (from 0 to 400). Units with high health would die less frequently, than infantry. 4. Now, you can form squads starting from 15 soldiers. Palisade (wooden wall): 1. Protection increased from 15 to 95. Now it can hold some time against archers, but grenades are still highly effective. Ships: 1. Ships construction speed upgrade increases construction speed in 5 times instead of 10. 2. Ships are constructed twice as fast now. 3. Ships construction prices are lowered. Errors: 1. Fixed wood resource gathering on desert maps. 2. Improved game`s performance for large quantities of heavy sipahis on screen. 3. Fixed achievements: Frantic struggle, Uneven chances, Surrounded at all sides. 4. Fixed Stand Ground error for shooters. When you commanded to move&attack to point, shooters often didn`t attacked enemies. And, when they reached destination point, they weren`t attacking units located too far, when they had enemy units nearby. Now, when shooter has Stand Ground order he looks for target he`s able to attack. 5. Fixed an error, which caused incorrect display of buildings hit points on client PCs. There were mines, which were looking damaged, and players were unable to order peasants to repair this mine or get inside. Shipyards, standing still with 0 hp, while not exploding were fixed too. Upgrades: 1. XVIII century upgrade cost decreased. 2. Balloon upgrade cost increased from 1750 gold to 5750 gold, to compensate lower 18th century upgrade cost. 3. Bayonet upgrades (academy ones) costs have been decreased. 4. Changed firepower upgrades in Academy. All of them are granting +15% bonus now. Costs changed from 6000, 7000, 12000, 21000 gold to 5000 iron, 4000 gold, 7000 gold, 11000 coal. 5. Added both cuirass upgrades for Turkey (effects heavy sipahi). Balance: 1. Stables, 18th century barracks, artillery depot costs decreased. 2. Artillery depot requires academy now (stables aren`t required anymore). 3. Patch Notes 05.05.17


Dear friends! We are glad to present patch, which adds new minimal size of map to Cossacks 3. This option will ideally suit fast and fierce 1x1 and 2x2 battles. This is the final patch until the release of our next DLC - Path to Grandeur (16.05). Next patch will be released simultaneously with DLC, and will provide changes in balance, introduce new units to existing nations along with other improvements. Patch Notes 05.05.17 (1.5.4.72.5195) General: 1. Implemented algorithm to search for proper place to construct a building, if current position is unavailable. Now the game would propose to use proper place nearby 2. Campaign units stats were corrected, in correspondence to latest rebalance patch. 3. Transport ship`s movement speed increased on 25%, transport capacity increased from 80 to 120 units 4. Added new hotkey for pause , for keyboards without Pause key: Ctrl+Shift+P 5. Transcription of the second stream with developers.


On 21st of April we had conducted our second developers stream (you may watch it here). Evgeniy Grygorovych, the lead developer of Cossacks 3, answered your questions, explained how to play Scotland and elucidated details in AI adviser`s behaviour. Questions were asked by well known streamer and magnificent anchorman Lord Eagle. Here are the questions and answers from our stream: 1. Will you work further on optimizing the game? Yes, we have two ideas on improvements: 1) Graphics optimizations, which would allow our players to train more units, maintaining good fps. 2) Improving random map generation and game loading speed. 2. Would you organize new game key raffles? Well, this question should be redirected to our PR-department. They're creating such contests periodically, so it`s possible. 3. Could you add the standard bearer unit to the game? Currently we`re using two units to form a squad - officer and drummer and that's hard enough to constantly control. Adding third unit would render this task even harder. It`ld make sense only after implementing simpler mechanics of squad forming. 4. Can you provide us with further details on AI adviser and it`s (his) functions? First of all, adviser was created with new players in mind, which aren't familiar with our demanding game mechanics. For example, game punishes forgetful players with starvation mechanic. Using AI adviser they're getting acknowledged with importance of having stored food, gold; default build orders et cetera much faster. Our veteran players also would be pleased, as new players would be able to provide better resistance, leading to more interesting games. Such features as reminding about key upgrades, commanding peasants to gather resources after finishing a building and filling empty mines automatically would help everyone, not only the newcomers. 5. How exactly does adviser commands peasants? For now he`s choosing peasants semi-randomly from the ones which`re gathering wood or stone. We`re working on further improvements, to suit players with different build-orders and tactics, where taking peasants from some resources is more critical. 6. Would you add cooperative mode to control 1 nation via 2 players? Yes, we would do this, though it won't be in the next month at least. It could be added in the most basic mode fast, but we want to make this feature as bug-less as possible. 7. Question about Scotland - you`ve promised that all nations would be free to the buyers of basic game, why this one is released as luxury mini-expansion? We've promised to provide access to all 20 nations from Cossacks 1, deluxe players are able to play new nations earlier than basic version players. Scotland is absolutely new nation to Cossacks series, therefore it`s added as mini-expansion. We're also planning to add new unit-packs to existing nations. Adding such a unique nation is much harder task, since we have to invent, test and balance new units and their interactions. More nations like this could be added in future, as they're expanding game experience, in comparison with other european nations. 8. Could you tell us about next new nation to be added into Cossacks 3? There`are some ideas, but nation is still not 100% sure chosen, so I won`t voice it, as our fans may be disappointed if we would choose the other one. In the next deluxe edition dlc we would add Portugal and Hungary, with some new units for Turkey and Spain. 9. Would you change units from default European nations ? It`s possible, but only with addition of new unique units to existed nations. 10. Do you plan to add new naval units and improve existing ones? We`re testing naval rebalance now, as we hadn`t added these changes to last rebalance patch. 18th century units aren`t in development right now, they exist as concepts only. We do hope to provide further improvements on navy in free patches. 11. When would you fix dark edges on the map? There`re some possible fixes: for example, we can render grass further. We think that trouble would be with pointing these areas as unplayable(impassable terrain) to our players. Dark edges isn`t the most aesthetically pleasing solution, though they provide clear border between game regions. 12. Is it possible to add Scotland shooter from English barracks to Scotland`s castle and why each next castle costs 4x comparing to previous one? First of all, this unit is England`s unique one from 18th century and we won`t “steal” him to add to Scotland. Our vision of Scotland is as of unique nation without 18th century with its own strong and weak sides. For example, Scotland would most likely lose in long perspective, so it`s strong side is in dynamic early game and mid-game. Players should keep harassing their enemies with clans swordsmen and raiders. This nation requires different mindset. Castle isn`t another 17th century barracks, it acts as viable alternative to 18th century barracks during mid-game, as clans swordsmen have insane high attack with all upgrades. 13. Why Swedish 18th century pikemen are weaker than European ones? This revision of rebalance isn`t perfect, and has some errors. This inequality is probably one of them. Good news is, after rebalance rarely used units, such as musketeers, reiters and other units became much more viable. 14. What are you planning to do with misusing officers as attack units? After our latest rebalance officers got nerfed, and this tactics is no longer as widely used as it was. Before nerfing officers even further we should analyze top-players tactics on countering them. Nowadays this units are only part of players armies, not the whole army in itself. 15. Do you plan to add 18th century requirement to mercenary 18th century dragoons? I don`t think that this is a good idea, as dragoons aren`t imbalanced units now; I suppose they may even got nerfed too much. This requirement would decrease amount of 17th century strategies. 16. Will you fix unobtainable steam achievements? We are acknowledged of this bug, it`s harder to fix than we thought. We`re patching the game actively, and in time would fix achievements too. 17. Would you change the rating system? Many top-players aren`t pleased with existing system and are wishing to use ELO system, like the one used in MOBAs and chess. This system has negative feature :if you`re high level in ELO, it`s better to abstain from further games, as you would only lose rating. Our current system is similar to Cossacks 1, and it`s imperfect as players who`re able to play frequently are getting higher rankings. Next rating reset is planned on next dlc release. We would work on it, to make it better. 18. Could you provide us with paper on mac and linux porting, and why it`s so hard? We do want to write and publish it after finishing this task, as linux version is ready, and mac one has good progress too. It`d be an interesting reading for both programmers and gamers. 19. Is it possible to create map-option prohibiting peasants to finish other nations builidings creation? Yes, it`s possible. Though, I don`t suppose it`d be positive to our game dynamics, as capturing other nations peasants and leading them to base is hard. Modders should be able to do it, as they`re provided with same tools as we`ve used in game creation. 20. Will you add allied player-to-player trading functionality? Yes, it`s required. 21. Question on Scotland`s build order – is it better to construct castles or stables first? I don`t think there`s definite build order for all possible situations. In some games castles would be better, while in other stables would dominate. Castle is oriented on longer games, as you can have less upgrades, cause you have only 1 castle at start, and you can't make several upgrades at once. So slow unit upgrades would stagger your army quantity. If you`re using stables, you won't have such problem but, wood resource collection upgrade is must-have in that case. 22. When would you release the Mac version? Mac version is almost ready. It`s going to be released soon after Linux version. Sadly, i can`t say that it`s going to be released today 23. Why mortar`s shooting range is 3 times longer now? It`s able to hit buildings across half of the map. I suppose the question was about howitzer, since mortars range weren`t changed. In rating games, however, map size is smaller, so it may look as mortar`s range is much longer. Howitzer`s damage was lowered, and it`s not the mass destruction weapon now. Missing with howitzers shoot is much less devastating for nearby units, while direct hit damage is still good. Actually, howitzer should be played as totally new unit. 24. Do you plan to develop American Conquest 2? AC was a good game, and i would like to create sequel. However, we`re focused on Cossacks 3 right now and i can`t make any promises. 25. Do you plan to develop new games? Yes. 26. When you would fix towers and mines mass upgrades? We are working on it, and will provide a fix, but it`s not on the top of the list. 27. Are there going to be any new multiplayer modes? For example custom sea/land battles, or capturing some points. I`ve heard modders were talking about them, though there weren`t any complete ideas on definitively fun and interesting new modes. So, it`s possible to implement by our users, but we would add them to base game only after some proofs on their efficiency. User mods may become even popular than base game (DotA, Counter Strike), so modders may try it. 28. Could you add cobblestones near buildings, similar to Cossacks 1? Currently we`re using different textures under different buildings. Some of them are using ground/dirt instead of cobblestones. We can add cobblestones to all buildings, but we won`t, since current solution seems good to us. 29. By any chance, do you plan to change ranking system? It is unknown whether the new system would be better than current one. We`ll have to clear ratings and experiment, while other tasks on bug-fixing and polishing mechanics would be delayed. We have very many single players, which would appreciate balance changes or new content. Creating new system would mean our single players are getting robbed of patches. 30. Will you change the trades on market? Is it possible to nerf the market? If you`re talking about reverse trades (for example, if you have 1000 gold and would like to trade stone to gold, it`d be much more profitable to exchange 1000 gold in stone, and then sell all existing stone in exchange for gold), than it`s the side-bug of our economic model.After all previous balance changes market isn`t as important as it was. We have another market model, but it isn`t implemented as we`re afraid of breaking the existing balance. And there`s the other idea: one player is focusing on market, while other is spending their resources on something completely new, which would provide him with similar benefits. We`re thinking that creating new ways of progressing would be better than nerfing market. 31. What chair are you sitting on? That`s NaVi branded chair. 32. Is it possible to re-release Cossacks 1 campaigns in Cossacks 3? It is possible, but we`re definitely against reusing old campaigns. In Cossacks 3 we`ve even used new plot-schemes. 33. Which benefits has the attacker, in comparison to defending player? In my opinion, attacker is able to constantly harass defender with raids and diversions. That would lead defender to making errors, while attacker is enjoying more safe environment. Capturing buildings is also extremely effective. 34. When would you improve the palisade stats? It was made a lot more effective in latest rebalance. 35. How should you play with Scottish archers? They`re unplayable, just like chasseurs, pandurs and English highlanders. It`s a question to pro-players. In my opinion they`re usable. Chasseurs and pandurs were also improved in latest rebalance patch. 36. Is it possible for you to implement “invite friend” button for steam? Yes it is must-have feature, but it isn`t our top priority. 37. Can you add some delay in game starting process in multiplayer? We`ll definitely add it. 38. Would you create the ingame encyclopedia, with all units and nations features and statistics? New players should browse patch-notes and forums as for now. We have this table and are planning to incorporate it ingame. I`m not sure on how it`ll look, but we`re working on this. 39. Any new DLCs with improved naval units mechanics this year? We`d like to do it, but it depends on time constraints 40. Do you plan to add day-night cycle and precipitation? It is possible to add day-night cycle via modifications. We are not planning to add it to the base game, as it would make game look worse and render problems in visibility of some units 41. Do you plan to add Japan with original samurai units? I don't want to answer this question :) 42. You should improve burgomeister`s resource collection options. I was training peasants and sending new ones to mine stone, while AI has changed their orders to “gather food" This is definitely a bug. We`re working on further improvements to AI assistant. Only peasants without player orders should be redirected to resources . 43. Would you stream with mods in future? It`s possible. 44. Why the AI adviser isn`t free? This is game`s expansion and result of hard work. Work should be paid off. This allows us to release new patches and provide further support to game. You may try adviser for free in multiplayer games. In order to do this you should join game where host has Guardians of the Highlands DLC. 45. Would there be any swamps or other obstacles on the map? We`re going to add lakes and rivers (which are almost finished). 46. Is it possible to add pirates nation? Maybe you`ll release special program to create custom nations? It is possible to add custom nation right now and it isn`t technically difficult. We will try to make some tools or wizards to make this process easier, but it isn`t in high priority right now. 47. Will you implement the system of giving unit controls to ally? No, we don`t think it`s a necessity. Such system could be used for cheating purposes. For example, one player could waste all his resources on upgrades and other would train an army and give it to first one. Upgrades are tied to player, so it may be used for cheating. 48. Using drummer as scout is abit farcically. Maybe you should add new scout unit? It wouldn`t make the gameplay more interesting, the only improvements would be in visuals. While choosing between scout or new gameplay units for European nations – we`d choose new units, as they`ve much more worth for our players.

Adviser changes and patch notes


Dear friends! As we`ve promised, work on improving the balance is going on. After thorough analysis and testing of your suggestions and recommendations, we`ve done some major fixes and changes, which should make the game better. Also in the new patch we improved the AI Adviser (function from Guardians of the Highlands mini expansion). You can read more about these changes below: General: 1. Reduced the critical (headshot) chance of muskets from 4 to 3. AI Adviser (function from DLC Guardians of the Highlands): 1. While choosing troops to set on guard near buildings, adviser will try to use melee infantry. 2. AI assistant won`t repair buildings which were set on fire by player via pressing the Delete key. 3. Changed peasant selection algorithm used for constructing new buildings. Now it processes game priorities, size and time of construiction properly 4. Now AI sets peasants training on infinte production, instead of building them one by one. 5. Changed resource gathering priorites. Now adviser would send lesser amounts of peasants to gather food. 6. Fixed an error, which caused adviser using units from squads to set on guard. Errors: 1. Fixed an error, when units able to shoot and attack with bayonet weren`t able to attack in melee if reload time for musket wasn`t over. 2. Fixed an error, causing some shooters inability to shoot from maximum range. Scotland is a brand-new nation, that's why we're going to shed some light on its units: 1) Scotland`s unique feature is its ability to build two different barracks - for highlanders and lowlanders. At the same time, the nation cannot proceed into the 18th century and has no 18th century units or buildings. 2) The Scottish peasant is non-capturable, just like the Ukrainian one. Though, you can acquire them in a similar way as well - by capturing the town center or any occupied mine. 3) Covenant pikeman is an unarmored pikeman with a higher attack, better upgrades and slightly bigger health pool. While he's able to fight on par with the European pikemen, he`s more vulnerable to ranged attacks 4) Covenant musketeer - has more health than his European counterparts. Uses more gunpowder, but shoots further. 5) Sword clansmen are the Scotland's main defenders. He's an unarmored infantry unit, armed with broadsword and shield. Moves a bit faster than other infantry. He has the most health among the foot soldiers. After upgrades has extremely strong attack. We advise to complete all defence and bayonet upgrades for grenadiers / musketeers, if you`re playing against Scotland. At the end of 18th century swordsman becomes weaker, therefore we do not recommend Scotland players to participate in long peace time sessions. 6) Bow clansman has a long ranged bow, that's designed to set buildings of fire. This comes in handy, as Scotland has no grenadiers. Has a lot of health points. 7) Lancer - an unarmored cavalry unit with a pike. Has a lot of health, but below average damage. 8) Raider is a light cavalry unit with a broadsword. Has high health and damage parameters, but takes a while to build. 9) Fframe gun is a multibarrel cannon. It's a viable range support, although watch out for friendly fire. 10) Scotland also has a unique officer with an extremely large health pool. The mini-expansion is not a part of the Deluxe Edition of the game.

Key changes in the re-balance patch


Dear friends! As we mentioned yesterday, along with the new mini-expansion we are starting out the first phase of our scheduled global rebalance of the game. The latest update affected almost every unit in the game, changing or tweaking the stats of soldiers all across Europe in Cossacks 3. In the future we plan to bring changes to naval units and the economy of the game. We would be glad to listen to your feedback on the re-balance, as your opinion and enjoyment of the game is crucial for us. Main changes: 1. Rate of fire. Now musketeers have higher reload times, but pack more punch with each shot. 2. Musketeer 17c, Dragoon 17c and Reiter are now recruited faster. 3. Light Cavalry (Hussar etc) now use the "sword" type of damage, which will help the heavy cavalry in dealing with them. 4. Overhauled the durability values of the artillery. Howitzer now has a higher rate of fire, along with a bigger radius of fire. 5. Walls now have cheaper maintenance costs, and gates have less durability. 6. Re-balanced the units with over the top stats. 7. Every unit in the game has undergone a complex reevaluation process, which takes in account both existing balance and the units planned for the updates to come. 8. Due to reduction of build times of numerous units in this patch, we decided to speed up the food harvesting process by 1/3. 9. Increased the efficiency of resource gathering in mines by 30%, so that it would keep up with the new game's dynamics. 10. Slightly reduced the cost of mine upgrades, so that they would be a more viable option in comparison to stone + market.

Changes to the release of Guardians of the Highlands


Dear friends! Due to technical problems with some of the DLC mechanics that we’ve spotted at the last-moment tests, we are forced to postpone the release of the mini-expansion, Cossacks 3: Guardians of the Highlands, till tomorrow. Nonetheless, we are glad to announce that we’re going to release a complete rebalance patch along with the Scottish DLC, about which you can read below. Re-balance of all in-game units is just a firsts stage of our planned three-step program for the game’s balance, about which we are already talked during our first live-stream. In the future we want to change the game’s economy and the dynamics of resource gathering, to further diversify the viable ways of developing your country. The upcoming changes will affect almost every unit in the game: we’ve changed the initial parameters of soldiers, as well as the amount of bonuses the upgrades provide. With the rebalance, each nation becomes a viable option in the hands of a skilled player, giving the game yet another competitive edge. From the very release of the game we were always saying that Cossacks 3 is not a simple remaster, but a continuation of the series, a true successor to the legendary original classic. We want to forge it with you, by listening to your feedback and comments. After the release of the patch, we would be glad to listen to your opinion on the state of the new balance, both your critique and praise. Translation of the QA stream with the developers


Dear friends! As you remember, last Friday the lead developer of Cossacks 3, Evgeniy Grygorovych, streamed our first ever Q&A session with the community. Due to certain reasons, it was conducted in Russian, so some of you may had some troubles understanding it. Nevertheless, we collected all of your questions and Evgeniy gladly answered them during the steam. Below is the full translation of the Q & A session that answers on such questions as what awaits Cossacks 3, what are our future plans and what can you expect from our upcoming mini-expansion, Guardians of the Highland, and much more! Q: Do you plan on updating the interface? A: No, from the very beginning we wanted to recreate the atmosphere of the original Cossacks, which many remember from their childhood. We wanted to create a very similar, recognizable UI… More “modern” look you can most likely get from the (user created) modifications. Q: Is the game going to get on sale during some holiday? A: Well, each release of the new DLC / update is a reason to celebrate, so we’re trying to put our game on sale during such periods. It’s quite possible that Cossacks 3 will go on sale when Guardian of the Highlands will hit the Steam store. Q: Why you didn’t release the Mac and Linux versions today? A: We had some technical difficulties, but soon enough everyone will get access to the open beta, you need to wait a bit. We really underestimated the task. Q: Will there be any official tournaments any time soon? A: Yes, we are working on it. We also support community made competitions. Q: How long o you plan on supporting Cossacks 3? A: We have a First year plan, it’s set in stone. So until September we shall regularly update the game and we plan on releasing 2 more DLC for deluxe edition owners. Q: Do you have any ideas for absolutely new games? A: We have some ideas, for both completely new games, and continuations of our older titles. Q: Will you enable the price progression for mercenary dragoons when you hire them with a “Shift” button? A: Well, after the latest dragoon nerf they are not the force they used to be anymore. There’s no need for this anymore. Q: Do you plan on implementing clan system into the game? A: We want to introduce some kind of clan system into the game. It’s a necessary thing, but we can only implement it when the ranked game will stable, when the main game bugs will be squashed… Only then we can add a clan system to the game, as the future of the game is with it. Q: Will there be any manuals for mod creators? Yes, we plan to create some manuals. Right now they are made mostly by other modders, but we shall civilize the, add intricate nuances only known to us… But again, this is a question of a few months… We shall also polish the game editor, make it more user-friendly, like in the original Cossacks. Q: Do you want to make the game more e-sports friendly? A: I think that the community makes the game e-sport ready, no the developers. Most of the modern e-sport hits were made by the players, they were modifications (Eugene is referring to DotA and CS). The developer can never guarantee that he’s making a hit, while the players can, they are not afraid to take risks. Q: Do you plan on adding a coop mode for two players, so that they would be able to play as the same nation/color? A: Yes, I want to implement this possibility. Playing as the same color is great. I hope to add this within 2-3 patches, from a technical point of view it’s shouldn’t cause much trouble. Q: Will you fix the re-host? A: Yes. Q: Will you bring the patrol order back? A: Actually, the modders already brought this function back. So, there’s a high chance it may make a comeback, if the modders will be generous enough to share it with us. They usually do. Q: What will happen to the English Highlanders after the release of Scotland? A: England will still have its own Highlander, while Scotland will have its own unique units. Q: Do you plan to change the reload speed of the musketeers? A: I thought I would be able to release the new balance with the today’s patch. We have a build with a completely overhauled balance, where almost every unit has new stats. The main idea behind the changes: increasing the production time of 17c musketeers, increasing their reload time and per shot damage. 17th century cavalry also got rebalance, now it builds faster, but has… less HP, so they won’t be “tanks” anymore. Q: Will there be any additional eastern nations? A: We have some eastern nations in development… the tatars, for example, we are evaluating right now if they are suitable for the game. We also have some ideas for more… eastern nations, but we are not ready to announce them yet. Yes, we want to get away from the concept of Europe… For example, Scotland won’t be a standard European nation, it will pay as a non-european nation in terms of economy and development. It won’t have the 17th century upgrade, but will have 2 barracks: for highlanders and lowlanders. The castle of highlanders will be quite expensive, but available from the very start. It’s a counterpart of the 18th century barracks, but it will give players a completely new experience, as they will be able to make a choice on which way to develop the nation. I’m sure the player will love Scotland. We plan on adding numerous interesting mechanics. Q: What unique units the Scottish roster will have? A: its own unique highlander archer, highlander with a sword, 2 types of cavalry units (fast and slow), unique officer and peasant (uncapturable, just like the Ukrainian one), and its own multibarrel cannon. Q: Will we be able to rotate the camera in-game? A: You do it right now with help of mods, but we plan on adding this as a n option. The rotation won’t be completely free, there will be a certain degree to which the player will be able to turn the camera, so that he won’t get lost on the battlefield. This is common in the e-sport games, this is considered (as a) good (move). Q: Do you plan on adding different bonuses to different formations? A: Right now no, as you can switch the formation on a go, it takes no time. Q: Can we expect additional game modes? A: We promised, and we will deliver on it, that there will be historical multiplayer / singleplayer battles. They are basically maps with pre-defined balanced compositions of armies. Q: Will we eventually be able to trade with our allies? A: Yes. But again, stability of the game is our priority, all things come after it. Q: When will the next DLC come? A: 3rd one – in the middle of May; 4th one – In August. We have a roadmap for the Deluxe edition content, you can check it on the Cossacks 3 Steam store page. Q: You plan to change the economy of the game, or stone + market is the only way? A: We’ll change the economy, along with efficiency of mines and food gathering. There’s a chance we might change the way wood is gathered, but, in the end, stone as the only solution will go. It will become one of the possible ways to develop your economy, not THE way. It’s what we strive towards, it will be the next iteration of the balance, after the unit changes. Q: Will you improve the ranked system? Yes, we will improve it all the time. In the near future – we want to add a possibility choose various game options: 5000/10 PT, 5000/20 PT or 1000/0 PT. I think that 1000/0 is the most interesting way to play. Yes, we will improve the quality of the game so that you’ll be able to play against an equal foe. Right now we use 1 v 1 mode, but in the future we might bring the 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 options back, it may even change with seasons. But right now it’s essential for mode to gather enough player hours, so that people will be distributed among the ranks. Q: How often do you plan to steam? A: Either each week, or from patch to patch. If lucky, it will be each with, with a patch. Q: Which nations do you love the most? A: Love playing as Ukraine, and not because of the balance, but because… The last nerf was a very strong blow to the Ukraine, but it didn’t solve the problem after all, we plan on balancing the hetmans a bit more. Ukraine requires a scrupulous approach to the game from the play, to value each unit. This ‘greed’ needs a very high level of concentration, it suits me. Q: Are the any plans for mines updates? A: Yes, but they will come after the unit and economy rebalances. Q: Is it possible to bring resources with your peasants to your ally’s storehouse? A: That’s a nice idea, never thought about it. Q: by any chance, do you plan on implementing some sound alarms related to resource management in the game? A: I think it’s a good idea, we’ll make it. Q: You plan to implement a global rebalance? A: Yes, we are preparing a global rebalance, after which almost every unit will have a new set of stats. This balance is planned beforehand, with future units in mind (Scotland included). This (new) balance takes in account up to 60 new unit concepts we have in development.

Changes to ranked games + patch notes!


Dear friends! After thoroughly reading all your recommendations and ideas about improvement of the ranked mode in Cossacks 3, we made the necessary adjustments and numerous bug fixes to improve the overall quality of the mode. With the release bugs squashed, playing ranked both solo and with your friends is now a significantly better experience. We also have news for Mac and Linux users: the beta-testing will commence within a few days. We included the way to access the beta branches in the end of the patch notes. We thank Mark "Madgeek" Kandaurov for the screenshot. Patch Notes 31.03.17 (1.4.5.69.4993) General: 1. Reduced the amount of units sent to defend the buildings from 3 to 2. 2. Reduced the range at which units can capture buildings or defend them from being captured. 3. Now there's a mechanism that forces the game to continue after the re-host process is done, if some players failed to reconnect within 10 seconds after a new host has been found. 4. Removed the re-host process from finished sessions, when victors and losers are already decided. 5. The game has an anti-spam mechanism right now. 6. The resource nodes are now placed closer with more players on the map now. 7. Resource nodes are now placed more evenly across the map, making the start of the game more fair for all player. Errors: 1. Fixed an error that prevented the notifications about lack of resources for unit maintenance/construction of buildings and population slots from appearing on the players' screens. 2. Fixed an error, which allowed the player to make a foundation of a building, even if he lacked the necessary resources for its construction (it was impossible to finish the construction). 3. Fixed a number of errors, which prevented production of some units. Multiplayer: 1. Ranked games are now 1 v 1, they use the same map settings as before. This may change in the future, depending on the feedback from the community. 2. Changed the algorithm the game uses to define a host. Now the player with the most RAM is more likely to be chosen as a host. 3. Added a list of players queuing for a ranked match. 4. Added an icon that will appear near players that are queueing for a ranked match. 5. Added a timer that shows how much time has passed since you entered a ranked Queue. 6. Non-ranked games now count towards the amount of victories made by player. 7. The "Quick Play" button now displays the number of players queued for a ranked match. 8. Added counters of victories that are displayed next to the players' nicknames. 9. Fixed an error, when the game tried to add the player to an already started session. 10. Made some correction in the poit distribution formula. Now players will get even more points after winning against a more powerful opponent, while victory over opponents of lower rank will grant less points than before. Balance: Drummer 17c: - Reduced the defence upgrade bonuses from 20 to 12. Officer 17c: - Reduced the damage from 150 to 30. - Reduced the damage upgrade bonuses from 150 to 20. - Reduced the defence upgrade bonuses from 20 to 10. Officer 18c: - Reduced the damage from 150 to 50. - Reduced the damage upgrade bonuses from 150 to 100. Cannon: - Reduced the reload time of cannonballs from 14 seconds to 11 seconds the same way as in the original Cossacks) Players can now create formations with hired grenadiers and roundshiers as Ukraine, as it has no officers of its own. Exciting news for Mac and Linux users: The Linux and Mac versions shall enter an open beta phase of the game. Every Mac and Linux player will be able to launch the game on his/her system by following the steps bellow: 1. Go to your Steam library. 2. Right-click on Cossacks 3. 3. Select "Properties". 4. Select the "Betas" tab 5. Use "beta000multios" as a beta access code. 6. Now you can select an appropriate "Beta" from a drop-down menu above. 7. Now you can participate in the epic battles of 17th and 18th century Europe as well! Important! Due to nature of the Steam betas, Linux players will be able to play play only against players with the same version as them. So if you want to play against your friend who uses Windows, it's necessary for him to follow the steps above and switch to the "Linux beta" version as well.

The new ranked season has begun + Patch Notes!


Dear friends! Today even the most hardcore fans will be pleased, as with today's patch we're finally introducing the highly requested multiplayer functionality update: Absolutely new ranking system, abilities to quick search lobbies, ranking seasons and much more! The new update brings the game to a whole other level: now the ranked system will decide who's the ultimate Cossacks player that deserves to be at the very top. During 2 months of the first season, fight your way for the Emperor title and receive great rewards with it. The ""Quick Play"" option will be a steady companion that will greatly help the players in this task. As this is the first ranked season of the game, we would really appreciate your feedback on it. Ideas on improvement, suggestions about the ladder, opinion on the system - we would love to hear your thoughts on the ranked mode. We shall continuously make little tweaks to it, so that our community will be fully satisfied with the experience." TL;DR - “Quick Play” option is now available for ranked games; - Casual games don’t affect the ladder anymore; - There is no penalty for losing a ranked game (points won’t be deducted), no need abort matches; - The Ladder has been reset, the new season starts today; - We tweaked the ranking system, now the points are distributed in a different way, titles have increased requirements; - We’ve restarted the server, TOP100 players from the pre-season will receive rewards later. From now on the players can gain points and progress in the ladder either by playing ranked or casual matches. In this patch we added the missing elements of the ranked mode, fixed some crucial errors and revamped the balance of all gunners, i. e. musketeers and grenadiers. More details below! Multiplayer: 1. Hosts' ranks are now displayed in the shell's room list. 2. The ranked score is now displayed alongside their names in lobbies. 3. Players can now see their position in the ladder, even if they are not in the top 100. 4. Fixed an issue when a multiple players spawned at the same spot. 5. Fixed the ""uncontrollable"" units, that ignored orders and didn't receive any damage from enemy attacks. 6. Fixed an error when the session's season wasn't displayed correctly to all players in the room. 7. Fixed a bug, that caused huge lags on naval maps and resulted in desynchronizations. 8. Saxony and Bavaria - now available to everyone!


Dear friends! Starting from today, nations of Saxony and Bavaria are now available to every Cossacks 3 owner, regardless the edition. Each new nation brings exciting new things to the game: unique units, original soundtrack and marvels of its architecture. Make your enemies flee at the sight of your mighty German armies! The Steam Workshop, News about Mac Linux and New Patch!


Dear friends! We are thrilled to announce that from today Cossacks 3 fully supports the Steam Workshop functionality! As the library of mods for Cossacks 3 grows bigger by the day, we decided that there’s a dire need for a convenient place to store and share user created modifications. And what place is better than the Steam Workshop – a new part of our amazing community hub, where players can publish, organize and deliver their creations to every person playing Cossacks 3. We’ve also updated the game and our trusty Mod Manager, so now they are fully intertwined with the Workshop and provide the best possible service to our players. We also have some exciting news for Mac and Linux users: on 15th of March Cossacks 3 will finally become available on MacOS and Linux platforms! Venture forth onto the battlefields of the 17th-18th century Europe and enjoy the fully polished Cossacks experience with your friends, regardless of what platform you're using - the game supports crossplatform play and allows you to play against players across all platforms. As a bonus, every Mac & Linux user that purchases and logins into the game during the first two week after the release will receive an Early Bonus package, identical to the one given out during the Windows release. Here’s what you can expect with today’s update: Patch Notes 03.02.17 (1.3.1.61.4532) The Steam Workshop 1. Download content created by other players and tailor the game to your liking or share your own creations with the world; 2. Extended Mod Manager functionality: mod management has never been so easy! 3. Automatic synchronization: you can automatically synchronize and download required mods from within the game. The game now makes sure that everyone uses the same mods and version of C3. 4. Sessions with enabled mods are now marked with a special symbol in the multiplayer shell. New mechanics: 1. Units will now experience collision when they approach enemy troops. Each unit now has a radius that will prevent enemies from going through them. This severely affects the cavalry units, as they won't be able to pass through units and make diversions behind the lines. 2. Land units can now engage each other more easily. Changes to gameplay 1. The upgrades to firepower from the academy now recalculate after each unit's personal upgrade.     This remake of the classic game, that originally launched in 2000, contains all of the elements that distinguish the successful Cossacks games and combines them with contemporary 3D-graphics. Cossacks 3 provides the player with infinite tactical options, including not only the construction of buildings, the production of raw materials, but also the broad selection of various units and the influence of the landscape.

    Sixteen nations, 80 different unit types, 100 research opportunities, and over 180 different historical buildings are available to the player. Besides the battles ashore, players can build an armada and attack their enemies at sea. Cossacks 3 offers five historic single player-campaigns and up to eight players can fight each other in multiplayer-mode on one map. The player can forge alliances with or against others as well as challenge the computer. Randomly generated maps provide endless variations and can be adapted to the gamer’s needs.
