Greetings, dear Ghost Vigilantes!
We're gearing up for the release of The Coma 2B: Catacomb on Friday, and we couldn't be happier with all of the feedback, comments and nice words weve received about the demo so far. With all of your support, we were able to ensure The Coma 2B: Catacomb is the best it can possibly be, and we're incredibly proud of the hard work we put into the third installment in the Coma series.
We wanted to take the time to look at what the syllabus, the extracurricular activities, lunch menus and, of course, your lovely teachers and the other students have in store for you in Sehwa High from October 25! So, here you go:
Welcome to our seventh issue of "Inside The Coma"!
After escaping from The Coma, Youngho returns to school and, having forgotten about his horrifying experience, starts growing interested in girls, as adolescent boys do.
At Youngho's school, many girls who seem to be friends with him! Firstly, there's Mina from Class C. Mina is also the protagonist of The Coma 2, and a childhood friend of Youngho's from the same neighborhood who he's been close to for a long time. They're in different classes on different floors, so their interactions have become less frequent, but they still walk to school together.
Miyeong is a good student in her class, perhaps it's because she spends all her time studying. She takes her grades and achievements very seriously, studying at various tutoring academies until late at night. Although she is sometimes embarrassed by the boys who approach her, she is usually calm, intelligent, and even arrogant at times.
In Youngho's class is a girl from the United States, called Narsha. She is very outgoing, sociable, and good-looking, which makes her popular with many of the boys. She even seems to have potential as a K-pop idol, but considering that idol wannabes usually start training in middle school, it might be a little too late. Will she win Youngho's heart with her bright smile and affection?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVCWWsucS38
And we can't forget about Eunae! She's very gentle, introverted, and compassionate. She's always kind to Youngho. However, she doesn't handle the stress of school and her parents' high expectations very well. If you like her, you'll need to give her a little more courage and energy.
Who will win Youngho as a boyfriend? It's all about your choices and focus!
Oh, but one more thing: this is a horror game, and you should be aware that there will be enough elements to interrupt your love story.
Talk to you again really soon!

Welcome to our sixth issue of "Inside The Coma"!
Yaesol is a prominent enough character to be recognized as Dvora Studio's mascot. She is shrouded in mystery, and information such as her attire, age, and origins are all shrouded in secrecy.
This mysterious girl appeared in The Coma 1 with an aura of mystery, and throughout the game she revealed various information and saved the protagonist in times of crisis. In The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, she's back to help the other protagonist and guided her through her adventures.
In The Coma 2B: Catacomb, you'll hear more about her past. In this story, you'll meet a character from her past, and you'll also see the protagonist, Youngho, panicking. Of course, there will still be many mysteries left unanswered by her story, such as what she's been up to, so stay tuned to see what she does next!

Greetings, Ghost Vigilantes!
You have asked us several times, and now we can finally answer!
It's about time to announce the release date of The Coma 2B: Catacomb; and it's less than a month away! You can step back into the Coma with Youngho right in time for the spooky season on October 25:
[previewyoutube=WxRdy9BZOqU;full][RDA Trailer][/previewyoutube]
It is taking place between the first game in the Coma series, The Coma: Recut, and the second game The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, and will fill and explain some important and mysterious gaps between both games.
And believe me, there's a lot you don't know yet...
Talk to you again really soon!

Everything could be a spoiler!
But I will still give a brief introduction of Youngho, because this high school freshman is the protagonist of the last game, The Coma 1, as well as the protagonist of this game. To recap The Coma 1 without giving away any spoilers I'll just say this much: he's a student at Sehwa Private High School, and he's only been in high school for a few months. The Korean Education System usually enrolls new students in March and have their final exams around the end of June, so it's been about 3.5 months.
For some unforeseen reason, Youngho falls asleep during the exam (or maybe it's after?) and ends up in the mirror dimension "The Coma". There, he encounters monsters and ghosts ... and eventually has to escape the nightmare school, which is the story of The Coma 1, although a lot of it is left out ... He doesn't have any special powers, but his indomitable will and observation skills help him get through the crisis.
In this new game, we get to know Youngho's family history and background indirectly, which helps us understand how he has this personality and mindset. There are subtle differences between Youngho's personality in The Coma 1 and Youngho's personality in The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters. It can be said that he has grown a bit more, and the reason why is revealed in The Coma 2B: Catacomb. So, stay tuned!

Welcome to our third issue of "Inside The Coma"!
The Coma 2B: Catacomb is separate from the sequential flow of previous works. If The Coma 1 and 2 came out, shouldn't a third The Coma be coming out now? Not necessarily, because there are some important and mysterious gaps between the first and second that we want to fill.
The Coma 2B: Catacomb needs to be a bridge between the first game and second one, but it also needs to be a game for both newcomers to the world of The Coma who have only seen it on YouTube, and players who have enjoyed the first two games and are looking for a new instalment.
[quote] We're often asked why there is The Coma: Cutting Class and The Coma: Recut, and why The Coma: Cutting Glass is no longer available. The short answer is that The Coma: Recut is an enhanced version of the same game. In 2017, we began to work on porting the game to consoles. This gave us the opportunity to revisit the project by adding some new features, polishing the graphics, and refining elements of the story. It was later released with this rebranded title.
We gave the game a darker, more menacing tone. A large part of what makes The Coma an intriguing setting is the mystery that surrounds the Shadow Realm and the unexplainable phenomenon visitors may experience within. Since we had a chance to revise the graphics, we embraced an eldritch horror aesthetic to better frame the worlds sinister atmosphere. Its our love letter to H. P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos. Most importantly, it represents the actual game we wanted to deliver. [/quote]
The game brings back the protagonist from the first game, Youngho. As you'll know if you've played The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, the protagonist is a girl named Mina, who is neighbours and long-time friends with the protagonist of the first game. Their escape story is told in The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, but it was not from Youngho's perspective, so a lot of things are left unexplained.
The Coma 2B: Catacomb begins with both the normal and true ending of The Coma 1. Many people were curious about the true ending, which was included in the remastered version of The Coma 1. It was clear that Youngho had escaped from the world of The Coma! So it was the purpose of this game's introduction to deal with both different endings. The opening sequence is a bit old-school style, but if you remember your slow and boring high school life, you'll be able to spot the oddities.
Due to the chronological order, if you're wondering which game to play first between The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters and The Coma 2B: Catacomb, I'd recommend playing The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters first, as many of the things that you thought were disconnected or weird will be revealed in The Coma 2B: Catacomb. If you decide you want to play The Coma 2B: Catacomb first, feel free to do so; you'll be able to play The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters from an omniscient writer's perspective then.
Talk to you again really soon!

Welcome to our second issue of "Inside The Coma"!
This time it's about how The Coma series began almost 10 years ago.
Surprisingly, The Coma series is already on its third instalment. Surprisingly because back then I would never have dreamed what would come of our debut game. The Coma 1 has fairly classic graphics, but a lot of players love it for its own unique artwork and style, and many people still get a kick of playing it.
The beauty of this game series, and I'm a little embarrassed to say this as a director, is that many people have said that this "horror" game doesn't trigger unpleasant emotions and fears so much that it makes you stop playing, but rather draws you into the story, painting a picture of overcoming your fears and overcoming adversity to reach the ending.
At the end of the game, instead of thinking, "Wow, this game was really scary", the players think, "Wow, the story of the main character was interesting". This narrative is all the more interesting because it starts with an episode of an ordinary high school student in a unique and exotic culture.
As you follow the story of the main character, who may be living in a completely different culture, you gain information and knowledge that you didn't know before, and you endure the fear and experience the process with him.
The game isn't scary enough to appear in your dreams, but it does send players into a panic in some situations. The traps are easy to overcome, and the controls aren't difficult. But when the killer appears and chases you when you least expect it, you'll find yourself making mistakes that you shouldn't, and you'll be gasping for breath over and over again.
Why are you suffering so much for a trap that you could have easily avoided? The constantly dark environment and physically limited left and right field of view keep you on your toes, even though the game is 2D and has a third-person perspective. The game is nowhere near as good as the first and second instalments, but it's laying the groundwork for the series to expand a bit more.
The series is very interesting to me, and it has great potential because it combines the society I live in, my own past experiences, and the stories I hear from the current young generation. I don't know how many more great stories I can come up with, but I'm racking my brain.

Happy Friday, Ghost Vigilantes!
Before unleashing The Coma 2B. Catacomb later this year, we want to tell you more about the game with the "Inside The Coma" update series. But not only about the game, but also about us: Dvora Studio - the team behind titles like Vambrace, Scarlet Hood and - of course - The Coma.
Dvora Studio was founded on the 28th August 2015, but I spent one year working in cafes in order to make the first game in the Coma Series. The formal company name was Devespresso Games (Dev + Espresso Coffee), as this was what shaped the first few years of my indie game development life. I changed the name to Dvora Studio later on, because it was easier to remember.
Back then, we struggled to secure a programmer who could actually build the game. I'm a graphic artist with a bunch of cool stories, but I need to have someone who actually create the games with me. Those seats were taken by two programmer friends, who were later replaced by my cousin, and eventually filled with three indie game programmers now.
To create the narrative stories and events, I requested custom modules and DB forms to shape the visuals of the games by myself for Vambrace: Cold Soul, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, and Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood. It added a lot to my workload, but I think it was possible because I wasn't married with kids back then, because it was so rewarding to work day and night to get the game done and to share the story and the characters and the world with gamers.
T. L. Riven and KYNO have been a huge part of that journey. They've kept my imagination and inspiration flowing and helped me stay on track to keep making games. The stories that T. L. Riven has built on top of my ideas have been amazing and exciting, and he's gone on to do some amazing things as a game writer and is now a game producer for another company. KYNO is now a brand new game designer, designing and creating sophisticated and highly playable games.
Im grateful that the games we make have been described by many as having 'unique artwork, beautiful music, and immersive, detailed worlds', which has led to a lot of people who love and remember these game worlds (The Coma Series & Vambrace Saga), and it's a pleasure to work for them.
Now I'm married, and I'm a dad with two babies to look after. Obviously, I look at the world differently, I have a different sense of purpose, and making a game with those experiences adds a different depth than before. I want to continue to make games that people remember. I want to make games for as long as I have the energy.
There are currently six developers working at the company, including myself, and we're braving the unbearably hot Korean summer weather. I know a lot of people are surprised at how six people can produce two game projects, but it's actually happening. We have a lot of ideas in our heads, and we can't wait to show them off.
Talk to you again really soon!

Hi everybody,
Omg, I tested everything from yesterdays update 2.1.7 with my Xbox360 controller on Windows, and it happened anyway. Its really embarrassing when the players find issues while the dev cannot see the same situation...
The QA team is checking it and I will be back to you as soon as we got the hotfix. Until then, please play the game via a keyboard for a more solid experience.
Please excuse the inconvenience!
Cheers and take care!

Hi, Ghost Vigilantes,
This is Minho Kim from Devespresso Games. First of all, I feel sorry the controller issue which we've been late to fix. We are a very small team, and the patch was not ready to adjust onto the old game which we released in our debut. We have been making our new game project Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood fully from morning till night, so it was really hard to open the previous project.
The game's gamepad setting was weird, and the gamers who want to play the game with their gamepad should customize the controller setting to play the game for awhile. I sincerely sorry for that.
But we patched it now, eventually. steamhappy
The default gamepad is a Xbox controller, and - if I correctly setup - other gamepads would work, thank for the Steam opt setting option. Hopefully. If your controller is still working weird, please visit our Discord channel to notice us: https://discord.gg/tp4ECWem2M
Thanks for your patience, and love on our games!

Hello folks.
Exciting news! The Coma: Double Cut launched for the Nintendo Switch this month in Japan. Click the image for more information. And yes, this cartridge has both games in English!
So what's this have to do with the Steam version? Since Double Cut features both The Coma: Recut and The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters on a single cart we took the opportunity to implement some improvements to Recut. Weve already rolled out the patch, so heres a summary of what you can expect:
Following our work with The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, we decided to revisit the old game and see if we could apply some new changes to the game. This update contains the following:
- New environmental objects.
- Polished the edges of environmental graphics.
- Re-organized the North Building for playability.
- Fixed some broken path-move coordinates.
- Dark Song's Level 3 portrait was fixed.
- Projector screen animation was changed.
- Y.S.'s hint (arrows) are much more visible.
- Dark Song's patrol waypoints were fixed. (Main & North)
- The Dialogue Chat Icon was changed.
- The Water Bottle boosts stamina recovery more. (It was increased from about 45% to 75%)
- Opening icon and main screen default BG was changed.
- A few bonus images were updated. (Especially the school uniform)
- File asset sizes were reduced.
- Vending Machine now sells Devespresso Coffee with a fixed price.
- Korean Localization Correction (to sync with The Coma 2).
An English language patch will be coming soon as well.
In the meantime, make sure to click the picture above and join our awesome community! It's growing every day and we have language channels for everybody!
Howdy Folks!
'The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters' (Version 0.2.5) is officially here! We hope you're as excited to jump into the next 3 chapters of the game as we are to share them. In addition to that content, we've also done extensive QOL work on the first 3 chapters and the game as a whole. We were able to accomplish this with the community's invaluable feedback. Please continue to share your opinions or any bugs you find through Discord [www.discord.gg/devespresso] or right here on the Steam Discussion boards.
We have done multiple playthroughs where we don't encounter any significant issues. We still stumble across the odd bug or typo here and there though. Remember, the game is still in Early Access until January. So, you can expect to encounter a few hiccups. If you do, please report it and we'll patch it right away. IF you do encounter an issue, it will probably fall into one of these categories:
Halloween may be over, but that doesn't mean the scares have to end. Devespresso Games takes its first leap into Early Access with The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters. But this won't be your typical Early Access experience. We've got some goodies in store for players who want to jump into the Coma experience before the game's "full" launch in January.
What do you get? First of all, the game is going to have a pretty good discount at $11.99. The full price is set for $14.99 in January. Second, you'll get a free art book and the original soundtrack (a combined value of $7.99). That's more good news than you can shake a stick at!
So, what's the catch? Today we're launching the first 3 "episodes" of the game. You can see the full Early Access roadmap here:
That means you won't be able to do a full playthrough today. But, we've slated the next update for the 28th of this month. We're staggering portions of the game so that we can respond to community feedback well. This gives us a chance to focus on and enhance specific areas of the game experience!
Join us now and please make sure to jump into our Discord community to share any and all feedback you may have!

Check out the trailer here.
Hey, folks! We're super excited to unveil the launch of Devespresso's official Discord server. Yes, we know we're late to the party...but better late than never, right?
Join us here!
So, let's talk about some of the exciting stuff you can expect in the community!
First off, we want the Devespresso Discord to be a place where you can just relax and chat. We're still in the early stages of establishing things, so your opinions can have a big impact on how we establish the community and its roles.
In addition, we've crafted an exclusive set of sweet Vambrace and Coma emoji just for our channels. Take a gander at this very small sampling of what's on offer!
The team is also super active on Discord, so it's also a good opportunity to speak directly to us, ask questions, or just talk about the game with other like-minded players.

1. Hold-Your-Breath Bug Patch:
After watching a few streams, we realized there is some kinda bug that immobilizes the player and drains your SP. This happens when you use the interact button rapidly right after holding your breath. We added a small delay right after the breath holding action to address this issue. ːhideː
2. Japanese language patch:
When you have a full backpack and try to buy items from a vending machine, Youngho says "Spanish!" instead of "My bag is full..." So, we taught him how to speak properly. ːwhiteheartː
3. Controller Tutorials:
Have you ever used a XB1 controller with this game? Some control settings are slightly different from the tutorial images, so we also fixed that. ːfocusedː
4. Removed scream detection signal:
When it comes to the console version, it's quite difficult to figure out which direction the killer is coming from. Since most console gamers will be playing the game in front of big screen like TV. But when you are playing in front of your PC or Mac, you’ll probably be using a headset to feel this game. The shouting sound is stereo, so if you listen carefully, you’ll know which direction she’s coming from, even without the UI. ːhideː

Hey horror fans – class is now in session! By which I mean, The Coma: Recut has launched and is now available to purchase either right here on Steam or, if you prefer, over at GOG . (It also arrived this week on PS4 and Xbox One, so if you're a console guy/gal just lurking around these parts, then you're catered for as well.)
Of course, as we previously announced, if you own the original game – The Coma: Cutting Class – you'll be able to enjoy The Coma: Recut for no charge. You'll get it on Steam for free. You pay no money. It's 100% gratis. Nothing scary about that.
Anyway, whether you're a return visitor to the creepy corridors of Sehwa High or a fearless first timer, we hope your experience with The Coma: Recut is a thrilling/terrifying one.

Hey everyone
As per the headline, we want to let folks know that if you own the original game you'll be able to get the 'recut' version for free.
So if you enjoyed Cutting Class and fancy giving Recut a look when it's released, you'll be able to do that at your leisure and without spending any cashola.
Thanks,
