The demo includes the tutorial and the Courtyard the first room from the Draculas Castle level. It shows the new direction were taking with the sequel: more atmospheric, more detailed, and bigger in scale. The tone is darker and more mysterious, but its not a horror game its about immersion, exploration, and clever puzzles.
Play solo or in co-op with up to 8 players. Drop-in multiplayer is now supported, so your friends can join or leave without restarting the session. Theres also auto-saving, meaning progress is saved as you go no need to finish everything in one sitting.
This is an early alpha version, so you may encounter bugs or performance issues. Thank you for your understanding were working hard to improve every aspect of the game.

A brand new Steampunk DLC pack is coming to Escape Simulator next month! In this DLC pack, you will find yourself on the beautiful steampunk airship Valor. This airship is filled with tricky puzzles that will surely put your wits to the test. Youll have to make your way through four brand new rooms featuring all kinds of curious machines.
Your adventure begins in your quarters, when you are suddenly awoken by an explosion on the lower decks. In order to prevent a disastrous event, you will need to repair your airship and make your way to the helm room. Will you be able to make it there in time to regain control of your ship?
The Steampunk DLC will be available on the 6th of June for only $4,99/ 4,99! In addition to the new rooms, it also features an exclusive steampunk skin for your character to wear. The estimated runtime for the DLC is around four hours, which means the size of each room is quite a bit larger than all of the rooms that are currently available. Please note that the rooms included in this DLC will only be playable online with players who also own the DLC.

The first Build-a-Room competition is finished! We had to pick between 193 rooms, and there were so many interesting and creative ones. It was fun to play all of them, but the decision was really hard. In the end, it was up to the details. This Friday, we had a live stream where Tom and Jura played the top 10 rooms and announced the winners. Time for a huge update!
We have news to share about the "Build a Room Competition". We're extending the deadline for room submissions until Sunday, October 31st 11:59 pm CET. The first reason for changing the date is that some players have had issues uploading rooms to Workshop. Steam team updated a configuration on the backend, and those issues should now be fixed. The secondary reason is that we updated the game quite a bit since launch, which resulted in more assets and editor features. Today (Edit: Tomorrow!) we're launching one final feature update for this week. And finally, we checked with the Discord community, and overwhelmingly the vote was towards extending the deadline. Next, let's talk a little bit more in detail about how the competition will be judged. We've received over 100 submissions so far. And that's insane! We can't wait to play all the rooms. After the deadline, the rooms will be played in a randomized order by multiple groups in our studio. A week ago, we released Escape Simulator, and it was by far our best release! More than 50 000 players played it in the first week! (Well, 250 thousand if we count the pirates )
This success will help us invest more time in polishing the game and adding more content.
We'd like to take the time to thank everyone for their support and involvement in Escape Simulator community. Since launch, we have been following your feedback closely, and it has been immensely helpful for our team. Even if we haven't been able to respond to everyone, we can assure you that we keep a close eye on the community discussions and will continue to do so.
Since the launch, we deployed two updates with more than 200 fixes for the game. We are releasing one more update with various fixes and the first room from the "Omega Corp." series this week. We are also preparing something special for this Halloween season, but more on that later.

Hi everyone, It was a busy weekend for the Pine team! We prepared and tested a new update with more than 140 fixes for the game and the room editor. The update is now live, and you can check the full changelog below.
First of all, thanks to everyone who got the game! You rock!! This was an incredible launch for Pine, and the game is already a big success for us. We are working hard on fixing bugs and trying to make sure everyone has the best experience. Yesterday we published the first bug-fix build, and the next bug-fix was just launched! If you find an issue, get in touch via forums or Discord. What's next for the game?

Dr. Edgewood is a renowned psychiatrist, hypnotherapist, and surgeon who was always fascinated with the occult. You were invited to attend a special dinner with him at his mansion. But instead of eating great food, you'll be solving a victorian mystery.
Edgewood Mannor is the first room pack in Escape Simulator. Rooms in a pack are set in theme and follow the same underlying storyline. In this pack, you'll go through 5 rooms in a Victorian mansion: The Clinic, The Library, The Attic, Seance Room, and The Laboratory.
When we first started working on the game in 2019, we started making a detective noir room.
2019 - Prototype
With the prototype, we tested if we liked interactions and how the co-op would work. We thought it was fun and that we had to make this game :)
Since the gameplay looked good, we decided that it was time to work on the graphics too. While doing that, the noir theme morphed into a victorian theme. Our main goal was to make a beautiful escape room game, and this is what we ended up in 2020:
2020 - Vertical Slice
Even though it's much closer to how the game looks now, we still weren't happy with it. The style wasn't consistent, single objects looked good, but when put together, they were missing something. After endless iterations, this has finally led us to the final look for the first room:

Fun news today - it's time for the first gameplay video for Escape Simulator. This time it's the first room in the "Labyrinth of Egypt" pack. The video shows of the controls and how you interact in the world. In this case the movement is WASD & mouse, at certain moments you get control the mouse fully when interacting with item in examine mode, or when you're using the item in the scene.
