Introduction

My Entry for the GMTK Jam 2020. The Theme is "Out of Control".

I had some trouble finding any good Ideas for this Theme for a while and pretty much wasted the first 24 hours searching for ideas on what kind of game I could make. I was trying to find a way of taking the player's control away from some aspect of the game completely.

But while I was watching a few GMTK Videos on Youtube for inspiration (specifically the "Controllers Control Everything" Episode), I got the idea that I don't need to take the control away completely. I could just take a small bit by making the controls unorthodox and add some enemies that wrestle the player for control of the character.

And that's how "Curse of the Cursor" was born.

The Game

At first "Curse of the Cursor" seems like a normal platformer title. But what you will find in the depths of the Cursed Cursor Temple will bring a new kind of challenge.

Can you beat the odds and reach the sacred treasure chamber?

Sadly no Web playable Version since the crucial function of moving the mouse around doesn't work in web. :(
