UI/UX - Added a warning that appears when the game has not closed properly in the previous session, advising the player to check the autosaves. - Autosaves in the Recent Projects list now display how long ago they were created. - The Ink Switch Menu now also closes when an ink is right-clicked. - The Mouse Interaction Mode and the Target Simulation Speed are now saved with the project. Fixes - Fixed undo history of some text boxes (such as the assembly and notes editors) not being reset when loading a different project. Also, fixed cases where placeholder text was included at the start of the history. - Fixed File Dialog sometimes having the name of the previously opened/saved project pre-filled in the file name textbox. - Fixed autosaving system not always initiating the save rotation (when the game has just been opened) from the oldest autosave found. - Fixed Target Simulation Speed sometimes changing when switching from the spinbox to the slider widget.

Hi everyone, today I have important news about Virtual Circuit Boards development.
I would like to begin by announcing that the long awaited and highly requested Blueprint Library is now live in the beta branch! With this feature, it is finally possible to conveniently build an easily accessible collection of your circuits, complete with titles, descriptions, and tags. If you are not familiar with the beta branch, you can read more about it in this topic.
The introduction of the Blueprint Library marks a major milestone in VCB's development. It not only improves the process of saving and reusing circuits, but also completes the set of features that I considered essential for the game to provide a fulfilling experience. As a result, Im glad to announce that Virtual Circuit Board will soon be released out of Early Access.
Before we get into what the move to version 1.0 means for VCB's future, I want to thank you, the VCB community, for all the feedback and support during the Early Access stage. When I started this little project of developing a circuit simulator nearly three years ago, I couldn't have imagined it would grow into something that others would find enjoyable to play, even in its Early Access form. Your support and enthusiasm have made this journey incredible.
Developing VCB has been an amazing experience, although as we approach the 1.0 release, I find myself contemplating my next steps. My passion for the project remains strong, but I've been immersed in the topic of circuit simulation for a while now, and I believe its time to begin moving on. For that reason, starting from the 1.0 release, I'll be maintaining VCB with only minor QoL improvements and bug fixes. This shift in development ensures that I can continue supporting the game in the long run without risking being overwhelmed.
I'd like to apologize if any of the features you've suggested didn't make it into the final version, or if any aspect of the game didn't receive as much attention as you had hoped. Once again, I want to thank you for the valuable feedback you shared throughout the Early Access period.
The Blueprint Library will be available in the beta branch for a few weeks before making it onto the main branch.
Virtual Circuit Board will be released as version 1.0 in early October.
The 0.4 update is live introducing a VMem Editor panel, the ability to tile selections, support for assembly macros, and more! Check out the highlights and full list of changes below.

Fixed error message "39H" appearing for some players whenever settings or shortcuts were changed.
Hi everyone! It has been only a week since VCB was released in Early Access but I wanted to say that I am amazed by all the incredible things that you players have already built and shared with the community! I'm currently dealing with the legal/business side of indie development in my country but I'm looking forward to starting improving VCB based on your feedback once I'm done with the paperwork. I'll begin by introducing the most requested feature so far: the toggleable overlay of symbols over inks to improve accessibility. Followed by an UI rework to prepare VCB for upcoming features, with some minor bugfixes and quality of life improvements in between. Further changes and features will be looked into after the UI rework is completed. Thanks everyone for supporting Virtual Circuit Board on its first days of Early Access!
Fixed a security issue in project loading (found by Alexandra Julia Tilch).
It has been a long journey since I started working on Virtual Circuit Board. There were several times during development that I almost gave up on it after losing motivation (like I did with every project that came before it) but I'm glad I kept working on it because I'm very happy about what VCB has become. I'm glad to announce that after more than a year and a half of development Virtual Circuit Board is now available in Early Access! I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of circuits you all are going to be building in VCB!
I'm glad to announce that Virtual Circuit Board is going to be released in Early Access in 2 weeks from now, on the 20th. This announcement may have come sooner than you were anticipating, but in the last two weeks of beta testing (the first was unannounced) I had the opportunity to read the first impressions of the community and to keep working on improving VCB based on the feedback that I've gathered so far. And now Virtual Circuit Board has reached a point where it is ready for the entire community to start having fun with it while I keep developing the game based on your feedback and suggestions! If you signed up to playtest VCB there might still be a chance of you being selected in the next days. After this last round of invites the beta will continue up until the launch week. Virtual Circuit Board will be priced within the range of the other games in the circuit simulation genre currently available on Steam, and it will have a launch discount. I can't wait to see the circuits that you all are going to build when the game becomes available!
Hi everyone! Virtual Circuit Board has recently reached a stage of development where I think it's ready for the community to start getting hands-on access to the game through a beta-testing run. This is a very important phase of VCB's development and I count on your feedback and suggestions to help me in continuously improving the game so it can make a smooth Early Access launch this year. Beta will last a few weeks and starting today I'll be selecting players participating in our Discord community to playtest VCB, so if you havent joined our server yet, nows a perfect time! I can't wait to read your first impressions of Virtual Circuit Board!
