Entwined Time was released on itch.io 11th April 2024, after 13 months of development, and on Steam later that year. Ever since I got struck by divine inspiration while waiting at the bus stop I couldn't stop thinking about every little detail of this idea I wanted to explore and show to the world, and I've been so lucky to have attracted playtesters and post-release fans who have created their own puzzles and pushed the existing ones to their limits, helping refine the game into what it is today. That someone else cares about my ridiculous ideas as much as I do means the world to me. Thank you!
To celebrate one year of Entwining, we release Chapter E - Terraforming, all about tiles that destroy/hide other tiles. You'll learn more about Floorboards and discover Phaseboards, Glass Screws and Bombs. This is likely to not be the last post-game chapter that will be made. Enjoy!
**v19.0 (14th April 2025):**
Swapper, by Slabdrill, in Community Levels - a one dimensional Ghost Fog puzzle!
[olist]
Spaghettification, an Entwined Time custom puzzle by Green. Can you get Heavy and Light to merge in the center of a 2G singularity without exploding?
The new Pushing It. Too heavy handed or just right? You be the judge.
So Broken [VAR1], in Green's World in Community's Level. This is possible??
('Dirt', from the new WIP Chapter E.)
(Doormaster, in Community Levels, a Bomb tutorial puzzle)
(Christmas Tree by Sandra)
I uploaded the wrong zips for the Steam build last night, then went to bed, and only checked in the morning. My bad. I'll be more careful in the future.
Changes mostly derived from Mikan Hako's Let's Play ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmteJC6m6fh-Jzcyhn3VxsZyMMPCGzqvP ) and additional feedback from Slabdrill. Thank you very much!
(These are not all the changes I want to make, I am still going through Mikan Hako's LP and Slabdrill's suggestions. Advanced and post-game puzzle changes will come in the next update.)
Heavy and Light are maintenance robots working onboard the Chrono Station, a fantastical installation in low orbit that takes time from where it's needed and transfers it to where it's needed.
Tragically, the station has suffered from chronic understaffing - so when one day the Chrono Helix catastrophically fails, they're the only robots available to deal with the crisis. Flung to the edge of the Chrono Station, they find that the Chrono Station has been blown into hundreds of puzzles, containing increasingly exotic matter the closer you get to the Reactor Lab - and that their timelines have been isolated from one another. They can now move and rewind independently, and learning every consequence and nuance of this will be necessary to make it back in time and fix things before they get worse.
A turn based, tile based thinky puzzle game. No dexterity elements or hidden information - Build a mental model of how the game works to succeed.
A two time manipulation puzzle game. Heavy and Light have their own timeline which can independently record and rewind actions, allowing you to get into and out of situations that would be impossible if there were only one Undo button.
Hundreds of puzzles across 12+ chapters, each one introducing new elements, from being able to break and come back to life to exotic matter that alters the very concept of rewinding itself.
Copy, paste and scrub through replays, so you'll never go 'wait, I forgot how I did that' again.
Gain Insight mode. Stuck? Check out a puzzle that's an easier or remixed version - you still have to solve it yourself, and you might gain the necessary insight in the process.
Advanced and post-game puzzles, for those ready to master space-time itself.
A level editor and Community Puzzles tab. Hundreds of custom puzzles made by fans, and if you come up with something I haven't seen before, it can be included in the game!
