Patch 1.2.4

Fixed a somewhat random crash/freeze that happened I guess with some specific combination of own/enemy crew members. It completely locked out from progressing while moving to a new battle or event. Also fixed a bug where keyboard toggled mute didn't appear on the menu at all and another where ending clam boss fight didn't always reset the font back to normal. And finally, not a bug but also spiced up the birds animations a bit to make them more lively.

Patch 1.2.3

A few more minor bug fixes... Fixed an issue where the Skeleton Bard crew member could affect its own level. It was gaining an extra perk even when not yet upgraded, but this wasnt reflected in the tooltip. Fixed a visual glitch affecting Handler and Tinkerer when they were equipped with a sword. This happened after the event where you pick one of two crew members, and the next enemy receives the other. Slightly nerfed the enemy Mate and Cabin Boy crew members when encountered early on (due to the same crew-picking event). The amount of cargo they provide now scales down based on how early in the game the encounter occurs. Addressed a potential soft lock caused by the Rewind Pearl event, which could lead to the next enemy encounter having no cargo at all. This could cause issues, such as the Spy being sent to steal from a ship with nothing to take. Now, it should be impossible for enemies to have no cargo at all, preventing this issue.

Patch 1.2.2

Here are even more bug fixes on top of the previous big patch. Some small adjustments were made that don't affect gameplay muchlike unifying trinket names to fix inconsistencies and adjusting the colors of fish/rigged cargo when plated or spiced. Also, the Figurehead crew member had a habit of "waking up" unexpectedlythats now fixed. A potential crash/freeze could occur when encountering a crew change event with an over-leveled crew member. The game attempted to match the opponents crew to the same level but wasnt allowing it properly. Thats now been resolved. Stealing the only cargo from the Clam Boss is no longer possible. The effect was simply too powerful, completely nullifying an intended endgame challenge. Additionally, the same trinket was triggering on parrots dealing damage. While that didnt impact gameplay much, its now fixed. Speaking of parrots, they were incorrectly duplicating when their handler visited the opponents ship and returnedthats also been patched. The Trinketinator can no longer be triggered multiple times before resolving, preventing an exploit where you could farm infinite trinkets for a single lost crew member. A small visual glitch when selecting Trinketinator targets has also been fixed. The Spy upgrade was sometimes wasted when you had Figurehead, since Figurehead is always upgraded and couldn't be improved further. Now, the spying choice occurs after parrots have attacked, preventing errors where youd attempt to spy on a ship that no longer exists or get stuck inside a sinking ship. Finally, Divine Being battles have been tweaked to better account for the player's possible damage rolls. The difficulty still increases with more available options, but now there should be fewer unwinnable scenarios.

Patch 1.2.1

What's a patch without the need for a small day-one fix on top of it? This update addresses three major issues introduced in the previous patch. For those unaware, there's a new boss(-ish) battle where the enemy has a big plated die that can be repaired. That was all fineexcept for one problem: there was a limit preventing cargo dice from being repaired past a value of 9. This restriction still applied during the boss fight, even if the die originally had a value higher than 9, severely lowering its max HP. This has now been fixed. Next, let's talk about Spys sabotage ability. Spy can rig cargo dice, causing them to deal splash damage to nearby cargo when shot. However, I didnt account for two rigged dice being next to each otherleading to an infinite damage loop that could pretty much crash the game. Now, rigged dice no longer take splash damage, preventing the chaos. Finally, there was a bit of an oopsie with divine battles sometimes failing to end properly, which could soft-lock your run. That shouldnt happen anymore. Even if you "lose" the challenge, youll still be able to leavethough slightly worse for wear.

Patch 1.2.0

Finally, it's time to push this patch out! Its the biggest one yetthough maybe not as big as one might expect, considering how long it took. I made the slight mistake of diving into the Terraria Calamity mod and Valheim while working on this update, and, unsurprisingly, they ended up being massive time sinks. Still, the patch is now complete enough for releasejust in time before my next distraction drops on Friday. This update brings quite a lot of new content. Most of it comes in the form of new event types, adding even more variety to each run. The endgame has also seen some major changesevents will continue happening post-end, but enemies will grow significantly tougher. Some events are even exclusive to the late game, offering major challenges to tackle. May I introduce our two newest crew members: Handy, the parrot handler, and Spy, the... well, spy.
Handy provides you with some flying friends who help dish out extra damage in battles. Spy, on the other hand, can be sent on sabotage and investigation missions aboard enemy ships. Beyond these two new crew types, every existing crew member now has two new variations, each with a little extra twistsimilar to the frog variants.
As I mentioned earlier, there are plenty of new events in this patch. I wont spoil them all, so get out there and discover them for yourself! Of course, theres also a handful of new trinkets to find.
And what would a patch be without a bunch of bug fixes and balance changes? Naturally, some new bugs will come along for the ride, so please let me know if (or rather, when) you find them!

You're finally fed up with your fleet and their incompetence. Take down all 13 of them one by one and claim your spot at the top. Along the way, you'll discover precious cargo dice that represent your ship's vitality and firepower. You may also encounter friendly merchants, carpenters, and potential crew members eager to join and assist you on your journey.

Your ship's cargo consists of dice, and their total pip values represent your ship's total HP. These dice also influence the number of damage dice you roll in combat. Be careful not to let your cargo's total value reach the dreaded number, as even rolling that in combat can have unfavorable consequences.
