Basis fr die Entwicklung ist der aktuelle Stand 1.36 von Schicksalsklinge HD. Es gibt auch bereits eine neue Website unter http://www.sternenschweif.com zu bewundern, dort wird auch einen Entwicklerblog fr alle Interessierten gefhrt. Writing these lines has been an urge I had to resist for quite some time now, but today it is finally possible: Crafty Studios have found an agreement with UIG for the development of Realms of Arkania Startrail HD, official work on it has already been restartet. We will use the current Version 1.36 of Blade of Destiny as the Base for Development. There is also a new website at http://www.sternenschweif.com along with a development blog, currently in german only. Wir prsentieren heute einen neuen Patch und haben damit weitere kleine Bugfixes durchgefhrt, weitere Features eingebaut und vor allem die Modability verbessert. Einige Highlights:

  • Diverse Monster haben Immunitten und Verwundbarkeiten erhalten - Mumie + Hylailer Feuer = Swooosch, Heshthot + Gift = haha
  • Diverse Zauber enden jetzt korrekt bei "Fehlverhalten" (zaubernde Charaktere knnen doch wohl nicht "harmlos" sein)
  • Bestehende Dungeons knnen als Mod "kopiert" und mit neuen Inhalten befllt werden
  • Viele kleine Fehler, von schwebenden Bnken bis zu doppelten Automap-Icons, korrigiert

Zuerst einmal möchte ich für die lange Wartezeit auf den vorliegenden Build 13 von Oil Enterprise um Entschuldigung bitten, nicht zuletzt durch das positive Feedback aus der Community sind wir zuversichtlich, dass unser Spiel bald den "Releasefähigen Zustand" erreicht haben wird, und sind daher schon in den Vorbereitungen dafür. Wir haben es aber nun geschafft, den Mehrspielermodus vom "definitiven Plan" zum "eingebauten Feature" zu machen, und werden dies mit dem heutigen Update auch auf unserer Shopseite ausweisen: Oil Enterprise ist jetzt ein Mehrspielerfähiges Spiel! Das sieht man auch in den Update-Notizen:

  • Die Auswahl des zu bauenden Gebäudes ist jetzt erheblich hübscher
  • Die Hardwareanforderungen wurden durch diverse Maßnahmen bei der Ölfelddarstellung deutlich reduziert
  • "Nachrichtenwarteschlange": Wichtige Nachrichten erscheinen jetzt der Reihe nach, wenn zB mehrere Verträge gleichzeitig abbrechen, wird für jeden Vertrag eine entsprechende Meldung gezeigt, bisher nur für einen davon
  • Freies Spiel / Mehrspieler: "Auslaufende Reserve"-Punkt in den Punkt "Vorkommensgröße" integriert, heißt jetzt "Vorkommensgröße: unendlich"
  • Mehrspieler: Beim Spielstart kann der Host jetzt Ziele und Ausgangsbedingungen definieren
  • Mehrspieler: Der Host kann jetzt in der Lobby einzelne Spieler aus dem Spiel entfernen
  • Mehrspieler: Doppelte Namen werden bei der Serververbindung verhindert
  • Mehrspieler: Spielende wurde umgesetzt ("Einziger überlebender Spieler", "Alle Ziele als erster Erreicht" usw)
  • Mehrspieler: Regionale und globale Ereignisse treten jetzt synchron überall auf, nur lokale Ereignisse werden nach wie vor von den einzelnen Spielern ausgelöst
  • Mehrspieler: Das Annehmen und Beenden von Verträgen funktioniert nun auch auf Clients korrekt
  • Mehrspieler: Diverse Fehler bei Betreten / Verlassen / Neustart des Mehrspieler korrigiert
  • Mehrspieler: Startpositionen anderer Spieler erscheinen nach Auswahl auf der Weltkarte
  • Mehrspieler: Der Host kann eine maximale Spieleranzahl festlegen
  • Die Mac-Version war durch einen Unity-Bug nicht startfähig, ist es aber nun wieder
  • Hindernisse entfernen funktioniert wieder


Als nächstes werden wir noch den Aktienmarkt im Mehrspieler einbauen, sowie einige "Bequemlichkeitsfeatures", Feedback ist hier aber natürlich herzlichst willkommen!

Dear Bosses!

First of all I want to apologize for the long time you had to wait for this Build 13 of Oil Enterprise, the feedback we are receiving makes us confident that our game will soon reach "release-ready state", which we are preparing in parallel. We also made it to get the multiplayer mode from a "definitive plan" to an "implemented feature", and will announce so on our shop page as well: Oil Enterprise is now officially multiplayer enabled! This also reflects in our update notes:
  • Choosing a building to construct has become a lot more beautiful
  • Hardware requirements for displaying well-filled oilfields have been reduced significantly
  • "Message queue": Important messages now appear one after another, e.g. when several contracts fail at once, every contract now shows a separate message, so far only one did
  • Free Game / Multiplayer: "Ending reserves"-Feature integrated into "Deposit size", it is now called "Deposit size: infinite"
  • Multiplayer: The host can now define starting conditions and goals
  • Multiplayer: The host can now kick players from the lobby
  • Multiplayer: Duplicate names are now prevented
  • Multiplayer: Gameover implemented ("Sole survivor", "All goals achieved first" and so on)
  • Multiplayer: Regional and global Events are now synchronized across the game, only local events remain executed by one player only
  • Multiplayer: Accepting and fulfilling contracts now works correctly even for clients
  • Multiplayer: Several bugs on entering / leaving / restarting Multiplayer fixed
  • Multiplayer: Starting positions of other players show up on the world map
  • Multiplayer: The host can set a maximum number of players that may join
  • The Mac build was broken due to a Unity bug, but works again
    Coming up next we will implement multiplayer
  • Removing obstacles works again

After months of development and just in time prior to the 2 year anniversary of the Blade of Destiny release, Crafty Studios and the Beta Team of BoD HD are proud to present Patch 1.35, consisting of more than 300 changes, additions, modability extensions and fixes. Detailed patchnotes can be found in our official forum at Patchnotes 1.35. Just some highlights:
Content changes and extensions

  • Castle Felsteyn: Mod of Viana included as Event
  • In Thorwal there is now the building "The Black Finger"
  • You can now sell books in the Thorwal Mage Academy
  • New event "Revenge of Ottaskin"
  • New event in Phexcaer: Nancy's Note of Validor the villain
  • Random city event "A pickpocket"
  • Random city event "A Carriage"
  • Random city event "A shooting star"
  • Random city event "A beggar" extended
  • 8 new events for resting at an inn
  • 6 new events during outdoor camps
  • 4 additional random battles after camps

New and updated Features

  • User Interface is now scalable (e.g. for 4K resolutions)
  • The console now logs experience points
  • Console messages are in different colors
  • Battle Avatar look improved (rimshader removed, specularity reduced)
  • The spell "Solidirid" can now be used in the game
  • The group now shares its food and water reserves
  • The Spider demon is now a significantly bigger avatar in battle to diversify from the lesser spiders

    Delve deeper into the mystical lore of the Northland with 3 new heroic questlines in “For the Gods” the first DLC for Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny.

    First, you’ve been entrusted by a nobleman from Clanegh with the difficult task of transforming the paramour of a Thorwalian leader’s daughter into a worthy suitor. But father and daughter do not always see eye-to-eye. May Rahja, the Goddess of Love, be with you, because this quest is not going to be a cakewalk.

    Next, when a villager goes missing, those that remain speak of strange phenomena haunting their fields and scaring their animals. These unnerved villagers look to you for help and point towards Orkhun, the ancestral dwelling of the Baerhag Clan which had been left to decay centuries ago. Perhaps there is more to these mysterious happenings than a run of the mill ghost story?

    • Opening Hours for Traders fixed (for now daily 7 am to 8 pm, with Option to adapt per Town and per Trader)
    • Fixed Spell Rust Iron
    • Signs for special buildings in Liksor and Thorwal fixed
    • Minimaps fixed: Abandoned hostel, Ljasdahl, Rovik
    • Fixed Companion Times (preventing them to leave after 2-3 towns)
    • Made Camerasweep optional (Settings -> Graphics) in case crashes started to happen when entering towns
    • Fixed Load Game bug under certain circumstances
    • Prevented retriggering of secret door trigger even when it is already opened
    • Activated Spell “End Transformations” to be able to heal “petrified”
    • Deadship only triggers once every 7 days, or not at all if already completed
    • Dead Companions don’t say goodbye any more
