Lets talk about Awesomenauts, We want to take a moment to address the current state of the game and share some exciting news about our efforts to bring Awesomenauts back to the players. While we havent shared much publicly until now, weve been working hard behind the scenes ever since Atari acquired the game last October. Our mission at Atari is to preserve and celebrate the games players love, and Awesomenauts is no exception. When we took over from Ronimo, the game was not in a sustainable stateboth operationally and economically. Quite simply the game costs far more to support than it made in revenue because of the way it was engineered and hosted. We've dedicated some time and money into re-engineering the backend services so that the game can be operated cost effectively. We're excited to say that we believe were close to a solution. Although theres more work to be done, we want to share our current roadmap with you:
Nutty Nauts has returned with its 6th Awesomenauts Tournament! Hosted by ryan2ms and nopete.
Two NEW maps will make their debut! The original three competitive maps will be integrated with reworked versions of AI Station 205 and Starstorm, made by ryan2ms. It will also use the new four-ban drafting format. Group stage is on August 26th and the Bracket will play on the weekend of September 2nd. Hope to see you all there.
Join the discord here.
Hope everyone has had a good year and enjoying the holiday period! A new Nauts season will begin at around 15:00 CET on Thursday 22nd December.
Expect to be matched with mixed skill levels in the first few days. Newer players who have played fewer than 100 games will automatically get a reduced rating so higher-ranked players are avoided. All other players will be reset to a rating of 10,000.
This reset only influences your leaderboard ranking. Youll keep any character and account progress youve made.
Good luck in your games and happy holidays!
The Awesomenauts Arena League is returning for a 3rd iteration! The tournament will consist of group stage qualifiers taking place on the weekend of November 5th and 6th. Teams that advance to the playoffs will play in a double elimination format on the weekend of November 12th and 13th.
Every participant will receive an Awesomenauts skin or announcer of their choice, with the options pool increasing the deeper your team makes it in the tournament. Players in teams that place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be rewarded the appropriate in-game Rumble Medal, while the 1st place team can choose between the Lens Flare Cat Medal or the Gold Rumble Medal.
In light of recent issues in Nauts that took a week to be fixed, we have decided to make the Bozo Gunk skin free to claim and keep from 10am PT Wednesday 19th October to 10am PT Monday 24th October.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/634016/Awesomenauts__Bozo_Gunk_Skin/
Enjoy the free skin, and best of luck in-game! If you already have it, we really appreciate your support
Hi everyone, the issues in the previous post seem to be fixed! We still don't really know what caused the issues (or what fixed them) so we will keep a close eye on them. Please do let us know if you are still experiencing these issues. If you would still like a refund on any recently purchased DLC, please create a ticket with Steam Support. Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We are going to try to do something as an apology for these issues (depending on what we can do and what is allowed by Steam), so keep an eye out on this space!
Hi everyone, we have some unfortunate news. Since Monday 19th September, a host of issues popped up in Nauts and we have very little idea as to what caused them. We have contacted Steam and are also looking into this ourselves. But considering that this seemed to have happened out of the blue, we do not yet know how to approach solving the issues, so do not have an estimate when these issues will be fixed. We will keep you updated if we have any new information. Problems experienced:

The Survivornauts Tournament is nearing and sign-ups will end in 1 week on Sunday 29th August! Were mixing it up this tournament and will be introducing a more casual-friendly ruleset where meta Nauts might be banned if they are picked too often
Heres a simple rundown of the rules:
- The tournament will take place over 4 weekends. Weekends 1,2, and 3 will be group stages. Weekend 4 will be playoffs.
- In week 1, all Nauts are available for selection for competition.
- After each week, 8 of the most played Nauts will go through a raffle system and 4 will be banned for the rest of the tournament. So there will be 12 Nauts banned over 3 weeks, and a final 22 Nauts available for selection for the playoffs in week 4.
To find out more about the tournament and to sign up, join the Tournament Discord.
If you dont have a team yet but would like to participate, jump in the Discord and post a message in the #looking-for-team channel.
The winners will be rewarded with in-game medals, but EVERY participant will receive a skin or announcer reward (the better you do, the better the reward)!
The next Awesomenauts tournament is coming up at the end of this month! We would like you to help us decide the tournament format! We have 2 proposals, Randomnauts and Survivornauts. Here are brief summaries of the rulesets of each format.
Randomnauts
- The Nauts played by each team is selected at random.
- The original gamemode Randomnauts will be used with medium ai bots selected (the middle option).
Survivornauts
- The tournament will take place over 4 weekends. Weekends 1,2, and 3 will be group stages. Weekend 4 will be playoffs.
- In week 1, all Nauts are available for selection for competition.
- After each week, 8 of the most played Nauts will go through a raffle system and 4 will be banned for the rest of the tournament. So there will be 12 Nauts banned over 3 weeks, and a final 22 Nauts available for selection for the playoffs in week 4.
All Nauts will be on free rotation for ALL PLAYERS during the duration of the tournament!

If you are reading this, it means the Nauts leaderboards have been reset and a new season has commenced! Grab your 3 stack, turn your feed drive to hyper speed and run it down mid for that sweet sweet invisible orb on Aiguillon. Stealth you way into the hide areas and surprise your opponents as they think they can peacefully clear a wave of droids. Bait your enemies into getting the health pack on Sorona and feed them to the worm!

Never played Awesomenauts? Don't fret! This pack will set you up with absolutely everything you need. It's a side-scrolling MOBA that pits you and two allies up against three opponents, wielding characters like a jetpacking monkey, a robot with anger-management issues, and a sawblade-throwing techno-shaman, and lots lots more. Interested? The game is free to play, so go and give it a spin!
Once this promotion ends, the Awesomenauts All Nauts Pack will be retired once again.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/703880/Swords_and_Soldiers_2_Shawarmageddon/
Swords & Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon is the sequel that sees our beloved Chief Redbeard travel the globe in search of a mysterious artifact, only to uncover a sinister plot to take over the world! Still, it's a lighthearted strategy affair that throws different challenges and puzzles your way.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/63500/Swords_and_Soldiers_HD/
The game that started it all for us! Swords and Soldiers HD is a sidescrolling strategy game where you take control of the Viking, Chinese, and Aztec armies while they exchange food-based puns and fight over a mind-controlling chili.
In partnership with Devolver Digital, Ronimo Games has been hard at work developing Blightbound, a new co-op action RPG set in a blight cursed land filled with monsters and gribblies. Players will take the role of adventurers living in the Refuge, one of the few (if maybe the last!) vestige of good and light in the land. From their plateau, they strike out at the evil that has consumed the world around them, earning not just experience, loot, and glory, but finding survivors and fellow playable heroes; many of these heroes also have a great deal of history with each other and the places they inhabit. It's easily Ronimo's most ambitious project so far! If you want to keep up to date with Blightbound while it is in development, then we highly suggest taking a look at the store page, adding the game to your wish-list, and following the game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1263070/Blightbound/ For one, we're excited to announce that Blightbound will be available for Early Access around mid-summer! Blightedly yours, -SlowWolf.
A new tournament is on the horizon! Awesomenauts Conquest has a new super SPICY lock-out draft system! Get the gang back together to kick names and take butts!
Sign up here: https://discord.gg/wnkyp28
Awesomenauts Conquest will feature a series of one-off tournaments with a BRAND NEW drafting method unlike any other implemented in previous tournaments.
You and your team must create powerful combinations and prove your might by winning with a variety of different strategies!
Basic overview:
Teams must submit 3 team compositions before each bracket. These 3 compositions will then be used for the remainder of the bracket.
Instead of a standard drafting phase, each team will ban one team composition drawn up by their oppositions. Teams must win with both of the remaining compositions to proceed to the next stage of the competition.

Update 4.7 and Snork Gunk are now live! Here is the back story to our conchballing, butt-whooping hero:
Although Snork Gunk is considered one of the better conchballers in Scargi space he never reached first league with his team the Pearl Sluggers. He always criticized that the sport had become too slow and blamed the slugs at management for trying to slow the pace of the game (which was already drawn out over the span of 14 Earth months).
“With an average of only one or two goals a game, you have more fun watching paint dry,” he complained. After many times of being disqualified for scoring too quickly, the team benched him for good.
Fed up with his failed career in sports he decided to join the Scargi military police hoping for some more action by tracking and hunting down enemies of the Empire. After a good run of swift catches, he was assigned on a mission to hunt down the fugitive Rocket Renegades. Realising the Renegades had joined the ranks of the Awesomenauts, a team of 'big league' mercenaries, he applied for the transfer of a lifetime...

It's time for another Rexic Art Contest!
If there’s one Naut Rexic loves, it’s a certain purple alien named Coco who joined The Awesomenauts on 23rd July, which also happens to be her birthday! The contest has already commenced and will end on 23rd July at 11:59pm.
Check out Rexic's original forum post here: https://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=52843
You can submit art of any Naut for the competition, but the primary focus should be on the rad surfer babe herself! It can be art of whoever you want doing whatever you want, fighting, playing, chillin', or just shootin' some hoops with her new pal Snork. Entries can be posted the day you finish or any time before the end of the contest.
Put 'Art Contest' in the title and post your entries on the Awesomenauts Steam page, Tumblr or Reddit! Forum submissions should go to the official thread (see above)!
Now come the prizes!
- 1st place: $100 gift card for Steam, Amazon or PayPal
- 2nd place: $50 gift card for Steam, Amazon or PayPal
- 3rd place: $25 gift card for Steam, Amazon or PayPal

- Tier 1: Random game or skin code
- Tier 2: You get to choose a game or skin code
- Tier 3: You get a game code AND a skin code
- Tier 4: $5 gift card for Steam, Amazon or PayPal
But wait, there’s EVEN more! If you use Rexic’s recruitment code (ZUM8-QCVC-VJLH), you get an additional free code! So tell your friends, tell your family, even tell your neighbour! And we hope to see many amazing entries from many talented artists!
Ladies aaaaaannnnnnd gentlemen! Standing at 5’11 and 400 pounds, the (not so) lean, mean scoring machine, 5 time MVP, conchball hall-of-famer, Pearl Slugger legend and Awesomenauts’ latest recruit… Put your hands together for Snoooooorrrk Gunnnnnnnnnnk!
We are very excited to announce that Snork Gunk is now playable in open beta for everyone. Hey everyone, as you have probably heard in recent news, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will go into full effect this week. As we process and store some data relating to your Awesomenauts account, we’d like to take a moment to let you know what this means for you and Awesomenauts.
In order to provide you with some of the essential components of the Awesomenauts service, we have to store data relating to your account. This allows us to provide you with matchmaking services, a player profile, progression, in-game unlocks, customer and technical support, and much more. The bottom line is that we don’t store or use any data except as needed to provide you with the full Awesomenauts experience, so we won’t use any of the data we store for these purposes for marketing or anything else.
We have updated the EULA that pops up the first time you launch Awesomenauts to provide a little more information on the data we collect and what we use this data for. As the document has updated you’ll be asked to accept it again, but all the changes are just to further clarify what was already there.
The processing, storage, and use of personal data is a hot topic and we take it very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns about it, please let us know in the comments below or get in touch on robin@ronimo-games.com.
If you’re reading this right now, the leaderboards have been reset! Get the band back together, grab your partner(s), stock up on energy drinks and jump on Awesomenauts to get your new rank! Expect encounters with mixed skill levels for the first few days since everyone will be reset to a rating of 10,000.
If you’re a newer player who has played fewer than 100 games, you will automatically get a reduced rating to avoid being matched against higher level players. It’s also important to note that this reset only influences your leaderboard rating. You’ll keep any character and account progression you’ve made.
Good luck!
A new season is about to commence in Awesomenauts on Steam! Time to see how you’ve (hopefully) leveled up since the last season! A new season means the leaderboards will reset so everyone gets another crack at getting their career high rank. Expect being matched with players of mixed skill levels in the first few days but once the dust settles, we’ll see if you’ve stayed in the kitchen or if you couldn’t handle the heat!
If you have played fewer than 100 games, you will automatically get a reduced rating so you’re not playing against a high-ranked player. Everyone else will be reset to a rating of 10,000.
This reset only influences your leaderboard rating. You’ll keep any character and account progress you’ve made.
Good luck and see you on May 17th!
Have you ever wanted to become an iconic video game duo like Mario and Luigi, Garrus and Shepard, Vinnie and Spike, Atlas and P-Body, Marcus and Dom, Kane and Lynch, and umm, the 2 guys from Army of Two?

Participants will battle through qualifiers starting from May 5th and compete to be in the live finals on May 26th to have a chance to be immortalized in competitive Awesomenauts history. Hey everyone, as we continue to take community input for the upcoming balance & bug fixing update, our designer Jasper has published a document containing tentative balance changes we're planning to introduce in the upcoming Beta. The document is open to comments, and we'd love to get a little more input on these intended changes before we fully implement them.
You can find the document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ntn7YLoROFB11CTb2tBgI9efuWgvaE2p7ZSmC9vKaZQ/
Please use the comment feature in Google Docs to share your thoughts and provide additional input to the suggestions of other players, but keep it civilized!
Some of the more exciting changes currently lined up include the transformation of Professor M. Yoolip's Wrench Smack to a ranged Wrench Fling attack, multiple tweaks to upgrades for Qi'Tara and Commander Rocket, and changes to the way Turret Mode and Trap placement work for Derpl.
Furthermore, you can share thoughts on some proposed changes to different upgrades in a different sheet, over here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x_v6Ba9DR--XlP4kXZXEyaFdx-T74vJjiHxWOAczwao/. These changes are currently under consideration but have not yet made it into the list for 'planned' changes, so share your input there as well!
Hey everyone! We're currently working on Awesomenauts 4.6, an update that will bring balance tweaks and a bunch of bug fixes!
We're currently taking community input on what characters should receive some love and care in this update, and you can share your thoughts on that on our official forums: https://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=52068. We've already received a bunch of suggestions about Derpl, so if you want to dive into the conversation about your favorite mech-riding tank, head over here: https://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=52077

We just released Awesomenauts 4.5.1 with fixes for some Qi'Tara issues that have been reported since she released on Wednesday, as well as some fixes for problems related to the new bundles. Full patch notes are included below.
While this update fixes a significant number of issues that have been reported so far, we have additional improvements currently in development and will be releasing them in an additional update next week.
Please continue to report issues you encounter on our forums, so that we can investigate and address them as soon as possible.
That said, have a great weekend, and enjoy the latest update and Randomnauts Brawl!
Awesomenauts 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades is now available on Steam, and that means Qi'Tara is now available! The update also adds five new profile portraits to the mix, a number of additional features and tools for the in-game level editor, and much more.
Qi'Tara, the thirty-third playable Awesomenaut, is a cloaked assassin that applies a stacking poison effect to her enemies every time she hits them. Her individual hits don’t deal too much damage, but the poison effect can quickly overwhelm her opponents because of her high attack speed.
Owners of the Awesomenauts All Nauts Pack should have Qi'Tara unlocked right away, while everyone else can unlock her with 10.000 Awesomepoints, or by purchasing her from the Steam store. http://store.steampowered.com/app/561561
Alongside Qi'Tara, we're releasing an awesome premium skin called Dark Masquerade Qi'Tara as well as a brand-new announcer called Renegade Command. http://store.steampowered.com/app/634014 http://store.steampowered.com/app/399835 Furthermore, we're introducing a new Starter Pack in this update. The Starter Pack contains eight accessible characters that highlight various roles and playstyles, and is sure to contain a great line-up for players looking dive deeper into everything Awesomenauts has to offer.
For full patch notes, check the bottom of this post.
Already own some of the 'Nauts contained in the Starter Pack? Don't worry, as the game will automatically refund you the Awesomepoint-value of any duplicate characters you already possess prior to pruchasing the pack. The pack is available at $7.99 and to celebrate the release of Update 4.5 it's temporarily discounted by 20%.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/425541 Last but not least, we're introducing a number of new 'Complete-the-set' bundles on Steam to allow players to obtain all available content for their favorite characters at a 20% discount. Check out the in-game armory for more information.
As we previously announced, the Awesomenauts All Nauts Pack is being retired when Awesomenauts 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades launches. In this update, it will be replaced with a brand-new Starter Pack.
We're currently in final stages of testing the update, and if all goes according to plan the update will hit tomorrow, on December 6th. That means this will be your final chance to obtain the Awesomenauts All Nauts Pack, which grants you immediate access to all characters as well as access to new characters as they are released.
The All Nauts Pack is currently available at 40% off as a 'going-away sale':
http://store.steampowered.com/app/561527/Awesomenauts_All_Nauts_pack/
The Starter Pack, which will launch alongside Update 4.5, contains eight accessible characters that each highlight a different playstyle. This allows newer players to get a headstart as they dive into all the content that Awesomenauts has to offer, and grants them an Awesomepoint-refund for any characters they already own.
The eight characters included in the Starter Pack are:

We're aiming to release Awesomenauts 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades on December 6th, so stay tuned for more reveals over the coming week as we approach launch of this new update!
Team Boys 'R' Us recently won the Super Awesomenauts Dojo tournament, topping Serious Decisions in the Grand Finals. Congratulations to Niki, Ubi, DaveW, and Eddster on their victory, and many thanks to the team that helped make this tournament happen.
If you missed the recent livestream, which featured the best game from the tournament, you can now catch the VODs on YouTube. Thanks to Uberransy, Fawx, SlowWolf, Pyrocheese, and MrPillow for casting!
We just released the first Beta update for Awesomenauts 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades! Log into the beta to test out the brand new character, Qi'Tara, and some of the other changes we're working on for Update 4.5. The Beta update is currently only available to Windows and Mac users. A Linux version of the update will be released tomorrow.
For info on how to access the Open Beta, please head over to our official forums.
At this time, Awesomenauts 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades is scheduled for a release on December 6th.
The patch notes for Beta Update 1 are included below.
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the extra-long weekend! To celebrate, we're offering a whole bunch of awesome discounts on Awesomenauts skins, droppods, announcers, characters and, for the first time ever: the All Nauts Pack!
The following discounts are available until November 28th, 10AM PT:
Qi'Tara has been preparing her blades for a little while now, and is now one step closer to joining the Awesomenauts! Try her out in the open beta right now and share your feedback on the official Awesomenauts forums!
In Update 4.5: Revenge of the Renegades we'll finally have all the members of Rocket's Renegades reunited as members of the Awesomenauts. Qi'Tara complements the team as an incredibly agile assassin that excels at chasing down her victims.
This update also brings a cool new feature to the Level Editor: the animation editor! This new tools gives players the ability to create elaborate animations, and it's the same tool the developers use for many of the in-game effects.
For a complete list of what's new, please check out the patch notes for this first beta. For a guide on how to access the open beta, please visit our official forums.
In addition to bringing a new character and this upgrade for the level editor, Update 4.5 will also bring a couple of changes to the different types of content-bundles we have available right now.
Based on a lot of data and user feedback we will be replacing the All Nauts Pack when Update 4.5 launches! In it's place will be a new Starter Pack that's cheaper and more player-friendly, while also keeping the sense of progression intact.
Of course, players who already own the All Nauts Pack will continue to receive new characters as they release - so this change won't impact existing owners in any way.
Furthermore, we'll also be replacing the Costume Parties with a new type of bundle when the update launches. Since the game has gone free to play, not all players have access to the same characters anymore and having a fixed pack of skins for various characters no longer makes as much sense. In the weeks ahead, we'll detail the new Starter Pack and the new skin bundles.
We'll let you know at least two weeks in advance before the All Nauts Pack and Costume Party packs actually retired, so stay tuned for more news. If you've been holding out on the All Nauts Pack you'll probably want to pick it up in the coming weeks before it's too late!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/561527/Awesomenauts_All_Nauts_pack/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79p9dm9oS3A On the latest Streamisho, Joost and Olivier showed off the first gameplay footage of Qi'Tara! We've still got some work to do on Qi'Tara and will be doing tests at Ronimo HQ over the next few weeks, so please note that many of these items are still subject to changes. Over the coming weeks, we'll be releasing a couple of additional videos in which Slow Wolf covers the basics of Froggy G, Sheriff Lonestar, and the Scoop of Justice!
With Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee live for two weeks, we're slowly turning our attention to the next update for Awesomenauts. We're hard at work to finish Qi'Tara, the fourth Renegade to join the Awesomenauts, and will be giving you all a gameplay demo during the next Streamisho on November 2nd.
For now, we do have a couple of teaser images that highlight some of the new skills for this mysterious 'Naut!
Qi'Tara is shaping up to a great new addition to the cast, and we can't wait to show you more. Stay tuned for more teases over the coming weeks, and a full reveal on November 2nd!
In the meantime, don't forget to log in this weekend for a new Brawl! This week we're playing Team Deathmatch, which pits your team against three players on a small map with very few opportunities to escape or heal!
Hey everyone, we just released Update 4.4.2, which addresses several of the remaining bugs from our last update and makes improvements to the stability of Brawls. As always, please let us know about issues by reporting them in the Support section of our forums: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13
Thanks for helping us iron out the last couple of issues over the last week, and we hope you have a blast with the latest update :)
It's time for the beakening! The new Brawl of the Week is now available and it's time to get your bow out with Rocco. Tip-Top is here, and you should be playing it right now!
This brawl pits both teams, with every player as Rocco, against each other in a Team Deathmatch-style encounter... with damage boosted up to 300%! You'll have to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge as many arrows as you can to survive while taking out the opposition.
Log in to Awesomenauts and play a couple of Tip-Top matches to earn a massive XP and Awesomepoint bonus!
A new week, a new set of 'Nauts available for free in our weekly rotation. This week, sneak around and get the jump on your enemies with Leon Chameleon, or spike-dive into battle with Vinnie & Spike. Use Sentry X-58, one of the original Starstorm 'Nauts, to dominate the battlefield with his versatile teleport ability and Black Hole Sun attack.
The final character available in this rotation, Rocco, also has a special role to play in the next Weekly Brawl... so if you're not familiar with him yet you might want to play a couple practice games with him to get ready for the weekend!
All these characters are available to all players with account level 6 or higher, and can be played in all game modes until the end of the week. Enjoy, and let us know whether any of these are your new favorites!
Hotfix 1 for Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee is now available! The patch notes for this update are included below.

Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee is now available! The patch notes for this update are included below, but we've posted a more reader-friendly summary of what's included in this update in another announcement.
Thanks for playing, and we hope you enjoy the latest Awesomenauts update!
Step right up, step right up! Cirque du Brawlee has rolled into town!
It’s a true festival of carnage with the addition of a weekly Brawl that provides bonus XP and Awesomepoints rewards to participants, and every weekend players will be able to enjoy a new gameplay mode with different rules, powers, and modifiers. For instance, this week we’re starting with the Unlimited Power Brawl - a game mode where all upgrades have a fixed price and there are no restrictions on how many upgrades you can have. Which ‘Naut will reign supreme when all there’s nothing to hold them back?
This latest update also introduces Daily Missions. These missions challenge players to complete matches with a specific type of character, to claim victory in a certain number of matches, or to fulfill another objective. The reward for completing these missions? Sweet, sweet Awesomepoints that players can use to purchase additional characters or unlock other cosmetic upgrades.
In addition to these new gameplay features, we’ve also further refined the experience for players who are new to Awesomenauts. To welcome these new players into our community, we’re providing them with new features that help them predict the effective range of their abilities, and are providing them with a set of daily missions that help them explore the various features Awesomenauts has to offer. We're sure many of these changes will also benefit veteran players who are experimenting with newer characters or returning to the community.
On top of all these new features, we're also adding a batch of new profile portraits to the mix, and releasing the Soulhuntress Raelynn skin, as well as the Ringmaster announcer! http://store.steampowered.com/app/399837/Awesomenauts__The_Ringmaster_Announcer/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/605940/Awesomenauts__Soulhuntress_Raelynn_Skin/ We’ve got more content lined up for the last couple of months in 2017. Qi’Tara, the character lined up to become the 33rd Awesomenaut, will be revealed in full soon. She is expected to make her public debut in an open beta within the next couple of weeks.
Update: We have resolved the issue on our end and will publish the update tomorrow, October 5th.
Hey everyone! While doing the final preparations for the update, we encountered a pretty nasty gameplay bug. We're currently doing what we can to address the issue, but it does mean the update will not be launching at the time we originally intended.
We'll do what we can to keep you updated on our social channels, so follow us at twitter.com/RonimoGames to get the latest news on this. Join us on Twitch.tv/RonimoGames in a few minutes for a full reveal of what's included in the update, and a showcase of the new Soulhuntress Raelynn and Ringmaster announcer skins.
Apologies about the delays, but thank you for bearing with us!
Ronimo Robin
Get ready for the launch of Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee! Not only will you be able to enjoy a new Brawl every weekend, you're also able to bring the Ringmaster announcer into every game you want with a brand-new announcer.
The Ringmaster announcer turns every match you play into a Carnival of Violence, a Circus of Murder, and a Spectacle of Slaughter! Step right up, step right up!
Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee launches tomorrow, on October 4th.
On top of all the cool features we've already got lined up for Awesomenauts 4.4, we're adding a brand-new skin for Raelynn! Soulhuntress Raelynn is here, and she's ready to hunt down all the demons, cultists, and other evil-doers you can throw at her!
Whoever said 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' sure never met Soulhuntress Raelynn. Though she spends her days hunting demons, cultists, and other evil scum (which lots of folk appreciate), she's not particularly nice company at parties and friendly get-togethers. One time she attended a feast some villagers organized in her honor and she used her laser rifle to 'cleanse' the demon-shaped chocolate cake the villagers had spent days to prepare for her in secret. In the end, she's just not a people person, and most people have learned to leave her alone and not invite her to their parties.
She is GREAT friends with Cuddles though. Together they've cleansed more demons and other evildoers from this world than you'd feel comfortable knowing. And a chocolate cake.
Get ready! Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee is launching on October 4th!
One week from now, we're launching a massive update with plenty of cool stuff to look forward to. Get hype for the addition of Daily Missions, the arrival of a weekly Brawl that grants you lots of bonus XP and Awesomepoints, and an overhauled menu. And that's not all! We still have some announcements lined up for the rest of the week. So stay tuned.
If you want to know more about what's currently in the Open Beta for Awesomenauts 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee, read up on our recent blogpost about that. If you're interested in the list of tentative balance changes that will be included in this update, you can catch the full patch notes of the current Beta version on our official forums. Want to know how to gain access to the Open Beta? You can learn more about that on our official forums as well.
We've been testing various Brawls in the Open Beta over the last week, and have been listening to your feedback on that. We're likely making some changes to some of these when the update goes live, but we'll detail those changes at a later point.
Once Awesomenauts 4.4 goes live, a new Brawl will be available every weekend. Some of the Brawls that we've been testing in the Beta so far include:
A new week, a new Free Rotation! This week you're able to enjoy Froggy G, one of the classic 'Nauts, for free alongside Admiral Swiggins, Gnaw, and the arrow-slinging Rocco.
These four 'Nauts are available for free to all players with account level 6 and higher for the entire week.
Welcome to Cirque du Brawlee! Awesomenauts 4.4 brings a massive batch of cool new features, and the Open Beta is available to all players right now for to try them out.
On the Streamisho today, we unveiled the biggest feature coming in Update 4.4: Weekly Brawls! Every week we'll have a new event for you to play, and during the Open Beta we'll be testing a whole bunch of them. Once Update 4.4: Cirque du Brawlee launches, these Weekly Brawls will be live from every Thursday until late Sunday... and you're getting a new Brawl every weekend.
To kick things off, the Beta currently has the Girl Power Brawl active. This boils down to a regular match of 'Nauts, but you only have access to female 'Nauts. That means your selection is limited to Coco, Raelynn, Penny, Nibbs, Dizzy, Ayla, and Ksenia!
The Brawl available in the Beta will change in a few days, allowing you to try out some of the other Brawls we've got lined up for you. We'll keep them a surprise for now... but how does an All-Rocco Deathmatch sound, for starters?
On top of these Brawls, the Open Beta also includes the features we revealed last week. Try out some of the new Daily Missions and the new Livetiles in the main menu, and give us your feedback on the extensive balance changes that are included in this update.
To access the Open Beta, all you have to do is follow these steps:

Awesomenauts 4.4 is right around the corner! This action-packed update will go into Beta next week, on September 20th, and we've already revealed the first couple of features that are included on the Streamisho!
A new season has started! Enjoy!
This means everyone gets a fresh start at climbing the leaderboards. Since a new season is essentially a leaderboard reset it also means that the matchmaker won't know player skills for a while, so expect matchups to be all over the place for a few days.
Everyone has been reset to the default ranking of 10,000. Note that new players will still have a lower rating because anyone with less than 100 matches automatically gets reduced rating. So new players won't notice the reset as much as more experienced players.
This reset only influences your leaderboard rating. You'll keep any character and account progress you've made.
The final celebration weekend gives the last free skin, and it's another sweet one! Log in to Awesomenauts on Steam this weekend and you'll automatically receive the Shinobi Rocco skin for free!
On top of that, the quadruple 'First Win of the Day' bonus is active yet again! So be sure to play to win this weekend!
See you online!
Another weekend in the month of August means that we've got another free skin lined up for you! Log in to Awesomenauts on Steam this weekend and automatically receive the Leon Legionnaire skin for free!
On top of that, you're also able to grab a quadruple 'First Win of the Day' bonus from today until Monday morning! Get in there and start racking up those points!
See you online!
As we continue to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Awesomenauts on Steam this month, this week is probably the most awesome of them all! All players are able to try out every single 'Naut in the game, including the recently released Commander Rocket, this entire week!
Awesomenauts has a roster of 32 diverse characters and this is your chance to take all of them for a spin. Try out a new character in online matches or try out cool character-specific mods that you were never able to try before!
We hope to see you online!
If you're attending Gamescom this week, make sure to visit the Awesomenauts booth in Hall 10.1, booth A41, register for a free Roboscoop key, meet the devs, and win cool prizes. See you there!
Step up your game with a Digital G skin, which you'll get for free just for logging in to Awesomenauts this weekend! That's right - log in and receive a free skin. Yours to keep. Forever.
On top of that, you're able to enjoy a quadruple XP and Awesomepoint bonus for your first win of the day all weekend, so get in some games between now and Sunday and gain some additional levels!
The free Digital G skin and quadruple First win of the Day bonus are available until Sunday night!
Awesomenauts 4.3: Ready to Rock it! is now live on Steam, so log in and try out the latest Awesomenaut to join the cast: Commander Rocket!
What this character lacks in burst damage and size, he more than makes up in the ability to relentlessly harass his opponents in a lane. His auto attack stores up several missiles over time that you all fire at once, allowing Rocket to deal tremendous damage when harassing enemies in a lane with hit & run tactics. His first ability, Rocket Launcher, fires off a huge rocket that travels a fair distance and deals significant damage, while also knocking away enemies. Rocket himself will also be launched backwards by recoil, which experienced players will be able to use to deftly move themselves around the map with!
His final ability, Laser Trap, launches a small device that (after a little charge-up time) starts spinning around and blast enemies within range with lasers. It deals a lot of damage to enemies unable to escape, and is therefore especially powerful when deployed in chokepoints on the map or when teammates help CC enemies!
Want to know more? SlowWolf has released a great character showcase video that covers everything you need to know! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW--cFM8vHw
Commander Rocket is now available to every player who owns the All Nauts Pack and can be unlocked with Awesomepoints in-game for everyone else! If you don't have enough Awesomepoints available you can purchase the new character directly from the store. http://store.steampowered.com/app/561567
Commander Rocket launches alongside an awesome Commander Cook-It skin that transforms the grizzled veteran into a chef loaded to the brim with food-puns and vegetables in his launcher! Check him out in-game! http://store.steampowered.com/app/634012
We've got more awesome stuff lined up for you throughout the month, and you'll want to return tomorrow to redeem a free Digital G skin (which you get just for logging in) and start enjoying a quadruple XP and Awesomepoint bonus for your first win of the day! This all ties in to the events we've got lined up to celebrate the five year Anniversary of Awesomenauts on Steam, and we hope you'll join us!
If you're visiting Gamescom next week, make sure to drop by our booth in Hall 10.1 - booth A41, and play some games with us, say hi, and win cool prizes!
It's Monday, so a brand new weekly rotation has started! Try out Gnaw, Coco Nebulon, Skree, and Admiral Swiggins for free all week!
Dominate the battlefield with Weedlings and poison your enemies as Gnaw, or use Lightning Ball to ambush and push around your opponents with Coco. Admiral Swiggins, a character designed by the community in the original Design A Naut contest, allows you to lunge at opponents with your anchor and them lock them down. Doing so means you temporarily trade your powerful melee attack for a tricky ranged attack though, so make sure to adjust your playstyle accordingly after initiating.
Finally, rounding out the weekly roster is Skree - a technoshaman that made his home on the Starstorm Station. His chain lightning is especially dangerous against bunched-up enemies, and his sawblades give him a powerful zoning ability. His second ability, which summons a totem, doesn't deal any damage but allows Skree to block off escapes or lines of fire... so don't underestimate it!
The weekly rotation is available to all players with account level 6 or higher!
As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of Awesomenauts on Steam this month, we've got another great weekend event lined up for you!
Log in to Awesomenauts this weekend and you'll immediately get the Officer Lonestar skin for free - yours to keep forever! On top of that, you're getting a quadruple XP bonus for your first win of the day thoughout the weekend.
So log in, play some games, and lay down the law with your new Lonestar skin!
As we announced last week, we'll be celebrating the fifth anniversary of Awesomenauts on Steam throughout the month of August. We launched the first weekend event last Thursday, but that was just first step! Every weekend throughout the month you'll be able to enjoy a quadruple First win of the Day bonus!
Additionally, log in during the remaining weekends this month and you'll get a different free skin every week. It's yours to keep, forever!
Finally, as we head to Cologne ourselves to participate in Gamescom with our biggest booth ever, you'll be able to access every 'Naut in the game for a full week to experience the full Awesomenauts cast for free! This event will start on Augusts 21st, and last all the way through August 27th!
Thanks again for all your support over the last couple of years, and we hope you'll join us for these celebrations throughout the month!
Need reminders about these events? Keep an eye on our social channels to stay up to date!

Hey everyone, over the last couple of months we've seen the Awesomenauts community grow significantly. Ever since we added a Simplified Chinese localization to Awesomenauts, many new players from the Chinese community have become avid Awesomenauts fans.
Unfortunately, with the growing number of players in the Chinese community it has become apparent that there are some issues affecting a significant number of players, making it impossible for them to connect to our matchmaking server. As a result, we've decided to temporarily restrict access for new players to the game by disabling the Play / Purchase button on the storefront. This change will go into effect shortly. This will not affect players that already own the game, but ensures new players (who are likely to have problems connecting to our server) can't get in until we've succesfully adressed the issue.
The move also shouldn't affect players located outside China, so if you're reading this it probably won't affect you.
The game will be made available again once we've adressed these issues, and the game will become free-to-play in China just like it will be in the rest of the world starting May 24th.
We're very sorry about this, as the Chinese community has quickly become one of our largest groups of players, but I hope you understand why we're doing this and will continue to support us. We want all players to have a great time playing Awesomenauts, and this is the best way for us to guarantee that happens!
We'll update the Chinese community regularly on our progress!
Thanks,
Ronimo

Hey everyone! We'd like to make a quick announcement regarding some of the discussions on offline play that we've seen in the community!
There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding regarding the ability to play offline in Awesomenauts. Some people think we've removed botmatches and splitscreen with the latest update, but that's not the case: you can still play with and against bots in Update 4.0, and you can still play local splitscreen multiplayer. The only change here is that you need to have an internet connection to start the game, since your unlocks are now stored in the cloud.
In addition, some players have told us they want to be able to play when they don't have access to the internet at all. To make sure those players won't lose any features that they previously had access to, we've decided to permanently leave an offline-only version of Update 3.5 available on Steam. And the nice thing is: it's available already!
You can get the offline version like this:
Hey there, as we hope you’ve heard: Awesomenauts will be going free to play on May 24th. Lots of new players will be playing Awesomenauts for the first time after the transition, and we look forward to welcoming them to our community and hearing from them.
In order to help them learn more about Awesomenauts, we'd like to invite all existing players, our grizzled veterans, to participate in our brand new Guide Contest!
Write great guides, help new players, win awesome prizes! It’s that easy! Your contribution will not only make it a little easier for new players to join the community, but it’ll also earn you more skilled teammates to fight alongside on the battlefield!
We’ve opened the window for guide submissions on Steam as of today! Everyone who owns a copy of Awesomenauts and abides by the rules is allowed to participate in the contest, which will run until Wednesday, May 31st, 17:00 EU / 16:00 UK / 11 AM Eastern / 8 AM PT.
Be sure to support guides you like by giving them an upvote, as the Grand Winner of this contest will be decided based on the number of upvotes a guide gets. You can check out all submissions here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/204300/guides/
We encourage everyone to submit a cool Awesomenauts game guide to help new players learn more about Awesomenauts. The topic of your guide is up to you, and everyone is welcome to join the contest as long as they follow the rules below!
Rules:
We just released the first hotfix to Awesomenauts 4.0, including fixes for several gameplay issues and plenty of other improvements.
For more info on all the new features included in the 4.0 launch that released earlier this week, please check out the announcement we made on that.
It's really happening! Awesomenauts is going free to play on May 24th! Soon everyone can be an awesome space mercenary!
https://youtu.be/g4EV6KmsW58
Going free-to-play has always made sense for Awesomenauts, as more players simply means it’s a better game for everyone. It greatly improves the matchmaking and networking experience, and brings more people to community events and the amazing community-made mods.
We couldn't have done this without your support! Your continued feedback inspires us to dream big, and many of the changes we’re introducing with 4.0 are a direct result of that. Thanks to your support, Awesomenauts has grown from a scrappy indie title to one of the few enduring online games. And with your help we're going to launch Awesomenauts into the stratosphere!
Before we get down to talk about all the cool new stuff, we need to mention two very important things that will stay the same amidst all of these big changes:
The level editor contest ran for almost a month and the winners were announced on the last Streamisho! There were 28 entries to the contest and only one could win the grand prize, so congratulations to Blatoy for winning with Super Awesome Nauts!
There are two maps under this name. One of the maps has a great combination of custom textures and adventure map gameplay, while the other map is a custom-textured 3v3 Awesomenauts map. Blatoy received most upvotes with these maps. Therefore, he wins the Golden Gearlyfish icon to show-off ingame, an exclusive Clunk figure, a Roboscoop skin, and the Awesomenauts costume party bundle DLCs!
Check Super Awesome Nauts out:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=891470202&searchtext=contest
To show our appreciation to other custom map creators, we introduced honorable mentions which were chosen by the Ronimo team. We picked our winners by looking at textures, layouts, gamemodes, and in particular the creativity of the map idea. There are 11 honorable mentions winners and they all win the Silver Gearlyfish icon, a Roboscoop skin, and the Awesomenauts costume party bundle DLCs!
Thank you all for those who participated in the level editor contest. It was amazing to see all the great ideas come to life and see a lot of players try out these great submissions on the Steam workshop! We encourage everyone to continue creating and uploading maps and we will try to share the great work from the community on our social media channels.

Awesomenauts 3.5: Unleash your Power has been out for over a week and during the Streamisho last Wednesday we discussed hotfixes, community news and a great community map!
We'll give you a rundown of all the news from the Streamisho here, but if you rather watch it on Youtube, you can do so here:

Awesomenauts 3.5: Unleash your Power just launched! The Level Editor, Steam Workshop features, and the new character Deadlift are available to everyone for FREE!
This young Bovinion has spent his life in exile, training every day in the hopes of taking revenge on the cowboy that wrangled his entire race: Sheriff Lonestar! He's a tanky support character that excels at absorbing damage dealt to both himself and his allies... but can also pack a pretty mean punch. He's just not too great at dealing incredible amounts of damage in a short period of time.
On encountering his archenemy, Lonestar, on the battlefield Deadlift has a couple of unique voicelines to taunt him!
On top of all this, we’re also releasing a new skin for Chucho Krokk: Summertime Chucho! This summer-themed skin equips Chucho with two water pistols and replaces his sticky bomb with an equally-deadly beach ball! His trusty motorcycle has been traded in for an inflatable dolphin when he’s fighting on the red team, and an inflatable killer whale on the blue team. Ki-ki-ki-ki-kill!
You'll also be able to experiment with the Level Editor and try out creations uploaded to the Steam Workshop by other players. Just visit the Workshop page, subscribe to a couple of mods, and access them in the Custom Games screen in-game! It's that easy!
If you want to find out about all the possibilities of the level editor and feel like you need some help, the Awesomenauts Wiki has a whole guide ready for modding purposes here: http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Modding
Mods allow you to upload your own maps, your favorite settings, special game modes, and even your own custom textures, and share them with others. We've already seen a couple of great community creations, and you can check out all of the on the Awesomenauts Workshop page: http://steamcommunity.com/app/204300/workshop/

Additionally, we also released a server-side update earlier in the day that should reduce the odds that you'll encounter the same player multiple times in a row during regular matchmaking!
Deadlift has also received some tweaks that should again make him a little less overpowered in single combat while keeping him viable in a teamfight. For the full patch notes, head over to our official forums: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=49255

We just released Awesomenauts 3.4.2, including some much-needed tweaks to Max Focus and a couple of important improvements to Spectator Mode! Full patch notes are below:
General
-Configure Controls menu, when opened from within a match, now correctly handles keyboard/controller navigation.
-Tutorial, fixed that the blocked turret did not require dynamite to be destroyed.
-Custom Games now remember your last chosen bot difficulty, instead of always defaulting to the same AI as is used online. This should improve the difficulty curve for beginners, as their bot matches will now stay on low difficulty bots until they change this themselves.
SlowWolf announcer
-Fixed that lines for Legendary and Awesome were swapped.
-Removed the SlowWolf announcer from the Shop menu, since it can’t be bought.
-Fixed that players who unlocked the SlowWolf announcer during a 3.4 beta did not have it in the live game.
-Changed Slow Wolf to SlowWolf in achievements and in-game menus
Spectator mode
-Fixed that in replays destroyed turrets would not reappear on the minimap when going back in time to before their destruction.
-Added an option to hide the party interface and invites without hiding the entire replays HUD, making the screen more suitable for casting and commentary videos. To hide the party interface, press F1 once while in a replay. Pressing F1 twice will hide everything, like before.
-If you’re following a character who teleports a great distance (like on Starstorm), the camera now immediately jumps to the new position.
-If you’re following a character who dies, the character will now be remembered and the camera will go back to that character once he returns to the match. Also fixed this for replay-to-video.
-Fixed that camera would twitch when timeskipping while following a character who is at the far edges of the level.
-Fixed that really old replays always showed Sorona with arena walls (as if it were a Team Deathmatch match).
-Fixed that the square that shows the camera position on the minimap in replays was pixely and partially disappeared when it became small.
-Fixed that the cursor was visible in videos made with the replay-to-video function.
-Fixed that in the killcam, if the killer died shortly after making a kill himself, the camera would jump to the droppod area for a few seconds.
-Fixed that autocam would sometimes try to follow a character who's respawning or in the droppod
Froggy G
-Clock Necklace, fixed that the heal over time would not trigger while FroggyG was affected by damage over time.
Gnaw
-Sped up the weedling spawn animation for Gnaw's skins to correspond with the faster weedling spawn mechanic.
Ix
-Fixed that Ix did not have recommended builds in the shop.
Lonestar
-Hyper Bull, fixed that cocoon would make it drop down instead of stay in the air.
Max Focus
Max turned out stronger than expected and so we see some inevitable nerfs coming to him. Mainly Slow-Mo’s potential has been toned down and two problematic upgrades have been tackled. Especially Pete Jennirks is a difficult one to balance and is slated for replacement in the next patch. Scene Illumination was found to be often difficult to land and therefore unreliable damage. To mitigate that issue, the duration has been reduced but the dps has been increased, making sure every bullet that hits is more meaningful and you are not locked in while the enemy often has already fled. Finally, some fixes and a price buff for an underused upgrade.
-Scene Illumination, base damage increased from 45 to 50 per shot (450 to 500 dps).
-Scene Illumination, base duration reduced from 2 to 1.5 seconds.
-Slow-Mo shot, base time slow reduced from 70% to 65%.
-From pond to podium: Nate Frogg exposed, price reduced from 165 to 135 solar per stage.
-Hairy King from Hairy King's Life, size increase reduced from 20% to 15%.
-Hairy King from Hairy King's Life, price increased from 125 to 175 solar.
-Pete Jennirks from Galactic News, projectile slow down reduced from 30% to 20%.
-Pete Jennirks from Galactic News, price increased from 190 to 240 solar.
-Slow-Mo shot, can no longer be reflected.
-Addresses of the Stars!, fixed that you could deactivate the double damage charge by trying to use Flood Light during a skill.
-Fixed that pain sounds did not trigger when Max received damage.
-Fixed that Max Focus did not have recommended builds in the shop.
We just released Awesomenauts 3.4: Prime Time on Steam! This update is another big step forward for Awesomenauts and follows on the heels of the massive Rise of Galactron update that we released last month. Update 3.4 brings the long-awaited Spectator Mode, a new Overdrive ‘Naut, a visual rework for Clunk, and extensive balance changes!
For the full patch notes, head over to http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2440
Max Focus has been covering the war between the Ones and the Zeroes for a long time, and developed a real taste for destruction. After reporting on so much glorious destruction and many explosion, Max decided it was time to start making the news himself and joined the Awesomenauts.
Max Focus is the latest Awesomenaut to join the Overdrive line-up! This nimble flier is able to deal an impressive amount of damage to opponents straight ahead of him with his Scene Illumination skill and can launch a time-slowing orb with Slow-Mo Shot!
Max Focus is now available in Awesomenauts on Steam as part of the Overdrive expansion, which is currently 35% off on Steam. If you already own the Overdrive expansion, Max Focus will already be unlocked when you launch the game.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/425540/
Alongside Max Focus, we’re also releasing a horrific costume! Malicious Max is now available! This skin comes with a fully customized voice set!

Galactron hasn't even been live yet for a week, but Awesomenauts 3.4: Prime Time will already go into Beta tomorrow, November 23rd! We've got lots of cool content slated for the next couple of months, and we're keeping up the pressure!
Join the Streamisho tomorrow at 1700CET, 11AM ET, or 8AM PT, as we walk you through the new Beta, including features like the Spectator Mode and the visual overhaul of Clunk.
The biggest reveal that we have for you is the brand new character that will be added to the Overdrive line-up with this update. We've released some teasers for this character... but all will be revealed tomorrow! Do you have an idea of what it'll be yet?
We just released Awesomenauts Update 3.3: Rise of Galactron on Steam! This update brings a whole new matchmaking system to Awesomenauts, a complete overhaul of the game’s menus, a fully-featured party system, and loads of additional tweaks. On top of that, a rejoin-feature to allow players to reconnect to games they accidentally disconnected from, and harsher leaver penalties for players who abandon their teammates. And of course: Galactron himself, who is a giant robot, in space.
This update brings a AAA style matchmaking to Awesomenauts, lowering both pings and skill differences in matches across the board. Galactron does this by gathering up players in rounds of about five minutes, and then figuring out how to best group those players across matches.
An additional feature is the addition of Simplified Chinese localization. We've been bringing Awesomenauts to more languages over the last couple of years, and we're excited to welcome more Chinese players to our community.
For the full patch notes, head over to: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2440
We've tested the system extensively in multiple Betas over the last few months, and would like to thank all players who've helped us test the system. Galactron has become a lot more awesome than we ever anticipated, and a lot of that is thanks to the feedback you've given us.
The development on Galactron lays the groundwork for many awesome features that will be coming to Awesomenauts over the next year. Including a live spectator mode coming next month, and a level editor with full Steam Workshop integration coming next year!
Today is all in honor of our giant robot: Galactron. And I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlord. All hail Galactron!
Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron is launching later today, and a alongside the new matchmaking system, the party interface, and many other changes, we're also introducing a new announcer that you can grab for free by recruiting a friend, or bringing a former-Awesomenauts player back into the game!
All you have to do to unlock this new announcer is follow the steps below:

We haven't revealed any new details about this new character, other than that it'll be joining the Overdrive line-up! That means this character will become the fourth character in the Overdrive expansion.
Prime Time will launch in December, with a Beta scheduled to go live on November 23rd.
If you missed the Streamisho yesterday, you can now catch it on Youtube. If you're specifically interested in the demo of the Spectator Mode, you should skip to the 27-minute mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UouZX_Oh3A

Heya! We just released Live Beta 5 for the Rise of Galactron update. This update brings a lot of important changes to the inner workings of Galactron, which should allow him to do a better job at matching players based on their connection quality. Overall, the goal for this iteration has been to significantly reduce the average latency between players in every match.
If succesful, that will tick off one of the final major issues we've been working on since the start of these Live Betas. Of course, we'll continue to iterate on the system to improve it even further.
As we've talked about before, Galactron will vastly improve the matchmaking experience in Awesomenauts, by doing a better job at matching players of comparable skill, who share a decent connection to one-another. We'll continue to keep an eye on the data over the next couple of days, and will listen to your feedback to make sure we address relevant issues and polish the experience even further.
Please share your thoughts on the new system either here or on our official forums. Your feedback is important in helping us improve the system further and identify and resolve any issues ahead of launch.
Full patch notes, with more details on how this Live Beta differs from the previous ones, check out http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=48016.
Tombs rumble, the ground moves. The dead rise and walk the earth! Oh nevermind, it's just the Awesomenauts donning their creepiest costumes and their spookiest skins!
During the Halloween sale, all spooky skins are 60% off, and all other skins and announcers are 40% off. Grab the expansions at 25% off, or give the game to a friend at 60% off.
The sale lasts until the November 1st, 10AM PT.
Happy Halloween from the Ronimo Team!
The third Live Beta for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron is now available on Steam. Log into the game now and experience the new matchmaking system and new menu-suite, while we test the new Galactron system in the live environment.
We're using this test to identify any issues that might occur ahead of launch. If all goes well during this test, we'll allow the system to remain live overnight. That should give players who don't live in the Ronimo Games HQ timezone a chance to experience the new matchmaking system for themselves before it goes live.
Once this Live Beta ends, we'll process the feedback and bug reports that we've received, and prepare for a new Live Beta in the near future. Want to know how this Beta went? Tune in to the Streamisho on Wednedsay over at Twitch.tv/RonimoGames, for a full update on our progress!
We just launched Live Beta 2 for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron! Over the next couple of hours we'll be testing some of the improvements we've made in the previous weeks and are once again tracking the overall system performance.
Log in, play some games, and experience the new matchmaking system in the live environment for the first time! The system will be disabled later today, reverting back to the regular matchmaking system.
We just released Awesomenauts 3.2.6 on Steam, and with it, the very first Live Beta for the new matchmaking system slated for update 3.3! All hail Galactron! Furthermore, cool features included in Awesomenauts 3.2.6 include the all-new Assists system, a slew of balance tweaks, and some bug fixes.
For the first time ever, the matchmaking system is in the capable hands of Galactron. We'll switch back to the 'regular' matchmaking system in a few hours, but the new balance changes will remain in the game! Over the coming weeks, we'll be using these tests to further improve the Galactron experience and make sure it's bug free when it goes live definitively in a few weeks1

After several rounds of Open Beta, we're ready to move onto the next stage of releasing Awesomenauts Update 3.3: Rise of Galactron!
Later this week, we'll officially launch the first Live Beta for this brand new update. This means that for the first time ever, we'll be putting the official Awesomenauts matchmaking system into the capable hands of Galactron. After several hours of Galactron-matchmaking, we'll disable the system again, revert to the 'regular' matchmaking system, and evaluate how things went.
We'll release a new Live Beta when we've ironed out any issues that came up during this test. Once we're confident Galactron can handle it, we'll keep increasing the window during which the new system is available. Stay tuned for news on that!
Additionally, balance changes that are slated to go live as part of Awesomenauts 3.3 content will be available once the first Live Beta starts (as part of Awesomenauts 3.2.6) and will remain available even when we've reverted to the 'regular' matchmaking system. We'll post the official patch notes for that tomorrow!
We're really excited about this next step the development of Galactron, and can't wait to finally start testing this system in the live environment!
We just released Open Beta 3 for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron on Steam!
The new Beta includes the all-new Fan Art gallery, improved performance, and resolves a large number of connection issues and other problems players encountered. If you ran into problems with the previous Betas, please test out the new Beta to see if they've been resolved and let us know about it!
In addition to the improvements, the new Beta also features several new balance changes that we're planning to release in Update 3.3. For the full patch notes and list of balance changes, head over to our official forums: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=46832
Thanks for testing! If all goes well, we might be starting to run more tests in the 'live' environment soon, which will mark a new phase in the release of this massive update!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdy-ZwqPloo During the Streamisho this week we looked back at an Awesomenauts build from early 2011. This 5-and-a-half-year old build already contains the original six characters that Awesomenauts launched with in 2012, but there are an incredible number of tweaks that we've done since then. If you want to know what Awesomenauts looked like while it was still in development, be sure to check it out! We discuss upcoming content and various aspects of Awesomenauts development during the Streamisho every Wednesday, so make sure to follow our channel over at twitch.tv/RonimoGames.
It's a nice hotfix update that fixes a bunch of stuff while we all wait for Galactron to be finished. Have fun!
Patch 3.2.3
12-8-2016
Replays
-Fixed healthbars and player names not being visible in replays for enemies that were not visible for you during the game. This fix only affects newly recorded replays.
-Fixed cooldown timers being visible while the character is respawning.
Derpl
-When teleporting Derpl will now place his Grid Trap at the intended location.
-Derpl can no longer be swapped by Ix while in siege mode.
Froggy G
-Fixed that the bonus damage granted by Mutant Worms: Ninja Edition would be canceled by engaging teleport.
Ix
-Fixed that Tree Hugger would also increase the self-damage dealt by Ayla and Clunk
-Fixed that it was possible to engage a bond while refracting.
-Fixed that it was possible to start teleporting while refracting.
Maximum range of the bond and displace is currently very obnoxious
-Overexposed Nature Photo, now only increases the range of the projectile not the bond.
Ix's damage is considered overbearing for a support character, these changes should tone it down
-Time-Travelled Diamond, now only affects Bolt.
-Radiate, scattering crystals base damage reduced from 18 to 15.
-Salt Miner, damage reduced from 22 to 18 per stage.
Displacing is another way for Ix to be invincible, giving him too much opportunity to be invincible. These changes will tone down his invincibility time.
-Displace, swapping duration decreased from 0.5 to 0.4 seconds.
-Refract, cooldown increased from 8 to 9 seconds.
This is a little buff for a relatively weak upgrade
-Prismatic Moonstone Dust, damage-over-time duration reduced from 4 to 3 seconds.
Jimmy and the LUX5000
-Flaming Stroller, only applies one first damage tick when touching multiple flames at once.
Ksenia
-Fixed an issue where Ksenia would be locked out of her Cut & Trim when using Vanish and Scissors Throw at the same time.
-Made knockback on scissors upgrade consistent between regular and powered-up scissors.
Penny Fox
-Fixed an issue where it was possible to activate skills without charges.
-Penny now always spawns with full charges, making her a bit more viable in Deathmatch modes.
Professor Yoolip
-Yoolip’s Gripping Gaze will now stop immediately when hitting a target that is immune for stun. Examples are a Derpl in siege mode or a Yuri with active Time Warp upgraded with Spacetime Continuity Device or a Vinnie using Smoke Screen with Clown’s Mask. Before only Yoolip would be stunned for the duration of Gripping Gaze while not stunning those targets.
Scoop
-Fixed that the Penguin Squire heal over time effect is correctly given to allies when combined with Holy Cup upgrade.
Skree
-The cooldown for Saw will now only be visible when it is returned to Skree. Before there was also a cooldown visible when sending out the Saw.
Swiggins
-Fixed an issue where you could create multiple anchors when throwing Swiggins anchor down in the Starstorm level
Voltar
-Improved in air maneuverability.

After fighting through six qualifiers and being seeded sixth into the Grand Finals, HarryButchers & The Boys have have defeated Mature Dads in the finals of Awesome Brawl last weekend! Congratulations to them on this accomplishment, and big thumbs up to Mature Dads and Get Juked, which came in third during the Grand Finals.
Forty different teams have participated in Awesome Brawl over the last several weeks, and we're very proud to have a completely community-created event like this achieve such success! Many thanks to all players who participated and to those members of the community who helped make this event happen!
In particular, many thanks to Tempas for setting up and hosting the entire event. We'd also like to thank community members Eddster, Devmon, MrPillow, Uberransy, SlowWolf, Oz, Leader, and Burrhe for hosting the Streams throughout the entire event! Thanks for setting up such a great show. Finally, big ups to Pasha, Fw, and Maslink for doing a lot of work behind the scenes and making sure everything turned out as well as it did, and to 6E for hosting and maintaining the NautsDrafter tool!
Today marks the fourth anniversary of Awesomenauts on Steam, and it's been one hell of a ride! Thanks to all our players, fans, and community members for making this a fantastic time and for inspring us to continue to make the game bigger and better!
Awesomenauts has grown an incredible amount since August 1st 2012, and to make a long story short: we've got a lot more coming!
The support we've received from our community inspired us to start the process of overhauling the matchmaking system more than a year ago. Like so many other features we've done over the years, this one has grown into something much cooler than we originally anticipated and has taken a little bit longer to develop than expected. However, we're finally nearing the point where it can go live!
The first Open Beta that started on July 20th revealed some issues and we're gearing up for a new round of Beta to start this Wednesday. Almost all of the issues that came up during the Open Beta have been addressed, so be sure to check it out! The Beta will be available for several days, just like last time, and once we've had time to look at the issues that came up we'll let you know how we'll proceed.
Beyond Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron we've got a lot more awesome content planned. Work on the Spectator Mode is underway, and there is more cool stuff lined up for the coming months.
From everyone at Ronimo, thanks for your support and your love for Awesomenauts. Stay tuned, and stay awesome!
We've already talked about several different aspects of Galactron, and one important aspect of this is the way the game will handle those players who abandon their allies. That's the topic we'll be talking about today, but if you want to know more about the previous topics, you can catch up on all of them here on Steam Announcements.
Cutting Down on Disconnects
With Galactron in charge of matchmaking services and all other systems, players should no longer experience disconnects from the game if their connection to Steam stutters for a moment. And even if they do get disconnected from a match for any reason, they'll be able to rejoin the game as soon as their connection has been reestablished. This should significantly reduce, if not eliminate, situations where you would ever disconnect from a game against your will and not be able to return to the same fight within a few minutes.
While this takes away one frustration that many players have experienced at some point, that does leave another very real problem that the community faces: rage-quitters and people who routinely abandon matches. Because we're eliminating many 'random' disconnects with the changes coming in Update 3.3, we are now much better able to actually identify players who purposefully leave games... and rest assured: we fully intend to punish these players much more effectively for their disruptive behaviour! In addition, we would like to do what we can to minimize the negative impact these players have on other players as well.
Punishing Leavers
If a player decides to leave a game, they'll be returned to the main menu of the game. Here, they'll have only two options: rejoin the game they just came from, or exit the game entirely. They won't be able to queue up for a different game or enter a different match.
Should the player opt not to return to their game, the game they were in will become 'safe to leave' after several minutes. At this point, the player that left will definitively be classified as having 'abandoned' the game and be locked out of the matchmaker for a while. This lockout will increase in duration if a player continues to leave matches on a regular basis.
Reducing the impact Leavers have on a game
The remaining players will be able to leave the game without any additional punishment from that point on, but their rating will still be affected by the outcome of the game. If you decide to leave a game that has become 'safe to leave' you can immediately queue up for another game, or rejoin the game you just came from if you change your mind. You won't get an 'abandon' added to your profile in that case, and won't suffer any of the cumulative penalties we just talked about!
If all players on a team have left a game, the remaining team will automatically win after a short duration, which should speed up their experience as well.
This system is available in the Open Beta which commences on August 3rd, and will go live in Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron. We'll continue to monitor the system and check values as we go along, like the actual duration of the Lockout, the way these punishments stack over time, and the time before a game becomes save to leave. If you have any feedback about this, please let us know!
On top of all the cool stuff that we're adding to the game with update 3.3: Rise of Galactron, we'll be adding something extra that you've been asking for for a long time: assists!
Awesomenauts is a team game, and many takedowns that happen are the result of several members of a team coordinating and timing their attacks. With the new update, players who have been involved in the defeat of an opponent but did not actually land the killing blow will share in the credit!
The exact rules for being credited with an assist (assuming you're not already receiving a full kill for it) are explained below. We'll be tweaking the exact timings in the upcoming Beta!
The Open Beta for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron is now available! If you haven't tried it out yet, head over to our Official Forums to find out how you can access the Beta and let us know what you think of all the changes that we've been working on!
Today we'll be talking about the changes to the Custom Game Lobby. This is the fourth installment in our series of Spotlights, and you can find the other episodes by heading over here.
Along with many other aspects of the game, the Custom Game lobby has been overhauled to work faster, be easier to use, and share more relevant information.
At the top of the screen you can now always see what the setting are for that game, and what map you'll be playing on. Figuring out which settings have been changed in a Custom game has also never been easier, as all settings that are not set to the default value for that particular game mode will be highlighted.
On top of all this, the Settings screen has been overhauled completely, making it much easier to actually find the setting you're looking for, and edit them in a much more comprehensive manner.
With the overhaul of this menu, we've also added a feature that has been requested for a long time: the ability to 'unready'! We all know that sometimes you've readied up only to have the match composition change at the last second, prompting players to want to switch teams or tweak some additional settings. Well worry no more, just hit unready and you'll once again be able to do everything you want!
The new Custom Game lobby screen is available in the Open Beta that's available right now. As with any other aspect of the game, we'd love to hear from you! If you have any thoughts to share about this, or encounter any bugs with it, please let us know through the Bug / Feedback form accessible through the main menu in the Beta. If you want to discuss anything in particular, you can also head over to our Official Beta Forums.
If you want to know about the changes coming in Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron, check out the other Spotlights we've released on this topic so far or try out the Beta for yourself!
The Open Beta will be closed on Monday July 25th and will be reopened when we've addressed the issues that came up during the tests!
The Beta for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron is now available! Log in and try out all the new features that we'll be adding with this massive update!
Among others, this update introduces the new Rejoin system, does away with the old Late-Joining functionality, adds a whole new matchmaking system and party system, and a whole lot more. To learn more about the details of these systems, head over to our Galactron Spotlights, which detail everything you need to know about the new update!
Don't know how to access the Beta? You can find our guide on the official forums. Rest assured: it's pretty easy!
Please let us know what you think of all these changes! In the main menu of the Beta, you'll find links to a bug report and feedback form. Please use these to let us know about any issues you find, or anything you find unintuitive!
The Open Beta will be available until Monday July 25th. We will then close the Beta and begin processing the feedback we've received. Once we've addressed these issues, we'll make the Beta available again. Stay tuned for more news on that!
A new Season Reset approaches! Soon the slate will be wiped clean and you'll be given a new chance to prove your worth!
On Monday July 25th, we'll end Season 21 and start a brand new one. You have until then to improve your rating and climb to the highest league. Good luck!
Once Season 22 commences all rankings will be reset, giving players a new opportunity to prove they're one of the best.
Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron will bring many important changes to Awesomenauts, and we've been talking about some features already. Earlier, we talked about the rejoin system and the removal of late-joining as well as the persistent parties that will be added in Update 3.3. Today we'll talk about the most hotly-anticipated feature of all: a complete overhaul of the matchmaking system itself!
In order to improve the matchmaking experience, we've completely rebuilt the system from the ground up. When Awesomenauts 3.3 launches, the game will no longer require you to maintain a non-stop connection to the Steam servers, which will ensure you don't disconnect from a match if the Steam servers go down for a second or two. Matchmaking is entirely handled by our own tech, and we've fundamentaly changed the matchmaking flow to improve the experience.
Taking more time to match you
The current pre-Galactron matchmaking system tries to do the best job it can, given the matches available at that time. The system looks at the available games and picks the one that's the best fit for you. If the match hasn't started yet, you will have to wait until the game fills up before you can start. That means the system handles players one by one, and does the best it can with every single one of those. However, by handling all players at the same time it could probably do a much better job. That's exactly what Galactron will do!
When Galactron goes live and you hit Battle in the main menu, you'll register yourself with the matchmaking system and begin to test possible connections to other players. At set intervals, or whenever enough players have registered with the matchmaker, your system will give the matchmaker a 'report' on your possible connections to other players. The matchmaker will then use this information, together with your ranking information, to distribute all available players across a multitude of different matches.
All of these matches will start at the same time, and the matchmaker aims to create the very best combination of players for each game - taking into account your connection quality with those players, the rating of all players in the game, and the rating of all players on each team.
Freedom while you wait
While the matchmaking system is preparing all this, you can continue to navigate the menus, use the Global Chat and new party chat features, and use other features in the game. The only thing you can't do is enter a different match or make changes to your party composition. If you Alt-Tab the game while waiting for your game to start, you'll receive an audio-warning that your game has started.
A big step up!
The quality of matches will improve substantially, but there is still a chance that the match you end up in might not be perfect. After all, we can't eliminate latency between players entirely and sometimes a player who is a perfect fit with you in terms of experience might actually have a ping that's a little higher than you'd like, or have a great connection with everyone else in the game. There are just so many factors involved in making a perfect match (we can't account for your roommate turning on their torrents mid-way through a match, for instance) but it is important to note that on the whole, your matchmaking experience will improve substantially!
That said, we'll continue to tweak the system to make sure the matchmaking experience continues to improve from here on out! We'll listen to your feedback to improve this design further, so please let us now what you think when the Open Beta launches on July 20th!
The Open Beta for Update 3.3: Rise of Galactron is less than a week away! Starting July 20th you'll be able to test out the completely new matchmaking system, including the new rejoin feature we detailed recently. One other important feature that we'll add with this new update is the ability to enter into a persistent party with your friends!
Team up with your friends!
Everything gets better when you're playing with friends, and we're making it a lot easier to enjoy Awesomenauts with your BFFs when Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron launches.
We're introducing a persistent party system where you'll team up with your friends even before selecting which game mode to play and stay in a party when a match has concluded. Even if a player disconnects, they'll reconnect to their party immediately when they get back.
This makes several things a lot easier, including queueing for matchmade games, entering public custom games (or even private ones) together, and simply staying in the groove inbetween matches. And perhaps best of all: you'll be able to chat with players who are in the same party as you are in your own private channel!
Getting into the fight!
You can invite players to a party by simply clicking on the empty slots in the top right corner of your screen. A party is limited to three players, and you can even enter local players into these slots if you want. Once you and your friends are ready to go, the party leader can decide to enter matchmaking or join a custom lobby.
All players will be asked for confirmation whether they're ready to enter matchmaking if this happens, and once everybody has confirmed they're locked and loaded you will all be entered into the matchmaking system together.
Overhauled invitations
On top of all this, the way invitations are handled will be overhauled. If you get an invite to a custom game or a party, these will now show up directly in your interface. No need to open up the Steam overlay and locate the correct chat window - you'll now have everything in one place!
The persistent party will make it easier for you to invite your friends, and greatly improve on the current system that handles invitations.
The persistent party system will be available in Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron, but you'll be able to test it out for yourself in the Open Beta that launches on July 20th. That means it's only few more days until you can see all the improvements this update will bring for yourself!
Early next week we'll talk about the way the actual matchmaking system is being changed, so if you want to know more about that make sure to check back in!
Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron will bring many important changes to Awesomenauts, and over the coming weeks we'll go a little more in-depth on all of these. Today we'll talk about the removal of the late-joining system, and the rejoin functionality that ties into that.
Origins of the Late-Join System
An important feature of Awesomenauts has always been the fact that any unfilled slots in a match would be filled by AI-controlled companions, which could be replaced by players as the game progressed. The original idea was that players would never have to wait to start a match.
Over the years, player feedback has indicated that many users actually prefered a short wait ahead of matches to try and get all slots filled before the initial droppod ride to the battlefield. As a result of this feedback, we implemented a 4-minute timer ahead of matches after which players can decide to 'force' the game to begin. We continue to see many players wait beyond the required window if matchmaking happens to take a long time, and forcing a match to begin early is generally frowned upon by the community.
Always start with a full game
When Galactron goes live in Update 3.3, the new matchmaking system will ALWAYS pair six players together, so matches will always be complete at the moment you transition to the character select menu. This removes many of the reasons for which the Late-join feature was added in the first place, so we have decided to retire this feature when Update 3.3 goes live.
Rejoin if you DO disconnect
However, a second important aspect of the late-joining feature is to allow players to take over the spot of someone who has either left the match or disconnected for whatever reason. With the new update we'll start taking more serious steps to combat players who systematically leave games, but we'll also add a feature that allows you to rejoin a game if you happen to have disconnected from it.
If you reconnect within a reasonable timeframe, you will suffer no penalties at all, so if your WIFI happens to stutter momentarily or your cat knocks out your ethernet cable there is nothing to worry about. You'll be returned to the main menu if you lose your connection to the game, but once it has been reestablished you can just hit Rejoin and get right back into the game!
Six players start, same six players finish!
Because it is now possible to reconnect to a game, your slot will never be made available to another player, further removing the need for the late-joining system, though a bot will still take over from you while you're away.
Our goal is to facilitate fairer matches by making sure they end with the same six players who started out in it. We strongly believe this will make matches fairer and more fun.
We look forward to making these systems available to you in the Public Beta that will commence on July 20th. Of course, we'll listen to your feedback and improve the system based on that, so please keep in mind that all of this is subject to change. Let us know your thoughts!
In a future spotlight, we'll go into more details on the punishment that will be applied to players who routinely leave from matches, or repeatedly disconnect from them without rejoining within the alloted timeframe.
Last weekend we ran a Closed Beta test of the Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron update. Only a handful of players were invited, and they tested out all the new features that will be made available in the next update. This test helped us prepare for the Open Beta that will start on July 20th, and we're already working on addressing some of the issues that came up.
To help you prepare for the Beta, and give you a little insight in all the cool new features you can expect in Awesomenauts 3.3, we'll be posting some updates in the coming week. You can look forward to reading updates on the following topics:
- The Rejoin feature, and the removal of the Late-Join feature
- Persistent Party system
- Improved Matchmaking systems
- Custom Game Lobby improvements
- Punishment for leavers and the 'Safe to leave' feature
- Improved character select screen
We'll start with the first topic soon, so stay tuned! To get you hyped up a little, here's a shot of the new main menu in Awesomenauts 3.3!
Awesomenauts 3.2: The Green Guardian has just launched on Steam! Ix the Interloper, a character that has been designed and picked by the community, is now available! And best of all, it's completely free for everybody!
Ix the Interloper is our latest support 'Naut, and comes with the ability to bond with both allies and enemies. Once bonded, Ix can switch position with his target, allowing him to swap allies to safety and enemies away from their chosen location! Be careful though, because Ix is quite fragile and is easily taken out when hit by stuns or slows. His escape is a skill called Refract, which renders Ix invulnerable for a very brief period of time while being able to move freely in every direction.
Update 3.2: The Green Guardian also contains a brand-new skin for Scoop, called Bravely Scoop IV: Eternal Fantasy, and a futuristic skin for Ix, called Steel Seraph Ix!

Ix the Interloper is releasing later today, and there's one more thing to reveal: the skin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An7PzoL4vK8
As angels are usually peaceful and quite focused on their herbal infusions, the Heavens did little more than weep as soulless robots and demonic mercenaries slowly spread across the galaxy. However, one of these angels could no longer stand idly by and decided that the time had come to intervene in the realm of mortals.
Turning the weapons of the robotic overlords against themselves, this angel became an armored being of high-tech destruction. Now this fusion-powered, nano-enhanced, tungsten-plated angel is feared across the galaxy. In their frightened whispers its adversaries call this mysterious being 'the Steel Seraph'.
Having made landfall on Luxor, the Steel Seraph strikes fear in the hearts of all droids, robots, and demonic influences in the region of space dominated by the ones and zeros. Its first destination? The Awesomenauts!
Ix the Interloper will release this Wednesday, July 6th, in Update 3.2: The Green Guardian. And best of all, this community-designed 'Naut will be completely free!
For his character theme, we worked together with the talented MrMacke, who has been doing acapella covers of the 'Naut themes for a long time. We felt it was time he got to do his own theme though, so he and Sonic Picnic collaborated on his theme and killing spree track. The time has come to reveal the latter!

A hero's journey is filled with many great challenges. Like saving the townfolks from a mysterious invading army from another dimension, that's headed up by a hooded figure who's actually being manipulated by an otherworldly dragon who'll morph into a demon when close to being defeated. It's all in a day's work for Bravely Scoop in Bravely Scoop IV: Eternal Fantasy!
Check out the reveal trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlPk3YluxwY
Bravely Scoop IV: Eternal Fantasy is a Scoop skin that will launch in Awesomenauts 3.2: The Green Guardian, on Wedneday July 6th.
During the Streamisho last Wednesday, we announced that the Beta for Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Galactron will commence on July 20th. This Beta will grant you access to the new matchmaking system and overhauled menus, and be the first time we're testing all of these systems publicly!
This Beta will follow on the release of Awesomenauts 3.2: The Green Guardian. This update will launch on July 6th and contains a brand new character: Ix the Interloper. This character will be available for free to all players.
Some of the most important features we'll be testing in the Beta for Awesomenauts 3.3 are the following:
- persistent party: team up with friends and stay together when finishing a game
- updated character select menu: a complete overhaul of the character select screen
- improved matchmaking: vastly improved matchmaking experience
- removal of latejoin: players will now always join a match at the very beginning
- rejoin functionality: the ability to rejoin a match from which you have disconnected
- matchmaking lockout: disconnected players will ONLY be able to reconnect
- increased leaver penalties: players who abandon matches will suffer greater penalties
For a more thorough explanation of all the changes coming up in the matchmaking system, check out our most recent Streamisho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxvTrglXwH4
The Awesomenauts 3.3: Rise of Omicron Beta will be available July 20th to all players.
Ix the Interloper, the character that was selected by the community during the Design-A-Naut Contest 2, will be launching free for all players on Wednesday July 6th!
Ix the Interloper is a new support character that is able to swap position with his friends or enemies, allowing him to quickly change the way a battle is unfolding! He can also turn invulnerable for a very brief period of time, allowing him to negate a lot of burst damage when timed perfectly! Watch out though, because Ix is very vulnerable when caught without his abilities ready.

Ix the Interloper will join the Awesomenauts in Update 3.3. That means the Update containing the new Matchmaking system will launch first. We're testing Ix this early because it's a very complex character, and the additional feedback would be very useful.
The Leagues have been reset! It's time to jump back into the fight and prove yourself once more, and see if you've got what it takes to be one of the best!
In addition to resetting the Leagues, we've also release Update 3.1.2, which includes several tweaks, fixes a couple of bugs, and addresses a few exploits. For the full patch notes, head over to http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2440
After launching it all the way back in August 2012, Cole is closing down the PUGRNauts Mumble server today. Thanks to all community members who joined the server over the years for discussions, matches, and just general fun. We'd like to thank Cole for having hosted the server for this long, and really appreciate everything he has done for the community over the years! You rock dude!
Other community members are taking over the service, and are hosting a new PUGRNauts server. Want to join in? Head over to http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=42355 for more info!
Get ready for Ix! We'll be hosting a Beta for Ix the Interloper, the winner from the Design-Your-Naut contest, starting next Wednesday!
This is an early beta to get the new character into the hands of players and feedback on the mechanics. Please note that Ix the Interloper will NOT release in the next update, but is instead slated for release in Awesomenauts 3.3. Additional Beta rounds will likely follow closer to the release of Ix. The next update will contain the matchmaking overhaul, and we'll be sharing more information on the Beta for that soon.
Ix is one of the most complex characters we've ever done, so we want to make sure the community gets sufficient time to play around with him, and share their thoughts so we can tweak him further. This Beta is therefore a preview of content releasing a couple of months from now.
Before we launch the Beta on Wednesday, we'll be giving you an in-depth look at his abilities and upgrades in our Streamisho. Tune in to Twitch.tv/RonimoGames at 19:00 CEST, 18:00BST, 1PM ET, 11AM PT on Wednesday May 18th! Click here for a countdown to the show!
After much deliberation we have decided to start again with regularly resetting the leaderboard scores of all players. While we figure out a more permanent and satisfying solution for the lack of long-term player progression, we feel that the added value of giving players something to work towards currently outweighs the cost of finding your place on the leaderboards after each reset. The first of these resets will happen on May 16th. Subsequent season resets will not have any predetermined dates for now to ensure that important patches such as the matchmaking server launch don't coincide with them. We will make sure to communicate these dates well in advance on Facebook, Twitter, Steam announcements, Global chat and in the Carousel to ensure nobody will encounter any nasty surprises. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to post them on the official forums or on the steam forums.
We just launched the 3.1.1 hotfix for Awesomenauts, fixing some issues players have been experiencing. Patchnotes can be found here: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=45463 If you encounter any issues, please report them here: http://www.awesomenauts.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13
We just launched Awesomenauts 3.1: Starstorm Showdown! After months of development and countless sneak peaks, the legendary Starstorm vessel is now fully engaged and ready for battle! This new map is available in the regular online map rotation, so jump into Matchmaking and fate might bring you to the Starstorm! In addition to this brand-new map, Awesomenauts 3.1 also brings a massive amount of new custom games settings, as well as some cool new skins. 8-Bit Yoolip is the latest Ultimate Skin, which means it comes loaded with a custom theme song, unique killing spree, and loads of extra visual and audio upgrades. It's one of the most elaborate skins we've ever done. There's also a new Skree Announcer, for those who just can't get enough of our favorite technoshaman! Furthermore, we're introducing Augmented Ayla, a new Ayla skin that's available for free! All you have to do is Follow Awesomenauts on Steam (https://www.awesomenauts.com/free-ayla-skin/), and it'll unlock straight away in the game! We hope you enjoy the new update! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-y4PX5X2whQ To celebrate the impending launch of the Starstorm Showdown update, we're revealing a new track that will be added to the game with Update 3.1! One Happy Galaxy is a track inspired by the Starstorm Station, has a chance to play on every map, and is available for everybody! The track is composed by our friends at Sonic Picnic, who did all the sounds and music for the game! As with all other tracks, it'll be added to the digital soundtrack for your listening pleasure, if you own the soundtrack DLC!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-Q47roj00E 8-Bit Yoolip is coming in Awesomenauts 3.1: Starstorm Showdown! We just launched Awesomenauts 3.0.2.A1, an update that we've been working on in secret for quite a while! As you all know, Awesomenauts has always been heavily inspired by cartoons and games from the 80s and early 90s. And ever since we launched in 2012, we’ve never stopped releasing updates and kept the game’s spirit close to those classic games and series. Recently, we realised something was missing. Or rather, we had too much of it. Pixels!
That ends today. The new update we’ve just released brings the game back to the glorious, crisp, and hyper-realistic 180p graphics that blew our minds back in the arcades! The screenshots included below are from the actual live version of Awesomenauts on Steam, and have not been altered in any way. Log on and try it for yourself!
Furthermore, we’ve added a new 8-bit track to the soundtrack to fit this new vibe. For a limited time, this track will play every time a new match starts, just to make sure everybody can enjoy it!
Players who’d love a little more pixels with their pixels can increase the resolution to higher levels by hitting the cheat code CTRL + P. We think those people have no love for the classics though!
