- Overhaul script_game_get_troop_note to attempt to strip out extraneous or non-immersive info coming from the limited debugging purpose of the original note system, add links, recognize issues around pretenders, handle lords removed from the game and dethroned kings, mention locations of player's prisoners, and name defecting lords that have arrived at the player's court.
- Make script_texto_lords_relation compatible with the above updates to script_game_get_troop_note
- Fix randomization of defector at player hall
- Keep refused defectors from returning to player's hall
- Add ages for companions in case they become heroes
- Remove un-localized cheat/debug line
- Add notification to player when they are indicted
- Fix footwear of certain troops. Note, however, that nobility in this period preferred to signal their status over reducing potential battle damage.
- script_give_center_to_lord: check when parameter operates as flag
- Reduce volatility of player's personal relations with factions when factions change their bearing to one another or a player joins a faction at war
- Add a case to the court scene to screen out ladies of defecting/inactive lords who have not presented themselves to the player yet

- Make adventurers default faction for lords of defeated factions released from prison to avoid backdoor to zombie kingdoms
- Include non-companion lords in appropriate adventurer behavior
- Have script_change_troop_faction handle non-kingdom faction properly
- Use a defection process to place adventurer lords of defeated factions in new factions
- Distinguish unconfirmed defectors to player and limit their spawn in the player's court
- Defecting lords yield intel on their old faction when accepted by the player
- Defecting lords do not defect immediately when rejected by player at the player's court
- Add a tracker for the last faction to properly distinguish that from the original faction
- For initiating defections, use the same function that counts disgruntled lords
- Make liege relation more of a consideration for defection
- Prohibit defections to factions from which lord will immediately defect
- Lords that have nowhere to defect are removed from the game
- Use script_indict_lord_for_treason for quest incriminate loyal commander
- Redo caravan design to raise the cap to a level appropriate for when only two factions left
- Prevent escaped defeated faction lords from forming parties until recruited into a new kingdom
- Balance relation impacts of enfoefment

In preparation for future updates to macOS and Linux distributions, we have made 64-bit versions of Mount & Blade: Warband available on these platforms. The builds are currently in an open beta testing phase, which players are encouraged to download and test through Steam by following these steps:

PATCH NOTES (1.21): New features: - Added a button to the left of the map selection that when clicked, brings up a menu of all of the available maps. When you select a map, it will take you back to the admin panel with that map selected. this will make navigating the map list easier, especially with number of custom maps selectable in the panel being fixed. - Added automatic friendly fire on and off depending on when you want it. If you leave the number at 0, it will not toggle the settings off and no. FF will turn off when the round ends. - Added the ability for admins to ban admins. this will have to be done through scripting by uncommenting the code. - Added a new admin weapon; Cannonball launcher. - Added a range of new items for server side modders to spawn like tea cups, and wooden training weapons - Added a new map Balance: - Improved the player hitbox, should reduce pokes. - Redone the cannonball hit detection a bit, balls hit much more accurate now both buildings and players/horses. if you crouch it is taken in account and a horse can be shot away under you. - Revered some of the changes of last patch in regards to melee - Reduced number of light infantry, partizani, and pirate numbers in Commander Battle - Gave rhine artillery train the correct swords. - Lights infantry and rifles have the same stats in Commander Battle - All arty troops should receive a buff from the arty officer. - Bandages swing faster and can no longer do a down attack.(cant block) - Build props were changed to make it easier to see where they will be when built. also changed their col meshes to make building easier. (example, the fence posts can be hit to build them) Fixed Bugs: - Fixed an issue with skirmishers with regards to class limits. - Fixed competitive scoring. in combination with for instance slays. - Fixed a bunch of issues with the admin panel setting the wrong settings. - Fixed an error message regarding highlanders in CB. - Improved teleporting doors. - Improved Rambo feature. you have an increase of 50% range of the rambo range when you have less than 4 bots. so if the range was 50 meters, you now have 75 meters. if you are the last one, you can attack where you please. - Fixed a bug with the royal prop boxes + fixed some strings for them. - Fixed doors not having physics after reset in some game modes. - Changed officer bonus to cav to only work on horseback and tweaked the bonus it provides in non CB modes. It now increases the speed of horses. - Made default custom maps better. - Fixed issue with the amount of custom maps you can select in the admin panel. - Fixed preset arty not working on the first round of a map. - Added some new sapper messages for planting props to show if your planting too fast, or on a bad location. - Fixed issue with musicians speed changing when it shouldn't while playing a song after getting a speed buff. - Fixed auto beacon not working properly when there were 2 players left. - Fixed birds not moving.

For the past 8 years, we have watched while our amazing multiplayer community has established and fostered an active competitive scene for Mount & Blade: Warband. We were so impressed by the dedication and efforts of our community that we decided to get directly involved by hosting the Battle of Bucharest LAN tournament last year, which was hugely successful and extremely well received!
We have decided that would like to move further in this direction and take a more hands-on approach with the competitive scene moving forward. That is why today we are excited to announce our involvement with a new online tournament brought to you by our friends at BladeCast_TV.

Napoleonic Wars has just received its largest update to date, bringing with it a host of bug fixes, game improvements, balance changes and a brand new faction: Rheinbund!

PATCH NOTES (1.2):
New Features
- Welcome message will be displayed when joining a server. The default message will display the id of the user.
- Commander battle now has musicians that play music and flag bearers.
- The server now logs when someone was teamwounded or their horse was teamwounded or teamkilled.
- A revive and respawn option was added for server admins.
- God mode was added. It makes you invincible and run faster.
- There is now a 2 second long restriction on how fast players can construct sapper props.
- A suicide button was added to the ESC menu.
- Added a a group fight mode.
- Added option to disable damage when player is to far away from squad in commander battle.
- Custom maps are now selectable in the admin panel. Server owners can choose how many maps people can vote on or amdins can select.
- The # of custom maps available is now 100 instead of 20!
- Admins can now limit how many people can play as artillery train.
- Admins can now limit line infantry from spreading in commander battles. They can only close in or spread back to the starting spacing.
- The server now logs when the map or round was changed.
- Artillery Guards were added. They have the same stats as a ranker, but only spawn with a bayonet, ammo, and sword.
- Added the ability for admins to have custom polls.
- Added a few new scene props like a pyramid and coconuts, palm trees, lilys and cattail.
- Added new usable sceneprops for spawning items/horses or cannons.
- For server owners added a lot more options: Custom buttons, custom chat, also custom usable scene props which server owners can make visible to clients.
- Added the ability for servers to define their own map names (in strings.txt) and it gets synced with players and admins.
- Added the ability to add custom flag names for your own conquest maps.
- Added teleporting door props for mappers to use.
- Added that server owners can add the CD Key Id's of their admins to their server console or server config file and they automatically get admin.
- Added the setting "competitive scoring". On map reset, scores don't get reset, when being teamkilled, it does not change the KD ratio.
- Added a system for mappers to define fog color on their maps.
- Bonuses now work in commander battle and bots provide bonuses when playing as the right class.
- Rewrote most of the explosion and other destruction scripts, blowing up the whole map will not cause huge lagspikes anymore.
- Reduced the server cpu usage overall to increase performance with high player count servers.
- Increased FPS across the board in all maps.
- Artillery horses don't run away anymore even when hit, normal horses also don't run away anymore, but do when hit.
- Added the "Rheinund" as a new faction to the game.

- Faster Artillery Horses
- Remade almost all collision meshes including the frigate.
- Prussian Landwehr now has pikes as an option.
- Added a new admin menu and rearranged some of the admin tools based on usage and importance.
- Refilling ammo now both refills ammo if they have any, and if they dont, gives them ammo for their weapons.
- Admin healing now heals a players horse, if they are mounted.
- Canister rounds now fire more horizontally and less vertically.
- Dragoons now have better athletics(2). All other cavalry and generals now have 1 athletics.
- Sailor armor was removed, and they were given standard infantry armor in its place.
- A few of the prussian hats were giving too much armor, those were changed to the standard infantry hats armor.
- Pistols damage was nerfed.
- All bayonets were made 136 length.
- Changed the collision mesh of troops to better fill the body out, and make the legs smaller.
- Instruments were found to be over powered, and thus had their melee stats nerfed.
- Sword lengths for cavalry were standardized. Light sabers are at 101 length. Heavy cavalry or other long cavalry swords are 110.
- Bavarian AI was nerfed in commander battle.
- French cavalry musket was brought on par with the Russian cavalry musket.
- Grenzers are now light infantry. they still maintain an interesting hybrid in stats compared to the other light infantry.
- We changed how many build points it takes to build certain props and adjusted their health.
- 1Handed axe is now larger, so it can hit props to do the damage it should.
- Prussia and Rheinbund now have cavalry muskets are a option for their rifleman.
- Birch of knowledge should now crush through more often.
- Heavy cavalry and light infantry had their number of bots lowered in commander battle, and partisans and sailors had theirs increased
- Marine artillery can now ride arty horses.
- Captains of the marines had their health fixed.
- Buffed bracing slightly.
- Heavy and medium horses are slightly more maneuverable.
- Removed small axes from opolocheniye in commander battle so they only use pikes and cavalry muskets.
Bug Fixes
- Class limits now work in commander battle.
- The map name should now work so the show game rules doesn't break when playing a modified map.
- Double flag glitch that caused servers to crash should be fixed.
- Fixed issue where players would continue to play music even after the map ended or was switched.
- Fixed various issues where scene props or agent ids were 0.
- Artillery resets properly both in height and slots. Swivel cannons should no longer fall into objects. Cannons should no longer start the round fake loaded.
- Plank towers are no longer possible.
- Officers voice spam and a few other units who used the same variable now yell every 5 seconds.
- You can no longer have infinite ammo with artillery.
- Earthworks can no longer be dug into the sky.
- Item are now given server side, which means no more cheating the random weapons generator, or avoiding items like clothes.
- You can no longer do the spyglass animation without a spyglass.
- Removed message for cheating, so it doesn't crash the server.
- The issue where the voltigeur nco for France was an officer was corrected.
- Build points should now reset properly when the map is reset.
- Non artillery classes can no longer unlimber artillery.
- Fixed some bugs with win/loose music not playing correctly.
- Removed failed loop on sapper props.
- Made it so a certain broken walls wont be selected when the version before it was damaged by an explosion or cannon.
- Boat health should now reset when the boat respawns.
- Particles now appear when the boat is hit by a cannon/explosive.
- Fixed an issue where a sunken boat can keep rotating if you hit it.
- Dummies now reset properly.
- Can no longer up attack with lance on horseback.
- Cannon flash is fixed.
- Class limits not working on some units when set to 0.
- Fixed bug where it showed lives left in other modes than siege.
- Fixed the bugs with cannon aiming, where it would aim far down or up or would spin around when placed on slope.
- Reset map now works properly on conquest gamemode.
- Conquest points cannot go negative anymore now.
- On reset map in siege defender lives are reset properly now.
- Fixed a large amount of respawn counter bugs, especially with siege.
- Fixed in siege that you can capture the fort even if there were actually defenders close to the flag.
- Fixed that bots can capture siege flags.
- Fixed the spawning bug in siege that you sometimes cannot spawn for no reason.
- Fixed the invisible banner problems.
- Fixed the bonuses, they take no performance anymore and don't cause any lag anymore, it is now recommended to have this setting on for balance.
- Fixed that destroyed doors would not loose their colmesh if destroyed by explosions.
- Fixed that players do not fall of horses when hit.

E3 is just around the corner now and this year we're back in force! For the first time at an event, we'll be giving hands-on demonstrations of battles in Bannerlord to the world's press. Look forward to our videos that will come out during E3 and hopefully the thoughts of those who try out the game!
TaleWorlds Entertainment will offer hands-on demonstrations of its upcoming title to press at the expo in Los Angeles, June 13-15. Attendees will experience Mount & Blade’s deep and intuitive combat system firsthand in an epic, large scale battle, featuring hundreds of on-screen combatants; supported by an all-new tailor made engine. Multiple gameplay videos will be shared during the event, giving fans a detailed look at the game’s field combat.

Thanks for watching the Battle of Bucharest 2017 last weekend! We are pleased with how successful the tournament was and really happy to see so many positive comments.
The event was organized by the Lithuanian Esport Federation and hosted at the PGL Studios in Bucharest. They did a fantastic job with everything, which allowed us to stay focused on Bannerlord. ⚔️
We'd like to extend our thanks to them, and everyone else involved in making it so memorable!
Battle of Bucharest, the first live Mount & Blade esports event, is already over – but the echoes of its battle cries can still be heard around the world! 20 players from 10 countries competed for $10,000 in prize money as well as for the Audience Choice Award. 120,000 unique viewers watched the live stream on May 20, 2017 through Facebook LIVE, YouTube LIVE and Twitch, with the overall daily reach exceeding 1,200,000 people – the tournament was covered by international media in 14 different languages.
Team Castellans emerged victorious in the TEAM category after a thrilling and surprising final against Apis Europae Yellow, who had previously knocked out French side, Unity, in a semi-final upset. Third place was won by Apis Europae Black, a sister-team of the runners-up. In the DUEL category, Pierre Lecler – acclaimed as one of the best individual M&B players in the world – beat Jordan Gibson 7-6 in a nerve-racking final. Mark Glasspole won the playoff for third place -- and also the Audience Choice Award, presented by GOG.com (based on 2,000 votes from the audience).

Four teams of five warriors and eight individual duelists made it through the qualifiers and are ready to fight for the honor of being the winners of the Battle of Bucharest, the first Mount & Blade live esports event. During 3 days, 128 duels and 26 team matches (total of 208 rounds) were fought in the qualifying rounds. That’s an approximate total of 125 hours of combat, more than 5 days – as a comparison, that’s like 15 Battles of Hastings or 5 Battles of Grunwald fought one after another! Today Battle of Bucharest releases the schedule for its final round, to be celebrated in Bucharest on May 20.
The Battle of Bucharest is the first live Mount & Blade esports tournament. The event is organized by the Lithuanian Esport Federation in partnership with the game’s developers TaleWorlds Entertainment. The finals of the tournament are hosted at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania with the support of Intel and G-Core Labs.
20 players will compete live in Bucharest, Romania on May 20 in the team mode, and 8 players will compete in the duel mode – playing Mount & Blade: Warband. Mount & Blade: Warband has a long history of competitive play, spanning right back to its closed beta phase in 2009. A strong and resilient core of players have carved out a rich history, tracking the rise and fall of great players and teams.
Today, the competitive scene is comprised of thousands of players, many with hundreds and hundreds of hours of playtime logged, boasting a level of skill that it is both impressive to witness and fearsome to oppose. With The Battle of Bucharest, our intention is to pave the path for the competitive aspect of the game to develop further, offering the top players a chance to showcase their talents to the wider community all over the world.

Mount & Blade: Warband version 1.172 is out now! This update brings the higher resolution textures, we used in the console release, over to Windows, macOS and Linux.
The majority of textures aren't affected, but you should notice some improvements in the fidelity and aspect ratio of the UI, and a selection of in-game items!
If, for any reason, you are experiencing issues with the patch, you can try lowering your “Texture Detail” setting in the game's launcher, or simply navigate to your Mount & Blade: Warband installation folder ("browse local files" on Steam) and delete or rename the folder "TexturesHD".

Hello all! We are so excited to be bringing Reforged Edition out for the Viking Conquest DLC today. Over the past 7 months since it released, Viking Conquest has made a massive transformation and Reforged Edition marks the biggest change yet with such a long list of improvements and fixes. - Expanded Multiplayer New scenes and Raid game mode. Improvements to the UI and additional options for server admins to take control of the invaders in Invasion mode.
- More Immersion Special player traits and the ability to spread rumours to influence people throughout the land. More lively scenes with domestic animals walking around. Extra information about your companions and the option of a second player outfit for use outside of battle, as well as much more roleplay and many more immersive features.
- Customise Your Level of Difficulty and Goals Set your own goals to become an Infamous Raider, Strong King, Beloved Warrior and more. Customise your difficulty options to cater your own experience and challenge.

Hello all! The much awaited update for Viking Conquest has now entered beta on Steam. The update fixes more and more issues on all released platforms and should improve performance as well as stability, with an extensive list of changes. In addition to all the fixes, there are a number of additions and improvements to the game! Hello Bladers, We are receiving a rising number of reports about phishing (scam) attempts lately, where a user, typically named "TaleWorlds Ipek" is sending Steam messages to people, asking for money in exchange for Bannerlord Beta access and a copy of the game. This is not a TaleWorlds developer, these are not legitimate proposals. You should block and ignore the user (and report them, if you would like to help). We have already messaged Steam and made reports directly, so hopefully this should be dealt with promptly. Just for some guidance, here are some things that TaleWorlds as a company can 100% guarantee never to do: -Request money from anyone over Steam Chat -Request payment from anyone via Skins from another game (seriously...) -Open public beta testing, without announcing it on our website or forums We are a professional company, that is not how we do things. Use your common sense, and always be cautious when someone is offering you something that seems too good to be true. If anyone was a victim of any of these attempts, they should contact Steam for help. TaleWorlds cannot provide any assistance, we are just trying out best to get this user removed/banned. This patch fixes a large number of issues and provides a lot of improvements. It is savegame compatible but some of you who have saves from the first release version may encounter some errors.
