Runtime Branch Release 556.3

Re-release of 556.3 on Steam "Runtime" branch. To access: [olist]

  • Back up your save file
  • Right Click "ClickRaid" and select "Properties"
  • Select the "Beta" tab
  • Enter beta code "ibackedupmysave"
  • Select the "runtime" branch from the drop down [/olist] This branch will host the new game updates until all further runtime issues have been identified and resolved. More stable then "daily" branch, but still some risk so please do actually back up your save before switching branches. Let us know what issues if any you find so we can integrated fixes asap and resume our normal updates asap.

    Runtime Compatibility

    In the last update, we were force to upgrade the Runtime Engine on which ClickRaid is written. Behind the scenes, this is has been a long time coming, and we have been delaying as long as possible, as we have already identified that much of the initial code is written in a way which is incompatible with current runtimes. Unfortunately, a bug in the runtime being used prevents us from making any further changes to the game. We cannot even recompile on the old runtime with the old code! Thus we spent extra time attempting to ensure full compatibility with the new runtime, so that we can continue updating the game. However, when we released the latest update, we found for a small percentage of cases, game breaking compatibility issues remained. We have rolled back to previous build, and have worked with players individually to restore them. With this effort complete, we will now create and maintain a new App branch where we will publish future updates. Thus, any fixes or new features will be applied only to this branch, however, we also understand that this branch still contains some runtime incompatibilities, and we hope to leverage this to work through the remaining incompatible code so that we can get to the point where we can once again push a stable version to default App branch. Alternatively, there has also been some work begun on a Unity-based rewrite. There are a significant number of benefits of pursuing a Unity-based rewrite, namely community driven recreation or even complete changes to mechanics and balance. The maintenance team has worked closely with Slikey on this project, and gained support and blessing for taking it in a community-driven direction, mobile-first support, Steam/Discord/Kong integrations, etc. As with any such project, the trade off of pursuing it would be the continued slow down of work on the current version. We are quite interested in hearing your opinions on the matter, please comment so we can make informed decisions!

It wasn't calculating the full cost of the levels it was buying it was simply buying the highest level it could and ignoring all the levels costs up to that point(oops) -Improved all damage / preloading to be instant. No more long delays while loading or Evo buying. -Gold DLC gear upgrade check was checking 60 times a second.... Fixed -Moved Camelot hero damage to its own calculation to prevent an infinite number bug that might have sprung up in the near future. -Late game HP scaling increased slightly. -Removed the floor of the slow increase to late game HP increase to be more gradual. -Fixed a mem leak cause by something printing to debug log for those close to crashing due to an infinite bug from Hero XP -Evo menu damage display strings are displayed correctly. -Can now middle click on class names in player list to set XP target. -Game will auto prestige on each new game update going forward.     Update 1.1.78

    -Slight increase to Token spawn rate(was using old game speed value) -Re-worked the Tome generation/upgrades for better scaling. This resulted in a slight buff to lower level tomes and a nerf to higher level ones. Should find tome upgrades every 1k. Last scaling was fine til around 12k then it would be anywhere between 1-5k before you would upgrade it. -Added a timer to kill off pesky raidsouls that dont find a home when clicking the chest after 3 seconds(yes they get refunded to you) -Slight improvement to speedhack logic to be sure not to kick legit people. -Fix for guildlist not showing up after leaving a guild. Remove gambler at the end of season. 6. Add more unique quests to the game to unlock what would have been season pets and cursors.(Monthly) 7. Add Tier Leaderboards so the number 1 spot is always withing 1k levels :) 8. Give out better rewards for those that place in competitions. 9. Add Elemental dungeons that let you earn a unique pet. 10. Add Dragon dungeons 11. Improve Guild Interface 12. Re-work the UI 13. Translate the game into other languages. 14. Anyhow this patch will hopefully cover all current issues. -Adv damage calculation fix had a + instead of a * for the fire arrow mult. -Ninja finally getting a buff(sorry needed to see how it compared to other classes wasnt trying to ignore anyone, as i said several time in chat he will be fixed). Consider this a test of a fix. -Ninja will now buff firearrow to increase its stacks by hit projectile count and also for each level it will decrease the delay between the firearrow DOT ticks. -Serverhost fix based on all the information i gathered the FPS drop might be due to just the sheer amount of packets the host has to send and calculate per second. The realtime mouse cursor movement seems to be the largest factor so im decrease its sync by about half. Once again if this doesnt fix the issue ill revert back but it will make other cursors movement slightly choppy and in the future i could fix this by handling movement like pet movement. -General performance tweaks - I started using the same calculation that speeds up class projectiles on the heros with some success at decrease the amount of hero projectiles on the screen. Also i have removed the Blue XP objects from the monsters and am now just directly calculating the xp. -Fixed merchant Xp not saving... Oops... -Fixed some surfaces last night that wernt being cleared when they needed to be.

    Sorry forgot to update patch notes yesterday.... -Added ability to migrate hosts in games -A few bug fix builds to address bugs it added everything should be good now -Fixed a chat bug.. Anyhow the way migration works currently is that when a host creates a server and a few users join the host must choose someone in the group that will take over as Host in the event that he gets disconnected or has to leave. The entire group will see that he has chosen someone as the blue check box will have a green checkmark in it. I'll eventually start tracking if your able to host and make this completely automatic but for now its up to the current game host to make sure someone is lined up to take over. Remember not everyone can host due to some routers so communicate and see who wants to be the backup :)

Next we took your max level class and then compared each classes level to yours. If they were higher they were reduced... If they were lower you recieved the full bonus. If 2 of the same class existed the same rules apply and you would get those additional levels. Subclass worked the same way except it used your max level class/2 New system: Works the same as the last except how the max level is calculated. The new system Takes all your levels and all of your current XP and adds it up into one pool containing all the Class XP you have ever earned. Then it runs it through the same leveling formula all the heros go through(as if you played 1 class since you started playing a class). This spits out the highest level you could have achieved and is now your Max level to compare to others with. The problem with the 2nd system was it punished you for not playing a single class. New system lets you play anything you want without preventing you from recieving the buff levels you deserve. This system had to be developed to prevent high levels from making the game to easy on the lower level players that were just hitting 650.

    Notice: There was about a 7min window that a test build went live loading from a different save file because i was testing the game as a new player(i didn't wanna start over). Anyhow when a bug was discovered i pushed a build out quick to fix it but forgot to change the save game back to its normal name. Anyhow was only about a 7min window that that test build was live so noone should have been affected just letting you know...   • ClickRaid is a Competitive Multi-player clicker game inspired by Clicker Heroes and Tap Titans. The game currently has 15 heroes to unlock and 3 types of currency to keep progression smooth. XP is obtained by killing monsters. XP is used to level/unlock your heroes. Boss souls are obtained from Boss's after stage 75 and can be obtained by hitting the prestige button, this resets the game and starts you back at stage 1 and will allow you to unlock artifacts if you have enough Boss souls. The final currency, Raid Souls, are obtained primarily earned in Multiplayer when a boss spawns its Raid form(greatly increased HP), other players are notified that your fighting a raid boss and if the battle is won you are awarded 2 Raid souls while everyone else in your party is rewarded with 1. A second way to earn Raid Souls are competitions that start every other day and, once enrolled, allow you to compete for the highest stage over the coarse of 24 hours, the Top 3 Players receive 100 Raid Souls while the top 50 receive 50.
