This update makes the window resizable to address a UI clipping issue. To run Billion Beat in Windowed Mode, click the checkbox in the launcher before starting the game.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #16

This patch fixes a few issues with Fight #8 on Normal:


  • Fixes an issue where the eighth opponent could be infinitely strong-punched into submission on Normal Mode. He'll now duck under careless Strong Punches. Yes, this boss is indeed male.
  • Fixes an issue where your fist wouldn't disappear when getting bit by the eighth opponent on Normal Mode.
  • Fixes an issue where the player couldn't move after hurting their low fist on Normal Mode.
  • Adds an extra check in Arcade Mode to set it to Normal if it's somehow set to Easy.


This brings the version of the game up to 01.00.04.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #15

This update fixes the following issues:


  • Fixes a bug where Li'l Zellies, the flying robots seen in the 10th fight, no longer update when the game is paused (for real this time).
  • Fixes an issue where the first time beating a Tournament would always reward an S-Rank because the first time bonus was factored into the ranking calculation.
  • Fixes an issue in which the Beat Arcade Mode achievement would unlock on Normal and even if the player lost some matches.
  • Removes the irrelevant Easy Mode tab from the High Score screen (it's not possible to play Arcade Mode on Easy.)


This brings the version of the game up to 01.00.03.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #14

This update fixes the following issues:


  • Fixes a bug where Li'l Zellies (the robotic companions of the 10th fighter) would keep updating even when the game is paused.
  • Fixes Mutant's Hyper Machine text on Hard Mode.


Additionally, a few Achievement descriptions have been updated to be more accurate.

This brings the version number of the game up to 01.00.02.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #13

This patch fixes the following issues:


  • Fixes a bug in which the achievement for beating Easy Mode was not properly unlocking.
  • Fixes the final boss's "Avoid Damage" Hyper Mission.
  • Fixes an issue in which using Rapid Punches against the final boss's second form's hand would put it into an infinite stunlock state.
  • Adds a check to see if the player's Fist Level is above the maximum level, and resets it to the maximum level if so to avoid bugs.


This brings the current build number up to 01.00.01.

This patch merely fixes an issue in which Vedronicha's color-swap animation wasn't showing properly in the Lawker Room.

Billion Beat Final Update

Behold, Vedronicha is hitting the circuits!

As the Normal Mode character, Vedronicha's fighting style is a lot easier to use than the Hard Mode character.


  • She can charge up Strong Attacks to hold onto them indefinitely and release them at any time. This makes her perfectly suited to taking down enemies that charge at you (landing a strong will be an immediate knockdown regardless of their health.)
  • Her Rapid Punches and Hyper Punches have been combined into a single easy-to-use technique. If a Rapid/Hyper connects with a stunned opponent (or hits as a counter), Vedronicha will automatically unleash a devastating flurry of blows.


This brings the game version up to 01.00.00.

With this update, Billion Beat is now officially 100% complete! Bugs will be addressed if and when they arise, but that's it for new gameplay features.

Billion Beat Easy Mode Major Update

Behold, Baby Weet is hitting the circuits in Billion Beat! This is the Easy Mode character who's significantly easier to use than the existing fighter.

She can only dodge left or right. High attacks will automatically go over her head. She can also only attack left or right, and all her attacks are low.

This brings the version up to 00.05.00.

Billion Beat "Bug Fix" #11

This one ain't exactly a bug fix, but it's too small to be a real "Update" and would steal thunder from the Tronix announcement.

You can now reset a fist's Upgrade Points in the Lawker Room by pressing D on the keyboard or R3 on the controller while navigating the menu. It costs 5000 Hype and can be repeated indefinitely without an increase in price.

Go nuts and redistribute your Upgrade Points for deeper strategy!
(Or just don't use Upgrade Points at all in Arcade Mode if you want some extra challenge!)

This brings the version up to 00.04.02.

Behold, Tronix are hitting the world of Billion Beat! Buy and equip these overpowered cyborg parts to gain a variety of abilities:

Scope-Type Tronix


  • Digit Displayer: See numbers on UI + enemy defensive values
  • Incoming Indicator: See UI indicators for enemy attacks
  • Smeniscope: See enemy's smenis + # skeets


Hat-Type Tronix

  • Dynamic Dynamo: Charge Energy when dodging
  • Shining Shield: Recharging energy shield that negates damage when full
  • Final Fury: Survive knockout once


Fist-Type Tronix

  • Fortifist: Fist no longer gets hurt
  • Healing Hand: Restores health based on damage inflicted
  • Clitical Clapper: Critical hit chance for bonus damage

Billion Beat Bug Fix #8

This fix addresses the following potentially game-breaking bugs:


  • Fixes an issue in which if the player gets knocked down while returning from a dodge, they'll cancel their death animation and not die. The enemy could get confused by this and never resume the fight.
  • ACTUALLY fixes an issue in which Tronix Master wouldn't jump back in after a lightening storm, allowing him to attack the player while remaining invincible.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #7

This fix addresses the following issues:


  • Swag Master's clothes were much weaker than they should be. His glasses and arrow-hat now have much more durability.
  • Fixes an issue where Tronix Master would fail to jump in after a lightning storm, making him unhittable.
  • Fixes the Game Over screen so the prompt says "Press Start" when a controller is plugged in.
  • Fixes an issue in which the SFX on the Game Over screen were always at max volume despite settings.
  • Fixes an issue in which trophies were not lit up after clearing a tournament on the Select Screen.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #6

This fix addresses the following issues:


  • Swag Master was bugged and was not properly initiating his ultimate form. Now, he'll properly enter this mode when his Rage Meter fills up.
  • Fixed an issue in which 12 or so SFX would play simultaneously right when you start a match, blowing out your eardrums if you're using headphones. My bad, y'all!
  • UI prompts in the Lawker Room will now show the correct controller inputs.
  • The Results Screen will now show a "Press Start" prompt (rather than "Press Enter") if a controller is connected.
  • Fixes an issue in which the UI selector would flash if you went to the High Score screen right away on the Title Screen.


This brings the version number up to 00.03.03.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #5

The two new Mascoaches were missing Game Over messages for each fighter, and the Game Over screen defaulted to Baby T's dialogue. This fix adds in the proper Game Over text for Lady G and Chilly D.

This also fixes a bug in which the results screen at the end of a match displays a negative Hype total. It is not possible for a match's Hype to be less than double the ante, so this screen now shows the correct value.

Also fixes an issue in which Punkito's pre-fight blurb wasn't properly randomized.

This brings the version up to 00.03.02.

  • (Hopefully) fixes an issue in which the enemy remains invincible after jumping off. If you see this again, please let me know ASAP.
  • Fixes a bug where the player gets stuck while dodging.
  • Fixes a bug in which multiple opponents in fight #4 could be active simultaneously.
  • Fixes a UI issue in which a Mascoach would remain in the lower-left-hand corner of the screen indefinitely.

Billion Beat Update #3

Behold, there are now two new Mascoaches with unique personalities and styles that can be selected when starting a new game.


  • Lady G is a refined princess with a sweet yet somewhat aloof demeanor. Her advice can be moderately useful. She would never curse in a billion years.
  • Chilly D is a down-to-earth dude who's super outgoing and loves to blaze tree. His advice is somewhat useful. He doesn't swear outside of saying "hella."
  • Baby T's still available. He's a swearing, salty asshole that'll definitely insult you when you play poorly. However, his advice is by far the most useful.


What's your flava? This brings the game version up to 00.03.00.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #3

Fixes the following issues:


  • On Hard Mode, the final form of the final boss was bugged and was unbeatable. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed an off-by-one issue with the Practice Screen where you couldn't select the most recent fighter.
  • Added triggers to fix certain Achievement unlocks.

Billion Beat Update #2

Behold, damage indicators now show when an attack is blocked (shield), when it's a counter (explosion), or when it whiffs. Also, damage numbers can now be turned on/off in the options menu.

You can confirm you're on the latest version by looking for 00.02.03 in the upper-right-hand corner of the title screen.

The following bugs have also been fixed:


  • Fixed Game Over Screen so that the Mascoach shuts up when leaving. There used to be a bug in which the Mascoach would keep talking indefinitely when exiting the Game Over screen.

Billion Beat Bug Fix #1

Behold, Billion Beat Bug Bash #1! This ups the version number to 00.02.02.


  • Fixed a bug where starting a Tournament would go to the Lie-Berry instead. My bad, y'all!
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to win a match yet still get negative Hype. Now, you'll always receive at least your Ante back.
  • Fixed a bug where the UI on the Arcade Select Screen would go apeshit due to the aforementioned negative hypes. Now, even if your save file has negative hype matches, it should display 0's instead and function properly.
  • Made loading screen animations much faster.

Billion Beat Update #1

Behold, the new Story Beatz feature! Visit the Lie-Berry screen in Story Mode to learn your opponents' backstories. Every time you punch an enemy, it types out one word of their story. Learn what drives your opponents by repeatedly fisting them in the face!

The following bugs have also been fixed:


  • Fixed an issue where changing options in Story Mode would make the music go apeshit.
  • Fixed an issue in which the player could get stuck in a Yes/No menu.
  • Fixed Lawker Room so that it points to the correct left/right fist.
  • Lawker Room no longer requires an additional load when visiting it for the first time in a session.
  • Controller analog input was way too sensitive. Now it's more reasonable.
