The 1.1 update - Out Now!

We are happy to announce that the 1.1 update for Hadean Tactics is now live! This update brings a ton of new content, including new relics, events, music, and more. We've also made several fixes and balance adjustments to improve the overall gameplay experience.

Without further ado, here are the highlights for the 1.1 update:

[h2]Battle Log[/h2]
You can now view a detailed log of the battle, including damage dealt, healing done, and status effects applied.


[h2]More Relics[/h2]
As requested by many players, we bring you MORE relics!


[h2]New events[/h2]
Introducing new events and some reworks, more to come!


[h2]Hero Variant Endings[/h2]
All 6 Hero variants now have their own endings.


[h2]New Music[/h2]
As mentioned before we've started working with Fogheart, a talented game music composer, to bring you a great OST experience.
Right now we've added a new main menu theme, battle theme, and a boss track. The plan is for each Circle and each boss to have their own tracks. These will be steadily released as they are completed.

[h2]Score Breakdown[/h2]
After each run, you can view a breakdown of your score and see how you earned each point.


[h2]Shareable Custom Heroes[/h2]
You can now share your custom Heroes with other players, allowing you to try out new strategies, and share yours.


[h2]Mastery Plus[/h2]
We've added a new Mastery system for custom Heroes that allows you to go over the default Mastery 10.


[h2]New languages[/h2]
We now have 3 new languages:
- Japanese - Thanks to MASABO!
- Spanish (Spain) - Thanks to Jorge Alonso!
- Turkish - Thanks to Gkhan Kocaman!

[h2]Fixes, Balancing, and Polish[/h2]
We've made several fixes and balance adjustments to improve the overall gameplay experience. Some of the most notable changes include:
-- Wanderer units can now be removed from the Party, but will run away at the end of battle if they are left on the Bench.
-- You can now add Neutral cards to your Custom Deck.
-- Skipping Hero Upgrade and Banners now gives 50 Gold.
-- Changed Money Or Life event (added option to leave an ally behind to run away from the Bandits).
-- You can now right-click a map node to mark it as favorite.
-- Ephemeral clones now retain base damage from the source unit.
-- You can now sell runes during events.
-- Fixed Black Market inflation (overpriced Zombies).
-- Fixed sometimes not being able to get a specific Wing to access the end game.
-- Added final Boss achievements.

We're back! And with some great news!



First we want to start by saying thank you - you all made the 1.0 release of the game amazing! Thank you also for your patience and continued support. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we've been working hard to make your experience even better.

Hadean Tactics is now out of Early Access!

The day has finally arrived: Hadean Tactics is now out of Early Access with its 1.0 update! The fully released game features 3 Heroes, 6 Circles, 9 Bosses, Custom Heroes and Decks, along with two different game modes and the Weekly Hero.

[h2]The Journey of Early Access[/h2]

Three years ago, we challenged ourselves to make a deckbuilder game. One year later, we released it on Steam with these features:

Fast forward to today, after many ups and downs, sweat and tears, we now have:

For our Chinese and Brazilian players, we'd like to let you know that the game can now be played in Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese! Speaking of translations, we have reopened community translations to bring Hadean Tactics to even more languages! We are only a two person team, so the community's help is invaluable in localizing the game. Early Access Update 0.6: Controller Support is now available!

We are thrilled to announce that controller support is now available for all Hadean Tactics players! This has been a very big task that required a deep dive into the game's infrastructure. After a lot of refinements, we're finally ready to roll it out for everyone.

This update also brings the Compendium rework - every unit in Hadean Tactics now has its very own file in the Ethernal Records. Unlock the entries as you play and uncover more about the units that shape your journey.

We've also been working on the final 1.0 update behind the scenes - this upcoming release will feature the final boss battle, and the ending of the game. In the meantime, over the next few weeks, we'll post a few more updates as we continue to enhance the Hadean Tactics experience. We're bringing official localization to Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese (more languages to come in the future), and working towards Steam Deck verification, among other improvements.

Happy Summer!

We've just put version 0.6 up on the beta branch! The most significant feature of this update is the controller support. Implementing this has been a big challenge, but we're thrilled to say that it's finally ready for testing!

Right now this update is very fresh so you may encounter some roughness and bugs, but we'll work on it together over the next few weeks to polish and fine-tune it.

This is part of our bigger 1.0 update, which beyond having a lot of polish, QOL, and balancing, will also feature the true final battle and ending of the game. We'll be adding these to the beta over the next couple of months.

Road to 1.0: News on controller support, localization, and more

Hello everyone!

We hope you've been enjoying your time with Hadean Tactics! Just wanted to say hi and provide an update on what's been keeping us busy lately.

Firstly, we have been working on the controller support and console port. It's been a challenging process and has required a great deal of our time and attention. Good news is we're approaching the final stages for the controller support and soon it will be available on the beta branch. We will share another announcement here as soon as it's up.





We've also been preparing the game's texts for translation. As said before, we will initially be localizing to Simplified Chinese, German, and Brazilian Portuguese, and we plan to gradually add more languages as time goes on.

We also want to give you a heads up that the price of Hadean Tactics will be increasing soon, before the 1.0 release. We've added a ton of content and value since the beginning of Early Access, so we believe the new price will reflect that.

Last but not least - from May 14th until May 21st, you can grab Hadean Tactics at a 25% discount. This is a great opportunity to dive into the game if you haven't already.

Upcoming 1.0 Update, Console Port, and More

Hello everyone!

We hope you've been enjoying Hadean Tactics and all the updates we've brought you so far. Today, we have some exciting news to share about our upcoming 1.0 release, as well as our continued commitment to improving the game with smaller patches.

Firstly, we want to apologize for our recent absence. We've had to deal with some personal issues, which took us away from development for a while. However, we're back on track and working harder than ever to bring you the best game experience possible!

As we move closer to the 1.0 release, we're focusing on polishing and fine-tuning the game, as well as implementing quality of life improvements. We're working hard on adding official translations to several languages, which we know many of you have been eagerly waiting for. The first ones to be implemented will be Simplified Chinese, followed by German and Brazilian Portuguese, and we will keep adding new languages over time.

Additionally, we're thrilled to announce that we're working on controller support for Hadean Tactics. This means you'll soon be able to enjoy our game from the comfort of your couch, with your favorite controller in hand!

But that's not all! We've heard your requests, and we're also in the process of porting Hadean Tactics to consoles. We will get the game Deck Verified, for you Steam Deck players out there, and we're also aiming for an Xbox and Switch release.

As we continue to work on the 1.0 update, we'll keep releasing smaller patches to address any bugs or issues that may arise. Your feedback is invaluable in this process, so please keep sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. You can post here on our Steam community or on our Discord.

The Warlock Update

Hello everyone!

The Warlock update is finally here, bringing you the third and final main Hero for the game! We know you've been waiting for this, so we're very excited to finally share it with you.

We also want to let you know that we're participating in #TurnBasedFest and the Game Development World Championship! As part of the festival, we're running a special 25% discount for 5 days, until December 12th. This is a great opportunity to grab the game at a discounted price and try out the new Warlock Hero.

For the future, we want to focus on bringing controller support and officially adding localization to a few languages. After that, we will be polishing the game and gearing up for the 1.0 launch, where we will be bringing you the final two Circles and the last battle against the true boss.

Autumn Sale 2022

Hello everyone!

The Steam Autumn Sale starts today! Hadean Tactics will be 25% off until November 29th. It's another good opportunity to grab the game on the discounted Early Access price before 1.0!

We are working hard on the Warlock update, and it's getting ready to be released soon. As we stated before, besides the new Hero, his cards and playstyle, it will feature new units, new game modes, the event revamp with 40+ new events, and more.

Beta 0.5 Now Available

Hello everyone!

Today's the day! We've just put the Warlock update up on the beta branch!

This initial beta release includes the Warlock Hero with around 70 new cards, the Events revamp with 40+ new events, two different Random modes for runs, etc.

We've changed a few things that we believe will make it better to handle balancing in the future. The most impactful were Boss relics and non-Hero units' upgrades. Those things were tweaked to prevent the player's power spike after the first Circle that was causing a lot of trouble. Keep in mind that these are not set in stone, so if you have any feedback about them please feel free to share.

Right now everything is very fresh so it may feel a bit rough with loads of bugs, but we will work on it together to finetune it. We also will be adding the remaining content gradually in the next couple of weeks to the beta branch that includes Alatar's variants (the Spellslinger and the Necromancer), more cards, new units to recruit, even more events, and such.

How to access: Switch to the beta branch on the game's properties on Steam.



The game should update automatically to the beta branch.

You can report bugs and give us suggestions on our Discord.

Hadean Tactics on Tacticon + 0.5 Beta tomorrow

Hello everyone!

Today we've got a couple of news for you.

First, Hadean Tactics is participating in Tacticon! Tacticon is an online event featured right here on Steam, all about tactical and strategy games, and we are very happy to be a part of it!

To celebrate, we will be running a 25% discount for the duration of Tacticon, from September 22nd to September 26th. Now's your chance to grab the game before the 1.0 release!


Next, after the long wait, we want you all to know that, tomorrow, we are dropping the beta version for the Warlock update, version 0.5! We apologize for the delay - we ran into some office space issues that slowed us down considerably. Now that we are almost all set up, the final stretch of development to launch should run smoothly.

After this update, the plan is to focus on polishing, balancing, QoL, official localization, the true final boss, and the ending of the game. The game will achieve it's final form around February 2023.

We will be posting another announcement here on Steam as soon as the beta is up, and will also be pinging all Beta players on our Discord, if you want to be notified directly.

Hadean Tactics on Tiny Teams

Hello everyone!

Today we've got a couple of news for you, and more info on the Warlock update!

[h3]Tiny Teams[/h3]

We are happy to announce that we will be participating in the Tiny Teams event this year! As some of you may already know, we are a self-published small team of 2 people working hard to bring this game to its full potential.

The game will be 25% off during the event!

The awesome people at Yogscast have also selected Hadean Tactics to be featured in an official livestream, so tune into twitch.tv/yogscast on Thursday 4th 11AM - 2PM BST if you want to join in.

[h3]Development[/h3]

We've been doing some research and after lots of fiddling around we've finally implemented a way to patch the current build while working on the new stuff.

No more waiting for a major update before getting your bugs fixed! This will greatly benefit the game in the long run.

With the new change in workflow, we've just pushed a build with a few fixes for you!

Warlock's Update, although taking a bit more time than we anticipated, is coming along nicely. I know you guys are excited to get your hands on the new Hero so, to go along with the sneak peeks from part 1, here are some more previews of it!

Hadean Tactics Going Rogue

Hello everyone!

Just want to drop by to say that we are working on the next major update!
In this update, the main star will be the third Hero. He will be focused on Spells, Summons and Elemental shenanigans.

There are a lot of other cool things we will be implementing as well, among them are the Random Draft Mode (random Hero/Deck) and the revamp of the Question Mark Events.
There isn't much to show yet but soon we will have a post preview of what's coming just like we did with the Crypt update.

We also want to let you guys know that we are participating in the Going Rogue event and we will be running a nice discount of 25% during its duration. It's a great opportunity to grab the game cheaper before the 1.0 drop!

The Crypt Update

The Crypt update is here with Hero and Deck creation, 4th circle, new bosses and more!

Version 0.4 Beta Now Available

Hello everyone!

Just letting you know that the Beta for 0.4 is up on the beta branch!

We have the Crypt with custom Hero and Deck, four new bosses, a new area, new relics, new alliances, and a whole bunch of new stuff, changes, and balancing.


How to access: Switch to the beta branch on the game's properties on Steam.



The game should update automatically to the beta branch.

-There is a bunch of stuff that is still being worked on, like the Hero Expedition, custom deck, text for collecting Wings, etc
We will be updating as we test.

Winter Sale 2021 and Update Preview+

Hello everyone!

Today marks the start of the Steam Winter Sale! Hadean Tactics will be 25% off from today until Jan 5th, 2022. Happy Holidays!

We're also bringing you more info on the next update! We decided to take some extra time before releasing it to include some of the recent feedback, and finish up some features that we've been working on for quite some time now.

Our prediction is that the update will enter beta testing in a couple of weeks. You can join our Discord to keep up to date with the beta and to discuss the game with the community and us.

Here's what is coming:

[h2] Custom Hero and Custom Deck[/h2]
Using Blood Crystals, earned through runs and quests, you will be able to create and customize a new Hero, with personalized stats, alliances, skills, and appearance.



You will also have the ability create a custom Deck that can be used by any Hero, custom or vanilla.



[h2] The last three Wings[/h2]
The children of Luciferos are all here - Astaroth, Beelzebub and Succor join the fight against the Hero of Hell and can be found as bosses on any Circle.



[h2] New relics[/h2]
A new set of relics is entering the pool!



[h2] Wallpapers[/h2]
A preview of wallpapers that will show up on the main menu and will be available in full as Steam trading cards.



As a reminder, after this update, there will be one more before the full release of the game. The last update will include the third and final Hero - with it's unique units and deck.

Autumn Sale 2021 and Update Preview

Hadean Tactics on Steam Tabletop Fest 2021

Today is a special promo day, featuring the Steam Tabletop Fest 2021 and an update on the next update.

Hadean Tactics Update - Localization, visual improvements, fixes, and more

Hello everyone!

We have started the process of localization, which was a major goal for us. So far, we have Brazilian Portuguese, German, Simplified Chinese, Russian, and French. This translation is not yet complete - it's starting out with a machine translation, so a lot of things are wonky right now. Our community is working with us to iron out the kinks. If you want to contribute, please consider joining our Discord!

Your feedback is super important to us, so, based on that, we're working hard to improve the look of the game. So, the Circles have gotten a visual revamp! Most of the previous assets have been replaced, and we'd love to know what you think.

As for gameplay and quality of life, we've also added a damage preview for the Slides and other damage cards, and you can now hold Shift+Z to select a target for all of your units; there are also many other fixes, gameplay changes, and balancing.

And aside from all that, we're also working on our next major content update - there is a lot of new and cool stuff on the horizon that we're excited to bring to you all.

A small update on the next update

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give you all a small update on the state of development.

For this past month, we've been working on adding new content and improving the gameplay experience.

The next update will include the new Hero, with her own deck and units, with a unique playstyle! If everything goes right, this update should see the light of day by the end of this month!

We are also working on getting the game translated ASAP. Our initial goal is to include German, Simplified Chinese, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.

We wanted to thank you all for the continuous feedback and support you've been giving us, and for your patience with the next update.

With this update, we have made some changes to the roadmap to better reflect the current stage of development.

Every run you finish is now logged on the Stats tab in the Compendium, to be viewed at any time. Check how you did on your runs, who you had on your party, the relics you got, show off your victories to your friends!

You can now make custom key binds to maximize your pro gamer moves.
