Dear Players, Were thrilled to bring you our Christmas update! First, a big thank-you to everyone who shared their feedback after launch. Over the past few weeks, weve been hard at work implementing your most-requested improvements, and were excited to share whats new!
Unit Formations
One of the top requests has been the ability for units to move in formations. While we explored various approaches in the past, we hadnt found a method we were happy withuntil now! With significant changes to our pathfinding system, we took a deep dive and discovered a solution we love. From now on, units will automatically arrange themselves in formation when reaching their destination. We believe this is a fantastic first step and are eager to hear your thoughts on it. Potential follow-ups include locking unit speeds for a more cohesive movement or offering greater customization options. However, speed locking has its challengesimagine needing to flee, but faster units are held back unnecessarily.

The Cannon
Its clear that many of you were eagerly awaiting the cannon when playing missions, so we made it a priority! As of this update, the cannon is available to unlock at Tier 3. Youll also find perks in the tech tree to tailor it to your playstyle.
Vibrancy
Weve heard how much you love the vibrant visuals on our Steam page and wanted to bring that same level of color and detail to the game itself. After experimenting, weve implemented three changes that we believe hit the mark:
- Enhanced color grading for richer visuals.
- Improved fog effects, now applied across all biomes.
- Upgraded terrain textures with detailed normal maps.
On the right, youll see the updated version, featuring bolder colors, more detailed terrain, and striking fog effects. Wed love to hear your thoughts on these updatesfeedback is always welcome!

Dear players, We are thrilled to announce that Arcane Wilds is now available in Early Access available to play for everybody. This means you can now play: 1) Arcane Wilds' unique mission mode in which you play solo or with up to three friends and choose your own adventure and customize your faction and your own home island to your preferences. Two different factions are available for play. 2) Academy: A set of scenarios which acts as a tutorial but also as challenges where you can earn lots of gold medals and show how good you play the game. 3) Custom: You can play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and FFA online, in LAN or offline with or without AI players. Today a big update has arrived which revamps the mission reward system and the academy, while also bringing a variety of balance changes. Update 0.4.6 makes building structures much easier by having builders pick up supplies automatically. Additionally, there are now animated particles whenever items move.
