- Unexpected behavior of the character dancing in front of the Mirror, Notebook, or Boxes has been fixed.
- The school map that always opened on the second floor has been corrected.
- Achievement "Light Annoys Those Who Don't Have It" has been fixed, now it can be acquired by meeting the requirements, at the end of the last school corridor.
- Fine-tuning of minor bugs in general.
- New animations on some scenery elements prompting the player to explore scenes more intuitively.
- Redistribution of items rethought by level design.
- Fine adjustments to the character's HP and sanity HUD, appearing only when convenient.
- It is now possible to return to the game's Main Menu without closing it.
- The language selection screen only appears the first time the game is opened on Steam.
- Minor leveling in the Lockpick mechanic.
- Corrected various behaviors of the main enemy, especially interactions with Ana.
- The character no longer turns when hit by the Crawler, as it hindered in some cases when trying to escape from it.
- Slight repositioning of some enemies, preventing Stun Lock in some scenes, including the final corridor.
OVERVIEW
This patch note aims to address some minor issues and eliminate bugs discovered during the initial days of the Asleep: Act 1 release.
Attention: Due to some adjustments in the parameters that change Ana's status, we recommend that you reset your save.
FIXES
- Adjusted various interactions where Ana could become "stuck" without being able to move, such as in the opening scene when pushing the tree.
- Fixed gamepad interactions at certain moments in the game, such as interaction with boxes, doors after unlocking with a lockpick, and post-credits screen.
- Bug causing "Moonwalker" footsteps in the corridor near the end of the game has been fixed.
- Boxes in this final scene have also been adjusted to behave correctly, along with a slight repositioning of enemies.
- A box has been repositioned to appear in the correct scene, as it was erroneously placed in a scene where it shouldn't be, shortening the resolution of one of the puzzles.
- Some map markings in the School have been corrected, and missing ones have been added.
- Some interactions have been made more obvious to avoid confusion during gameplay, especially in the second part of the school.
- The low health effect is now suppressed at the end of the game to avoid interfering with the final scenes.
- Fixed library scene where you could leave before time and lose an important key for game progress.
- Adjusted some scenes to work properly on Ultra Wide monitors, although we do not officially support this resolution.
- Removed improper interaction points in the janitor's room at the school.
- Texts of some documents have been corrected, especially the "notes left for someone".
- Leveling of the Lockpick mechanic and addition of one more point to be used.
- General adjustments and repositioning of some enemies.
Get ready to unravel sinister mysteries alongside Ana Lcia in Asleep. This is just the first part of three acts that challenge not only the protagonist's sanity but yours too.

There's nowhere to run, Analu. We're delighted to announce the release date along with an exclusive trailer (on our Steam store page), so mark your calendars and we'll put this present under your Christmas tree: December 25th, that's the date! And to make the experience even more immersive, we've decided to release the game in episodic form. This will allow you to enjoy the content as soon as possible and finally experience the definitive version of the game, as we envisioned! This format aligns perfectly with the initial narrative structure we had in mind, as each Act works on the protagonist's background. Finally, we'd like to thank everyone who tried out our Demo version. However, with development progressing at full speed, it's already quite outdated compared to the game's current proposal. We want you to have an even more positive impact on the experience when you play the definitive edition! Thank you very much! Black Hole Games
Welcome to a new Asleep experience!
-The inventory is now 9 slots limited, preventing items from being hidden and inaccessible. -The bug that occurred interacting at the end of the Demo has been fixed. -Shortcut command tips are now shown when acquiring the Flashlight and Maps in the game. -Some markings on the Map of the School were fixed, adding some new ones. -Some sound events added. -The text of documents is now adjustable preventing them from being incomplete. -The interaction with Mirrors is now more intuitive, including the Safe Place Mirror. -Some monologues had their time readjusted. -Vertical pixels appearing in some school scenes have been permanently fixed. -Various sprites were adjusted. That said, we are working on some new features based on your feedback and the experience of several streamers (your feedback is important, see?). They will be available only for the final version of the game.
Life and Sanity Meters and other indicators added to the HUD
We noticed a need to improve the importance of using items. Many players when taking damage from creatures, for example, did not feel sure when exactly to heal the wounds, so the gauges must give a better sense of what's going on with the character's HP and Sanity. Even though we prefer a cleaner HUD, we can't break your experience, right? Every item is important, even if some might be overlooked by the more experienced players! Also, we plan to add some shortcut indicators for Flashlight (F) and Map (M), as you can see in the image above.
Manual Save System
We want to deliver the most immersive experience possible, and we've noticed that Checkpoints do not match our game proposal, they take away important decision-making power from the player on how to proceed in the adventure, and the automatic save takes some of the tension away, leaving the player more "carefree". Despite this, the use of the Save will still be unlimited, and only contain a single Slot.
Gamepad Friendly
It is currently possible to play 90% of the game through the Controller as well, however, we still need to deal with some improvements. Being originally a point-and-click, the game still needs to be thought out to be accessible for those who prefer to play through the gamepad (already thinking about a future port for other platforms too ). And it won't be a simple adaptation, because while playing through the Gamepad the cursor/pointer will not be accessible, but the player will be able to continue interacting directly with the elements of the scenario normally using an intelligent focus update system.
Additional notes
Remembering that even though it is an integral part of the final version of the game, the new Demo/BETA will still undergo improvements in Level and Game Design. The final version will contain much more features, like events, items (mementos), new props, and even new NPCs. Therefore, you can expect a MUCH more complete game in the very final version! We are very excited and working hard on these and many other improvements!!! You don't lose by waiting! Obs.: If you have a game saved from the previous version, it may not work, and you will need to start a new game. Let us know if this happens! Black Hole Games
Welcome to a new Asleep experience!
With great pleasure, sweat, and sleepless nights, we are releasing this BETA version, where Ana Lcia finally begins her journey through a recurring, yet new nightmare. New challenges await, unseen scenarios, as well as mysterious items and characters. In this version, we also have more content, including some original voices, cutscenes, and more from the soundtrack, we hope you enjoy this new demonstration! The game now also has Gamepad support, but as this is a developing feature, we recommend playing with mouse/keyboard. Remember that this is still a demonstration version, where we will be improving in the coming days, especially with your feedback. And don't forget to add the game to your wishlist and tell your friends who will love to know about this news. Have a good gaming session! Black Hole Games
We are very happy to announce that we are in STEAM's SUSTEAM FESTIVAL! If you haven't played our DEMO yet, now is your time! This first demo has a very immersive experience of the game universe, and we are sure you will love it! Also, we'd like to ask you to put the game on your Wishlist, and share it with your friends who are fans of the genre! PS: The game is under constant development, feel free to join our Discord community, our discussion groups and social networks! Discord Server

Asleep is a 2D point-and-click psychological horror adventure, set in the Brazilian Northeast of the 90s, and with a unique artistic look, ranging from realistic pixel art to fluid animations. "Ato 1" is the first episode of Ana Lúcia's story, a lonely and confused girl, lost in her nightmares, and immersed in a disturbing reality.
With not much information, and a mind flirting with insanity, the player must join her to unravel what is happening in her universe, collecting clues in her sketchbook and solving puzzles. Armed only with a flashlight to illuminate the path, and wit to survive the enemies always lurking in the darkness.
Use light to your advantage
Turn to your flashlight and the ambient lighting to survive, using light to find new items and places, and even to attract or avoid enemies. Different monsters react differently to light! With your flashlight in hand, use stealth mechanics to escape dangers while learning to deal with each threat.Don't let the darkness drive you mad
Avoid staying in the dark for too long, as it will cause the protagonist's sanity to deteriorate, leaving her anxious and attracting more dangers. The longer in the darkness, the more chaotic Ana Lúcia's nightmares become.A mix of point-and-click and survival horror
Experience the game's dark atmosphere by exploring the highly detailed 2D environments developed in pixel art. Explore point-and-click mechanics to solve puzzles, flee from monsters like in classic survival horrors, and navigate the environment through Asleep's platforming elements. And more:
- Travel between two versions of the game's universe, encountering an even darker and more hostile side of it
- Collect documents, items, and clues to unravel the dark mysteries of the plot
- Dense narrative with some choices and collectibles that can unlock secret memories
- Story divided into chapters, with Ato I being the first part of the game
- OS: glibc 2.17+. 32/64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i3 M380Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
