Hey everyone!
Its been three full years since the Early Access release of Planet S! Thank you all for following us on this journey and for all the great feedback over the years! As this update marks an anniversary we packed more stuff into this patch than usually. We focused on some key quaility of life features and a much improved introduction and tutorial experience for new players.
We added a system that will automatically reload / synchronize the game state after a desync was detected in multiplayer matches. Recovering from a desync is pretty much as quick as loading a savegame. The recovery will trigger automatically and you also still get a savegame for when the desync happened.
This update also introduces a new section in the main menu with new ways to learn and get into the game. It allows you to easily play or replay the tutorial but we also added links to our official Steam guides and most importantly four dedicated scenario style tutorials to introduce new players to research, trade routes, diplomacy and combat mechanics. Lucas will guide you through these scenarios.

We also thought that it would be time to revisit some of the oldest buildings in Planet S to give them a some touch ups and to adjust their detail level to the newer buildings from Tier 3 & 4.

* Fixed some spelling errors & improved various translations in the Japanese localization * Fixed multiple potential crashes that could occure when a bot loses its last planet * Fixed a bug that caused mods in multiplayer lobbies with more than 2 players to crash the game * Fixed a bug that caused the active dialog to not be saved correctly * Fixed a display issue related to spaceship speed * Fixed an issue that didn't allow you to place buildings in the creative mode without having the resources available in your planets inventory * Fixed a bug that caused spaceships to not be positioned correctly after loading a savegame in creative mode * Fixed a UI issue in the diplomacy menu that caused the status between player 2 & 3 to not be displayed *Fixed a bug that allowed players to enforce war between to other players as a consequence through the diplomacy menu * Fixed the shield technology being always unlocked for all factions in the creative mode * The planet limit (24) will now also be enforced for mods - Removed some lua libraries from mod lua scripts
We also took this opportiunity to remake our main shop page. We updated all screenshots and all headers & capsules to better represent the current look of the game especially after the changes in lighting.

The Yggdrasil Foundation is an independent research organization funded by the Coalition for intergalactic Travel (CIT). Their main goal is to research potential points of interest in galaxies yet out of reach. They operate from the planet with the same name, located in a solar system guarded by the Yggdrasil Division of its military alliance.
Theodor Renex and his best friend Vincent Oswald Chambers are the lead scientists of Yggdrasil. When they discovered the possibility of a unique new type of planet, they handled that information with great care. But despite their efforts to keep it a secret, rumors about its supposed impossible materials and new forms of life started spreading. Theodor insisted on keeping quiet however, even when a CIT council member tried to exert some pressure. Could such a planet truly exist?
Here's another little fun fact for Valentines Day: Theodors wife Myla Hazels mother serves as a Major for the Yggdrasil Division. Their relationship could be a little stale at times, but in the end they both love their family dearly!

Prof. Heinrich Dresher is a former council member of the Coalition for intergalactic Travel (CIT) and is thus regarded as one of their great pioneers. He is driven by his thirst for knowledge which eventually led him to a feud with the Yggdrasil Foundation. When CIT refused to back him up, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
Dresher betrayed CIT and stole their sensitive research data to provide it to his new organization the Circle of Omniscience. He knows exactly that CIT would never dare to make a move against him. The Circles current goal is a mystery, but they are rumored to have struck a deal with the Crimson Wolves. Something big is about to happen.

The Crimson Wolves are regarded as one of the most dangerous groups of mercenaries in the entire galaxy. It is said that their forces could even rival official military alliances. Despite that they follow a simple philosophy: They dont pick fights they arent paid for.
Their leaders name is Kroger. While hes often portrayed as a fierce maniac, in reality he always keeps a calm mind. As long as theres enough money on the table, hes willing to take any contract be it the extermination of relentless pirates or the besiegement of a highly militarized planet. Usually he acts as the Commander himself. And soon he will meet his match.

The Coalition for intergalactic Travel (CIT) emerged from a collaboration between some illustrious pioneers who all shared the same goal: To expand the reach of humanity beyond a single galaxy. Their greatest invention to date is the Exo spaceship, which has already revolutionized travels between solar systems far apart from one another. If they manage to refine it even further, who knows where it might lead them? CIT is governed by a council of dedicated scientists while their research missions are conducted by their Commanders.
Lucas works as an assistant for CITs Commanders, serving as the link between them and the inhabitants of their colonies. Hes rather excitable and tends to get along with everyone. Usually he tries to steer away from conflicts, but he will soon realize that CITs newest Commander is not as hesitant.

Hey everyone! This patch brings a few changes and a some bug fixes. We are currently working hard on the upcoming DLC, but we thought it's time for a small update. So here we go!

for the last few months we have been hard at work on the next big update for Planet S and we are happy to finally talk about it! As you might have already guessed from our teaser article two weeks ago, it will be a bit different from previous updates. We won't go into every detail yet but the next big update will mainly focus on new end game content (both multiplayer and singleplayer) as well as scenario modding for singleplayer. Building on that we are also going to release a DLC for Planet S. Over the last two years there were many of you who asked for ways to support and this will be a way to do that while getting something back in return. The DLC will add a campagne with a story and different missions to play. We are aiming for a release within the next two months so expect more infos soon!
In other news as you might have already noticed we changed our name from TeamJA to Glimmerlight Games! We feel better about that name moving forward and it should also be easier to pronounce internationally.

Its been a wild journey and we are extremly thankful for everyone who followed us on this journey until now. As we previously mentioned, this update doesn't contain anything new. Its almost the same as version 0.6.9 as we wanted to release with a stable version instead of a feature packed but also buggy version.

Hey everyone! Welcome back to this months (belated) state of the game! We didn't really have time to write one in time at the beginning of September as we prioritized bug fixing after the Victory Update. On that note: Thanks for the great feedback and patience after the update as a lot of problems showed up really quickly. We tried our best to test as much as possible before release but a dynamic system like the bot is very hard to test. But we are happy to report (and you probably noticed that as well) that the stability is pretty much back to the level it was at before the update.
