My Roguelike jam 6 submission Spess Marshal.

A third-person roguelike (not really though) game set in the vastness of space. Players traverse three expansive space station levels, aiming to locate and escape through randomly positioned exit portals while contending with unpredictably spawned enemies. Navigating these stations requires strategy; sprinting depletes stamina which must recharge, and players can momentarily harness a slow-motion "bullet time" ability for an edge in combat. Each level ramps up the number of enemies. Be careful carelessly sprinting into unknown rooms and corridors.

Not sure this qualifies for the required or optional theme. Will let the reviewers decide.

Jam Goals

Goal Met Note
Map Gen yes Ported map generation from another project where I had no gameplay code. Was nice to put that code into a working prototype. Was hoping to use the map gen code for procedural generation but ran out of time.
3rd Person Controller yes Never wrote a 3rd person controller. Got one working fairly well which is a first for me
Physics based projectiles yes Wanted to have physics based projectiles for the shooting mechanic. Bit tricky but seems to work ok.
Enemy AI yes yes they just turn at you and shoot. Thats AI right? Still a first for me so its a win in my book
Game Loop e2e yes Wanted to ensure I had a "complete" game loop. Working basic mechanics and an actual start and end, even if they are stupendously rudimentary
Item Pickups no Wanted some basic item pickups like health and powerups etc. Spent too much time on character controllers and projectiles. Oh well
Story no Had a story in mind where there was a antag to hunt down while moving between stations. Possibly dueling sisters or some such. Ran out of time and didnt have the experience to implement right
More enemies no Ran out of time. Had some models set aside for them though
