We've made some updates to the multiplayer lobby browser. - All multiplayer games in all regions will now be displayed in the lobby browser. - In progress games and full games will be displayed at the bottom of the list with their buttons redded out. -Private games are not shown in the lobby browser. - Games are sorted based on distance from the region you first connect to, so games in regions closer to your "home region" will be listed first. Hopefully this will streamline joining multiplayer games and show players that they are not alone in the Prodiverse.

How to Enter the Mapcore X3 Prodeus Mapping Contest
Purchase Prodeus on Steam Create your level, and then TAG it with "Mapcore Contest" and "Mapping Challenge 5" Set your level to PUBLISHED once you've had some testing Your thread on Mapcore + playable map published to the workshop constitutes your entry to this contest! ~ Tutorials from the Devs ~
RULES:
1. Your map must be playable from start to finish and published on the workshop with the tags listed above. 2. Your map must be submitted by
December 15th, 2022 before 12 am EST
Note: all maps are dated and time stamped when published to the workshop. 3. The Prodeus Dev Team and GUEST JUDGES will play through the maps and rank them based on Fun / Originality / Visual Presentation / Polish. 4. Users should be able to "finish" your level and enter the "leaderboards" screen. 5. Do NOT remake a level, nor part of a level, from a different game. Do NOT use any content created by others or Imported from another game. Keep things unique and show us your own individual sparkle. 6. Maps that were under creation prior to the announcement of this Contest can be entered, as long as a complete map version (layout and any non-greybox art) was not released for public download. 7. Multiple map entries are permitted, however each entry will be judged for its own particular quality. This is not a campaign competition, but a single map competition. 8. ONLY ONE AUTHOR PER ENTRY, we will NOT be splitting prizes nor allowing teams. 9. If you selected a console for your Kickstarter reward key, now is the time to select which region it comes from! We've JUST sent out emails detailing which console you picked and all you have to do is pick the correct region you live in!

So you can make sure to get your key on day 1 of our up-coming release!

Welcome Iori_Dyson to the team. Dyson joined after getting 3rd place in our first Mapcore level design competition. Since then, he's gone on to art Corruption, Grenade Trial, and build the map Atonement. Special thanks goes to SpookyBerry for building Hexarchy and helping test the latest set of maps! Co-op testing has been coming along nicely and we are pretty close to a stable build for public testing. We've already starting working on the next set of levels to go into the campaign and wanted to thank those who have been testing with us. You guys are helping make the maps better!

Level Editor: Prefabs Workshop
There are a lot of new changes to the Level Editor, but the big one we'll talk about today is the User Prefab / Structure Workshop that's now directly built into the level editor. Ever need a new door? Just open open up the Structure Workshop and search for Door, then when you find something you like, drag and drop it directly into your level! It's super fast, and if you want to modify the Structure afterwards, you can merge it into your level.

- Added "-offline" command line argument recognition to disable all online stuff (offline option will be added to the launch options in Steam and GOG similar to compatibility mode) - Fixed hide crosshair bug - Changed how ripples are done to try and fix a crash on some systems - Went through particle systems and change the cull mode on looping particles to "pause", may improve performance. - Fixed blood splats spawning drips when their velocity is upwards - Added lite splats for drip particles since drips should never spawn more drips

Excalibur Shotgun Skin is now ready for Kickstarter Backers who purchased this tier! To access, go to the "Unlockables" tab in your options menu and select "ON".
Gold plated with a sleek bone design, also heats up when shot!
Feature Updates:
New Plasma Rifle homing beacon line. Now you can visualize where the bullets are heading, even behind cover!
Mike created a new crosshair for each of the weapons. Now you can see more important information directly on the crosshair! Things like charge, and ammo count can now be seen when firing or using the alternate fire mode.
Dynamic crosshair not your thing? Don't worry, we have some options to disable this content and swap out for a more static version, that can be also scaled up or down in size. The new static options are DOT, CROSS, and CIRCLE.
New Auto-Shotgun Work-in-Progress!
We're happy to be showing off some more progress on our new Auto-Shotgun model. Here below is a highpoly untextured model. Hope you like it! EDIT: It's currently not in-game or available to use.
Workshop Updates:
New filters allow users to find Staff Picks and Contest Winners. Staff picks are hand picked levels that reach a high quality bar. Excellence in gameplay and visuals is a factor.
To find staff picks in your browser, simply look in the bottom right corner of any thumbnail for a glowing medal. This indicates that our team has vetted the level and consider it of good quality.
You can now easily find any Contest Winner with our brand new filter. Speaking of which, be sure to check out the top 3 winners from our previous challenge. The True Addiction, Thermal, and Transit.
Graphic Options
Some new graphics settings should help players with lower end PC's to boost their frame rate. Check them out in the Graphics tab towards the bottom.

- Added Multi-Bind to allow multiple inputs per weapon select, will go to the next highest weapon you have or loop around
- You can now use the mouse wheel to scroll through menus and community maps - Added Automap legend

- Overhauled gore splat effects for better performance. - New Advanced section, for those who get stutter issues.
The physics options are specifically to fix the weird rubber banding issues. Usually physics runs at 50hz independent of the frame rate. On low end machines this can cause a cascade of physics updates on a single frame that can bring down the frame rate even more. And when the physics and framerate are not locked movement may be a little jerky. So we set it to run once a frame so movement would be smooth and low end machines wouldn't suffer too much. But it seems to have some weird effects on some machines. So now there's an option, but changing it will really only help if there's a problem.

General Game Updates:
Fix: triggered projectile damage owner now properly set so player self damage will be correct for triggered rockets and sticky grenades. Fix: bug when finishing an editor map it would show the name of last cloud map you looked at. Tweak: changed footstep interval to 4 meters from 3 meters Fix: toggling something in a map will now detach entities (monsters, etc), entity damagers (sticky grenades get detached and triggered everything else gets destroyed), and destroy anything else (blood drips from ceilings, etc) Possible fix: bug where an exception is thrown when checking the last time a file was edited on computers with incorrect timezone settings. (another black screen bug)

Full Screen fixes and Updates in the Options menu
Default launch Full Screen Mode changed to Full Screen Window instead of Exclusive Full Screen for maximum compatibility. Full Screen Mode settings have been defaulted to Full Screen Window. Full Screen Mode settings can still be changed in the options menu. If anyone still has crashes on startup add this to the launch options in Steam or custom launch parameters in Galaxy. -screen-fullscreen 1 -window-mode borderless Unity remembers what the last window and full screen settings were so the launch options should only be needed once to get back to a working point. If someone sets their Full Screen Mode to Exclusive Full Screen in the options and it crashes their game they may need to access their GameSettings.info file in C:\Users\

Weapons in Action!
Arc Rail - Is a deadly lightning gun that can snipe enemies from across the map. It also has a tesla style fire mode that arcs shots between enemies that are close to one another. Get creative!

A few new enemies have crawled into view. We're excited to share the new Sniper and Toxic Zombie types. Sniper Zombie - has deadly aim that will hit you unless you take cover! Clever dodging and gun play will net you the win when fighting against this crafty enemy.

As environment art has become more and more complex, the idea of the automap has become less feasible. With Prodeus, we're bringing it back. The automap records everything you see, the environment, the items, the enemies and lets you explore the world from a different vantage point. Low on health? See if there's a pickup you've left behind. Got turned around in a level? Pop open the automap and see if there's something you missed. It might even help reveal a secret or two. Finding a GPS tracker will reveal the parts of the level you haven't seen yet with a less opaque style so you can still tell where you've been.
