- New attack description system to help with tooltips font size and readability. Hold the right mouse click on a fighter tooltip or press the left stick button on your controller to switch between attack description and effect description.
- Fixed an issue with the Slaveholders interns Life buffs from previous hotfix that were not matching the patch notes values.
- Fixed an issue during the preparation phase where some artefacts with group composition or position conditions could lead to a soft lock in specific situations.
- Fixed an issue with the Ghosts passive attack not triggering correctly when interacting with the Crystal Skull and Bat Mask artefacts.
- Fixed an issue where the Skeleton Lords talent granting a Bonus when a hero would lose a fragment in the masters room was not working if said fragment was lost because of a Morale over time effect.
- Fixed an issue where the Knights Ash artefact wasnt working as intended. In addition, the Meal Voucher artefact now correctly takes the Knighs Ash into account for healing calculation.

Soul Smugglers Update: 1.1.0 patch notes
To celebrate and as a way to thank you, 2 new Draconids and 2 new Neptunians are available for free for all players!
Features:

- New Master available through DLC: Cox VI (pun intended), the Timeless Skeleton Lord! Coming with 10 exclusive Psychopomp monsters, 3 exclusive traps and 5 exclusive artefacts!

- Fixed an issue where effects could appear with the tooltip opened.

- Fixed several remaining issues with room skipping and fight freezing because of Wraps scaring a hero off in specific situations. Please tell us if you still encounter any of these issues.
- Fixed an issue where the additional Tears cost for Maats Divine Protection attack wasnt correctly applied and wouldnt be updated in the tooltip accordingly.
- Fixed an issue with effects applied to heroes when a monster dies from passives like the Mummy Magus one that was still triggering even if the monster having the passive had already been defeated.
- Fixed an issue from the interaction between the Crystal Skull artefact and the Ghost passive attack when defeated preventing the attack from proceeding.
- Fixed an issue where the two bird stone artefact was triggering and dealing full damage to the next hero if the front hero was benefitting from Dodge or the attack immunity passive.

Features:
- Monsters and traps unlocked can now be checked at the Archivist!
- 3 new tier 3 heroes: the Valkyrie, the Dragon Knight and the Amazon!
- 2 new tier 2 heroes: the Onna-musha and the Harpooner!
- These new heroes will only be able to be encountered when choosing dungeons to defend against Veterans and Champion!
Improvements:
- Black market will now be available more often during runs. In addition, you can now choose to sell any monster you have, including active monsters.
- Tiers of heroes composing the group of adventurers are now displayed in dungeons tooltips during the Schedule phase.
- Heroes tier are now displayed in their tooltip.
Balancing:
- Devouring Whip artefact has been reworked from 8 Power when killing a hero to 5% Life healed when a hero is killed during the dungeon.
- Flame Eaters Spontaneous Combustion have been changed from an AoE to a Front attack. Base Power scaling has been increased from 0.3 to 0.7. Power scaling from attack upgrade has been increased accordingly from 0.4 to 1.
- Dodge (1) gained from the Virtuoso elite passive has been changed for Shell (2).
- Mechanical Spider trap has been increased from 10 Morale to 25 Morale. Upgrades have been increased accordingly.
- Starting monsters, traps and artefact from Engineers Goose Bumps 4th mission have been changed to make it a bit easier to finish.
- Innkeepers base Life has been reduced from 600 to 550, his Life per level has been reduced from 100 to 90 and his Power has been reduced from 60 to 50.
- Samurais base Power has been increased from 40 to 50.
- Enchantress base Life has been increased from 750 to 900.
- Time Watchers Waste of Time Power scaling has been increased from 0.5 to 0.7 for damage. Morale has been removed from the attack.
- Hybrid attacks dealing damage and Morale have been tone up a bit for the Grief Weaver, Possessed Armor, Tank, Skeleton Scientist, Skeleton Dog, Ice Skeleton and Skeleton Drake.
Bugs fixing:
- Fixed an issue coming from an interaction between the Orc Sorcerer and the Bat Mask artefact that could result in a soft lock.
- Fixed an issue allowing critical effects to trigger on monsters' passive attacks.
- Fixed an issue with the Skeleton Executioners passive description.
- Fixed an issue in Endless Mode preventing players from going further once getting to a high number of weeks.

We've just updated the game with a hotfix containing some slight balancing adjustements and fixes for the most recent (yet annoying) bugs reported by our players. Thank you all for your feedback and support! Have fun!
- Bards base Power has been reduced from 70 to 50 for Concertist and Virtuoso.
- Experience gained in Endless mode has been increased by around 30%.
- Removed the Early Access panel when launching the game for the first time. (oops!)
- Fixed an issue with Thorns causing several major issues with heroes attacks and dungeon progression.
- Fixed an issue where changing the Special Event Themes in the settings would make them overlap on the menu screen.
- Fixed an issue allowing players to click the Sponsor button during the Secret Ingredient event without having enough tears.
- Fixed an incorrect amount of Life displayed during the Slimy Yet Satisfying event.
- Fixed an issue where the first artefact at the Archivist was not selected by default.
- Fixed an issue where monsters were not correctly displayed at level 2 for the Ascension mode team interface and in the team editor.
- Fixed an issue where monsters and traps tooltips in the Endless mode team interface were not showing up when hovering them.
- Fixed an issue where the Masters stats in the info window after a run was still affected by the previous run upgrades.

Balancing:
- Magic Purse artefact costs reduction has been reduced from 50% to 30%.
- Ballista trap damage upgrades have been reduced from 40/50/70 to 30/40/55.
- Furnace trap base damage has been increased from 5 to 15. Damage from upgrades have been increased from 20/40 to 35/55.
- Dodge and heros passive allowing to avoid attacks are no longer triggered by monsters passives triggered and launched at the start of the turn like the Gargoyles one.
Bugs fixing:
- Fixed an issue where tears cost of traps upgrades for level 4 and above was not removed from the players tears pool.
- Fixed an issue with the Ancestral Elementals third attack upgrade.
- Fixed an issue where only one of the available game over dialogs was displayed when losing or giving a run up.
- Fixed an issue where right clicking on a monster or in the team management window was not working anymore to move monsters around.
- Fixed an issue preventing the kills from Thorns effect to be counted correctly for the artefact unlocked at the Archivist.
- Fixed an issue where the Electrical Coil was not working as intended at level 4 and above.
- Fixed an issue with effects consumed from attacks that would generate unwanted turns skipping.
- Fixed an issue where Artefacts giving additional attacks were not triggered correctly for attacks with a conditional additional attack.
- Fixed an issue where heroes were going to the next room even if the last monster of the group was resurrected by the Crystal Skull artefact.
- Fixed an issue where the Elementalist attack could bounce even if the Pocket Mirror artefact was preventing the death of the targeted monster.
- Fixed an issue where the Unstable Elementals second attack was not giving shield if the target was killed from the damage.
- Fixed an issue where the Revealing Lense artefact was not triggering if the attack would lower the targets life under the threshold.
- Fixed an issue where the Fang of Melinda artefact was triggered by attacks applying Burn even if the target was not already affected by Burn.
- Fixed an issue with the Advanced traps tooltips not showing the correct number of upgrades in their tooltip.
- Fixed an issue where modded monsters were randomly losing their attacks unlocked from level 2 to 4.
- Fixed several cases of possible interactions with the interface just before or when the motivation recap window after a dungeon was displayed.
- Fixed several issues where the fights could hang when killing or scaring one or several heroes at the same time that would lower the other heroes Morale to 0.
- Fixed several issues with the Orc Sorcerers resurrection passive when a monster would die from damage over time at the start of their turn.
- Fixed an issue where effects stacks were not correctly decreasing at the end of a heros turn if the hero killed the last monster of the group.
- Fixed heroes called John Doe in Endless mode past a specific amount of years.

- Fixed several issues preventing the Life bar of monsters being transformed into Trees or being swapped by the Wizard skill from being correctly refreshed if damage was taken just before.
- Fixed an issue with the upgrades of the Ironclad Mantis first attack not giving the percent of shield displayed in the description.
- Fixed an issue preventing players from selecting traps past the third column in the team edition panel for Ascension and Endless modes.
- Fixed an issue forcing players to select another monster or trap then reselect the monster or trap they wanted to add several times in the team edition panel for Ascension and Endless modes.
- Fixed an issue where defeating a hero with a trap could cause the Enchanted Cogs to trigger again as well as effects being triggered on heroes in specific situations.
- Fixed an infinite loop involving the first trap of a dungeon, Multi-action, Enchanted Cogs and the Hunters skill.
- Fixed an issue allowing players to grind for experience in missions 3, 4 and 5 of each master as well as in Ascension by giving up early.
- Fixed an issue where buffing attacks from allies would trigger the new Orcs passive.
- Fixed an issue with the priority of Orc Sorcerers and Skeleton Lords passives preventing the Skeleton Lord from transforming when defeated while an Orc Sorcerer was in the group.
- Fixed an issue when a monster dies from a DoT while an Orc Sorcerer was in the group that would make the next fighter turn to trigger twice.
Improvements and balancing:
- A V-Sync option has been added in the video settings. Pixel perfect option has been removed to fix several specific display issues.
- An unlock animation has been added on the map after finishing a mission. The last or highest available mission will now be selected by default instead of the first mission.
- Morale preview on heroes before using an attack has been made more visible.
- A feedback has been added to the minimap rooms when a monster or trap room is locked by an artefact.
- Traps will now require some Tears to be upgraded to level 4 and above.

Here's a small patch for the latest game update. We want to thank everyone on the forums and on our Discord for reporting us the issues they encountered to help us fix the game, as well as those giving us some feedback. In addition, we wanted to clarify things around the new game modes we made available for Supporter Packs owners before launch. These modes are still in a "beta" state, but we couldn't wait any longer to share with the community what we've been working on for several months now. We wanted to show you that both the long awaited Endless and Ascension modes have been brought into the game. In addition, having access to new unfinished or unpolished content early is not initially included in the Supporter Pack. We are coming really close to the launch and the intentions behind this move was not to put the modes under some kind of DLC requirement but just to give a bonus for those already owning the Supporter Pack to thank them. This was a last minute decision and this was the best option we could find between this or nothing. We also wanted to confirm that these new game modes will be included in the game at launch without requiring to buy any DLC. We have heard the reactions of frustration or disappointment it created for some of our players and we truly understand. We can assure you we will find a better, clearer way to do it if we had to do something similar again in the future. We're sorry for the confusion and we can't thank you enough for your feedback and your support! Have fun!

- - Fixed an issue with monsters gained during the Plunder task not scaling with current year in Endless mode.
- - Fixed an issue with the warning on the Training course task in Endless mode.
- - Fixed an issue with the 3 Events related Steam achievements not registering correctly.
- - Fixed the spam issue on buttons used to launch a game on the master and mission selection.
- - Fixed an issue that was preventing heroes stats to be correctly refreshed after using the Enchantress Sand Storm arcane spell.
- - Fixed an issue with the level 4 of Ascension not correctly applying its effects to the number of stacks applied by disasters.
- - Fixed an issue allowing to open the settings panel during the motivation panel when coming back from a dungeon and preventing the player to close any of the two panels.
- - Fixed an issue with Futakuchi-onnas level 4 upgrade on her first attack.
Improvements and balancing
- - Cursed Prism, Flying Dagger and Electrical Coil traps can now be dropped with any Master.
- - Oil Cauldron, Icy Breeze and Poisonous Plant traps base damage has been increased from 10 to 20.
- - Prismatic Stone and Revealing Lense artefacts have been reworked to make them more appealing.
- - Winged Boots artefact speed gained has been increased from 30 to 40.
- - Gargoyles got some love. Base power scaling on second attack has been increased from 0.5 to 0.75. Power gained at level 3 has been increased from 10 to 20. Demoralized stacks added to first attack have been moved from level 4 to level 3. Level 4 will now increase power scaling ratio on second attack from 0.75 to 1. Level 4 will now increase the stacks of Demoralized applied with the passive from 1 to 2.
- - Gnoll had too much Life considering her full tanking potential and has been put back to 100 base Life instead of 120. In addition, Life gained with level 4 has been reduced from 40 to 20.
- - Traps can now be upgraded above level 4 in Endless mode. Traps gained during the run will also scale with the current year.
- - Heroes will now progressively gain more Power per level after the second year in Endless mode. The higher the year, the higher the increase.
- - Heroes will now gain levels quicker over the weeks in Endless mode.
- - Minibosses will now automatically gain Life and Power per year after the second year in Endless mode.
- - Advanced traps will now automatically gain a damage and morale increase per year after the second year in Endless mode.
- - Defensive Turret advanced trap base damage has been increased from 50 to 60.
- - Tesla Cannon advanced trap base damage has been increased from 30 to 40 and morale reduced from 30 to 20.
- - Grenadier advanced trap second passive when upgraded has been increased from Burn (1) to Burn (2).
- - Life gained by monsters per level up above level 4 has been reduced for tanks and fighters archetypes (from 40 to 30 and from 30 to 20 respectively). Glass cannons archetypes are remaining unchanged.
- - Champions encountered in the last dungeon of each year will be 1 level higher than before in Endless mode.
- - Experience gained in Endless mode has been significantly increased.
- - Added a minimum of 25 to the amount of gold when skipping rewards in Endless mode.
- - Endless mode Steam achievements have been adjusted from 260 and 520 weeks to 156 and 260 weeks.

Balancing:

- Heroes will now gain levels faster during missions 3, 4 and 5. Their starting level has been tuned down accordingly for mission 5.
- Champions during missions 4 and 5 will be 1 level higher. Final champion will also be 1 level higher at the end of a run for a total of +2 for missions 4 and 5.
Bugs fixing:
- Fixed an issue with Motivation cost displayed in the Contribution at Source event description.
- Fixed an issue where motivation lost during a run was not set correctly by default on older saves.
- Fixed an issue with Dodge effect triggered by non damaging friendly attacks.
- Fixed an issue with the Skeleton Scientists level up upgrades not working correctly.

The latest update is now live! It includes a huge rework on runs length and dynamic, a new master selection, 20 new artefacts, 2 new status effects and tons of improvements, balancing and bugs fixing (see the detailed patch notes below).

Features:
- Huge rework on runs length and dynamic, starting monsters and rewards for missions, as well as an overall balancing! This is in anticipation of the Ascension system we are working on and the Archives section where players will be able to unlock new hidden artefacts that will be available soon.
- New master selection with a beautiful map for each master!
- 20 new Artefacts to discover!
- New monster for players who subscribe to the newsletter: the Grief Weaver! You just need to redeem the code sent by mail on the main menu to add it to the available monsters pool.
- 2 new Status effects: Guaranteed Critical and Dodge!
Improvements:
- Default missions (previously called archetypes) are now a bit shorter than a year with specific weeks and enemies difficulty patterns. Each mission comes with its own repartition of heroes Tiers and levels. The reason for this was to make the game more dynamic, making the progression during a run less linear and slow. Reducing the length of the easiest parts of a run that were not really fun to play will allow players to dive into serious stuff more quickly. Players still eager to play during 2 years like prior to the update can use the customization settings to do so.
- Missions are no longer unlocked depending on the master level, but require to finish the previous mission instead.
- Enchantress is now unlocked when Slaveholder reaches level 5 and Engineer is now unlocked when Enchantress reaches level 3.
- Missions rewards have been adjusted for all masters, moving all of them one mission below compared to the previous version. 5th mission now has a new reward for all masters.
- Monsters and traps displayed in missions now have full information tooltips when mousing over them.
- Artefacts are now giving more interesting bonuses to make them better game changing elements.
- Some new artefacts are now displaying a Status on heroes to better keep track of stats bonuses monsters are benefiting from.
- Plunders result window has now a different thumbnail for each available plunder in the game.
- Some voices have been added to many monsters and heroes when attacking.
- Increasing game speed settings during dungeons no longer creates chipmunks voices.
- Gold gained in dungeons tooltips is now displayed with a min-max range.
- Enchantress promotion spells are now displayed and called arcane spells for better comprehension.
- Mousing over a dungeon in the Schedule scene will now display all the dungeons tooltips available for the week.
- In addition to Bonuses and Penalties, some effects are now considered as Statuses. They are displayed with gold text. Stunned, Guaranteed Critical, Dodge and Active Artefacts are considered as Statuses.
- Statuses are only removed when their effect is triggered. Statuses dont lose any stacks when heroes are exploring a dungeon like other effects.
- When monsters are defeated, they will now either lose 1 or 2 Motivation. The final amount lost can be altered by game effects like talents or passives.
- Heroes groups generation has been improved.
- Players can now skip trap rooms if they dont want to place a trap.
Balancing:
- All monsters and heroes have received balancing adjustments. Most of the changes have been made to increase fights duration, to reduce the chances for tanks and medium life pool monsters to be one shot by heroes, as well as better differentiate monsters archetypes. It has of course been done accordingly to the new artefacts power and new runs parameters.
- Several masters attacks and spells have been balanced.
- Interns have been balanced (minibosses).
- Disasters have been balanced.
- A few events have been balanced or adjusted.
- Values of heroes skills and passives that were regenerating Life or giving Morale back have been reduced.
- Heros passive with chances to stun can no longer be generated on Tier 2 and Tier 3 heroes.
- Monsters max level has been reduced from 5 to 4. All the stats and attacks upgrades repartition has been adjusted accordingly.
- Leveling monsters to level 4 now requires some Blood to justify the real power spike it represents (15 for rare monsters, 10 for the others).
- Most of the existing Artefacts have been reworked or balanced.
- Artefacts are now all considered as normal rarity. The rare reward for defending a dungeon from a group of adventurers containing a champion can now contain a normal artefact accordingly.
- Orc, Yetigo, Gnoll, Ghost, Infernal Guardian, Jubokko, Skeleton Magus, Skeleton Archer, Skeleton Lord, Skeleton Dog and Skeleton Warrior have received either a new attack mechanic or had their passive reworked.
- Morale percent given back to heroes by the Campfire resting room has been reduced from 30% to 20%.
- Enchantress Blight attack no longer removes Penalties on all heroes.
- Tiredness Penalty max damage dealt reduction has been reduced from 70% to 50%.$
- Engineer advanced traps have been rebalanced.
- Gold gained depending on dungeon difficulty has been rebalanced.
- Pile of Bones trap is no longer restricted to Slaveholder only and can now drop for every master.
- Electrical Coil trap has been reworked.
- Weeks duration and costs of Seminar and Sanctuaries effects have been reduced by half.
- Costs of monsters at the Merchant have been reduced by 50%.
- Merchant Refresh cost has been reduced from 50 to 20 gold and cost per refresh from 25 to 10 gold.
Bugs fixing:
- Fixed an issue causing a softlock when the Crystal Skull artefact would trigger on an intern death (miniboss).
- Fixed an issue that could lead to melee heroes not going back to their initial position correctly in specific situations.
- Fixed an issue with Enchantress Blight attack not taking Penalties applied to the targets into account correctly for damage calculation.
- Fixed an issue with the experience gained animation not showing a level up correctly when the amount of experience was equal to the remaining required amount to level up.
- Fixed an issue with Vampire Skin Artefact that was not applying its effects to monsters.
- Fixed an issue where damage could be negative in specific situations, causing the target to heal instead.
- Fixed an issue where the Frostbite application from the Monk class attack was not triggering when the condition was met.
- Fixed some remaining issues with the Wizard class skill when swapping monsters.
- Fixed an issue when swapping heroes with Enchantress Sand Storm arcane spell if there was a skeleton warrior from the Necromancer passive in the heroes group.
- Fixed some issues when Mysterious Screwdriver and Enchanted Cogs are triggered at the same time.
- Fixed an issue where gold gained displayed at the end of a dungeon was not correct.
- Fixed several typos.
- Fixed an issue where Slaveholders Interview task was allowing the same event to be picked more than once.
- Fixed several timing issues for effects gained when attacking, being attacked or defeating heroes or monsters. It was preventing effects from not being applied correctly.
- Monsters revived by the Orc Sorcerers passive are now correctly keeping their level instead of getting the Orc Sorcerers level.
- Fixed an issue where monsters could sometimes not be displayed correctly in dungeon rewards cards.
- Fixed an issue where the Gym task warning was not correctly displayed when needed depending on the resources available.
- Fixed an issue where the Fire Impalers second passive max value was not working correctly.
- Fixed an issue with the Ice Impalers first passive not giving the correct amount of Power per stack of Thorns.
- Fixed an issue preventing the Father of the Damneds passive to work correctly.

A new update is coming very soon... and a beta version is available for testing!
But in the meantime, Supporter Pack owers can already play the new master: the Engineer!
Lira, the Monkey Engineer, is coming with her new dungeon environment, her new exclusive monsters type, some advanced traps obtained when getting a promotion and her own talent tree!
To try this new master, go to your Steam library => right click on the game => properties => select "beta".

Here are the recent hotfixes made available for the latest issues reported with version 0.8.2. Some players are also having troubles with the game (clicking play redirecting to the store page, unable to play with bugged saves via main menu on Windows, etc.). These are related to Steam issues and we can only ask you to update your Steam client to solve the issue. If you still have issues with the game after that, feel free to tell us on Steam forums. Update: 0.8.2 patch notes
Features:
- Morale system improved! Morale is now including 3 thresholds at 75%, 50% and 25%, preventing heroes from getting their Morale above a threshold once reached. In addition, heroes are now taking 50% more damage when their Morale is under 50%.
- Artefacts system revamped! They no longer have levels and rare Artefacts can now be obtained after a Champion dungeon.
- 3 new artefacts!
- Main menu interface has been revamped!
Improvements:
- Many existing events have been reworked and improved to include more choices, more decisive trade offs and be less punitive overall. In addition, some events will now even require the player to own a specific monster or artefact to get access to a more interesting alternative choice.
- Some visual FXs have been added for several monsters passives and for specific Masters talents.
- The Info tab in the masters details window is now available with the masters biography and stats.
- The random content generated for weekly tasks is now preloaded before clicking on them, allowing for a more accurate warning indicator when the player has a lack of resources or monsters required for the task. It is also no longer possible to generate events or other tasks with random content again by going back to the main menu.
Balancing:
- The effects of all existing Artefacts have been changed or adjusted according to the removal of Artefact levels.
- Business Trip missions containing an Artefact as a reward has been balanced accordingly.
- Mysterious Screwdriver Artefact can no longer drop until further notice.
- Base Speed of Gargoyle, Flame Eater, Naga and Satyre has been increased by 10.
- Fire, Ice, Wind and Earth Elementals now have the Resistance matching their element increased to 100%. They suffered a slight decrease in one of their other Resistances or Armor and a small adjustment to their level upgrades accordingly.
Bugs fixing:
- Fixed an issue with modded monsters being duplicated in specific situations.
- Fixed an issue with saves that could become corrupted in specific situations.
- Fixed an issue with Gym Armor bonus for the Master that was not correctly added to the Masters stats.
- Fixed an issue where the masters stats were not correctly refreshed after a task.
- Fixed a remaining issue with the Archmage Ignited Shield that could result in the master not being at the right spot during the final room fight.

Despite its slender appearance and fresh complexion, Masoch is part of the walls. After being dragged by adventurers in an attack several centuries ago, he was captured and then abandoned in a dungeon, sometimes serving as a distraction for employees from one decade to the next. Eventually, the resurrection spell doesn't really work on him anymore. Curious, the liche-docteures then conducted experiments, making Masoch the helpful intern we know.
Meet the Colossal Hydra:
When the Cyclops director adopted Chalcodon thanks to Dangerous Animal Sanctuary (a non-profit association in which she invests her free time), it already had its four heads, mark of a tortured past (it had been beheaded three times). Hungry, it immediately proved its usefulness by shredding a troop of lancers on the way home. A personal pet of the director, she regularly looks for dragonhydrasitters among her co-workers. Take care of it, it's a bit like her child.

Sannakji has a rather original resume. She used to work as a cook in different dungeons, where she was able to put her degree in human meat to good use. From there, she won several human hunting competitions. - Gnoll will now start with her first attack and her passive. She will now gain her second attack at level 2 instead of her passive.
- Treants in the starting monsters from Enchantress talent are no longer immune to Enchanted Seed.
- Stacks of Enraged from Knights elite passive have been reduced from 10 to 5.
- Stacks of Slowed from Ice Wizards attack have been reduced from 2 to 1.
- Ice Wizards base Power has been reduced from 60 to 45.
- Archmages attack now applies Frostbite (2).
- Stacks of Ignited Shield gained by the Archmage from his passive have been increased from 1 to 2.

Bug fixing:
- Fixed all the additional room issues.
- Fixed an issue where the Druidess champion was using her passive even when Stunned.
- Fixed an issue where the Troll Beer artefact was not increasing Morale correctly.
- Fixed an issue where monsters killed by Ignited Shield after a melee attack were changing the monsters position on screen for the next group of monsters and were not correctly showing their death animation.
- Fixed an issue where the Enchantress talent increasing Treants Life bonus was not applied correctly.
- Fixed an issue where monsters and traps tooltips were not showing correctly on the room minimap.
- Fixed an issue where the Ring of Wrath artefact was applying to the Goblins Drummer team buff attack.
- Fixed an issue with the Siege task when the player had only a few traps or none available. The trap duplication issue is resolved as well with this fix.
- Fixed an issue where the game was saved when going back to main menu during a task, allowing players to abuse it during their runs.
- Fixed an issue with monsters displayed in the Black Market task that were incorrectly going out of the parchment scroll.
- Fixed an issue where Treants had a price of 0 in the Black Market.
- Fixed an issue where tasks couldnt be clicked when switching language on the Schedule scene.

Here's a hotfix to solve most of the issues brought with the latest update. Players who had issues with the bugged additional room of monsters or trap should give up their current run, then close the game and verify game files on Steam. They can then start a fresh one to avoid any further issues with rooms generation during year 2. If that doesn't work, we're very sorry for the inconvenient but you'll have to delete the save and create a new one. Hotfixes 0.7.0.4:
- Voice over added to the Cyclops dialog about resting rooms at the beginning of the first dungeon of year 2.
- Fixed an issue preventing the Goblin Drummer passive to work correctly.
- Fixed an issue with the drag & drop in the team management window.
- Fixed an issue with the monsters and artefacts that shouldnt be available for masters to still be offered as a reward.
- Fixed an issue with the Siege task if the player had 4 or less traps available.

Balancing:
- Burn effect will now deal 5% of the fighters maximum Life as Fire damage per turn.
- Frostbite effect will now deal 5% of the fighters maximum Life as Ice damage per turn.
- Goblin, Orc, Ghost, Bone Catapult and Pile of Bones are no longer available during Enchantresss runs.
- All 4 Elementals, Elemental monsters Artefacts, Cursed Prism and Pandoras Box are no longer available during Slaveholders runs.
- Morale given back to all heroes from the Mamluks elite passive has been reduced from 20% to 10%.
- Master Regeneration bonus from Workouts and Rewards has been changed to 20% instead of a flat 2.
- Master Power bonus from Workouts and Rewards has been changed to 10% instead of a flat 10.
- Frozen Caves Snow Balls disaster has been changed from Front targeting to AoE. Damage has been reduced from 50 to 20 during year 1 and from 75 to 40 during year 2.

It is a very delicate work: balancing. We've got to take into account new comers, mid-core players and veterans. We cannot only rely on individual input, we have to gather every feedback and see what are the big trend. When YOU feel X or Y is OP, we might have data that says otherwise.
You might no know, we have ingame analytics that help us understanding difficulty: what are the deadliest compositions, the most used skills and so on.
We saw several streamers getting bored. We saw several people pausing after their first game, not even looking at the skill tree! We feel the roguelite-genre needs a few death to understand, reflect on your strategies and finally enjoy the game.
Today's patch is about balancing: we have globally made the game more dangerous, but you also have more health!

- New language available: Traditional Chinese! The Chinese language that was already available is now listed as Simplified Chinese.
- Added a visual feedback on attacks, spells and disasters preview for players to know if that will be enough to kill or scare the targets.
- Heroes killed and scared are now each displayed individually in the game over/end of run recap.
- Heroes skills wording have been improved in english and french. Other languages will follow with the next translation update.

Features:
- Twitch features! You can now play while interacting with your viewers in game!
- The Enchantress Master can now be unlocked by reaching level 10 with the Slaveholder on the full version.
- 2 new Champions: the Huntress and the Archmage! Available on the full version only.
- New monster: the Vampire! Available through the Slaveholders talent tree only.
- 4 new languages available: Japanese, Korean, Turkish and Czech!
- Many optimization improvements have been made.
- Visual quality settings have been set to Medium by default.
- Cyclops outfits have been made more monstrous =)
- Heroes now have a different flee and die sound depending on their gender.
- Added a new tutorial after the first dungeon for the first game on a new save to show where to manage monsters and traps and to explain how Motivation works.
- All tutorials are now shown only if the player launched the dungeon tutorial when creating a new save.
- Tooltips have been added on stats displayed in fighters details tooltips.
- Masters now have an XP curve for leveling.
- Added a few more parameters for scoring. Slight adjustments have been made to the existing ones.
- The end of run is now triggered at the end of the last dungeon instead of going back to the Schedule scene before.
- Tutorial texts have been updated, as well as the voice over.
- Masters details tooltip is now shown in dungeon when hovering the masters room.
- New animation for monsters transformed in Treants by the Enchanted Seed effect.
- Monsters max level has been increased from 4 to 5.
- Traps max level has been increased from 3 to 4.
- Lots of changes have been made to monsters and traps upgrades accordingly.
- Masters base Life and Regeneration have been increased by 25%.
- Added a talent in the Slaveholders talent tree that replaces the Goblin in the fixed starting monsters by a Vampire.
- Orc Sorcerers Cains Revenge attack can no longer transform monsters into a Skeleton Lord.
- Lots of changes have been made to heroes balance. The most notable one being Champions receiving a 50% base Life and base Morale increase.
- Base Life and Life per level of the Skeleton Warriors hero version have been halved.
- Frost Burn effect damage per turn has been increased from 12 to 15 to be on par with the Burn effect. Default duration has been reduced from 4 to 3 accordingly.
- Damage reduction of the Tiredness effect has been capped to 70%.
- Plunders and Trip missions have been balanced and are now including Motivation loss as well.
- Heros passive granting an immunity to the first attack suffered is no longer triggered on monsters passives like the Gargoyles one.
- New dungeons repartition during tasks generation.
- Fixed an issue with heroes and masters stats not rounded correctly with Custom Mode parameters.
- Fixed an issue where heroes resurrected as Skeleton Warriors by the Necromancer champion could be resurrected again.
- Fixed an issue with the Mortar and the Circular Saw traps that could skip an additional room after triggering and eventually soft lock the game.
- Fixed an issue causing masters Life bonus from rewards and the Gym event to increase Life by an incorrect amount and healing the master more than intended.
- Fixed an issue causing unwanted behaviors when launching the first game on a new save that could lead to major issues and soft locks.
- Fixed an issue where the Game Mode tab couldnt be clicked during a game on the master info panel.
- Fixed an issue where some plunders giving motivation were not working correctly.
- Fixed the John Doe champions issue.
- Fixed an issue with Seminar, Sanctuary and Gym tooltips that were incorrectly overlapped by some other interface.
- Fixed several issues where texts displayed were not updated when changing languages.
- Fixed an issue where the talent tree in the master selection details could be displayed incorrectly after specific manipulations.
- Fixed an issue that could cause monsters to be duplicated after a Trip Mission or a Plunder involving Motivation loss.

Twitch Features
We are also showcasing how Twitch features work in Legend of Keepers. It can be a bit troubling and were still working out how to improve the system. Basically, you have to enable it in Custom Mode, then have 3 integrations for now:
- People can vote on sending you difficult or easy heroes
- People can send you buffs or debuffs for your current fight
- Monsters will get viewers names

Now when you kill a hero, you get blood from him. And if you make him run away, you get his tears. We're glad to announce we will release a new demo version of Legend of Keepers on October 10th! It will feature new game mechanics such as blue tears and red tears.

These are new ingame rewards that will allow you to diversify the options you pick at the trainer or other events. It will improve replayability a lot!
Blue tears are gained when you deplete the morale of a hero.
Red tears are gained when you kill a hero during a dungeon.
We hope this will give more weight to those two options while playing!
The skill tree will improve your game session customization. You will have several traits to upgrade your monsters, traps and more!
The snow theme will diversify the game experience. The classic dungeon is a must, but what about those icy caverns? It's a must-have in all dungeons!

You have been proving yourself and have become famous in the region. New monsters are now willing to work under your orders in the Dungeons Company!
Heres a quick overview of these 3 demonic creatures!
Lets start with the first one! Made of living stone, this flying Gargoyle will scare heroes to death!
Heres the turn of the Flame Eater! This vicious fire entity will burn down adventurers into ashes in no time!
And the best one for the end: the Infernal Guardian! When this greater demon will work for you, the squishiest humans wont be able to hide behind their tanky friends anymore!
New norms to adapt to
The dungeon industry is constantly evolving. The high council of dungeoning is always revising or adding laws for dungeon companies. Were no exception and we have to respect them. Too many heroes have been defeated easily lately (you must be the main responsible for this). It resulted in a decrease of adventurers interested in plundering, and actions had to be taken. You will now have to choose between half of your active employees team and pool of traps when placing your forces. We hope youll still show us that your the best one for the job! -------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch notes for update 0.5.2.1:
Features, improvements and balancing:
- Gargoyle, Flame Eater and Infernal Guardian are now available in game!
- Draft system overhaul: number of monsters and traps picked randomly for a room during preparation phase is based on the active employees team and traps.
- Lots of balancing for heroes.
- Lots of balancing for monsters.
- Slaveholder is now bulkier.
- Changed Slaveholder's Hold the line! spell to Show No Mercy! (applies Enraged to the next group of monster instead).

- Monsters and traps obtained by transmuting an artefact with the Alchemist are now given with a level calculated from the level of the artefact transmuted.
- Adjustments made to several Events.
- Demoralised has been renamed into Terrified and Depressed has been renamed into Demoralised to avoid confusion between the two effects.
- Gold is now displayed on the reward screen.
- New team management button with a tooltip on the Schedule scene.
- Added sound on buttons still missing one.
- Fixed score displayed incorrectly on the end of run/game over screen.
- Fixed effect description not displayed correctly on a few traps, attacks and spells.
- Fixed an issue with the language chosen in the settings.

A little bit of history around Legend Of Keepers.
This demo has been in the work since the middle of Robothorium. The team had to work on a new project to use the Goblinz Engine and the team resources (aka making everyone busy with making games!). Mathieu our art director started last August and the others joined around November. Its Goblinz third game developed in-house, and you will see this is very important because the game is qualitative, simple and fun. Over time, we learned to value minimalism in design and abundance in juiciness. We hope you will like this demo, we think its a great milestone for us and were all proud of the version were sending out today. Legend of Keepers has grown over 38K wishlist on Steam, so were confident about the future.

Having to manage monsters like employees is not an easy task. We thought it could be helpful for you to know more about these powerful minions that youll have to command. Monsters can be sorted into 5 different categories:
- Creatures like orcs, goblins and many sorts of beasts
- Skeletons every kind of pile of bones, actually
- Demons, from mischievous spirits to the most evil entities
- Elementals made of some primal essence
- Mechas, some mysterious machines made by crazy scientists
Even if each monster comes with its own weaknesses and strengths, Artefacts and Talents will allow you to significantly improve their efficiency. Now you must be wondering: What the heck are Artefacts and Talents? And how do they work?
Its over 9000!
While playing Legend of Keepers, youll have to get through a complete run to gain experience with your master and level him up. By doing so, youll earn Talent points to allocate in your masters talent tree. This will provide you with interesting bonuses to help you during all your other runs.
Of course, youll be able to reset the Talent tree to reallocate your points like you want (we are not monst wait). Talents bonuses are unique to each master, going from additional effects on your masters Spells to additional gameplay mechanics for your monsters. Artefacts, however, wont be kept between two different runs, just like monsters, traps or gold gained through a run.
They give you powerful bonuses to spice things up a little, going from attributes increase for specific categories of monsters to chances for fallen monsters to come back to life as Skeletons. Also, they can be upgraded several times to make them even more impactful! Youll be able to get them as a reward at the end of a dungeon youve managed to protect, to buy them to the Antiquarian or even get them during random office events. Your goal will be to protect treasures, deeply hidden in the dungeons owned by the Dungeon Company (I hope you already knew that!).
You might be wondering how you will be able to achieve this not so easy task?
Thats what your employees are paid for!
When heroes explore a dungeon in order to find its treasure, theyll have to face the traps youve placed there, but also fight the employees youve dispatched during the preparation phase.
Its time to get serious (but not too much!).
The combat system is turn-based and several attributes are coming into play. They seem obvious but a short recap wont hurt anyone:
- Speed determines the turns order
- Life helps to overcome incoming attacks and continue fighting
- Heroes Morale allow them to stand still while facing your terrifying monsters
- 4 different elemental Resistance absorbs elemental damage
- Armor partially blocks physical damage
- Power increases damage dealt by attacks
To defeat a hero, you can either reduce his Life to 0 to neutralize him or reduce his Morale to 0 to make him flee (what a coward!). Each monster has its own attacks. Monsters will be able to gain new attacks or passive attacks when training, as well as attributes increases. This will allow them to keep up with heroes becoming more and more powerful over time! As stated above, Resistance and Armor are there to reduce incoming damage. However, they can be negative values depending on the fighters, becoming a weakness and thus increasing incoming damage from the corresponding damage source. For example, with 50% Fire resistance, an incoming fire attack of 100 damage would be reduced to 50 damage. With -50% Fire resistance, it would be increased to 150 damage. Youd better be careful when choosing your monsters and placing them! Attacks have their own characteristics:
- They have a targeting behaviour (Front, Back, Zone, Self, Allies, etc.)
- They can deal damage of a specific type or even reduce Morale
- They can apply a Malus (negative effect) or Bonus (positive effect)
- They can be passive and can act as attributes increases, immunities to specific gameplay elements, some kind of limitation for other gameplay effects or can be gameplay effects triggered when the condition is met
Adventurers more prepared than we thought
Our spies have just returned from their mission with some really bad news We might have underestimated those heroes A little Fine! A LOT! We already knew that they all had their own attack. But theres more than that! They also have a skill they can use once during their exploring to ignore the effects of a trap, heal the group, swap the place of your monsters in a room or remove a Malus theyre affected by.
But thats not all! The more powerful ones also have a Passive that can give them attributes increases, magic shields, immunities or additional effects on their attacks! It seems that it will be harder than intended Well try to negotiate some additional rewards for you if you manage to defeat a group of adventurers! Meanwhile, go back to your training, fool!

This is where youll be able to manage everything! Each week, youll have to choose between different available tasks. You can always see the tasks planned for the next couple of weeks to help you take your decision. The different tasks available are as follow: Dungeon: Protect your dungeon from a group of adventurers Elite: protect your dungeon from a group of adventurers lead by a champion Merchant: Buy a monster or a trap
Trainer: Upgrade a monster Engineer: Upgrade a trap Plunder: Get some gold (but beware of the villagers anger!)
Doctor: Heal yourself Antiquary: Buy an artefact (more on them in another devlog) Transmutor: Transform a monster, a trap or an artefact into another one Event: Deal with a random event in your job environment (strike, seminar, brawl between employees, etc.)
Some events will even have an impact on your relations with the different enterprise departments!
What about my promotion?
Each year (every 52 weeks), youll have an interview with your HRD. After a brief summary of your achievements, youll be awarded with several career opportunities to choose from. The promotion will be represented by a passive bonus to help you do your job even better and overcome stronger teams of adventurers! Welcome, dear newcomer, you've been hired as a Dungeon Master!
Im the resource manager and I liked your resume.
I see that youre eager to get in the shoes of a Dungeon Master starting his career, so let me give you more details about what will be your job.
Youll be in charge of one of the countless territories owned by the Dungeon Company, with one single but not so easy task:
Protect the treasures hidden in the local dungeons!
This job requires employees management skills, knowing how to organize your agenda and making the right decisions at the right time.
Sounds fun, isnt it?
What you will do now that youre the boss:
After choosing the master you want to play with, youll have to select one of the daily tasks in your agenda. Some can get you gold, monsters or different bonuses, but some others might get you some trouble (trust us, you dont want to face the monsters syndicates).
Youll always see whats planned in your agenda for the few days to come, allowing you to anticipate and to make the right choices. This way, you can prepare yourself to overcome groups of adventurers coming for your guarded treasures. When its time to beat up some overconfident heroes thinking they can steal one of your treasures, you can dispatch your employees and set your traps up all over the place. Show them whos the boss!
How to protect your dungeons?
Thanks to your loyal sentinels and spies, youll always know when a group of adventurers will show up. I hope itll prevent you from getting fired! When theyll be in front of the doors, youll see the dungeon layout. Its time for you to plan your defense correctly against these fools! There are 10 rooms in each dungeon, 9 of them waiting to be set up. Each room has a specific purpose: place some monsters or set up a trap. Theres also a resting room where heroes will be able to catch their breath and prepare for the remaining rooms. I hope for you that they dont stand a chance anymore. What about magic?, you may ask. Dont worry! In addition to their first purpose, a few rooms allow you to cast a spell with your master to buff your monsters, deal damage to heroes or debuff them to kick them out of your dungeon!
Once youre done, heroes will run in and start exploring the dungeon... and there will be blood (but not only theirs)! Traps will automatically trigger (how convenient it is) and monsters will obey your orders during turn-based fights.

Dungeon Phase
First, you will have to plan your defense against a group of adventurers. Check their stats and resistances, then place the best traps and monsters to defeat them! When you think your dungeon is ready, let the crawl begin!
You will then be able to watch those heroes die! It's a reversed dungeon crawler, heroes will move through your dungeon and will trigger the traps you've placed. When a group of adventurers meets a group of monsters you've positioned in your dungeon, a turn-based fight will happen!
