Today we made some updates to our Tournament Anti-Cheat System. First of all - yes, it exists. Secondly, we've made some improvements to it today that should no longer be flagging players incorrectly in some rare circumstances. To make sure no one remains incorrectly banned from participating in Tournaments, we have made a clean slate and unbanned all previously flagged players today. How does it work? In simple terms, it automatically checks the authenticity of your Tournament run files, and if something is fishy you may have the Tournament system disabled for you. The effect of this is that you'll no longer see the Seal appear on the main menu. The easiest way to get flagged is to try to manipulate your Tournament save files. Don't do that! (We don't care if you manipulate any single player save files, it's just the Tournament ones we check) What can I do if I get banned? We can unban you. The best way is to ask us on our Discord server , or you can send an email to support@abrakam.com. Make sure to tell us your Steam profile name. We're not looking to stop people from having fun, but we do want to try to keep the multiplayer boards fair. As always, thank you for playing Roguebook and supporting us. Feel free to ask any questions below.
Hello Adventurers,
We hope you've been enjoying your travels in the Roguebook. Today's patch is a follow up to our last patch, aimed at addressing some of the bugs and crashes people have been experiencing following the release of the tournament mode and Fugoro.
Read on for the full notes:
We pushed out the 1.10 update a couple of weeks ago, we had a previous hot fix fresh off the heels of that update, but now we're following up with another more comprehensive pass at some issues that have been on our radar.
You can find the full list of changes in this update below:
We've pushed some hotfixes this week that dealt with the frustrating 'lag' problems people were encountering when playing cards in battle since the last update. The update also included some other random fixes. Here's the list: [olist]
Watch our developers and community play the new Tournament mode and check out the 5th character, Fugoro!
Hello All,
Fugoro has been released into the Roguebook! We hope you're excited to play the Merchant of Wonders and make use of his unique playstyle. He's very position orientated, with the melee, range, and swap cards to fulfill this playstyle, using coins to sync up with the other heroes and prepare some truly devastating combos. It can take a little prep work, but there are some extremely strong cards tucked away in this heroes deck.
Individually, Fugoro can be purchased for all runs here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1704470/Roguebook__Fugoro_Merchant_of_Wonders/
Alternatively, we've added Fugoro to the Deluxe Edition, which has raised the price of the bundle to compensate. Existing owners of the Deluxe edition will not have access to automatic access to Fugoro as a playable character. Instead, they will be able to complete their collection with a 40% discount for any Deluxe Edition owners looking to master stick fighting.
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/21277/Roguebook__Deluxe_Edition/
Lastly, Fugoro will be available in the tournament mode launching today for the entire weekend in various hero combinations. This game mode has a rotating selection of heroes and challenges for players to face scored both on speed and points scored. In the tournament mode, Fugoro will be available to all players regardless of whether or not you own the DLC. Give him a try and let us know what you think!

Todays major update introduces three new things:
It's a content DROP tomorrow with both the Tournament Mode (free content) and Fugoro (paid DLC) being added to Roguebook. It's a lot of new content, so join us tomorrow on Twitch where we'll walk you through what you can expect from the update.
Also, don't forget! Fugoro will be available in all the tournaments throughout this weekend for all players regardless of whether you own the Fugoro DLC or not. After this, he will be a regularly rotating character in this mode.
See you there!
Our next major update on the 24th of February brings some big updates and new content. First off, the Merchant of Wonders, Fugoro will find himself trapped in the Roguebook for those who purchase him as DLC.
He will also be available for all players in the new Story Tournament mode.
Congratulations on those eagle-eyed fans who realized that Fuguro, the merchant of wonders would be joining our other heroes in the Roguebook as DLC on February 24th. Additionally, Fuguro will be free to play on rotation in the Tournament Mode that will release at the same time for all players.
We'll have more details on both Fuguro and the Tournament Mode in the run-up to launch, but for now, here's a little teaser about how Fuguro plays.
Pirate, Hoarder, Frog Thief, Adventurer, Toad, what you call him may depend on whether your interactions with the Merchant of Wonder have brought you wealth or calamity. For those who find themselves trapped within the pages, of the Roguebook, perhaps it will be cathartic that the cause of their troubles will be joining them.
Fuguro is position-orientated, with a good spread of Melee, Ranged, and Swap cards to keep him moving. He's got some great combos, for those willing to put in the prep work to pull them off and makes use of coins and marks, with some special coins for synergizing with the other heroes.
Here's a sneak peek at some of his cards (click to expand):
Let it be known that another "hero" will find themselves trapped in the Roguebook on February 24th.
This mysterious stranger will be available in normal runs for those who have the DLC, or free to use at certain points in the Daily Tournmanent mode that will be released at the same time.
This year has been a wild ride for Roguebook. With further updates and the console versions on the horizon.
But it's important to take a break, so we'll be spending the holiday with friends, seeing family, and eating far too much food.
Happy Holidays Everyone!
There's no better time to get caught up in the pages of the Roguebook than over this holiday period with 35% off during the Steam Winter Sales.
Happy Holidays!

Hello! We hope youre enjoying the latest changes to Roguebook. As mentioned in our recent patch notes, we are currently working on a new hero, a daily tournament system, and for the upcoming console release. These things are quite large in scope and will take until late February to be ready for release. In the meantime, we would like to provide a smaller update focused around balance changes and less about content.
Today we are releasing an update to live servers that contains mostly bug fixes, with one balance change to Sharra's Berserking talent which was incorrectly set a bit high.
Thank you to all our fans, players, and everyone who has challenged the Roguebook. What a journey it has been. We've been humbled by the support you've shown us, the feedback you've given, and how that's helped shape Roguebook. As the year draws to a close we're approaching the Steam Awards! We'd love for you to vote for us, in the category of 'Outstanding Visual Style', as we think we really landed on something special in terms of our presentation. Or if you prefer, any other category. We've still got more exciting things to come, so make sure to keep your eyes on the Steam Page, our social media, or the Discord to make sure you're in the loop regarding what's next for Roguebook. Keep challenging those Epilogues and we'll see you soon!
Today we are releasing our 4th major update since the release of Roguebook in June of this year. This update contains some new cards, talents, optimizations, and the usual bug fixes. We thank you for all enjoying the game so far, and have some big news on what is to come next
Today's Roguebook update fixes a variety of crashes we have detected or have been reported to us since the last update. Overall stability should now be improved. In addition, the following specific issues have been addressed:
Grab your ink and make your way into the Roguebook this weekend as we join the Steam Tabletop Festival.
For those of you who've yet to discover the Roguebook, you can find 20% off the game and experience all of the updates we've released thus far, including Update 1.7, the Flash Gems patch that launched on Wednesday.
This includes the aforementioned Flash Gems, which are single-use gems acquired as loot that are usable only once but can turn the tide of a fight in your favor. This update also brings new enemies, new narratives, QoL updates, improvements, and more. You can find the full patch notes here.
Todays update contains a number of additions to Roguebook, as well as the usual bug fixing and optimizations.
While our last update focused more on tracking player data more thoroughly, this update is more content focused. We are happy to introduce: Flash Gems.
Join us tomorrow on http://twitch.tv/Nacon where Richard Garfield and the team will reveal the winner of the Roguebook Design contest!
The winner will have their cards brought into the game and receive one of the rarest cards in Magic the Gathering, the fabled 'Black Lotus'.
Thank you to everyone who submitted their designs for the contest, we had so many creative entries and will be highlighting some of our favorites on stream.
We've released a small update today that fixes a few of the major issues we've seen since the release of 1.6. Thank you for your continued reports/feedback. We don't normally like to make smaller balance changes between major updates, but the case of Magda's Scissors was a bit severe. You'll now need to search a little harder for this special tool.
Today we are releasing a major Roguebook update for PC, Mac, and Linux versions.
Before we go further, it is important to note that runs from previous versions will become incompatible with 1.6.
If you have a run in progress, you will be prompted the following when you log in:
From here, you may either drop your current run and begin anew in 1.6, or choose to downgrade your version and continue. Once you downgrade, however, you will need to re-update in order to continue playing.

Without further ado, heres whats new:

Hey everyone. We welcome you to our latest patch. Version 1.5 has addressed so many issues it's hard to know where to start. The team has been working non-stop since our launch in June. This patch is the fruits of our labour, it not only includes fixes for known issues, improvements on QoL, and directly implemented community feedback... buuuut also NEW FREE content too. The Gem Mines! As always, your feedback is essential in streamlining the Roguebook experience for everyone. Please take your time to have a look at how we've improved the game for you, and if you like, leave a comment below. We're reading everything. Thank you.
Hey everyone. Our patch this week focuses on addressing a wide array of bugs, as well as a few balance changes. These balance changes are still relatively small in scope in comparison to what we have planned. Reducing some of the more frustrating RNG is on our radar, as well as more adjustments to Seifer. You can expect more changes from us in this area.
It's here! There is now a Mac version available for Roguebook on Steam.
Sorry for the wait.
Here are the system requirements:
As always, let us know of any issues - and thank you for your patience.
Hey everyone. Welcome to the first major post-release patch notes for Roguebook. This update is being applied to Steam today, and is meant to address a number of issues we have been tracking since release. Thank you for all the reports that have helped us develop these fixes. This patch will also introduce some small balance changes to the game, which are discussed further down.
Since the release of Roguebook on June 17th, we've received a lot of valuable feedback. The reception has been a mixture of good and bad, but there is a severe issue that we feel we need to address immediately: our launch DLC. Weve made a mistake and wed like to apologize for it.
When we created the Digital Deluxe Edition of Roguebook, our goal was to create an option for those who wanted to show a little additional support for the game. We focused on cosmetics, but we were concerned this wouldn't be enough. So we ended up creating some exclusive content as a bonus for players who wanted to support the game and get more from it. In hindsight, this was a mistake and one we'd like to fix.
We have integrated the Apex Predator Pack into the base game, for free.
Having done this, we have worked with Steam to lift the restrictions on requesting a refund. Anyone, regardless of playtime will be able to request a refund on the Apex Predator Pack, regardless of whether you purchased it as a bundle or separately.
One exception is the Deluxe pre-order customers, who will need to ask for a complete refund of the game and then purchase the game again at the new price. If you wish to keep your progression, make sure to copy your save data located here:
Once again, we'd like to apologize to our community. We worked very hard on Roguebook, and want to be sure we're treating our supporters right. Please continue to hold us accountable and send us feedback. You can count on us to take action. We would have prefered to have made all of the right decisions before release, but we will settle for learning from this mistake.
Version 1.4 will arrive this week, introducing a very long list of improvements of all sorts. Our will is to keep forging the game as time goes by, this is about listening to our players not only to address issues, but also by creating additional free content that will help the game shine. This is just the beginning. Thank you for your understanding, and see you on the forums.
We want to welcome all the new players to the world of Roguebook!
Since our launch yesterday we've received tons of great community feedback on the game. Abrakam and Nacon are working hard to consolidate all of this into actionable tasks to improve the balancing of the game.
Join us on the forums if you've got feedback, because we'd love to hear it!
We've pushed a small patch live fixing some day 1 issues;

Today we are deploying our next major update for the Alpha version of Roguebook. We are nearing the end of our major updates for the Alpha client as we prepare the real beta with all the fancy bells and whistles. Weve teased what weve been working on for this update earlier this year, but a few things have changed since then. This is also why its arrived a little later than planned. Sorry about that. This isnt just a content update, but a major overhaul of some core designs in the game. Weve done a good bit of internal testing and tweaking to the point where we think we are ready for the public to test it. Thats you!
