The Patch Notes are way too big to post here as a whole, so here is the Featured content: Featured Chaos Tower Re-worked: Gain 1 buff/reward and choose 1 of 3 random debuffs per floor. Boss is accessed by key fragments dropped from the floors, no more quest. Inferno Difficulty Due to player demand we decided to add a new very hard difficulty to the game for late end game challenge (Bosses can drop an additional exclusive loot with 25%) Angel of Justice Shrine Added a new shrine on Inferno difficulty with a very small chance which always drops a random SS tier item (can also drop angelics). Blood Pact We are introducing private leagues that you can customize in various ways! You can purchase 3 different tiers of Blood Pact: 10 Players / 20 Players / 30 Players. Blood Pact requires the player to create a "Blood Pact" character and lasts for 15 days. If you are not in an active pact you wont be able to play the character. In Blood Pact you can trade with players in your pact and use the guild stash. Lobby, Chat, and Room System Update Whats New? We're improving how lobbies, chats, and games work and are displayed. Here's what's changed: Chat Region Selection: - When logging into your account region, you can now select your chat region (for General and Trade chat) from the dropdown menu at the top. (Note: Guild chat remains global and is unaffected). Game Server Selection: When creating a game, you can choose your preferred game server. Servers are automatically sorted to show the best (lowest ping) options for you at the top. Game List Improvements: You can now view all available games in a list, showing: - Server region flags for easy identification. - Ping to each server for better connection choices. - We recommend picking the lowest ping for smoother gameplay. Filters: - Find your friends server easily by providing the name to the search bar! - Filter available rooms by preferences like difficulty or open/closed status. - Filter by region!

Our beta testers have been absolutely amazing at providing feedback and together we have cooked one craaaaazy season for you good people! The patch notes just surpassed 800 lines and are massive! A decade ago Jussi and I got the opportunity of releasing Hero Siege on Steam and starting our company Panic Art Studios. Reflecting on the journey, it's almost surreal how our passion project transformed into a thriving reality. Back in the days of our studies at TAMK University of Applied Science we dabbled in game development during our free hours, but it was a spontaneous decision to do a 48-hour game jam that set the wheels in motion.
Pooling in votes for Style & Genre from our audience, the winning combination turned out to be "Arena/Hack n slash" + "Medieval/Fantasy". What started as a game jam project after the event evolved into Hero Siege. The journey from then till now has been an insane commitment, with nonstop efforts to bring the game to its current state. We stand here today proud of what we've built, and equally grateful for the passionate individuals who now form our team.
Hero Siege is not just a game it's a manifestation of our passion and dedication, a project for creative minds to thrive and a source of excitement for our players. For this, go to Zone 2 "Flooded Plains", find the portal to "Gates of Valhalla" and enter the room and walk the chains. You should receive the quest correctly when leaving the room by falling to Zone 3.

Greetings! After intensive experimentation and player feedback we decided to make some changes that most players can perhaps appreciate! I also want to personally apologize my childish behavior during the beta period, It was not the right way to respond no matter how infuriating the argument was. I should've listened and taken more time to process the feedback that was given. I feel like the 100 hour work weeks and immense stress clouded my judgement completely. For all of this I apologize and try my best to do better. Now lets continue to the sweet stuff!

After going over community suggestions and having tons of good discussions with our active players as well as playing the game a lot our selves we have a pretty good understanding what the problems are and what should be improved!
6.0.17 Patch Notes - Fixed a critical error in Trading and Mailing UI when splitting stacks and putting them to the trade slot. - Fixed Mining Node double input. - Increased Gamepad Cursor max length from 300px to 340px - this should now be more inline with Mouse + KB. - Improved Jumping logic with Gamepad - This should also now be more inline with Mouse + KB - Fixed Enigma and other teleport effects being significantly shorter on Gamepad vs. KB+Mouse - Fixed an Issue with Angelic Realm chests, where if you closed the UI pressing "ESC" instead of the "X" you would not be prompted with a warning.

Season 14 Beta is now live!
We will be releasing a more detailed set of patch notes in a few hours from now but here are some things you can look forward to in the S14 Beta:
-New Zone Assets, many of the above ground act zones have had their entire sprites and themes change to be more thematic.
-New Item tier, Chase tier. These items are linked to a specific zone and have a rare drop chance. Work together with your friends to find these lost items.
-Item Rebalance. In S13 our items were not exactly on point as many of you know. We are working very hard to ensure the items feel great to wield or trade to others rather than just being the item you leave on the floor. These changes should also open up other build options. Not all items have been updated just yet but as we go through the beta these will be addressed.
-Drop Balance Changes. Drop rates in S13 were not on point and drops felt too rare. Now you should see an increase in overall drops.
-Chaos Tower reward system has changed including drop rates from King Rahkul. Pushing farther into the Chaos Towers now grants you better rewards. The higher level King Rahkul's that you kill also increase the odds of his drops increasing.
-Wormhole Changes. Wormholes are now focused on competing on the ladder rather than as a farm zone. Every wormhole you enter, you will not gain and experience or loot until you successfully complete the timer and kill the boss. Your WH level will automatically +1 after the boss kill.
-Ruby drops. Bosses, Act Bosses, Dungeon Chests and Uber Bosses now drop more crystals/rubies since there were some issues in S13.
-Tons on quality of life changes from reducing slowdown, fixing skills that created a lot of fps issues, changes to the Adventure Journal and many more.
This is just a short preview of some of the work we have done to make the world of Tarethiel better and we will continue to move forward and bring new life to Hero Siege.

Unfortunately we ran into some issues with basic attack damage not supporting multiple damage types, thus impacting the various elemental penetration stats etc. We had to re-program the whole system and it needs to be tested well before we want to put the next season out. Sorry for the inconvenience! New release date is 21th of July 2020.

Hello, Unfortunately there is a hacker attacking our servers and the person has managed to ban every account in the game. This attack has been going for weeks and has now escalated. We are currently looking for a fix to this and have disabled multiplayer for a while. We are sorry for the issue.

One major thing is that the base game is now 6 ACTS. The current ACT DLC's will be class DLC's after 3.0 with all the extras, so only the zones will be included for free. Price stays the same, so nothing changes technically.

Hello! We have been working quietly and hard for the past 4 months. We are soon ready for public beta on the update, but are still polishing a few things!
So hard work, sleepless nights and overall stress has paid off, we have pretty much finished doing all the weapon animations so you can expect to show off your swaggy weapon in 3.0 to everyone ;)
We are also adding plenty of new zone specific dungeons where you can farm for certain stuff, for example the "Old Tower" in ACT 1 Zone 4 has 3 levels with a "miniboss" that drops runes with the highest chance in the game.
We wanna put more weight on different areas in the game, so the player can do more than just grind wormholes. Also "Magic Find" stat is added to the game, to increase drop chance for special items.
Networking engine re-work now enables players to have individual gaming experiences within the same game. The host no longer determines where you can go and when you have to leave a certain place, you can now just venture on your own while chatting with other players and join them via town portal if you wish!
All weapons also have unique sound work done to them for the best audio-visual feedback.
We are working hard on the 3.0 for Hero Siege.
Currently we are re-writing the networking code and working on rest of the weapon attack animations etc. The Networking code re-write will feature the system where clients are no longer host dependent, everyone can go wherever in the game they please so if the host leaves a zone the clients wont longer follow the host.
What we have already done:
- Cleaned all the code in the game, removed around 10000 lines of useless code.
- Ported Hero Siege from GMS1 to GMS2
- Made loading and saving 10 times faster
- Made animations for every weapon in the game by hand, yes pixel art in this is kinda crappy since you cant just make a model and put it into a skeleton like in 3D
- Improved a boat load of things in the game art, sound and game play wise.

Hello, Unfortunately due to problems caused by Town Portal, ruby respawn abuse with Magnet relic and stacking GoH runes broke the game so we had to fix these issues and make a soft reset on WH 100+ ranks and gear. Here are the patch notes: General - Wormhole key drop rate from all bosses 26% - Mystery chests now only drop 1 Wormhole key - Removed Sheep King and Uber Damien 100% WH Key drop rate. - Act Zones now remain as they are when you leave with town portal. Enemies, items, loot will not re-spawn. - Lowered boss piece sell price to 125 gold from 5000 gold (old price from old balance) - UI / Graphics Improvements - Re-worked Crypts graphics wise and added enemies - Nerfed Magnet relic and collecting drops. (Magnet now only increases range a bit and drops wont come behind walls and over chasms. - Improved Ingame dungeon shop. Fixes - Fixed Client wings wont draw to side if attacking - Fixed a more readable font for the game. - Fixed Parasectoid boss in wormhole - Fixed Thunderstorm cast range on enemies. - Fixed Stone Skin viking talent, no longer lowers armor. - Fixed small enemies. Hero Siege will be crossplatform on PS4 with PC / Mobile (HOPEFULLY). There are ton of restrictions and guidelines we need to work on for this to happen so it will take some time unfortunately....
Switch will be cross with PC / Mobile as well, but not with PS4 due to Sony's policies. I know this is tricky but we will try to make it as good as possible.

We are patching the game and server next week so there will be a short maintenance at 12 AM GMT+2. (Monday 17th)
The main fix is the random crash that happens in multiplayer out of nowhere, this was due to Game Maker's built in Package Handler that some times handled packages the wrong way which results in a crash.

Hello, So as the reviews have stated, the game pretty much seems like a DLC simulator, which is a result of 4 years of hard work and content creating. The DLC has piled up and now making it look bad. We decided to change the pricing of the DLC, since removing some and making it part of the base game would be wrong towards the people who have bought the DLC's in the first place. Our new pricing is: - Skins now cost $0.99 - Classes now cost $1.99 - Older expansions cost $1.99 and $2.99 for Collector's Edition. - The Newest expansion will always stay at its release price, and will be lowered once we come out with a new expansion. I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

We have been working our dream jobs for the past 4 years that Hero Siege has existed, and we will continue doing it till the day we die. If not with Hero Siege, then another game that we will make :) We have 1,000,000 registered accounts in the game at this date, which is frigging crazy and awesome! Now to the topic: We have been thinking about many things regarding the game's future and here are some of the things we want to bring for you guys to enjoy: - A smooth working trading system where you can trade between rubies/runes/loot (for example give 10000 rubies for a piece of loot, or give 2 runes for that loot etc). I think this will create some kind of financial ecosystem inside the game. - Disenchanting items to get materials that can be used to upgrade your items to the current WH Level matching iLevel - Daily Quests and quest streaks (do daily quests for a week in row and get a ton of rubies etc). - New bosses and WH themes - New class (Marauder) - Unique Satanics (randomized satanics will be removed). This means items drop with vary stats that change playstyle etc.
The holidays have come to an end so the Xmas event will be removed on Friday, you still have this week to complete the quests and claim the rewards! :)

Due to popular demand, and taking in new player motivation to compete on the leaderboards we have done these things: - iLevel capped - Wormhole system re-vamped - Toxic WH effects removed - Wormhole levels are now randomized We don't want the wormhole level gain to get out of hand, so rather make it about skills + talent/stat optimization in order to progress higher. Also since the wormhole levels are now randomized, botting and clear tactics no longer work. There will be more areas in the launch, but just 2 for now in wormholes. We are working with WhisperGames from China in order to bring Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean translation for the game.
This has been on the works for some time now, its a slow process unfortunately and since we are from Finland, it was really hard to find a reliable company to help us with the translations.
Also I noticed that there are ton of negative reviews because the game doesn't have chinese translation. Look, I get it you like the game and we are happy for that but please stop this, its hurting the games listing and sales as well as its future. We do listen to players and read forum topics even if we dont always answer them, and for example have been working to bring you the translations that you so much wanted.

Helloooo, We are currently working on making the mana system less tedious. All classes will be getting a base manacost for the spells which will be percentual from your max mana + a flat increase per point. This way the manacosts won't ever go so overboard that you would not be able to cast a spell. Hopefully we will get this out soon! Hold on! :)

Hellooo!! Soo we have been fighting with the PS4 version of the game for a while, we planned to release it as 30 FPS due to the game being so heavy. But during massive debugging and investigating we managed to get the PS4 FPS from 32 up to a stable 80-85 by some cool magic tricks! This means the PS4 version will be coming out as 60 FPS and that PC performance will be at least doubled! This is a victory for all of us due to lags in wormholes etc! Hello, So we have a sale atm, which did bring us like 60,000 new players. This means the servers are experiencing some serious flood, and are crashing often. We are looking to upgrade the computers at our provider's to support higher performance. There also was a problem with login (wrong password etc). This has been fixed now, so go play! :) Also if playing alone, We always suggest P2P over official servers, for 0 ping and reliable (will never crash due to lag etc). - Leaderboards are now divided into 4 brackets (solo, duo, trio, quad)
- ilevel cap removed
- Enemy scaling increased and cap removed
- +all talents & +single talent cap removed
- Lifesteal + manaleech in weapons now comes as 2-6% from max hp/mana
- You can gain up to 9 WH levels by being really fast.
And more. This all requires a ton of testing and we really want to be sure its the best we can bring you!
We are working really really hard to make the game into the best Hero Siege possible!

Next patch will bring alot of hopefully nice things for all of you! - iLevel cap will be removed but in the off-side, the difficulty curve will be harder - You can now get up to 9 wormhole levels + per completion if you do it fast. Every 10% of the timer means +1 WH level upon completion. - Mystery Chests drop less keys now. - We removed all the current Wormhole Areas and will add up to 10-15 different new areas that are beautiful and pre-made and designed for WH action - Adding new bosses to wormholes with new gimmicks. - Making divided leaderboards for Solo, Duo, Trio and Quadra group WH levels! - We also fixed a bunch of bugs on top of this.

Hello everyone, We know you were excited about season one in Hero Siege. Trust me, we were excited as well. But everything didn't go as we planned. About leaderboard. We accidentally set wrong value into our code. Basicly this means, it shows non-seasonal character leaderboards, not seasonal character. Seasonal and non-seasonal characters are able to play together. The problem with this obviously is, that non-seasonal characters are able to boost seasonal characters and share items. Relics and items in your inventory dissappearing. This one is painful for couple of reasons. It doesn't happen to everyone and it doesn't happen to us. If we could make our relics and items in inventory dissappear, we could study it much better. We are informing our server guy, that he needs to take a better look at the script when it comes to loading the character slots. Or whatever is causing those issues. Overall, we are working hard to make everything right and fix these issues. We are not happy with the patch that we released. We are sorry for this. Because of the reasons mentioned above, we are going to reset the ladder. We want this to be fair for everyone. As an apology, we are going to give players 10,000 rubies (you get to keep rubies which you farmed). There is a Patch coming soon to address the biggest issues.

With the upcoming Season 1 patch we will also change the meta quite a bit. The Viking will get a huge buff with his new 9th talent re-work. It now adds 1% per point flat damage increase and doubles the effect with chest or helm synergy.
Every other class got buffed pretty much and slightly nerfed marksman / demonspawn.
We are still working on polishing the patch so please be patient, we will release it next week hopefully! We will also plan the season 1 rewards later, so just know that those will come but will not be announced just yet!
New bosses for wormholes and new areas for wormholes are also coming in a later patch.

I am now giving a status update due to some worries and questions you guys have.
About the upcoming patch:
We are still working on it, there are scripts we need to add in order to get all the features in and a lot of balancing we are doing right now. We rather postpone it than release a broken game. We want it to be the best product possible, this patch is very important for us and all of you so it needs to be good. We will release it asap.
About concerns of Hero Siege support:
We currently have 5 people working at our office including our game tester / designer / community manager Sarcaster
There is 2 people working on Eastfound so we still support Hero Siege and will keep adding content to it and ironing it out. We are also trying to polish all the nasty multiplayer bugs out as well as we can.

Hello everyone! Exciting patch is on the way! In this post we are going to tell you what we are going to add/change.
We are going to reset wormhole level since we are going to start season one in next patch! One season lasts for six months. If you want to compete in the leaderboards you have to create a new character, check "season" button,
level to 150 and then jump in to wormholes! This also gives new incomers a chance to compete with old veterans! There are some visual rewards for people who gets to top 50. #1 player gets a diamond pentagram next to his name,
#2 gets golden pentagram, #3 silver pentagram and everyone between 4-50 gets bronze pentagram.
If you don't want to climb leaderboards just continue playing with your old character!
We are going to remove "Gold to ruby" conversion totally. BUT we will increase the amount of rubies you get as loot. Magister Kujala is going to sell mystery chests in Town of Inoya for rubies.
You are able to get hats, satanic items, wormhole keys and relics from these mystery chests.
The amount of rubies you get from wormhole bosses scales with wormhole level.
From wormhole level 1 to 50 you get loot from mystery chests which matches the wormhole level you are currently tackling. After you get above wormhole level 50, you have a chance to get better satanic loot from mystery chests.
This caps at wormhole level 100.
When the patch comes live, your rubies will be compressed to 2500. For example, if you have 5000 rubies, after patch you'll have 2500 rubies. If you have 300 rubies, after patch you still have same amount of rubies.
Also wormhole bosses are going to have a chance to drop really rare loot!
This new and exciting patch will be released next week!
We have also fixed bugs, balanced characters but all that information you are able to check from patch notes when then patch goes live!

We are removing the gold to rubies conversion for good and will instead give more ruby drops from wormholes.
Rubies can be used to buy mystery chests which can either give you relics, high item level satanics for people over 50 WH (better than what you get from WH), or a bunch of keys or wormhole keys and maybe even hats n stuff! (These can also drop from major bosses with a low percentage).
We will also be welcoming season 1 and the guilds!
So since there have been lots of requests for a Pyromancer skin, I've been putting in the hours and working at this. There is still plenty of work!
I have banned a big bunch of players today which sucks, I don't want to do it but its the only way to get rid of people who ruin the fun for others. Please don't cheat, our system is very strickt and it will flag you and get you banned. Also do not accept cheated items from cheaters, because those get you flagged and it makes our lives harder. There will be a system in the future that detects changed stats and instabans the cheater immediately, but for now its all manual. So yeah, lets all be legit and enjoy the game yo!
Lets try this one more time. I triple checked no broken constants now, should work just fine in game and out. Waking up today was my biggest misstake. What a failed day. gl hf.

- Enemies now have Armor in wormholes which raises 1% per wormhole level reaching

Nomad
- Rupture now deals weapon damage + extra on top according to talent level.
Demonspawn
- Fixed Manacalypse cooldown for host with synergy.
Necromancer

This is a status update for plenty of things:
We have fixed a few more nasty bugs that have been haunting the game for ages! We also have had time to really balance out Wormholes and balance relics out and find exploits etc.
We will be patching the game next week which will mostly be bug fixes and optimization etc. On the same time we update all PHP scripts with better optimization which should improve plenty of things server side.
So what you all prolly wonder, what is "The Void"?
The Void will be a "Raid Dungeon" for a team of 4 players. You can open "The Void" as a group of 4 players and take on some seriously nasty 4 player gimmick bosses with many phases.
We will Introduce Double Talents and will slowly start adding tank and healing specs to all classes (well not every class is going to be a tank and a healer :D).
The Void will require 2 DPS, 1 Healer and 1 Tank to be cleared. The bosses drop higher item level loot than Wormholes and are a ton harder and require real cordination between the group.

Hello everyone, I wanted to bring this to your attention. There are still alot of cheaters, and we are manually banning them but the amount of reports are just crazy so I cannot put my time into reading them so this is what we do: Our system that detects that item stats have been changed with a 3rd party software, or any values in the game have been changed with a 3rd party software will just permanently ban you instantly if this happens. Not to worry because the algorithm is 100% proof and wont ban you without reason. In better news, we are slowly getting those wormholes in a working state and can start thinking about launching the first season! ps. I dont like banning people but I hope this stops atleast 1 of you from doing something stupid!

GENERAL - Softened zone 1 and zone 2 in act 1 for normal. - Removed Connect to IP option since nobody uses it and it causes exploit problems - Started working on a Guild system, hold on! - Nerfed Punisher mobs by dropping amount of spikeballs from 4 to 2. - Gear multiplier now scales with boss rarity, it adds 2 multipliers per rarity. - Satanics dont always give synergy now, synergy chance is now 50% which has 33% chance to be 1-3 - Every additional player in a game now increases chance of legendary, mythic and satanic drops by 2% - Movement speed fixed + movement speed going up the roof fixed. - Starting area in Wormholes cannot bug out now. as well as portal - Synced boss voice acting to clients - Synced a bunch of relics for clients and host. Demonspawn - Demonic Presence is now percentual instead of a flat + Amazon - No longer crashes everyone as client.
GENERAL - Amazon crashing fixed? (atleast I played for a long while without crashing). - Fixed a possible crash on marksman when attacking enemy. - Changed boss wave to 6 in all difficulties. - Nerfed all relic damage and Basilisk tooth in wormholes - Fixed a crash with amazon and paladin. - Added more latency to spam filter in chat and fixed copy pasting resulting too long text. - Colossal arrow fixed (no synergy in it but still applies) - Clients can now see demon god's balls. - Renaming is now disabled till we get it fixed. - Added ilevel to merchant draw - Fixed trading (should be flawless now) - Relics disappearing fixed (our load started from index 1 when demon horn was index 0 and having demon horn caused this bug, took us 2 years to figure it out =DDDDD). - Increased Gold drops + doubled its scaling - Improved Wormhole randomization and enemy stucking outside of borders.

I figured out what the problem is, since we use different timers for SP and MP. I have now fixed it internally and will be patching asap i fix the other issues the last patch introduced.
Sorry for that, it was a result of a hangover fullfilled long work day. all good now, just get the latest patch!

CLASSES - Amazon's Tropic Thunder is now fixed 10% chance.
