New class (druidic armor) with 4 new skills and 2 skills variations:


  • Verdant Stride
Unlock a progressively faster running ability while simultaneously fostering grass growth on dirt as you run.

  • Nature's Attraction
Exert a magnetic force of nature to draw in souls, drops, and removable plants.

  • Nature's Bloom
Use the surrounding elements to nurture plant growth within an 8-block radius while gaining a resistance buff depending on the nearby blocks elemental affinity.

  • Elemental Aura
Channel the ambient elements to generate an encompassing aura, influenced by nearby blocks and the prevailing biome.

  • Elemental Burst
Harness the surrounding elements to unleash a spell that draws from nearby blocks and the current biome.

  • Elemental Terraformation
Reshape the landscape within an 8-block radius using the selected weapon's element in your hotbar.

Breeding:

  • 4 currencies to add some control over the offspring. (Can be obtained on the sacrifice table depending on the rarity of the sacrifices)
  • Gene system to increase the stats range of the offspring. Can be inherited.
  • It is possible to gets stats higher than 50 (up to 100).


Magitech:

  • Fixed: if multiple outputs of the same gate are connected, value is broken

  • obsidian (when lava enter in contact with water), and new decoration set associated.



Notes on the gene system:
For each stat, the lower bound of the range was calculated as the min stat of parents divided by two.
Now the lower bound is equal to max(min_stat/2, min_stat_gene).
There is a gene for each stat.
Genes are inherited following this formula:
inherited_gene = min((gene_min + gene_median) / 4 + (stat_min + stat_median) / 4, 100)

Quick Bug fixes patch!

Gamepad bindings:
- Move camera by maintening Y + pressing any D-Pad direction
- Move the cursor tile by tile by maintening Y + pressing any D-Pad direction when in free cursor mode (R1 + Y to toggle free cursor)
- Auto Dig with L1 + Right Stick
- Block picker with L1 + Right Stick when in free cursor mode
- Hide/Reveal chests toggle with L1 + Left Stick


Fix
- Tutorial cursor is buggy when game is zoomed

New patch! Pad/Steamdeck compatibility! + New event

At least! Many players were impatiently waiting to be able to play with a controller or the steamdeck, it is now possible!

The implementation is done but there may be problems and we are counting on you to report to us any problems encountered related to the use of your controllers or the steamdeck!

IMPORTANT! For Steam Deck users: Change the Current Layout to the "Gamepad With Joystick Trackpad" template (click on the controller icon to the right of Play).

About the event, you will sometimes see bubbles in the sky containing objects, it's up to you to get them!


Adds:

- Controller support (experimental)
- Ability to switch from controller / keyboard in game just by pressing any key
- New optional directional mode (experimental)
- New small event: bubbles

Fix:
- TRex is uncapturable
- Random crash when starting

The directional mode no longer uses the cursor as a reference for the front of the player.
If you press Left, the player will move to the left, even if he was facing right.
You can toggle the directional mode with 'L1 + Y'.

Note: atm the game only support one layout, but it should be possible to configure different layouts with Steam big picture.

No menu is associated to to the controler, but you should be able to use any controller at any time.

Holy cow already 3 1/2 months seens the last patch! Sorry but it was a pretty hard one to made.

- Spawn override system for events (will be used to create invasions, special monsters, give more controls about the spawn system and so more possibilities, unlock new npc etc...)

- Aura system: a circual AoE that can be assigned to any entity, can be modded with config files
- 14 totems (added in lua):
- Burning totem lv1 and lv2 with a small burning aura
- Poison totem lv1 with a small poison aura
- High gravity totem, with an aura that increase gravity for the player
- Pulsed totem, high recoil and blast damage
- Healing totem that heals monsters in the AoE

Hello! New class! We are currently working on integrating the aura mechanics which will be effect zones in which variables can be changed (being slowed down, not being able to jump, taking continuous fire damage etc...) they will open up several possibilities both for the monsters and for the player!

- new class (silver) duelist with 4 skills:

- possibility to walk over 1 block height walls (can be disabled in options)
- advanced graphics option to change filtering for fractional zooms (like x1.5 zoom)

Fixed:
- multiplayer: soulgem initial velocity is broken, which makes soulgems to fly away if a client throw one

- NPCs craft stations: after save & quit, NPCs are no longer associated with the station
- many monsters are invisible in previews


Class skill:
- Intimidation: Reduces the damage inflicted by the nearest opponent by 50% and increases physical damages on it.

- Counter Attack: If take damages within 1 sec, reflects the damage on the enemy and reduces damage taken by 50%

- Ultimate Parry: Nullifies 75% of an attack within 1.0 sec, and project the enemy. Remaining 25% are reduced by 0.4% of Max SP.


- Dash Attack: Inflicts damage to opponents when dashing. DMG dealt by this skill is increased by 2% of Max SP

New patch! F1 Game tutorial - New feeder + bug fixes!

Hello! This patch took some time because we also started the integration of the gamepad (and it's not easy, and it will still take some time) and we are also working on a new class that will arrive soon with another patch!


Changelog 0.13.5

Adds
- A complete game tutorial with videos (F1), totally customisable/moddable
- New chicken feeder with possibility to use soulgems inside
- Hapiness, food and energy bar added to tamed chickens/cows
- NPC's stations interface has been completely redone

Changes
- Improved performances of the windows build by 60% (moved from 32 bits to 64 bits)
- Smith: chances to get a Red item increased from 0.38% to 1.57%
- Sacrifice souls are visible if the player don't have any buff/debuff icon
- Dead chickens/cows associated to a feeder will not be lost

Fix:
- NPC pathfinding
- NPC are not sync on multiplayer
- Smith: rarity factor increased from 1.5 to 1.9
- Guns and scepters are invisible
- Chicken and cow are associated to mangers multiple times
- Belts don't update correctly the cogs connections
- Runes malus is not visible on armors
- Some UI crashes
- Refactor of entities game code to remove some random crashes

Notes:
- In multiplayer, the tutorial will automatically close if you take damages

- Added a global game event manager, used atm only to unlock tutorial entries
- Many parts of the engine have been refactored to cleanup/fix bugs/add new features

New Class! The Breaker!

Hello! Another new class, The breaker! (Iron armor)

1 - Eviction "Project enemies and the Spike Ball straight ahead, but contact damage is capped at 50%"


2 - Spike Ball "Spawn a spike ball that you can project on monsters to inflict damages. It's level is equal to 35% of Max HP."


3 - Hammer Throw "Throw an iron hammer that comes back like a boomerang. It's level is equal to 25% of Max HP."

Changelog

Adds:
- New weapon type: the hammer (blunt damages), with 3 upgradable skills:
- Hit Down
- Project Up
- Spin
- Entities projected by the hammer will inflict contact damage to monsters.
- New class (iron) with 4 skills:

- Eviction
- 8 tiers of craftable hammers from wood to gold

It exports an image of the specified item's tooltip

Internal:

Notes:
- The hammer can project monsters with a normal blow, depending on the weapon's tier.
- When jumping, the normal hit can project the falling monsters and they will

It is possible to control the direction of this projection using the movement keys.
- Contact damages are proportional to the Max HP stat of the projected monster

Sorry for the lack of content but it was important to fix a lot of bugs first but cheer up! You will have a little surprise in the next patch!

- Necklace attributes disappear after using a rarity reroll currency
- Currencies: rerolling 'Void' effect freeze the game

- Monk (rapier) getup animation bug (sprite -1 not found)

Hello! Another new class, the weapon master! (Copper armor) A class whose skills will allow you to use several weapons without having to change them manually (bow, boomerang, sword...) and which will allow you to throw knives at high speed! Hello! Another new class, the defender! (bronze armor) A class with great survivability that will make you an invincible wall!

1 - Boar's blessing "Grants life bonus and life regeneration"

2 - Boar's Impact "Dash and project monsters"


3 - Defender's Burst "Each hit you take or inflict charges the gauge which will define the power and the radius of the blow. DMG dealt by this skill is increased by 3% of Max HP."


4 - Absolute Barrier "Grants an invincibility shield for 2 sec. The shield breaks on hit."

Patch 0.13.1-New Miner Class! Sonar - Directional light - Throwing pickaxe...

Hello! A new utility class, the miner! (tin armor), Directional lights helmet, glowing sticks, sonar, explosive & throwing pickaxe skills! The patch took a little time because the light engine had to be partially redone to optimize the directional light level resources & Oni had to redesign the particle engine in anticipation of future needs for new bosses and functions.

Adds:
- New class: the miner (tin armor), with 4 skills and a mining speed bonus:
- sonar
- Glowing sticks
- Pickaxe throwing
- explosive pickaxe
- Upgrades of the lighting engine
- directional lights
- a light pass to amplify the lights on precise areas (can be disabled in config.ini)
- A directional light is associated to the miner helmet (works also on the vanilla slot)
- Particles: hot reload is now supported for configuration files (F11)

Patch 0.13, Class system! Play the abyssal hunter! Diagonal dash, armor leveling

Hello! The patch took some time because, aside a lot of fixes and new little content like the armors leveling, it was necessary to add all the code necessary for the elaboration of the classes in general (the way skills are managed, displayed etc...) in short, the new classes will be much faster to create now!

Our first class! The Abyssal hunter! (4 unique skills!) it's a mid-end game armor you can have by killing a boss that former players already know (new bosses are planned ofc, a lot).






Changelog 0.13.0.0
Adds:
- The first class, Abyssal hunter! (Know as Dark armor before). Skills : Abyssal Mark/Arrow/Mine/Veil
- Abyssal hunter full set bonus: extra jump, convert some hp to mp
- Directional dash : horizontal, vertical, diagonal (a dash that will be executed in the same angle from where the mouse cursor is positioned will be added later.)
- Armors leveling
- Full armor set gives now unique skills, magnet (attract souls and drops) and fast run
- Mana gauge

We also work on classes. By this we mean that a combination of armor and potentially special weapons will allow you to obtain unique abilities that will allow you to become an archer, a mage, a priest, a berserker etc... Patch! Weapon leveling! New mid-boss (Early game) - New boomerangs and more!

Hello! The new update introduces weapon leveling (for swords, bommerangs and bows).
Like pets, your swords can gain exp by killing monsters, but also receive exp through upgrade crystals.
Ascension allows you to unlock up to 7 tiers of levels for your weapons (1-10, 10-20, etc..), but requires materials found on bosses, and souls.
With this new system, all weapons, even low tier ones, can be usefull at the end of the game.
Now many weapon have also a main stat, which scale with the level.

New update also introduce the first boss, present near the surface in caves, stats increase of pets, and few new boomerangs.
One of them is hidden on the surface near the spawn, another can be crafted from wisp dust and allows you to see through blocks!

Adds:
- New boss (low tier boss, requires a new world)
- Each sword, boomerang, bow can be leveled up, like monster (max level is 70)
- Swords have a main stat or enchant that scale (not always) with the level
- Each equipment part have an invisible special level which determines the tables (WIP, not all items have different tables)
used to generate stats/enchants (only 3 different tables per item accessibles atm)
- Many new items enchants (but they are not all used yet)

- Added critical as rare random substat to rings/gems/necklaces
- Quest rewards are added directly to the inventory if you click on them
- Soul harvester are always highlighted if any crystal is placed to avoid stroboscopic effects

- added 30% physical resistance
- added 25HP bonus
- pets now have natural regen (2HP / sec)

Fix:
- Random crash caused by light emitters
- If you click on the Soul Gem quest reward, it will be thrown in the air
- Skeleton palette problem

Patch! New currencies mechanics, recycle your weapons for precious currencies!

Hello!

New patch including new mechanics, currencies!

What does this mean? That you will no longer have to destroy the 10,000 weapons you found, you can recycle them into currencies that will allow you to re-craft other weapons in many ways!


ps : Small precision: avoid recycling your "red" weapons (level 7) in the next patches, there will be mechanics to fix your level 7 weapons that do not suit you

8 News grenades, new soul containers, new magitech gates, new shield mechanics!

Hello!

New patch with news Grenades, new souls containers (bigger capacity), new magitech gates and the new shield mechanics! (you will now have a gauge linked to the shield, when you use it, it will cancel 90% of the damages if you have enough gauge left for that).
Many optimizations make the game run better on some computers when the world contains many elements (monsters, magitech etc)



Adds:
- reworked rendering engine to fix all transparency problems on the entity layer
- shield jauge that absorb damages
- lua added for grenades/throwable items
- 8 new grenades
- old grenades explode on contact with the enemy
- graphs for debug/performances analysis (F3 > graphs > enable graphs)
- debug option to see bounding/render boxes and paths (pathfinding)
- new magitech gates: pixel line, full adder, modulo, div and a new memory block type
- 6 new soul containers
- ability to change the color of a soul container by coloring the backwall at the top left
- reworked magitech crafts (uses less resources)

Patch! Dungeons bugs fixes + New cursor + building mode features

Hello!

Little patch including a new cursor (can be disabled in graphics options), new building mode features and lot of fixes related specifically to the dungeon (which really contained quite a lot of bugs)


Changelog:
- Custom game cursor (can be disabled in graphics options)
- New building mode features in the builder toolbar
- round brush
- add/remove water
- remove slopes
- Building mode interface to edit events attributes (still WIP)
Use the key 'Y' with the cursor on an event. You can display
events with the command '/show events'
- Disabled plants growth on building mode
- Hide the builder hotbar when typing on the chatbox
- Converted some backgrounds rendering code to the new renderer.
It will be used to add/mod backgrounds with lua and config files

Hello!

Little patch including lot of fixes and few minors additions like the smart item selector!





Adds:
- Possibility to seal a monster in a higher level seal than required
- Smart item selector for the new UIs (transfo, pet houses, incubator, etc ...)
- The pickup list is updated when you get an item from any UI and not only when you take a dropped item
- Added magic gems in inventory when you create a building mode character

Changes:
- Soul transistor consume one soul each time souls pass through

Fixes:
- Cogs are totally broken
- Crash if try to delete a character (special mode) if associated world not exists
- Client: desync of monsters if the server and the client are in a dungeon, and the client return to the main world

[Windows/Linux] Command line interface + bug fixes

Hello, quick patch to fixes somes bugs and add the possibility to use command line interface to host and join a hosted game directly without having to go through the game interface !

Only available for Windows and linux, this update will come for Mac later.

- Now it's possible to use the command line interface to host a game directly. Ex:
./PlanetCentauri --host -p 7777 --user 0 --world 1
(for powershell : replace / by \\ )
Note: it will not start an headless server, but this is planned.

We move on to the second stage of an overall improvement of the multiplayer experience! The game will now require much less network resources than before and will allow those who are far away from each other and those with a natural "not-that-low" ping to play in better conditions.

Lua also continues its step-by-step invasion, the monsters that have just been, for the most part, remade in LUA allow motivated modders to modify the behavior/actions/AI of the monsters and dynamically without restarting the game! (F11 key).

without any access to the engine's code. Also allows us to modify/upgrade/fix monsters
without the need to recompile the game on each platform. Can also be used to hot reload (F11)

- New networking algorithm (delta compression) for monsters, used atm only
on lua monsters to replace the old networking method that was heavy and glitched

Patch! Hunting multiplayer bugs + few additions

Hello!
We know that we have a multiplayer that is causing a lot of problems for those who have the slightest micro instability of connection (not to mention the bugs) and we are currently working on optimizing the sending of data that weighed too much. It is not finished yet but Oni already solved a lot of problems related to the multiplayer and still working on it.

Beside that, the transformation of the monsters from c++ to lua is going very well for the moment. Once we have modified all the monsters already in the game, we will be able to add new biomes and monsters much more simply and we have LOTS of monsters already animated that are just waiting to be integrated.

I know that the news is not very exciting at the moment but we will soon come back on the major update of the village and the trades to finish this as soon as possible.

- generated eggs sex is indeterminate if you don't save and reload the game
- the chatbox area prevents the use of actions, even if the chatbox is disabled
- pickup and builder tools are used if chatbox is open when you type the associated keys

Hello! A new feature for builders and 2 FX/UI upgrade related to the drop!

Lua script for monsters

Hello!

We began to integrate the LUA on the game by associating it with the creation of the monster. This will give us much greater creative flexibility and, above all, greatly simplify the creative process (A lot of new monsters are planned for the game but integrating them with the old system was really problematic) .

- Cache is automatically cleaned after each update, it should fix weird artifacts in some cases

New patch! Custom painting / Autotile / better tile rendering / Ring selection

Hello!

Do you have the soul of an architect? Have you seen all the Bob Ross videos? Great news, the patch is dedicaded to building and custom painting!


[h3]Changelog[/h3]
- Big optimizations on the launch time of the game with caching: can be disabled on the Cache options (Game options)
=> You need to start the game at least one time to create the cache
- Added a loading bar when you launch the game
- Magic brush and paint that allows you to color blocks
- Block/Decoration/Color picker option (F)
- A ring selection interface that allows you to access quickly items
=> decorations of the same family (works also for logic gates)
=> swords ordered by power
=> ability to transform a block in another block of the same family, so you can free many space of your inventory
=> colors for the magic brush
- Better tiles rendering (fixed some artefacts, added the possibility to remove outline between specific blocks)
- HD tiles are now supported by the engine (so we can create tiles with large textures)
- Autotile is now supported by the engine for special blocks like pipes or "separators", and the ability to use a separated block outline to save some VRAM (500% vram space saved when used, useful for blocks with many frames)
- Display directly first item in a chest with the Alt key (toggle)
- Two state run: no need to maintain shift to run
- Recalibrated elemental skills (souls price, SP cost, etc)
- Option to display framerate
- Create a .bkp of the userdata.bin save when you save (don't overwrite the previous save)
- Restaure .bkp of corrupted dynamic chunks

New patch! Logical gates! Neon lights, teleporter and much more!

Hello!

I hope you like to get your brain working! But don't worry, this feature is not essential to progress in the game.

ps : A knowledge of logic gates is required to fully utilize the capabilities of this feature!

  • Ancient technology based on the soul energy: access to craft table and new "tutorial rooms" requires a new world (at least to get the craft table, you can return to your world after that). You can find every time a very basic tutorial + the craft table near the sand dungeon entrance.

  • 37 different magitech objects with :
    - The ability to store/backup souls so you can die without regrets
    - Teleporters, up to 255 destinations
    - Souls farming with soul harvester and soul crystalizer
    - Lights and displays
    - Inputs, buttons, detectors, and outputs
    - Basic logic gates and "high level" logic gates (like memories) for binary logic
    - Special components for "analog" logic

  • You can recycle elemental swords with the fundry

  • Some bugfix (UI problems etc)

      that will be used later
    • UI is now compatible with multiple skins, you can create your own and add
      it in assets/ui_skin/ using the base "skin_default" (don't forget to change

    New patch! The dynamical new combat system, new skills and more!

    [h3]What the hell took you guys so long?!!!! [/h3]
    This is complex but to resume. To made what we did possible, we had to redo part of the engine and deal with the bugs innerents to these changes.
    More than that, we redo totally the armor system integration, for you, it's invisible, for us, it's the end of a true nightmare that kept us from adding new armors but let's start with the changelog and i will give you more details below.

    Adds
    - The new combat system with the ability to throw monsters to the ground, make combos...
    - Many new skills / combos / animations
    - New skills interface, integrated direcly into the player's menu, with a preview
    - The "ArmorMaker", a software that makes it easy to create new armors
    - "ImgUtils", a software with multiple purposes (color indexing, build atlas, etc)

    Changes
    - To cross a platform you now have to do "Down+Jump" and not only "Down"
    - New physics with a new system of projection
    - New AI for repty/eagle/devourer
    - Ice eagle and devourer are now controlable
    - Modified the damages of all swords
    - You can swim in water and lava
    - New sfx/gfx for the player (dashs, double jump, skills...)
    - New audio engine that allows to merge nearby sounds to limit audio bugs
    - Better error report with stack traces and crash logs (you can find the last crashes in crash_log.txt)

    Bug fix
    - Fixed the "ghost" parameter exploit in magic creation
    - Holding a scepter/gun prevented the use of the skills
    - Fixed the Quick Move option (maintain shift + left click) for chest/inventory
    - Fixed random crashes related to the minimap

    [h3]New combat system ?![/h3]
    We wanted to make the combat system more dynamic and at the same time make the sword more interesting to use. To do that, we made two big changes:

    1 - New skills
    2 - New GUI for the skills
    3 - the possibility for each monster of the game to fall/get up (except one in the last biome and you will understand why by yourself and, of course, except the bosses too)

    Gifs is always better than words so here some examples :












    For this patch, you will have access to the main branch (energy) of the skill wich will have 4 levels. The level is related mainly to your capacity to throwing/dropping the monster you fight (Each monster have an hidden stat wich is his "weight family")

    The colored square you see on the New skill GUI is related to the elemental variation of the skill, it's NOT YET implemented on the game but it will on the next patch wich will be released as soon as possible (2 weeks probably)


    To give you an idea of the amount of work we did on animation, here somes examples of "fall/get up" :





    [h3]And what about the new armor system? It mean that we will have new armors later?[/h3]
    Yes! The old system was summary to create manually every tiny change of any part of armor for any frame of animation and it was a true nightmare to be honest. Here an example of the atlas of 1 armor to give you an idea of the amount of work :

    And to rotate them with the new armor system to have everything we need.

    New patch! New UI for the inventory/Chest - Little rework of the shadow armor

    ps : if you can't create a character, relaunch steam you should have a quick patch to download who will fix your problem.

    Hello!

    I know, you expect new content or big improvement, it's normal but we have to fix the bugs and developing internal tools for engines (wich will allow us to prepare future major content) first. It takes a little time and is unfortunately invisible to you.

    But get ready for the next patch, it will make a major change to the game that will make the gameplay much more dynamic and interesting!

    Adds:


    • Inventory and chests use the new user interface engine
    • Take all, sort, stack, and "put the same items" options added to chests
    • Save is now async, so it should no longer freeze the game
    • Automatic world backup system
    • You can stop fire with the sword
    • After an error screen, you can return to titlescreen with Esc


    Fix:

    • Shadow armor reworked
    • Small windmills can crash the game
    • Random crash when loading a world should be fixed
    • Random crash when you quit the game should be fixed
    • Sometimes, the jungle background appears when you load a world

    Shadow magic - New scepters - SFX - forest rework fixes!



    Hello! it's time to eat so I will not waste time with useless words, have fun!

    Adds

  • 9 new scepters (shadow magic)
  • New magic on the customizable magic (shadow orb magic,
    with the 'ghost' option and 'follow target' motion)

  • Fire propagation: wooden blocks can catch fire if you use fireballs on them. You can use ice magic (or rain) to put out the fire.

  • Fully customizable with json configuration files
  • Manual patterns can be used to generate precise biomes structures, with
    precise water areas, cavern entrances...

  • Replaced world generation with the new procedural engine,

  • Engine: all "in code" biomes parameters are now in configuration files,
    which makes it possible to create new biomes using mods
  • Engine: inherited biomes, to simplify the surface generation with custom zones

  • Fire propagation will be used later for traps and new mechanics.
  • All biomes are not yet reworked, only the plains are using the new
    pattern engine. Next patchs will rework other surface biomes, and maybe even hell.
  • The new procedural engine is not fully completed, some parameters don't exists yet like the ability to change dirt and rock types for caves, or the ability to generate unique objects (like the phenix sword).

    Hello!

    Yes, we know, where is the god damn patch?!

    The next patch will content 3 features :

    Liquid & New procedural generation of the surface


    Fire propagation


    As you can still see on the game, the world on the surface can pretty flat and boring and was a problem for the generation of water surfaces on the surface So we have to redo the procedural generation system by making sure that the engine accepts also chunk made manually.

    The good news is that after the patch (we will do a tutorial for that) the new systeme will allow anyone to made their own chunk creation!



    Sorry that it take so much time but we have obviously to fix every bugs we found related to theses news feature before we can release the patch.

    If all goes well, we should release the patch next week!

    New patch! Engine Optimizations - New ruins

    Hello!

    We focused mainly on the optimizations for this patch with the hope that it will help those who have a low-end laptop to properly run the game.

    Changelog

  • New optimized tiles rendering engine, should greatly increase performance.
  • Can be disabled with the "Bake tiles" option.
  • New surface ruins (only on new worlds)
  • Internal engine reworks and some optimizations
  • New special cogs from ruins: Rusty cogs. If you destroy a rusty cog, you will only get unusable rusty parts, so be careful.

    Fix
  • Video memory leak of 5mo vram every time you save in the graphics settings.
  • Random crashes on alien outposts.

  • A new craft station: "Engineering Workbench" to access the new crafts
  • Cogs: allows you to carry mechanical energy from one point to another.
    You can connect cogs with belts, you can use cogs of different sizes,
    so you can controle the gear reduction.

  • Handcrank: generate energy by the force of your arms.
  • Chicken wheel: generator of mechanical energy, allow you to produce

    Tiny patch - New journal event that requires your approval!

    Hello! This patch don't add anything really interessing for you sadly, but it will add something important to us. A new event journal who memorize your actions on the game, for what purpose ? To understand what you're doing/what happen beofre a bug/crash happen.

    In resume, it will greatly help us to identify patterns between players who have the same specific problem and find new cunning bugs .

    When you launch the game and click on singleplayer / multiplayer, a message will ask you if you accept that your game data is uploaded to our site, you will have the choice to accept or refuse.

  • Event journal that memorize every main action of the player

    Patch kill theses bugs (and a new shiny spawner algorithm!)

    Hello! Little patch who will add the new spawner system and solve some of multiplayers problems.

    You will probably not see immediatly the advantages/evolution of the new spawner but this will allow us to add events, specific monsters (named), World boss etc ...

  • Spawn is more dynamic
  • Spawn is better distributed, monsters are not anymore stacked on the borders

    monsters of each biome can spawn
  • Works well in multiplayer
  • Spawn engine is more customizable, and will allow us to create persistant
    world bosses, or persistant monsters (that remains after a save and quit).

    New patch - A house for your pets monster eggs!

    Hello!

    Capture and level up your monster could be difficult, especially the first levels, that's why we added the possibility of building a house for them that will allow them to earn XP and eventually to procreate!

    Capture a male and female monster from the same species and put them in the house to get, after a few times, an egg that you can make hatch and hope to have a child with the best affixes of his 2 parents!

    Keep in mind that we plan to do a lot more later (mini games for your pets, challenge, possibility to fight pets between players, baby monster version etc ...)

    New patch - Pet Analyzer / Bug fixes / Outline tiles

    - New item: monster analyzer, allow you to show locked effects on monsters/seals
    - You can combine two blocks in one if there is a slope
    - Slope of common blocks (dirt, rock, wood) now have an 'outline'
    - World generation: added slope on the dirt/rock transition. No more blocky effect.

    Patch v0.9.2.e quick fixes (Win-Linux)

    Hello!

    Quick fixes for this patch After the genocide of the poor villagers by the terrible chickens and wisp and their new power.

    - Chicken/Wisp have no longer magical affixes on them
    - The Cast on death magical affixes are more rare on monsters
    - Circle of fire affixes is removed on the hell hand monster.

    ps : you will discover that the UI menu in game look much better than before, we are remade all GUI step by step.

    Patch v0.9.2 - Magic scepters!

    Hello!

    The creation of the new magic system for our engine will have taken us more time than expected but we finally have everything we need!

    The new magic system is not yet available to players because they involve the new GUI that involves several features to code (preview of the spell you want to create before creating it, for example) but it allows us now to create a multitudes of magic items using spells, that's why we added 38 magic scepters in the game for this patch!

    These 38 sceptres are only a fraction of what can be done, but we did not want to add more because the other spells are relatively too powerful for the current state of the game.

    - 38 magical Scepters
    - New chest (need to create a new world!)
    - Crystals will appear in the world and will need to be broken to get the scepter inside (an icon above the crystal will tell you what kind of damage it requires)

    Hello everyone! Some importants information for this patch!

  • recreate a new world is essential for the new dungeons!
  • A new player is not essential but highly recommanded to enjoy the new dungeons
  • The first legendary armor is here but there are some things we would like to improve with it so we'll add new animations later
  • At the end of the dungeon, you will have a teleporter to go back to the beginning of a stone entry to get into the dungeon suite. WARNING! Having access tot he next dungeon does not mean that you MUST go there, skulls at the entrance of the stone entry will give you an idea of the difficulty that awaits you there.
  • One of the rewards of news dungeons is the capacity to upgrade your anvil (we changed the way we can craft the anvils)

    Good news for those who play in multiplayer!

    Oni have, after weeks of part-time investigation, find and solve the famous 138.cpp crash and the other one bug who disconnect any client on the game when a player left or was disconnected.

    To get an idea of what this implies, these 2 bugs combined 95% of all the known crashes of the game, which means that the multiplayer will be much more stable now!

    Delay!

    After several tests this weekend, we must delay the patch for two main reasons:

    1 - Many annoying little bugs to solve
    2 - The boss fight of the new dungeons is not good enough in terms of quality, we will create new patterns and add gfx.

    YOU NEED TO CREATE A NEW MAP TO FIND SEALS IN THE CHESTS!

    Hello! This is the brand new transformation system!




    • You can now turn into any monster of the game! (Aside boss and the ghost for obvious reasons)
    • New UI! (You will find that the new UI is very different from the standard ui, it's normal, we will integrate step by step a new UI much more pleasing to the eye and much more convenient!)

    • A new transformation mechanic with sacrifice and new souls! You will need now :
    •         1 - Create the transformation table
    •         2 - Capture a monster with a capture gem
    •         3 - Sacrifice the monster to gain dark souls
    • [i]         4 - Find Transformation Seal (you will find them into chest, it's temporary)
    • [i]         5 - Capture the monster you want, check what seal you need on the transformation table,               put the suitable seal and click on the seal button
    • [i]         6 - Congratulations, you can turn you into the chosen monster now by using the seal!
    • [i]         7 - You can evolve! Just put your seal (with the monster inside on the right and the monster who is on the superior level on the left (If you have a lvl 1 rarity on your seal, you need to capture a level 2 rarity on the gem)




      You will find the number of dark souls you have by open your inventory! You can only get soul darks by sacrificing monsters (for the time being)

    Have you seen the bug "create.cpp:138" in multiplayer?

    There is a bug in multiplayer that is the cause of +/- 98% of the multiplayer crashes currently (just in 24h, it appeared 149 times among those who played yesterday) but we fail to provoke it once on your own computer and don't have a clue of what is this bug, why it's happen and when.

    Then choose the right branch.
    At this point the game is now Planet Centauri [unstable].

    Patch V0.8.4b - Quick fix for for win10 players who could not start the game!

    Hello!

    In the last 24 hours, several people who bought the game under Windows 10 could not play at all and had this error :



    This was related to the emplacement of the save. So we changed the location of the saves for the %appdata% which will be less of a problem for overzealous antivirus and owners of windows 10 with special accounts.

    For the players who just bought the game after this patch, you will find your save (if needed) here :

    C:Users[YOUR PROFIL]AppDataRoamingPlanetCentauri

    You can also type on the folder bar %AppData% wich is a shorcut to go on the Appdata folder




    For /!ONLY/! those who have the problem mentioned above and have already installed the game, remove the .ini file and launch the game it will change the .ini for the new one and change the location of the save.

    Patch v0.8a - Quick fix about the shotgun and the leaf feary!

    Hello!


    • Some have found out, with pain, that the leaf feary had become a berserker and O.S everyone. This problem is solved.

    • We also solved the problem of the shotgun which only hitted the monster once (The shotgun is a powerful weapon that can hit the monster multiple times in one shot).

    • Last change, for anyone who will create a new map, only 3 orbs (4 before) will be needed to get to the new biome (you will not have to kill anymore all the bosses of the game). We did this because we are aware that some bosses may be annoying to kill (such as the t-rex).

    IMPORTANT!
    It helps a lot when you detail the bugs you encounter on the forum! Do not hesitate to post all the problems you encounter, thank you!

    Patch v0.8 - New major biome + Technology (part 1)



    The new Biome works when you play alone but is not yet functional for the multiplayer, we will release a patch next week (as soon as possible) to allow to play in the new biome in multiplayer!


    Patch 0.8


    • New major biome [10 news monsters, news dungeons, news weapons]
      /! You have to create a new map and kill all boss on the game To access the new area (the portal will be next to where is the most angry chick you've ever seen)


    • New lighting render engine allowing better light rendering for technological objects (if you have performance issues with old computers, go to graphic option and desactivate "local lights")


    • New event engine used in the new biome (allows players to access a more complete customization objects from the building mode! A tutorial will come later about that)



    WHY TECHNOLOGY "(PART 1)"?
    The patch, as you have seen, took a lot longer than it should have. Normally, we patch about every 2-3 weeks +/- But this patch involved and still involves a lot of new features that have to be implemented in our engine (that we created by ourselves for planet centauri). Each new feature has included a lot of bugs, and we have not solved everything yet so we will work now to add missing features and fix any problems we / you may encounter in the new biome.

    List of what is missing:

    • The amazing mech!
    • Perks & advanced custom for the new weapons
    • Grenades
    • The most epic drill machine you've ever seen
    • modify the shots of the new monsters (the current GFX is not the good one)
    • Add the visual effects of teleportation & the rocket launcher
    • Technological tubes/jails are currently empty, dangerous modified monsters that can be released will be added thereafter.
    • When you arrive in the new biome, lights come on but there is still no sound associated yet.

    ps : The method to tame the cow is the same as for the chicken. The only difference is that you must craft a "Cow manger" that you will find in the same place as the "Chicken manger" (Craft table)

    For those who expected to have a patch with more content, remember that we are working on a big patch involving some of the technology as well as a new major biome far more important than other biomes so you will have to be patient.

    This week we started to code firearms and ammunition. Here's how it works:

    Firearms / energy weapons will have customizable statistics and will have several different attributes:

    - Range of fire
    - Precision
    - Cadence
    - Charger size
    - Recharge time
    - Special / magical abilities
    - etc..

    Each weapon will have its own ammunition that will have to be obtained / manufactured, so the ammunition will not be unlimited. Most weapons will, if possible, have a reload time after the charger / battery is empty.

    Patch v0.7.2 - Translations improved!

    Thanks to several players from the community, we were able to translate a large part of the game that had not been translated (Such as menu, options etc ...)

    We did not have time to add translation improvements regarding Italian and Polish but we will do it as soon as possible!

    Bugs

    If there is one thing that nobody likes, the devs or the players, it's the bugs.

    In the event of a crash, we had set up an error system which provides a short summary of information about the nature of the bug, as well as a
    box for players to fill in additional information. This additional information is very important to us as it futher helps us understand the problem and narrow down to the proper solution.


    The problem is that very few players actually fill this box or come to the forum to explain their problem.

    If we do not have the full information and if the person does not describe the problem on the forum, we can't fully understand or help solve the problem to the best of our abilities.

    If you have a bug or a crash, please help elaborate on the forums:

    - When the bug appears?
    - Is it reccurent?
    - Your computer configuration (OS, Processor etc.)

    And if possible, that you upload the save file of your character and World (you will find the 2 in the folder My documents / Planet Centauri)

    The more information we have about the bugs you encounter, the more we will be able to understand them and thus resolve them.

    Patch v0.7 - Mini challenges Bigger world

    - Mini challenges are spread around the world!
    - World is now 60% larger

    Patch v0.6.12 - New Monster / Pet leveling!

    Monsters now have a level, currently capped at 70 for pets (a tier system will allow to go much further).
    - Savage monsters have now a half-random level variation, depending on their rarity.
    - Monsters' effects are sorted between 1 and the monster's rarity level. It'll always have a least one effect level equal to it's rarity.
    - Monsters have now random natural stats bonuses: the more rare it is, the higher the chance to have max bonuses.
    - Every captured monster go back to level 5 and gets stat bonuses : a captured monster will then always be stronger than a savage one at the same level.
    - Every 5 levels, a captured monster gains an effect and every effect's max level go up by 1 every 10 levels.
    - Safechecks have been added to detect errors and potential crashs with more efficiency.

    Fixed:
    -Some saves of old versions can crash at loading
    -Random crash on some animated light sources (ex: pumpkin pet)
    -Random crash related on monster spawner
    -Multiplayer: Server or client crashes randomly when a player connects

    - Addition of the laser system in the engine of the game which allowed to add:

    Patch v0.6.9 - Bugs hate it!

    Patch 0.6.9
    - Major updates in the game engine - new save format, chunking and dimensions
    - In solo, the "Escape" key now allows you to pause the game
    - Russian translation updated (thanks to Var)
    - Multiplayer is more stable (random crashs should be fixed, post in the forum if you have any crash)

    Fix
    - Multiplayer: if a monster despawn outside the view you can hear it's cry
    - Multiplayer: the special craft tables (like the crusher) are not sync
    - Multiplayer: the regen table is not sync
    - Multiplayer: no healt bar on other players
    - Multiplayer: if the server character die, it can crash the game
    - Multiplayer: client deconnection is not transmited to other clients
    - Multiplayer: if the join connection failed you can't return to titlescreen
    - Multiplayer: ip and server are not saved (you need to re-enter them each time)
    - Multiplayer: Players connected to a server can be disconnected if the player who host the server die

    - Dragon crash should be fixed (post in the forum if you have any crash)

    The patch is finally here!

    We're aware many of you are awaiting the early access release on Steam. It was scheduled for April 26, along with the multiplayer.

    Unfortunately, some network issues are forcing us to pushing back the release to May. Once the multiplayer is operational, we'll release the game within few days and you'll be, of course, informed.

    Please keep in mind that there's no point to wish to see a project releasing too early if it's unstable and riddled with bugs ruining the game experience. We alaways took priority on fixing bugs reported by players and our wish is to deliver a high-quality experience, even if we're only on Early Access.

    We're sorry for this further delay, we're working 7 days a week and we're doing our best to release the game as soon as possible.
