Good news, we are ready to start the public round of testing of the next patch of Project Hospital!
We had a busy summer preparing the Early Access launch of Silence of the Siren at the end of September - and if you like turn-based games or more specifically the HoMM series, this is something you might enjoy too!

But, back to Hospital! :) We keep fixing bugs that still get reported from time to time and as usually, we have put the new patch on a beta branch first. So, if you'd like to try this version early and help us with the last round of testing (especially to check different kinds of hardware and setups like the Steam Deck), you can switch to beta-patch-42-test in Properties in your Steam library.

Project Hospital 1.2.23446 - Patch 42 - Fixes and changes
- Fixed patients with symptoms that require life support not automatically transferred from neurology to the ICU
- Fixed parts of the X-Ray machine refunded twice when deleting it
- Fixed possible entity ID conflicts sometimes causing random errors after a few hundreds of ingame days, added checks for wrong entities in entity pointers
- Fixed the game starting up with no textures if it was installed to a folder with certain special characters in the path
- Fixed prefab rooms connecting to random similar rooms when playing with rotated camera

- Fixed switching employees to radiology was resetting supervisor of all employees at the department

It looks like it's time to slowly wrap up 2023 and like every year, let us take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Holiday and a Happy New Year! Also, we would like to thank everybody who bought Project Hospital during the last 12 months or participated in the currently running beta test of Silence of the Siren, our upcoming turn based strategy game. Welcome to the community!
For us, the year was mostly consumed by Silence of the Siren, as we're getting closer and closer to its planned release in Early Access. We visited several conferences across Europe including Gamescom and EGX and had a great time showing the game to a lot of you.
With Project Hospital, we were mostly helping players with the occasional technical issue and some compatibility problems on the Steam Deck. Also thanks for a few very nice messages with feedback and ideas we received during the year!
The team will now be mostly off until January 2nd, which means we might not be available on our social channels. If you encounter any issues, dont hesitate to ask our amazing community here on the Steam forum, otherwise we should be able to get back to you at the beginning of January.

With the year 2022 almost at the end, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Holiday and a Happy New Year. We know it was a difficult year for many of you and new challenges didnt miss our studio as well. But in the end we are excited about what awaits us in 2023.
Even though active development of Project Hospital has ended and no more DLC is planned, we continue to support the game. We added Steam Deck support so you can play the game everywhere. With new patches we tried to improve the game with recent patch 40 being the last one of this year. Our biggest event though was the announcement of Silence of the Siren, a sci-fi turn-based strategy game. For us it is an opportunity to try something new and we hope many of you will join Early Access which we plan to release next year.
The team will now need to recharge a little bit and will be taking a holiday until January 2nd, which means we might not be available on our social channels. If you encounter any issues, dont hesitate to ask our amazing community on the Steam forum, if they cant help, we should be able to get back to you at the beginning of January.

Hi everybody, after a few weeks both internal and open beta branch testing patch 39 is officially released. Thanks to everybody who tried it early! Amongst the usual batch of fixes and improvements, patch 39 brings official support for the Steam Deck. It is also worth mentioning some welcome fixes of community translations, and a couple of new shortcuts.

Hi everybody, As we announced a couple of days ago, we're mostly ready to release the next update of Project Hospital which brings official support for the Steam Deck and the usual delivery of fixes and improvements including some welcome fixes of community translations. As this has really helped with the last few releases, we're once again making the version available early on a beta branch so the community and especially modders can try it out and check that everything works on their side. Hi everybody, we have some quite exciting news: after a bit of testing we're pleasantly surprised by how well Project Hospital works on the Steam Deck! As you may know, we never planned a console version because of both controls and performance, but the touchpad on the Deck really makes this possible.
We're finishing a version with controls mapped to the Deck's input, properly using the virtual keyboard and including some small tweaks, we plan to make it available for you with the next patch later this week and hopefully we'll get the game verified by Valve soon.
In the meantime we'd love to hear your opinions: Do any of you plan to get the Steam Deck or have already preordered it? What are your experiences playing games with a controller using a virtual cursor?
Hi everybody, Once again, the holidays are approaching and we're finding ourselves looking back at the months that have just flown by. 2021 has been another challenging year for everybody, including us at Oxymoron Games, but at the same time a great year for Project Hospital, with so many players joining the community, while the game received a few more patches and more content arrived to the Steam Workshop. The team will now be taking a couple of weeks off, trying to find a bit of peace and quiet and spending time with our loved ones, so if you reach out on the different channels, we'll be mostly able to get back to you on January 3rd. We are mostly done with testing the next patch for Project Hospital, so we're on a good track to release it before the holidays. Hi everybody, we're happy to announce another addition to the list of community translations: Thai language is now available in Project Hospital!
We're very happy to see all the Thai players that joined the community recently and while it wasn't straightforward to get the translation working in game as the systems weren't built in a way that supports switching fonts, we now have a special Windows version of the game available for you to try. To switch to it:
If you go to Properties -> BETAS, select "thai-laguage-support". The Thai language should then be available in options in game.
Once again big thanks to the translators for their effort and especially for figuring out a way to get the fonts working.
Hi everybody, the next patch for Project Hospital is now officially live! We hope you'll enjoy the quality of life improvements, bugfixes and a couple of improved translations from wonderful community members. :) Thanks to everybody who tried the new version on a beta branch, we're glad no issues popped up there! There's also one more fix that's worth mentioning but isn't part of the patch itself: an issue with cloud saves not updating correctly on certain machines should be now resolved. It turns out the problem wasn't in game code but in our configuration of cloud saves on Steam side.

Hi everybody,
With only a couple of days left until holidays, let us once again take the opportunity to have a quick look at the year behind us. It has definitely been a 'proper 2020' for us as well, but apart from the time spent in lockdown and sometimes struggling with work from home, there have been some highlights too, including two development babies :).
We managed to keep working on the game and your continuous support allowed us to add a lot of new content and features in updates and the three DLCs released this year, so this is also a humble thank you to everybody who bought any of the expansions, contributed to mods or translations, supported other players or helped us catch remaining issues in the game.
The team will be now taking a couple of weeks off after a very demanding season, so we'll be only able to reply on the different channels occasionally and we'll be mostly able to get back to you on January 4th.

Traumatology Department is ready to save lives of the most severely injured patients! This expansion of Project Hospital brings 35 new diagnoses, helicopters, new equipment and events.
Most critical cases will now arrive in a helicopter, new equipment includes wheelchairs for transport of patients with lighter wounds, special equipment and new decorations.
The DLC also introduces new graphics and animations for injured patients, including visible wounds, you'll see patients leaving with bandages or walking with crutches. Note: wounds can be hidden in options using the 'Show blood' checkbox.
New challenging events focused on the department let you deal with the consequences of different disasters, accidents or crime.

Hi everybody, a new patch is out with mostly smaller improvements and fixes, but there's one change we should give you more details about - a system for handling incompatible mods we introduce with this version. We've noticed that there are a few mods that are still widely installed, but haven't been updated in a very long time and are causing problems, typically untreatable patients at Internal Medicine. We can now mark these as incompatible not only on the workshop, but also directly in game, so they won't get loaded and you'll see a warning in main menu. This shouldn't be causing any problems with loading saved games, also there should be alternatives for most of the affected mods already available on the workshop. If you're an author of one of the mods, please get in touch, we'll be happy to give you all the info about what needs to be updated, so we can re-enable the mod. Moreover, the list is accessible in the Twakables.xml file, so if you really love one of these mods and don't mind the side effects, it's possible to re-activate it there (TWEAKABLE_INCOMPATIBLE_WORKSHOP_MODS). Hi everybody, a new patch is out with fixes for most of the recently reported issues and a few new features and tweaks. Surprisingly, it looks like there have been no new camera rotation issues discovered this time. :)

Administrative department brings pharmacy, cafeteria, staff training and advanced janitor management. If you build a visitors lounge at any department, friends and family will start visiting your patients, even bringing them presents bought in a gift shop. In the meantime, different events happening in the area bring more variety to the daily routine.

Yes, Project Hospital now has UNDO in building mode! Seriously though, this was one of the most complicated features to implement, so we'll appreciate if you let us know if it breaks in any specific circumstances. The DLC contains two new departments and brings more life to the hospitals with visitors coming to see your patients and a lot more activities for your staff. Let us name a few new features: pharmacy, staff training, cafeteria, janitor management, visitor's lounge and gift shop for your lobbies. On the other end of the spectrum, there's Pathology as an individual department where you can perform autopsies and find out more about what went wrong.

Hi everybody, With the holidays right behind the corner, let us take this opportunity to have a quick look back at 2019 - what a year for Oxymoron Games and Project Hospital! After the successful release in October 2018 which mostly ensured our survival as an indie studio, we continued working full time on numerous patches and content updates addressing both our own ideas and suggestions from you, leading to the free Doctor Mode DLC released in November. We're very happy to see our efforts have paid off, judging by discussions on the forums or by Steam reviews. The game is now pretty close to our original vision and we still have some more ideas in the bag for early 2020. So, we'd like to thank you all for the continuous support, wish everybody great holidays and all the best in the New Year! The team will be heading to a long awaited vacation, so we'll be only able to reply on the different channels occasionally. Patch 4 - Project Hospital 1.0.14331 - Feature: much improved highlighting of rooms with problems - Feature: added warnings about department problems to main panel - Fixed two cases of broken stretchers causing patients to get stuck waiting in bed - Fixed radiologists sometimes ignoring patients for the rest of the day after taking a break - Fixed an error causing patients to get stuck waiting for a fired doctor - Fixed required room sizes of diagnostic units - Fixed number of technologists not shown on the hospitalization panel in management mode - Fixed collapse system not safe against deleting defibrillators - Fixed a few symptom/diagnosis issues - Fixed the (maybe not bug, but still annoying) problem with patients with planned urine sampling stuck at the doctor's waiting for a free toilet on the same floor :) - Small fixes in texts - Updated translations for the included languages (more are on the way, like Italian, Russian or Korean, big thanks to our hard working volunteer translators!)
