With this patch, we rolled back the updated spot assets on the playing field (but kept the updated location assets). While some players liked the updated visuals, and some didn't, there are two main reasons for this roll-back: * before we ship something as different visually, as the new Police spot visuals, we want to implement a "legacy mode ON/OFF" setting for those who prefer the classic look. * while we updated the spot assets based on the static experience, dynamically during player turn the more contrasting spots clashed with the selection highlights, making the understanding more difficult, rather than easier. Thanks for feedback, and we continue to work on other things, as well as a new take on this.

Dear community:
This time, the Lunar New Year tournament is more luxurious and lasts a longer time, to share the joy of the most recent major update with our players. As in the TOURNAMENT DOUBLE 11, T-shirts and enamel pins as a part of the prize pool. Don't miss your chance to win!
The tournament starts on January 27, with the following rules:
Hi friends.
Recently, we got lucky with great sales in :china: China and, after celebrating with tea from Yunnan, we decided to say "thank you" by releasing this update (we also have a new game to show to you! it has a battle system like a digital board game, with multiple calculations each round, made seamlessly read on for more details!).
Now, speaking of sales of Gremlins, Inc.:
:magic_sparkles: top 5 countries by copies sold, Q4 2024: China, Russia, USA, Japan, Ukraine
steampunk top 5 countries by revenue, Q4 2024: China, USA, Russia, Japan, Ukraine
It is only fitting, that this update is brought to you by a mixed dev team that's based in Japan (community & design), Russia (engineer), Ukraine (artist) and Lithuania (producer). Not to forget our translators who are based in Netherlands, Korea, China, Italy, Brazil, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and France.
As you can see... gremlins are everywhere !! malice
(as one gremlin famously wrote, "[strike]Workers[/strike] Gremlins of the world, unite!")
Anyways, let's celebrate this update together, and thanks one more time to the Chinese players (and our partners at HeyBox) for giving us the positive motivation to come through with this update.
Welcome to the final tournament of the year, which starts in 2024 and ends in 2025! 27/12/2024 (12:00 GMT) 04/01/2025 (12:00 GMT)
Dear community:
Today, we have 2 news to share:
Firstly, were happy to report that we have started a collaboration withHeyBox, the largest PC and console games community in China. This partnership allows many more China-based players to find the help and the advice they need about Gremlins, Inc. directly on the HeyBox platform, in their own language.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is all due to you, the players, who continue to play the game, and invite their friends to join the community. Gremlins, Inc. has been around for a very long time next year, we'll celebrate a decade since the game released in Early Access! and still, the game continues to be enjoyed by many players who love intellectually challenging board games.
Secondly, to celebrate this cooperation, we will be holding a collaborative Charlie Oscar x HeyBoxTournament Double 11", with a set of luxurious, rare items in the prize fund: enamel pins, and t-shirts.
The tournament starts on November 8, with the following rules:
Dear, Gremlins. Thank you all for your gracious offer to be our test subjects in this tournament. This experiment is very simple. The idea is to prepare sessions in a format that swaps the number of players between the EU and Asia servers. In other words, the format is 2 players for EU server and 4 players for Asia server. This is literally an experiment, so it may not work very well...... But, well, if it fails, only for 96 hours, so please be patient. 30/08/2024 (12:00 GMT) 03/09/2024 (12:00 GMT) 96 hours
Dear community: We appreciate the great response to recent STEAM Summer Sale. With that, access to the Asian server exceeded our expectations, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused players. In order to cope with the increased access, we will upgrade the Asian server. Due to this, access to the Asia server will be unavailable for a few hours starting Friday, July, 19, 10:30 GMT (the schedule says). Until the situation improves, we ask for the cooperation and understanding of our players, especially those in China, Korea, and Japan, who may be inconvenienced. [Team CO]
Dear, Gremlins. I know you are all busy working at the Plant, have A Day at the Office, or are doing something you don't want others to find out about. For all of you, yes, we have prepared the tournament as usual. Everyone, please play (or work?) this tournament to the best of your ability.
Dear, Gremlins. Celebrating the 8th anniversary of the release of Gremlins, Inc. We would like to thank all of our players for enjoying this game for such a long time.
Dear friends, A Happy Lunar New Year!
Welcome to the final tournament of the year, which starts in 2023 and ends in 2024! 29/12/2023 (12:00 GMT) 04/01/2024 (12:00 GMT)
Hello peoples, It's been a long time since we shared a development update in this community, and today being a properly foggy and moody morning, I thought I'd just write a short note; send a signal into space, so to speak (talking about signals, I've been watching Apollo 11 this weekend; in all the scenes, someone is smoking in the room this is how you truly know it's the footage form the '60s...). Anyways, what would I like to know, ifI were a player of Gremlins, Inc.? [olist]
Dear, Gremlins. It is with great pleasure that we celebrate Gremlins, Inc.'s 7th anniversary with the support of our dedicated players. All of your players' feedback and support has always been a beacon of hope to light our way forward.
Dear friends, A little late, but A Happy Lunar New Year! This time the tournament is a little different from the usual. Each player has a limited number of lives. in this tournament. The number of lives you have is different on each server. With every loss, you lose 1 such life. You will get tournament points as long as you have at least 1 life. After losing all the lives, you can continue to play (to kick out competing players), but you will not get any more tournament points for your own victories. Please, everyone, have fun.
Welcome to the final tournament of the year, which starts in 2022 and ends in 2023! 29/12/2022 (12:00 GMT) 04/01/2023 (12:00 GMT)
Welcome to the Halloween Tournament! The tournament runs from October 28 12:00 GMT throughNovember 01 12:00 GMT. While gremlins are immortal, and not really scared of any ghosts, they are still afraid of some things: debt collectors, and automatons that are out of control. For this tournament, we suggest the following rules:
Hey guys,
How are you all doing?
This year is not the easiest for a lot of people. In this community, we have players from over a hundred countries, and Im sure that for each region, the problems are different.
One thing is clear, though: whether its the climate crisis, the pandemics, the war, the energy crisis, or some other issue 2022 is a challenging year for nearly everyone.
We wish our community to focus on what each of us, personally, can do to improve the lives of others while not losing our minds on the matters which remain beyond our control.
And with the same approach, today we release a small update for Gremlins, Inc.: nothing life-changing, just something to make your experience a bit better.
Feel free to start the game and check it out!
Whatever happened in 2022, our servers are still up and running, and Gremlins, Inc. is waiting for you.
Dear, Gremlins. It has been a year since Qfasa passed away due to COVID-19. This infection that took his life still shows no signs of abating. Some of you and your family and friends may have been infected with COVID-19 and suffered terribly. It is so fun and wonderful to get out and share a great time with your precious friends. On the other hand, along with that, it is also very important to stay at home to avoid the risk of exposing yourself and your loved ones to dangerous infections. We have a little bonus this month for those of you who stay home and play Gremlins, Inc. in memory of Qfasa.
Dear friends,
In February we decided to bring back the monthly updates of Gremlins, Inc. as there's always things we work on, and changes in balance that we'd like to try, and shipping regular updates is very helpful to deploy all of these things at once.
Since we in parallel develop spellcasting Spire of Sorcery, the idea was to ship Spire of Sorcery's updates at the end of each month, and the updates for steampunk Gremlins, Inc. in the middle of each month. Well, so much for the domino effect: just last week we shipped such a massive update for Spire of Sorcery (our biggest yet, adding hours of gameplay) that we only now were able to re-group and update Gremlins, Inc.
This doesn't mean that we will abandon the "monthly update" ambition. We will keep trying! This is just to explain why certain things happen later than we would have wanted them to happen. weather
On a similar topic, and before we cover the new cards, here's the update for Gremlins, Inc. 2: after discussing the project with nearly 20 possible partners, we are now down to 2 whom we like the most. The journey has been quite interesting, as we are looking not just to rise the production budget but to align our long-term vision for the game, and this is the most important part of the discussion.
We will keep you posted on the decision when we make it!
And now about today's update: the main focus of this update is the introduction of two new cards.
12 days ago, Russian army invaded Ukraine and every day since then is killing its people and destroying its infrastructure. Our friends in the Ukrainian games studios are now forced to defend their homeland, while their parents and children are fleeing the war as refugees. Some of you may know that Gremlins, Inc. was born during in 2013 and 2014 while we prototyped and experimented in Kyiv, Moscow and Stockholm. The streets that we walked while discussing the game are now being bombed by Russian artillery. The game designer who invented the game's concept is sheltering in Kyiv, with the air raid sirens sounding in the city. The artist who created all of the game's card art changed his pencil for a rifle, joining the territorial defence. This is the time of grief. So much pain and destruction is being inflicted. We are a small team, and we are doing what we can, helping the vulnerable friends as much as we can... while we watch Russia killing and maiming innocent people. Sadly, these thousands of dead are just the beginning of the humanitarian catastrophe as many more will die of disease or lack of medicine and care in the coming weeks. At the same time, those in our team who are based in Russia face another war: the war of the Russian police on Russia's own population. Call the war a war, ask for peace and get beaten up, arrested and tortured, facing up to 15 years in jail. The thugs paid by the state brutalise peaceful citizens to keep them silent. While our hearts break for the victims of the war, whether bombed or arrested, we will do our best to continue developing and operating our games. This is not the only conflict that is happening in the world right now, it's just that it affects us in a very direct and personal way. With all of our hearts, we wish this war to stop. We will do our best to support our friends who suffer from this war in Ukraine, as well as our friends in Russia who protest against this war. These are difficult times. Let's please be kind and helpful to each other, as much as we can.
Hey guys, It's been a long time since we've ran a team tournament. Buckle up, and get ready to watch some of the most skilled players compete!
Dear friends, Many thanks for your feedback about the last series of changes. We are not the Governors of this town, who care about nothing but their own interests. We think of ourselves as engineers: we tweak, we try, we listen, and then we tweak some more. So your comments and suggestions are very much welcome! From this month, we're getting back to regular, monthly updates of the game. These updates will add new content as well as fix known issues, and introduce changes in the balance. Important to keep in mind: a lot of the bigger changes we move to Gremlins, Inc. 2, because with the updated architecture it will be much easier to make those already in the next version of the game.
Dear friends,
We wish you a happy Lunar New Year, and we hope that the coming year will bring you closer to attaining happiness wherever you are!
Today we have a few news items to share:
Welcome to the final tournament of the year, which starts in 2021 and ends in 2022! 28/12/2021 (12:00 GMT) 03/01/2022 (12:00 GMT)
Today Original Soundtrack of Gremlins, Inc. expands with one more music track.
This is a music track from our new game, Spire of Sorcery, titled The Broodmother. In that game it plays during the encounter with the queen of mad weavers. The music for Spire of Sorcery is created by A.Fruit the same composer who created all the music for Gremlins, Inc.
If you own Gremlins, Inc. OST, your album will be updated automatically.
Enjoy the holiday season!

Dear friends:
In October this year, Gremlins, Inc. celebrated 6 years since its release on Steam in Early Access. Nearly 500.000 players have joined the game since its launch, and over 10.000 players among them already spent more than 100 hours playing this game.
More importantly, there is a warm community that grew around the project, where players from different countries share advice and come up with ideas on new mechanics. We love the strong data, but we love the sense of community even more. Thank you for being with us!
Looking at 2022, and into the future, we have huge desire to take Gremlins, Inc. to another level. For more than a year now, we have been debating about the evolution of the game. Currently, there are a few features and content that we simply cannot add to the existing project due to the limitations of its architecture. So how do we change that, to continue the evolution of the game?
We are now developing the concept of Gremlins, Inc. 2 a sequel to the existing game that will be purpose-built to deliver the most requested features:
Gremlins who were looking forward to the tournament: thank you for your patience! The tournament runs from October 29 (12:00 GMT) to November 1 (12:00 GMT),
If you haven't seen what team tournaments look like in Gremlins, Inc., stop by 4PM EEST!
The stream will be pre-recorded.
And for those looking to the new official tournament: it will begin October 29, details to be announced later in the day.
Have a great weekend!

steampunk STATUS: the update is in pre-release testing. We expect to release it on 21/06.
sunnyemo IMPORTANT: due to significant internal changes in the code, saved games made in the earlier version of the game will not be compatible with the updated version. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Dear players:
Hopefully, the summer treats you with good weather, and you and your families are doing well. We, from our side, are happy to provide you with this brand new update that adds 2 new cards, a number of bug fixes and changes in balance.
We'll look at all the changes in just a second, but first, a quick shoutout to our other game Spire of Sorcery, which participates in the Steam Next Fest event: the demo-version is already available on Steam, and supports 7 languages.
If, for some unexplainable reason, you desire something less chaotic and brutal than Gremlins, Inc., then you may consider leading a party of runaway mages in a post-cataclysmic fantasy world of Spire of Sorcery. You can download the demo on the game's Steam page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/637050/Spire_of_Sorcery/
And now, back to Gremlins, Inc. and all the goodness of the new update!
cardscardscardscardscardscardscardscardscardscardscardscards
Dear friends,
Today we have two news to share with you:
First of all, the playable demo of Spire of Sorcery our upcoming party RPG with turn-based spellcasting and hex-based exploration is available during Steam Next Fest, from June 16 onwards.
Spire of Sorcery is a very ambitious project for our studio, and those among you who follow our studio might know that its development has been anything but easy: to make it happen, weve pushed ourselves to the very limit. Given the development progress of the last 6 months, were confident that the project will be released in Early Access in the autumn of this year!
In Spire of Sorcery, you play for a party of runaway mages who try save themselves (and maybe others, if they can) in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world where magic talent is a crime.
Just as with Gremlins, Inc., with Spire of Sorcery we build upon the games own original setting, and we dont rely on a single central mechanic. Instead, we mixes together multiple interconnected mechanics to create a unique experience from their combinations.
Spire of Sorcery has elements of gameplay that you might find in board games, even though its not a card game. Every character owns a personal adjustable deck of elements that they combine together to cast spells and deal tokens, that combine with different effects.
There is some randomness in the game the maps are procedurally generated, as well as stats and decks but we keep it rather low in comparison to that other game that you all know and love (or hate :P).
Of course, there are more things. For example, each character is a person with their own stats, perks, and goals. They can be improved, but they also can get sick or injured. They react differently to the surroundings and events. And since mages are the most efficient when they act in groups, it lies on the player's shoulder to decide how to mix different party members.
If this sounds interesting and you want to know more, or try the playable demo while its available, you can download the game here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/637050/Spire_of_Sorcery/
We would be tremendously happy to receive your feedback, comments and suggestions, as it is our main way to develop and improve our games.
Secondly, the development of our second new game currently in production, Gremlins, Inc. Card Game, is progressing nicely.
You may be familiar with the physical game thats available as Print & Play DLC for Gremlins, Inc., and now we are turning it into a digital board game as well.
Since this is an adaptation of the existing game, the development is fast and smooth. We already have a fully playable version that we test against bots (they aren't the brightest, but they know how to play) or other players (on a dedicated server or through a direct peer-to-peer connection).
The base deck of 64 cards is also fully implemented, and sessions can be played for points or rounds where both conditions can be set at the same time, in which case the session ends when at least one of them is reached.
The main reason why we don't provide any public access to the build yet (and decided to opt-out from this Steam Next Fest with the demo) is that the game looks ugly as... well, lets just say that it's very, very ugly since we havent even started work on the interface yet.
While hardcore fans probably would be able to deal with it, we do not want to traumatise anyone else. Yes, it works! But no, its not ready to reveal itself to the general public yet.
However, you can already add the game to your wishlist, if you wish
https://store.steampowered.com/app/860560/Gremlins_Inc__Card_Game/
Our current estimate is that Gremlins, Inc. Card Game will enter Early Access on Steam in the autumn of this year. In the meantime, we'll be sharing news on how development progresses, and how the game changes (mostly it will be getting prettier and the bots become smarter). You can also join the game's dedicated Discord server.
Dear friends:
Gremlins, Inc. just celebrated the 5th anniversary of its full release on Steam.
Thanks to your continued interest, comments and suggestions we are able to keep improving the game with more features and expanding it with more content. You, our loyal audience, are the primary motivation of our development team thank you so much for this amazing journey together!
Since late 2017, were working on our studios next game, Spire of Sorcery, which proved to be a bigger challenge. After spending 2018 and 2019 developing a product that was too broadly defined to be playable, we changed the direction and spent 2020 in a high stress, high output mode creating something much more specific a turn-based tactical exploration game that by now is finally getting more and more fun with every weekly update.
We hope to introduce you to the dangerous world of Rund, across which you must lead a party of the runaway mages, later this year when Spire of Sorcery enters the general Early Access.
Finally, already in 2021, we started the pre-production on our third game that returns us to the roots of the digital board game genre. We cannot reveal what it is, yet, but let us share with you this fact: already last week, we were able to complete the first multiplayer session in that game played by the three of us, from three different cities.
Were going to use our experience to give you something thats not only fun at its core, but also brings a lot of the most requested features such as team ranked play, built-in tournaments and peer-to-peer custom multiplayer sessions.
We do not have yet any estimate of when this game might enter Early Access, but we hope for the best perhaps, it will happen already this year.
We thank you for being a part of this exciting period and for your generous support of our development efforts, and we with you all the best!
With warm regards from Vilnius,
A city of many cultures and many languages,
The team of Charlie Oscar
Due to multiple changes that we made in the Winter update in regard to characters' balance, there will be no changes in the rules for March. We want to have more time to see how characters perform within the same environment before we start changing it. For example, the Politician, who looked rather weak in the first weeks after the update now looks much better since players learned how to take advantage of its new set of abilities. We don't want to rush any changes until the new meta becomes more stable. The results of this month will define the changes that might happen in April.
Dear friends:
In the time since we released the major Winter Update, we identified a few areas where we could further improve player experience.
Here's what we change with today's update:
This is a preview of all of the upcoming changes. The update itself will be released 11.02.
IMPORTANT: due to significant internal changes in the code, saves that are made in the current version of the game won't be compatible with the new version of the game we apologize for the inconvenience.
Dear players:
We congratulate those of you who celebrate the Lunar New Year, and we wish everyone health and prosperity. May this year give you the strength, the resolve and the patience to change the world for the better, and to help those in need!
Traditionally, around this time of the year we release a major update for Gremlins, Inc., and this year is not an exception: today's update is especially heavy with balancing changes that touch upon characters, cards, and even locations as well as with new features and quality of life improvements.
Let's look at the changes one by one:
Once upon a time we created a Gremlins, Inc. bundle called The Governor Edition. Players could save an additional 20% when upgrading from owning just the game and one or two DLCs to owning the whole set. Owners of that bundle also got special items during the celebration of the Lunar New Year each year. With the recent release of Agents of Chaos, we saw that we cannot really keep expanding The Governor Edition further since it would require players to purchase too many DLCs at once. And so, we created The Governor Edition 2. Heres what you need to know As of today, The Governor Edition contains: Gremlins, Inc. Gremlins, Inc. Uninvited Guests Gremlins, Inc. Automated Competitors Gremlins, Inc. Astral Gamblers Gremlins, Inc. Original Soundtrack It works as complete the set and offers a discount of 20% that applies on top of any other discounts for any of its contents. Owners of this edition (whether purchased as a bundle or separately, doesnt matter; we just check for ownership of all the content) receive the following items:
Dear community:
We have updated the Original Soundtrack of Gremlins, Inc. with 2 new music tracks: Nostalgic Tune and The Beat of Chaos. This expands the soundtrack to 33 tracks, with the total playtime of 1 hour and 31 minutes. If you own the Original Soundtrack DLC, the new tracks are now available for you via free Steam update.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/459851/Gremlins_Inc__Original_Soundtrack/
We wish you all the best,
and hope that a bit of new music will improve your mood

Five years ago, our development team launched Gremlins, Inc. on Steam in Early Access.
Since then, we released over 100 game updates that introduced new content and new features, as well as balanced the existing mechanics, and it seems like you guys have appreciated it: Gremlins, Inc. is now owned by over 700.000 players on Steam, and a thriving player community that we love dearly.
When we designed and developed the game in 2014-2015, we were rather naive. Thankfully, with the feedback from the community and through constant game updates, we were able to wisen up along the way, improving the game based on what players enjoyed the most. And youll be happy to know that the whole of this year we were working on the tools that will allow us to improve the game further, and in a much more radical way than before!
Some surprises that we discovered in the last 5 years:
Dear community:
On July 7 we have initiated a series of tests in order to improve connection for our Asia-based players.
Firstly, we moved our Asian servers from Singapore to Khabarovsk.
While for us, as a studio, Khabarovsk would have been better than Singapore for a number of reasons (its cheaper to run and were able to update and upgrade the servers there much faster), we decided against this change. Both the feedback of Asia-based players and our internal technical tests have shown no significant improvements over Singapore. And in some cases, it became even worse.
Secondly, we moved our Asian servers to Hong-Kong.
Were happy to report that this transfer has achieved our goal: the hub in Hong-Kong provides better hardware than Singapore (albeit, substantially more expensive) and, more importantly, it provides a much better connection for the majority of our Asia-based players. The feedback from the community that we received after the transfer was very positive, and our internal tests show steady improvement across all the thousands of sessions that were played there.
To give you a better picture, wed like to share some data:
In the week since the last transfer, over 5,000 sessions have been played in Hong-Kong.
The tests show that the number of sessions with any connectivity issues has decreased by 35% compared to Singapore. This means that hundreds of players now enjoy better player experience, which is the most important metric for us.
We are very grateful to our player community, especially to our Japanese, Chinese and Korea communities, for the patience that you have demonstrated while we were looking for a way to improve the server situation in Asia.
Thank you for being a part of this journey!

The first stage of the test is over. Both the community feedback and the data that we have received during the tests show no significant benefits of Khabarovsk in comparison with the Singapore location. With that in mind, we're moving to the next step of the test, and to the next location: Hong-Kong.
Please note: the transfer will happen on July 16, at 9:00 AM GMT (5:00 PM Beijing, 6:00 PM Tokyo), and will last approximately 3-4 hours.
During this time, only the Amsterdam server cluster will be available!
All your in-game stats, profiles, inventory items and so on, stays intact during and after the transfer. Additionally, the Amsterdam server cluster will remain available during the transfer, so you can continue playing there if you so wish. Once the transfer is done, both European and Asian server clusters will become available as usual.
We will be testing the new cluster for up to 2 weeks after the move: again by gathering player feedback as well as running our own tests on how the change affects lags and connectivity for different players.

Dear community:
As we mentioned in the recent Summer Update, we are exploring the possibility to improve connection of our Asia-based servers. Some players (mostly from mainland China and from a few regions of Japan) may currently experience lags when playing on the Singapore server.
Our next step is the following: on July 7, the Asian server cluster will be moved from Singapore to Khabarovsk. According to our server partner and to our preliminary tests, the new location may result in better connectivity for users from China as well as for users from Japan.
Please note: the transfer will happen on July 7, at 11:59 AM GMT (7:59 PM Beijing, 8:59 PM Tokyo), and will last approximately 6-8 hours.
During this time, the Singapore server cluster will be unavailable!
All your in-game stats, profiles, inventory items and so on, stays intact during and after the transfer. Additionally, the Amsterdam server cluster will remain available during the transfer, so you can continue playing there if you so wish. Once the transfer is done, both European and Asian server clusters will become available as usual.
We will be testing the new cluster for up to 2 weeks after the move: gathering player feedback as well as running our own tests on how the change affects lags and connectivity for different players. After that, we' will make the decision on whether we relocate the Asian server cluster to Khabarovsk permanently, or we need more tests in alternative locations (Hong-Kong and Tokyo are other possibilities).
We apologize for the inconvenience to those who will be affected by the move during July 7, and we hope that even if your own player experience is great right now on the Singapore server, you will understand our effort to improve the experience of players who are currently experiencing there lags from time to time.
Together, we can find the location that will make most of our players happier. Thank you!

The big Summer Update for Gremlins, Inc. is here, and as usual it brings new content and features as well as fixes and re-balancing changes. But before we jump into the details of the update, we wanted to share this information: malice At the end of 2019, we changed our server cluster in Singapore. A couple of months later, we discovered certain connectivity issues with the new server, and we did our best to fix them. We are aware that these efforts weren't entirely successful and some players, mostly from mainland China and certain regions of Japan, still might experience lags when they play the game on the Singapore server. We've spent the last 3 months trying dozens of options for addressing this issue, and we have no intention to leave it "as is" we will continue working on a solution. In the near future, we will be testing other geographical locations to see if moving the server from Singapore to another city could improve player experience in Asia. hypnoheart We are thankful for your patience and appreciate your understanding, and we hope to find the solution that will improve the experience of those players who currently may still experience lags. and now to the changes that this update brings to the game:
Gremlins, Inc. will turn five years old in just four months, and we're happy to keep developing the game further by adding new features and new content as well as re-balancing the existing mechanics. Later this month, we will release the Summer Update. We'd like to share with you today the new content and the changes that we plan to make, in order to get your feedback. Please share your thoughts with us right here, or on the forums, or on the game's Discord server!

Hello there!
Based on the community feedback as well as the stats from tens of thousands of sessions completed on the servers of Gremlins, Inc., we plan to adjust special abilities of 2 characters.
Before we do this, wed like to receive a bit more feedback please help us by commenting on this topic on Steam forums as well as on the games Discord server!

We released Gremlins, Inc. on Steam in late 2015 and every year since then, the game has been performing better than before. If you told us that things would work this way back in 2015, we would have found this hard to believe. But here we are with another record-setting year thanks to dedicated players who come from all over the world!
Some companies measure their products by revenue. We measure our games by how much time people spend playing them, and by this measure last year saw more players play more sessions in Gremlins, Inc. than in any year before. We dont think that we are creative geniuses, or that Gremlins, Inc. is a divine masterpiece. Rather, we think that the continued growth of the game is the collective result of these simple policies that we follow:
The New Year is near and what is the best way to celebrate it if not with another big tournament! 6 days, an extended prize pool, special prizes for the best players of both servers, modified decks on both servers, more sessions are taken into account... The New Year Tournament is almost here!
Please keep in mind that since rating points are frozen during tournaments and the monthly rating reset happens on the 1st day of each month, the December season actually ends a bit earlier, with the beginning of the tournament.

In just a few weeks, we'll celebrate the Lunar New Year. We currently work on adding 2 new cards to the game, and here's a preview of how they would work
Dear community:
It's been a few years since we set up the Asian server cluster in Singapore, and things worked pretty for us there.
But time flies, things change, and during the last week our old reliable server in Singapore has experienced 3 crashes due to failures in hardware.
During the night of Friday to Saturday, we made the decision to upgrade the server and move it to a new, moder machine.
It seems like everything is now fine with one exception: the data link between China and Singapore for the new server reports too many data packet loss instances for certain Chinese providers.
We had the same issue with the old server in 2016, and we fixed it then. We are now looking into the way of fixing this at the new server as well.
We apologise for inconvenience to those of you who currently experience delays in connecting to the Singapore server. Please know that we care, and that we will not stop working on this until we fix this.
We wish that we could have planned it, but the little monsters that decided to crash the old server gave us no warning about the change.
If you have any problems with the conneciton to the Singapore server, please leave us a note on Discord or on Steam forums. We will look into each issue. Because the loading may be unreliable for some users, you may also experience delay in loading your inventory. Nothing is lost on our server. The delay is just due to connectivity issues.
We will update this message once the issue has been resolved.
We thank every player who reached out to us with description of their issues, because this allowed us to understand the scope of the issue.
Thank you, and we apologise one more time for this temporary inconvenience.

Today we released the Spring Season Update for Gremlins, Inc. which includes 2 new cards, a new section in players' profiles with additional statistical data, and a useful quality of life improvement related to in-game bets.
It is time to share the details of the second card that will be added to to the game with the upcoming Spring Season Update for Gremlins, Inc. (which is much closer than you might think ;) )!
We're excited to share that Gremlins, Inc. will soon receive 2 new cards for the main deck, as a part of the upcoming Spring Season Update.
The details of the first of these new cards are as follows:
The community team tournament "Cooperating Capitalists" is over and we would like to summarize the results.
32 teams participated in the tournament, gathering 64 players from 11 countries:
Despite the high number of teams, the cooperative attitude of all the participants allowed us to complete the whole event in just 2 weekends during which 32 tournament sessions were played. It's worth noticing that the competing teams were not just responsible, but also friendly to each other and ready to sacrifice their own comfort in favour of that of their opponents. To satisfy the needs of some teams, several sessions were moved to different starting times or even to another server. Overall, the tournament had no significant delays and not a single session was canceled!
Without a doubt, the organizers of this team tournament deserve a special mention:
extenion,
jack_was,
Meowth,
Impsuley,
Standard of Ur &
winter1703. Without them, this event wouldn't have happen!

During the first and second rounds of the team play tournament we have streamed and recorded some of the sessions that were played. In case, if you missed the stream or spectated other sessions directly from the game, below you can find the recordings:
The registration to "COOPERATING CAPITALISTS!" is over. So many teams wanted to participate in the event that the tournament has been expanded to 32 teams instead of 16!
The schedule for the tournament together with the teams seeding can be found through this link.
The first round of the tournament begins tomorrow! You will be able to spectate the tournament sessions directly from the game or on the stream on the game's main page.
Good luck to the teams and let the strongest and the luckiest team wins!

The Autumn Season is officially over! Congratulations to the strongest and luckiest players on both servers: Top-10 players on Amsterdam and on Singapore will be awarded with pumpking Autumn Chests pumpking as well as with firstplace rare in-game items firstplace!
It's been a while since we shared the stats on the game, and we though that the approaching holiday season is a good time to reflect on this.
Gremlins, Inc. came out in Steam Early Access in October 2015, with the full release in March 2016. Since then we released a number of DLCs, and a lot of content and feature updates. As of now, we continue to update and improve the game based on player feedback, and plan to do so for many more seasons.
Current sales of the game are a few hundred copies shy of 200,000; current wishlist is at 130,000; and across all channels, we have about 450,000 owners of the game.
Since its launch, players completed roughly 1.5 million sessions in Gremlins, Inc. across both Amsterdam and Singapore servers. Curiously, the rate of single-player and multiplayer sessions is very similar on both servers:
Amsterdam: 55% multiplayer, 45% single-player
Singapore: 56% multiplayer, 44% single-player
In terms of sales by region, things have been moving up and down a little bit throughout the last year, but the overall picture remains the same. All-time sales, by copies, stand as follows:
32% China
16% Russia
14% USA
China is twice as big as the next region in the top and, when taken together, China and Russia are responsible for about 1/2 of all sales. If someone asked us about a forecast back in 2015, we would have never thought it possible.
8% Japan
4% Germany
4% France
The game has as many players from Japan as it has players from both Germany and France, even though all three regions started off with similar numbers when the game launched.
3% UK
2% Canada
2% Ukraine
2% Australia
15% rest of the world
One way of looking at this is that almost 80% of all purchases are made just from 6 countries: China, Japan, Russia, Germany, France and USA. Another way of looking is that the "rest of the world" group is responsible for more sales than the whole of USA.
Finally, the sales of DLCs are at this time at around 112,000 copies. Considering that Gremlins, Inc.'s DLCs are not a "paywall" but rather just some items that allow to have extra fun around the game, we're humbled by this high number that reflects both the love of the community and the enjoyment that people get out of the game hypnoheart.
The last three years have been an amazing journey for our studio, and none of this would have been possible without the constant stream of feedback and the expression of support of the community which comes from all over the globe.
We thank you for being with us, and we look forward to bringing you more fun in 2019 and beyond!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! malice

Today we release the Winter Season Update for Gremlins, Inc. which includes new cards with a never-before-seen game mechanics, quality-of-life changes, and bug fixes. With this update we also begin the new Winter Season, resetting the rating of all players to the default value of 100.00 (the award ceremony for the top players of the Autumn Season will happen a bit later). The Winter season should last until February 1, 2019, and then we are switching to the monthly system details of which will be announced later.
As for this update, below is the list of changes:
With the Winter Season Update, which is expected today, the game receives 2 new cards with a never-before-seen game mechanics:
Soon, the Autumn Season pumpking will end and the Winter Season flake will begin: we currently aim for December 17, 2018 as the date of the change.
At the same time we will release the Winter Season Update, which brings bug fixes, new user interface features and new cards (this time, they will have a never-before-seen game mechanics!).
Please keep in mind that the coming Winter Season will be shorter than usual, because starting from February 2019 we switch to the new system of game seasons that will change monthly.
Instead of 4 ranked seasons per year that are roughly tied to Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn, the game will have 12 Ranked Seasons, starting on the first day of each month.
Each of these monthly seasons has a separate prize pool firstplace, significantly expanded in comparison to the current system. The new system will also provide a more accurate and predictable seasonal schedule RatsClock as well as create more dynamic competition in the ranked mode.
We plan to share more details about the new system closer to its release.
In the meantime, please don't forget that the new season also means the reset of the rating for all players to the default 100.00. And the seasonal rewards, of course :)

The Summer Season is officially over! Congratulations to the strongest and luckiest players on both servers: Top-10 players on Amsterdam and on Singapore will be awarded with sunnyemo Summer Chests sunnyemo as well as with firstplace rare in-game items firstplace!
Today we release the Autumn Season Update for Gremlins, Inc. that introduces new content and a number of changes to the overall game balance, and the behaviour of AI bots. With this update we also begin the new Autumn Season, resetting the rating of all players to the default value of 100.00 (the award ceremony for the top players of the Summer Season will happen a bit later).
Below is the list of changes:
Earlier in the day, we announced some of the upcoming changes as well as the first of the two new cards that arrive with the Autumn Season next week. And here are the details of the second forthcoming card:
Good morning! It was pretty quiet in the last few weeks, as most of us here at the studio went on vacation (and those who didn't, were really busy working on Spire of Sorcery.) But we're back, and today we'd like to share some news:

The crowdfunding campaign on the Polish-language versions of Gremlins, Inc. – The Card Game, organized by Czacha Games, proceeds really well and the project has been completely funded in less than 2 days. To celebrate the success, this weekend we launch a special tournament, with Polish and English-language decks of Gremlins, Inc. – The Card Game as the bonus prizes (NB: Polish-language edition will be available in September).

Today we released the Summer Update for Gremlins, Inc. Below is the list of changes:
This time we have results not of one, but two different tournaments. First, our official tournament that took place on June 8-11. Below you can find an additional data related to this event – as well as the list of the winners ːfireappleː
Today we would like to share with you two news.
1) A new official tournament starts tomorrow;
2) The change of seasons will happen in about a week, at the same time with the Summer update that brings new content and changes to the game;
It's another beautiful week here in the Clockwork Town: protests are being filed and reviewed, new cards are being drawn and coloured, and Steam announcements are being composed and upvoted (thanks, by the way!).
Earlier, we showed you the first of the two new cards that are coming to Gremlins, Inc. with the ːsunnyemoː Summer Season ːsunnyemoː update, and today we'd like to show you the other one. But before that, a brief note about Fair Play Rules and our approach to moderation.
The Fair Play Rules are available on this forum in English, Russian and Chinese since we introduced anonymous ranked sessions, and as of now, we have banned a total of ːmaliceː 0.17% of players for being in breach of them. Our principle is to investigate every protest filed so that we can guarantee an even playing field to every player, whether newly joined or veteran. When we discover occasional unfair play, we ban players for 30 days from joining ranked sessions.
Sometimes unfair play comes in the form of teaming up against others in a session that should have remained anonymous, and sometimes it comes in the form of inconveniencing other players by deliberately stretching time limits. Regardless of the situation, we look at one thing first and foremost: whether a player, or two players, explicitly set out to use unfair methods of taking advantage over others. And if the answer is yes, then it's a ban.
Our vision of Gremlins, Inc. is to see it as a board game with a competitive angle that allows players to be aggressive in the game, if so they wish – but also to strictly limit that sort of behaviour to the allowed game mechanics only. We expect everyone to be mature enough to be respectful of each other, so that players from any country in the world, including our current international community that is coming from Japan, Russia, China, France, Ukraine and other regions can remain as friendly as it has been over the last couple of years. We hope that you agree!
And now, the second new card of the Summer Season update –
It's been a while since we posted any updates here, even though there's a custom tournament going on right now – plus we're working on a few items of extra content: we are simply too busy with all of the things happening at the studio, including the progress that we make on our next game.
But thanks to ːscoreː Standard of Ur as well as other folks at Discord who kept checking up on us, we're back to your newsfeed! Today we'll show you one of the 2 new cards that we plan to add to Gremlins, Inc. with the upcoming Summer Season update. This is one of the few cards that pays homage to the legacy of our designer's first game, Eador. Genesis.
The April tournament is over, and as usual we would like to share with you some additional data related to this event – as well as the list of the winners ːfireappleː

More than 150,000 players from more than 100 countries around the world have played ːcheatdiceː over one million sessions ːcheatdiceː since the game first released on Steam. We thank you for the continued trust, and for being such a wonderful community! ːhypnoheartː
When we sat down to design a digital board game, we were hoping to find exactly this type of players: those who use both their intellect and their knowledge of human psychology, in order to win against the odds.
The community of Gremlins, Inc. right now feels like a board game club, where you can always find a good challenge and make new friends in the process. Here at Charlie Oscar we look forward to another year of Gremlins, Inc. – with more new content and features in the plan!
To mark the 2nd anniversary, Gremlins, Inc. is available to play for free in this time:
ːSneakyChestː 10:00 (PST) March 10 – 10:00 (PST) March 12 ːSneakyChestː
Additionally, every player who owns The Governor Edition and logs into the game during the week of anniversary, gets a free tradable in-game item: Automatic Dice-roller. And the game is ːbh2coinː 50% off while the "play for free" promotion is running (March 10-12).
Thanks for playing with us, and see you in the game!

The Autumn Season is officially over, and we'd like to congratulate the winners listed below! The prizes will be awarded later today. By the way, there's one protest against the results on the Singapore server, which Qfasa addresses in this thread.
This update includes new special effects for the second playing field, changes for the customization window in players profiles, numerous gameplay changes and fixes and more. The full list of changes is available below.
Today we bring you the news about the change of seasons:
ːflakeː December 14 is when we will release a next update w/new content and features
ːscoreː December 15 marks the end of the Autumn Season and the beginning of the Winter Season
The Winter Season is just a week away! Today we introduce to you the second new card that will arrive to the game with the next week's update (the other new card is shown here).
The Winter Season is not that far away, and it will bring 2 new cards into the game; one of these we're happy to present to you today:
Gremlins, Inc. – CARD GAME is the original standalone card game set in the world of Gremlins, Inc. The game was designed by Alexey Bokulev for 2 to 6 players, with average playtime of 30-60 minutes per session, and has been enjoyed by hundreds of board game enthusiasts from all over the world since 2015.
Our first official tournament on the new playing field is over, and as usual we would like to share with you some additional data related to this event – as well as the list of the winners ːfireappleː
Today we kick off the official tournament that features ːLocationː the new playing field: Clockwork Colony.
As some of you know, a couple of years back our game designer created a ːcardsː companion card game for Gremlins, Inc., and we even printed a few hundred decks of the prototype.
The card game's deck contains 129 cards that use the same art and the same card names, but the card game is built with different game mechanics. The principles are the same – build your own projects while disrupting the strategies of other players – but the overall game flow is less random, and more faster-paced. There are secret and revealed projects; there are 3 types of resources; and their are ways to bluff and attack, which makes for a very hot-blooded game flow.
We playtested the card game numerous times in various groups, from duels to 6-player setups, and it bears the same features as Gremlins, Inc. the video game: very often when playing until ːscoreː 20, for example, you will see players with scores of 18, 19, 16 and 18 at the end of the session, so that the tension remains until the very last turn.
Now, originally we thought that we can print a thousand decks, and sell them through Amazon. Or find a local publisher in Germany or, say, US, and release it this way. Alternatively, we could do a Kickstarter campaign, get a few thousand orders, and print and ship those.
But we're a small team, and all of that would take the time away from continuing to update Gremlins, Inc. and develop Spire of Sorcery. There is a thread on the forums where we offer to ship prototype decks to people directly, and it's been an uphill struggle to find the time to invoice via PayPal, then go to the post office and mail those packages, and we feel twice guilty about this: first, for taking the time off the video game projects; and second, for taking so long to respond to people in general.
At the same time, working with a physical copy of the card game also has its drawbacks: we cannot add languages as easily as to a digital product, since professional printing of a deck requires a run of several thousand decks; so we cannot experiment with, say, Japanese, or German, or even Russian. And so we were sort of stuck with a great card game that people love (the player feedback that we received on the card game has been overwhelmingly positive so far!) but no way to do something meaningful with it.
Just a quick note to say that later in the day this afternoon, together with the major free update introducing the new playing field (Clockwork Colony), we will add 3 more music tracks to the original soundtrack of the game:
Just one week remains until the start of ːcheatdiceː The Luckiest Gremlin – a whole new duel tournament organized by ːsteampunkː green_v, one of the veterans of the game.
The rules of the tournament promise a short (just a few days!), fast and exciting event! It also provides an opportunity to play against ːsteampunkː some of the most well-known players of the Clockwork Town – as well as against ːmaliceː the developers, with a very special prize set aside for those who defeat any of them.
We currently expect more than 100 participants!
Our first official Autumn tournament is over, and as usual below you can find some additional data related to this event – as well as the list of the winners ːfireappleː
We're happy too report that the last 4 characters from the ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː DLC are now in full colour, and the only thing they miss is their own location highlights.
As a reminder, we currently expect to release the DLC in about a month, together with the update that will bring to the game the long-expected second playing field (and by the way, there's already a sketch of how it will look like, background and all, on the official Discord server of Gremlins, Inc.).

We’re very excited to announce our studio’s new game: ːsummer_magicː Spire of Sorcery ːsummer_magicː, an open-world dark fantasy RPG/strategy about a renegade mage and his disciples surviving at the edge of the world. The game will become available in Steam Early Access in 2018 in 7 languages. You can already find more details about the game on its Steam page!

As the work on the ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː DLC continues, we thought that we'd share with you some work in progress. The first four characters – the Secret Agent, the Banker, the Gambler and the Damned – made it from the concept stage to the full-color stage. These look like an old photo album, which is the whole idea behind this DLC that brings back the memories of when the Clockwork Town was still in its wild years.
Now the only thing that's left to do with these four characters, is for Yaroslav to apply their unique location colours. It will be just a touch, maybe some small detail.

The community team tournament CHEATING PRANKS (2x2) is over. 50 teams and 100 participants played almost 200 tournament sessions in a period of more than 5 weeks. And the winner demonstrated just an incredible result.
ːfirstplaceː
ːflashoflightningːБольные ублюдки (which can be translated as Sick bastards) have marched through the nine rounds of the tournament with nothing but victories! In some of the sessions the team had a bigger advantage, other were as close as 1 point of difference, but none of them were defeats. An amazing level of skill and luck that brought them well deserved first place in the tournament. Well played, DarkStyle and green_v!
Second place. This team has defeated ːflashoflightningːDreadnaughts, one of the early favorites of the tournament, in the very first round and had great results overall but has lost to ːflashoflightningːБольные ублюдки (but so did everyone else) and to ːflashoflightningːПолный облом (The Terrible Accident). Despite these two loses ːflashoflightningːWildHorses managed to get the highest Buchholz rank among all teams, which brought this team to the second place. Congratulations, Sloth and Xamsteriks!
And third place goes to one of the organizers of the tournament – izmegul. He and DrBiker made to the third place as the team ːflashoflightningːПолный облом (Russian name of the card "The Terrible Accident"). And this "accident" was pretty terrible for most of the opponents who have met the team during the tournament – only two were able to survive. Even ːflashoflightningːБольные ублюдки just barely made it with the score of 19:18. But alas, two defeats was enough to put ːflashoflightningːПолный облом on the third place and not higher. Great performance nonetheless!
ːHoly_Grailetː Our congratulations to the winners, runner-ups, and everyone else who participated in CHEATING PRANKS! ːHoly_Grailetː

Today we're happy to present the 7th character from the upcoming ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː DLC (which will be released in two months or so, together with the free update introducing the second playing field).
He might not be the richest gremlin in Clockwork Town and he doesn't live in a fancy house – but when it's time to pay bribes, you won't find a better character than the Pauper if you want to save half of your money.

Today we'd like to share with you the work in progress on the fifth character from the upcoming ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː DLC (which is expected to come out around the same time as the free update with the new playing field). This character is so secret that he doesn't even have a location of his own. Yes, this is the Secret Agent.

Earlier this week, we already shared the sketches of a few new character skins from the upcoming ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː DLC: here are the Banker, the Gambler and the Damned.
Today we'd like to share with you the work in progress on the Merchant.

As we continue to work on the new character skins for ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː, today we'd like to share the concept of the 2nd character in the set – the Gambler.
Here's how the Gambler looks in the core version of the game –

As we've mentioned before, one of the things that the studio is currently working on is the new set of character skins that we call ːfirstplaceː Famous Figures ːfirstplaceː. It is dedicated to the glorious past of the Clockwork Town, and will be released as a DLC at the same time when we will roll out the free update with the 2nd playing field.
Today we'd like to introduce you to the new Banker.
First, let's remember how the Banker looks in the core set of the game –
Since then, we've released three more skins as a part of "Uninvited Guests", "Automated Competitors" and "Astral Gamblers" sets. Here's how these look –
And here's the work in progress on the new skin, which our artist Yaroslav is fleshing out this week:
Introducing 100% Orange Gremlins: bundle: this set includes two digital board games with very different themes, both of which already have hundreds of thousands of dedicated players:
100% Orange Juice (94% positive user reviews)
Gremlins, Inc. (87% positive user reviews)
The bundle offers a chance to SAVE 30% when purchasing both games together, and if you already own one of these games – then you can complete your set by buying just the other game with the same 30% discount!
100% Orange Juice is available in English and Japanese languages. Gremlins, Inc. is available in English, Japanese and ten other languages.
100% Orange Gremlins
This is just a quick note to say that we recently sat down around the studio table, and agreed that everyone on the team is by now itching to bring a few more new gremlins into the game.
After discussing some ideas, we settled on the concept that we called ːcheatdiceː "Famous Figures" ːcheatdiceː – this new set will be dedicated to the legendary gremlins who originally discovered the Clockwork-Town, and put forward the first efforts to settle here.
We currently have no release date for this new set, and we just started on the content of this DLC, but we still wanted to let you know that it's going to arrive in a few months or thereabouts ːSneakyChestː, most likely around the time when we will push the free update with the new playing field ("Clockwork Colony"). As always, this DLC will not influence the game mechanics, and will not create any unfair advantage for its owners – it's something that we make just for fun!
Below you can see a few steps of the creative process. Would you like to see more? Each character from "Famous Figures" actually has their own story ːnotebookː. Let us know in the comment section, and if you're interested, then we'll be happy to share how these new characters are being born in the studio in the next few weeks!

Today we'd like to give you a quick update on the progress of something that we all are very much looking forward to: the second playing field that we hope to add to the game before the end of this year. It's called "The Clockwork Colony".
Above in the header, you can see how it looks overall – without the background illustration and animation yet, but at least the actual placement of different spots and locations is already final there.
And below is the explanation of where the 11 locations are placed, on the Clockwork Colony –
This playing field will become optional for custom sessions, and will be used from time to time for all the ranked sessions. The Clockwork Colony is designed for the same deck of cards as the current Clockwork Town.
At this time, we are working on supporting this new field from the side of programming as well as we are working on creating the visuals that would be in the background, including the animations.
While we do not have a confirmed release date for this new content, we are quite certain that it will arrive to the game before the end of the year. And it will be a free update available to every player.

With 3 remaining undefeated leaders and 3 technical losses for the teams that didn't manage to play in time, the fourth round of the community team tournament CHEATING PRANKS (2x2) is over.
Six leaders from the previous round have played with each other and ːflashoflightningːПолный облом managed to defeat ːflashoflightningːAssassins of Topdeckers ːRUSflagː with the score of 31:18, ːflashoflightningːShimada Bros. defeated ːflashoflightningːDon't mind with an impressive score of 29:4, but even more spectacular was the result of ːflashoflightningːБольные Ублюдки against ːflashoflightningːWildHorses (Belarus) – 31:0! Each team has lost around 20 points in that session but for ːflashoflightningːWildHorses (Belarus) these 20 points were all that they collected.
Between ːflashoflightningːOlisava and ːflashoflightningːEvilEngineers ːRUSflagː the winner has been decided by the amount of money, since the leaders of both teams had 19 points at the end of the session (it is even more impressive if you know that the equality of the score was created at the very last round and at the turn of the last player from ːflashoflightningːOlisava, who used An Award Ceremony against the opposing leader, who at that moment had 21 points but lost the advantage as the result of this "last second" attack).
ːflashoflightningːNME ːstarsandstripesː defeated ːflashoflightningːCall of Accelerator and managed to collect 57 points in the process but ːflashoflightningːПинки и Брэйн ːRUSflagː gone even further and had astonishing 71 points after 66 rounds of their game against ːflashoflightningːФиолетовые игуаны. The Engineer of the winning team was indeed unstoppable in that session.
The rest of the results you can see below:
With the beginning of the fifth round, we can expect even more spectacular games, since ːflashoflightningːПолный Облом will play with ːflashoflightningːБольные Ублюдки and ːflashoflightningːShimada Bros. meets ːflashoflightningːWildHorses (Belarus). Is it possible that after this round only one team will keep its perfect score? Yes, and in the next four days we'll know if this happens. The current standings of the teams are available here: http://challonge.com/CheatingPranks/standings
You can follow the updates of the tournament here, and discuss the results and the tournament as a whole in this thread.
The third round of the community team tournament CHEATING PRANKS (2x2) is completed. Its results, as well as the current team standings, are below:
Most of the participants of the tournament displayed great dedication to the event. 46 teams managed to complete their sessions in time. Only 2 teams got a technical loss for missing the time of their games.
Current standings of all the teams are available here: http://challonge.com/CheatingPranks/standings
Six teams continue the tournament with nothing but victories:
ːflashoflightningːAssassins of Topdeckers ːRUSflagː managed to defeat their closest opponents, ːflashoflightningː接接接...接客鸡 ːchinaː, and now leads the tournament with an impressive score of 81 points. Other leaders though aren't that far from each other. The difference between the teams on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places is only 9 points, so in the next round they need not just a victory, but a victory with a big difference in points. Something like ːflashoflightningːEvilEngineers ːRUSflagː managed to achieve in the 3rd round, where they have won against ːflashoflightningːЛолик и Балаболик with a score of 65:22.
Speaking of the next round – it already began. You can follow the updates of the tournament here, and discuss the results and the tournament as a whole in this thread.
The second round of the community team tournament CHEATING PRANKS (2x2) is over. The results of this round are on the picture below –
Four teams weren't able to schedule their sessions within the time limit, but the rest were on point and have completed their sessions. Some of the teams even used a replacement player instead of a regular one just to be able to play before the deadline. As a friendly reminder to the teams who might struggle at the end of a round: each team has the opportunity to replace 1 player in every session for any reason. You can't use a player from another team, but it is possible to find someone else, who will help your team to play in that round.
Current standings of all the teams are available here: http://challonge.com/CheatingPranks/standings
With two rounds completed, we now can see the first emerging leaders of the tournament – so far, 12 teams out of 50 have no defeats. ːflashoflightningːAssassins of Topdeckers is crushing it, with the score 57-8 in the first round and 29-9 in the second round, which gives them impressive 69 points of difference. The second place occupies ːflashoflightningː接接接...接客鸡 – a team from China, with 48 points of difference after two rounds. Will they keep that tempo further in the tournament? The third round already started, so stay tuned.
You can follow the updates of the tournament here, and discuss the results and the tournament as a whole in this thread.

With pleasure we confirm one of the 2 new cards that is arriving to Gremlins, Inc. with the Autumn Season update in a few weeks –
The first round of the tournament CHEATING PRANKS is over, its results you can see on the picture below. All teams demonstrated great organization, met the deadline for the round and showed a wide range of results. Some sessions ended in crushing victories and in other sessions the difference in points was minimal. Worth noting the difference between the scores of different winners. The team "don't_metter" has collected mere 19 points and this was enough for a victory, while the teams ЦИРК УРОДОВ and ThaiLi's Inc. made quite an overkill by collecting 60 points each.
Now, when the teams have "warmed up", it will be even more interesting to follow the tournament. Who will be able to avenge the defeat in the first round, which teams will go to the third round without defeats, and whose winning series will be ended right after its start?
You can follow the updates of the tournament here (pairs for the second round already are announced and you can vote for the winners if you have registration on Challonge), and discuss the results and the tournament as a whole in this thread.
And so it begins! 50 teams registered to participate in the Summer's Community Team Tournament – the 'CHEATING PRANKS' tournament, 9 rounds of which can potentially fill the whole month. 100 players will compete for the extensive prize fund ːfirstplaceː and for the right to gleefully giggle at the less fortunate opponents.
The draw already took place, its results are available on Challonge, where the teams can find their first opponents and start playing their first sessions. We will post updated information about the course of the tournament after each round. ːscoreː We also have a plan to comment on the final sessions, watching the 'live' streams from the players. ːscoreː

To make our work more transparent to the community (as well as to prepare for our new game Spire of Sorcery, that will go into Steam Early Access in 2018), we created a Trello board for Gremlins, Inc.
This board is publicly accessible, and lists currently known tech issues as well as new content that is confirmed for development (for example, you can already find there a sketch of the second playing field ːsteampunkː that we already work on and plan to deploy before the end of this year).
The visit the board, click here:
https://trello.com/b/HjOStDAS
Essentially, our goals with this board are:
(1) to make sure that we do not forget about any reported bugs
(2) to show everyone which features/content we currently work on
(3) to upgrade our communication tools with the community ahead of the new game, using Gremlins, Inc. as a field test.
We hope that some of you find this useful, and we thank everyone who already contributed their feedback to where we can take this project further! ːfireappleː
Just a quick heads-up that we will be releasing an update for the game shortly (adding a few new drops, allowing mods in team sessions, and offering a number of fixes across the board), and there's one change in particular that we wanted to highlight ahead of this update:
Later this week, the requirements for crafting chests based on blueprints will change as follows –
Regular Chest Blueprints (ːSneakyChestː)
These will require ːhealth_powerupː20 to craft a chest (currently, they require ːhealth_powerupː30).
Autumn Chest Blueprints (ːpumpkingː)
Winter Chest Blueprints (ːflakeː)
Spring Chest Blueprints (ːgreengemstoneː)
Summer Chest Blueprints (ːsunnyemoː)
These will require ːhealth_powerupː50 to craft a chest (currently, they require ːhealth_powerupː100).
While all these items are free drops that we do not trade ourselves (they can only be traded by players), we still wanted to let you know about this ahead of the change so that if you plan to craft a few chests, you may want to hold off on this until this weekend!
Shortly prior to this tournament, we plan to release an update to Gremlins, Inc. that will add one long-awaited feature to the game (you will be able to create mods for team-based sessions) as well as add a number of new in-game items of higher rarity, most of which will be available from ːSneakyChestː regular chests. Also, the prize fund of the tournament includes these new items – they will be added to the list after the update, when they become available in the game.
Hello gremlins,

It's been quite a journey for Charlie Oscar:
ːhypnoheartː 2013
The studio is founded as a 2-man team (based in Stockholm and in Kiev); we agree on the idea of Gremlins, Inc. and we start with the first concept art. We have little clue about how the final product will look like, and our development pipeline (the process from idea to realisation) does not exist yet. A lot of work will need to be redone at a later stage.
ːhypnoheartː 2014
We are now 3 people, and pre-production on Gremlins, Inc. is in full force throughout the year. One of us visits Vilnius and loves the Old Town and the country so much that he relocates there from Stockholm. Our new colleague brings on board his own server technology, making possible to build a cross-platform multiplayer game that we wanted all along. There's a lot of prototyping as we're searching for the exact look of the playing field.
ːhypnoheartː 2015
We are now 5 people, and 3 of us have now moved to Vilnius for good – plus one more new colleague is a local. The first playable beta is produced early in the year and we work six days a week as the production stage heats up. In the middle of the year we run out of money and we are saved by our friends at TaleWorlds. In October, Gremlins, Inc. is finally released on Steam Early Access – with the sales of just a few hundred copies at first. We keep crunching, released updates first weekly, then bi-weekly. The rating of the game climbs to 91% positive.
ːhypnoheartː 2016
We are now 6 people. Gremlins, Inc. launches on Steam as a full release in March, and just in the first month sells 3 times more copies than in the whole period of 5 months in Early Access. We develop and release 3 cosmetic DLCs, which will go on to sell over 50,000 copies. We introduce free in-game items and start to see as many as 40,000 player-to-player trades every month. The studio is finally making ends meet, and we continue to add content to the game – as well as develop a standalone offline version for those without constant Internet access. We release on Sonkwo in China. The Chinese and the Russian audiences shape up to be our two most-important non-English markets.
ːhypnoheartː 2017
We are now 7 people. The new person joins to start full-time on Spire of Sorcery, our studio's next game (an open-world dark fantasy post-apocalyptic indirect control exploration strategy). We start with the concept of "seasons", adding new content and new features every three months. In February, we add special content themed after Chinese New Year – and set a sales record. In March, we release the offline edition of the game, Gremlins vs Automatons, as a free add-on to all the owners of the game, and run our first big sale, setting yet another sales record. We release Gremlins, Inc. on Humble Store with great success during their Board Game Week. We release Gremlins, Inc. on GOG, with cross-platform multiplayer.
ːhypnoheartː WHAT'S NEXT?
Our plans for 2017 and 2018 are to continue creating new content and new features for Gremlins, Inc. We keep testing new cards that will be introduced to the game over the coming seasons. When we launched in 2015, we promised that once the game sells 100,000 copies, we will start working on the second playing field – and this is what we're starting with, this month. You may have already seen its design on our YouTube channel. Now we need to find a way of actually making it happen in the game. At the same time, we are already a few weeks into the pre-production and even early production of Spire of Sorcery. This is the first time when Charlie Oscar has two games being developed at the same time, and we're thrilled with this opportunity!
And here's what we learned along the journey:
ːsteampunkː we are a small studio but we can make big things happen, because of our teamwork and how everyone has everyone's back covered;
ːsteampunkː we make games because of the pleasure that we get when we see players being happy; this motivation is the one that runs the deepest; we have over 1,500 reviews by now, and still we read each new review;
ːsteampunkː we can run our business based on the idea of creating original games; from the digital board game to the open-world indirect strategy, we want to chase our dreams – making stuff that hasn't been made before;
ːsteampunkː our games are never, ever really "finished" – there's always one more feature and a bit more content that we will make, and ship; running continuous updates is not a luxury or afterthought, this is our development model;
ːsteampunkː the community of players made a huge contribution to how the game evolved; the feedback from the community is the most valuable input that we take into account when making design and development decisions;
ːsteampunkː finally, we do not think of our games as being in just one language (English), we launched Gremlins, Inc. in 12 languages and the feedback from the Russian, Chinese and Japanese communities has been amazing; we will continue to release our games in at least 6 main languages: English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, German and French.
Thanks for sticking with us for the ride, and we hope to see you in the game later this month when the Summer Season will kick off with new features and new content! ːsunnyemoː

One more feature that we plan to roll out with the Summer Season update (expected in about a month) is the feature that was widely debated within the dev team as well as on the community forums for the last few months: we call it "player reputation".
This is how this feature is going to work:
* at the end of each multiplayer session (ranked or non-ranked), each player will be asked to rate every player in this session (including themselves);
* there are three possible options (shown on the illustration above):
– "In this session, I did not enjoy playing with this player."
– "In this session, this player was playing like anyone else, nothing exceptional."
– "In this session, I enjoyed playing with this player"
* if player A plays with player B several times (and rates them), we keep only the last rating given by player A; in other words, player reputation does not show "historical cumulative figure", it shows how this player is rated by others in recent sessions;
* this is what player rating will affect:
– ranked queue priorities;
– access to tournaments;
– how this player's name is displayed in the multiplayer lobby.
Why are we doing this: to isolate the very few players that, statistically, cause the worst experience to the community (e.g. drop out after every session, play randomly, are personally aggressive, etc.) and to highlight the players that are the most fun to play with.
Please note that the rating is not related to how well these players play. It is related to how much fun it is to play with them, regardless of whether you win or lose. The exact formula will be fine-tuned once we launch, and you will start seeing "one of the best" and "one of the worst" reputation markers in the lobby and on player profiles – once this feature is live.
Today we'd like to share some information about the new feature of the meta-game that we've been working on for the last few weeks: crafting of boxes, which we call "boxes of goods".
Once this feature is released into the game (we expect this to happen with the Summer Season update next month), this is how it will work:
* You will need 10 identical items
* You will be able to convert these 10 items into 1 box
* The box will be fully tradable on Steam Marketplace
* The box will contain 3 new items, out of these:
– 1 item will be of rarity level that is at least 1 level higher than the items you used to craft the box;
– 2 items will be randomly drawn from the list of every item that exists in the game.
So, for example, you can craft 10 common items into a box that will have at least 1 uncommon item + 2 random items that may include common items (boring!) but may also include rare or illegal items, including those from the seasons that are already over (wow!).
Why we're doing this: to give players a way of using duplicate items for a chance to score rare items, especially those from the rare and very rare seasons.
We hope that it adds a little extra to your player experience, and we'll be back shortly to announce another feature that we plan to introduce to the game with the Summer Season! ːfireappleː
Just a few minutes ago Gremlins, Inc. became available on GOG ːscoreː. While we already sell the game through non-Steam platforms such as Humble Store and Sonkwo, all of those platforms are distributing the Steam version of the game. The release on GOG marks the first time when the game is available outside of the Steam ecosystem.
Please note: Gremlins, Inc. offers cross-platform multiplayer, so from this moment and onwards you will be able to play not only with the Steam community, but also with the GOG community. To see the platform from which a specific player is accessing the game, navigate to their player profile and check the icon to the left of their player name.
We welcome all the new players joining the community! ːfireappleː
Hooray, it is the Cogwheel day, one of the few holidays that gremlins have in clockwork town. It is the anniversary of the invention of the First Cogwheel, and it is the day when especially honestly looking politicians give especially loud speeches and the especially cheerful Governor promises to make the clockwork town even greater. This is also the day when we start our new tournament.
With this tournament, we want to try a new scheme that we haven't tried before. First of all, it will last for a week, from April 28th until May 5th. But it won't be a single continuous tournament. Instead, each of the seven days has a new tournament with a new prize fund but with the same rules. Each following tournament also has an increased prize fund.
With such rules you don't need to commit the whole week to this tournament in order to achieve something. You can give it a try every day or to skip a few tournaments – the choice is yours.
Happy holidays to those who celebrate Easter this weekend! ːgreengemstoneː We've thrown together a bundle that includes the game as well as all the DLCs, with a 40% discount when purchased at once – as a gift idea if some of your friends have the game on their wishlist:
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/3220/
We're happy to report that a major team tournament in the format of 2x2, organised by ːcheatdiceːDarker and ːcheatdiceːIzmegul, has finished.
The tournament lasted more than a month – from February 26 through April 10 – and featured 26 teams with 52 players in total.
The teams played 91 sessions across 7 rounds – plus the semifinals and finals. The finals, structured as "best of 3", proved to be truly challenging!
The following Top 9 teams are awarded:
ːmaliceː GREMLINS PWNERS SQUAD (THEPWNER and Altruist)
ːmaliceː Dreadnought (Dabiz and Silence)
ːmaliceː Полный облом (Izmegul and DrBiker)
ːmaliceː Две легенды (GrekHek and Archer)
ːmaliceː ДрынТим* (DarkStyle and green_v)
ːmaliceː Call of Accelerator (tgaog and Marid)
ːmaliceː Nothing personal (Dread and ChiefMentor)
ːmaliceː Mechquake (Che and Thainlex)
ːmaliceː Alice Is Dead (Debaser and Foxy)
This tournament has been an amazing undertaking, and we thank Darker and Izmegul for putting their hearts and their time into making it happen! This tournament also proved that some of the best player experience in Gremlins, Inc. comes from team mechanics: the heights of planning and improvisation shown by players in the final sessions were truly incredible!
We look forward to supporting more tournaments of this type in the future!

The first Spring tournament is over, and we're thrilled to say that this tournament has set the absolute record in terms of both sessions player and the number of participants! ːfireappleː
It’s time to announce our next official tournament – the first tournament of the Spring Season! In addition to the rare in-game items, the prize fund of this tournament also features Steam keys to a number of wonderful indie games.
Today we release a rather big update for Gremlins, Inc. (30/03/2017), kicking off the Spring Season at the same time. The update bringing the same new cards and Misfortune to Gremlins vs Automatons is expected to come through a few days later.
Good news for the nearly 10,000 owners of the original soundtrack of Gremlins, Inc.: we just released ːmusicː a free update, featuring 5 more compositions. All of them were released after the original OST launch date, and previously the only way to listen to them was to play them directly from the game. But from now on, you can listen to such hits as "Melody of the Automated Rooster" and "Gremlins vs Automatons Theme" anytime, anywhere.
You will also be among the first to hear the previously unreleased track "The Sound of Spring", which is the official melody of the ːgreengemstoneː Spring Season. ːgreengemstoneː And with these new tracks, the overall time of Gremlins, Inc.'s OST now exceeds one hour! We hope that you will enjoy this complimentary addition to your musical collection.
New tracks (SIDE A):
ːmusicː The Abandoned Clockwork Town
ːmusicː Festive Tune
ːmusicː Melody of the Automated Rooster
ːmusicː Gremlins vs Automatons Theme
ːmusicː The Sound of Spring

Today we'd like to talk about a game that we did not develop: Battle Brothers, created by Overhype Studios, just transitioned from Early Access into full release, and it's a fantastic game for anyone who loves TBS RPGs!
This new ːtelegramː Misfortune arrives to Gremlins, Inc. with the upcoming ːgreengemstoneː Spring Season:
Today, we'd like to share 2 news. Firstly, the game's Anniversary celebration brought the most fantastic results: more than 20,000 new players joined Gremlins, Inc. over the last two weeks!
ːhypnoheartː Thank you!多谢!Спасибо!ありがとう!THANK YOU! ːhypnoheartː
Secondly, we're just 10 days away from the kickoff of the new Spring Season, which will bring the following new content (as usual, for free):
Here's a few things that we do to celebrate the first anniversary of the game:
Dear citizens and guests of the Clockwork Town.
The Winter Season is officially over! Right after this announcement the players from the top-10 of both servers will be awarded the ːflakeː Winter Chests ːflakeː, which for the next few months will be the last Winter Chests granted to players. They also aren’t available anymore as the drops during sessions – instead, very soon we will see new ːgreengemstoneː Spring Chests ːgreengemstoneː.
In the next week we are going to share with you all sort of data about the events of the Winter Season, and right now we would like to announce the winners officially and to congratulate them with the success in the last season.

As you see, the struggle for the positions in top-10 was so intense that the difference between the places in some cases is measured in hundredth parts of a point. And sometimes there was no difference at all, and top-10 of Amsterdam is actually top-11 because of this.
Once again, we congratulate all winners and wish good luck to all our players in the next season that will begin in the last week of March.

We're thrilled to announce that Gremlins vs Automatons, the dedicated version of Gremlins, Inc. that can be played offline, without any connection to the server, is now released! ːmaliceːːsteampunkːːfirstplaceː

ːmaliceː Round 3 ːmaliceːof the currently ongoing team tournament (organized by Darker and Izmegul) has kicked off today.
Here are the top 6 leading teams, each scoring 2 wins and 0 losses so far:
In a week from now, we will celebrate the first anniversary of ːmaliceː Gremlins, Inc. ːmaliceː on Steam: the game was released on March 11, 2016 and since then we never really stopped updating and expanding the product: we've added team mode, spectator mode, re-worked tutorial and additional single-player challenges, user mods via Steam Workshop and in-game items tradable via Steam Community Market – as well as new cards, new visuals, and new music (not to mention new sound effects!).
Some weeks it's been just a regular production cycle: create, add, build, test, fix, discuss, and create again. And some weeks it's been more of a challenge: once, our community manager woke up our network programmer at 3AM, shouting "SERVER DOWN! SERVER DOWN!". Another, the producer and the designer spent their weekend hunting down a couple of players who were abusing the drop system.
All through this year, there's been one major concern that we always kept in mind (and which was voiced by some players): what if – WHAT IF – our Singapore or Amsterdam servers get flooded, and nobody can play Gremlins, Inc. for a day or so? That would be ːfire_fire_fireːːmaliceːːcursecardːːcursedskullːːcursecardːːmaliceːːfire_fire_fireː!!
And so up high on our "things we must do before we can take a proper vacation" was the point that read: ːnotebookːusers must be able to play the game offline ːnotebookː.
Tonight we're happy to confirm that we're just a few days away from releasing this feature, which will come as a standalone application (free to every owner of Gremlins, Inc.):
Tonight we salute the participants of the on-going 2x2 Team Tournament that features 26 teams and a Swiss system, organised by Darker and Izmegul.
After 16 sessions played, currently in the lead is:
Dear citizens and guests of the Clockwork Town.
Only few days of Winter are left, and as they pass the end of the Winter Season in "Gremlins, Inc." comes closer. It is going to be replaced with the Spring Season which will bring a whole lot of new seasonal items in the brand new chests.
Below you can find the information about how this process will happen.
Second February tournament is completed. For this one we have changed how the additional tournament points work and made some UI improvements related to how the results of the tournament sessions are shown. While we are discussing the feedback about the tournament, allow us to share its results with you.
As always, you can find the full tournament table in the game, while below you can see the top-10 from both servers, prize fund, and some additional stats.
Fun facts:
Almost 900 players participated in this tournament, but the number of sessions was even higher than in the previous tournament – about 1000 tournament sessions were played in these 72 hours. Also, players were more involved, with more than 250 players who have played all 7 tournament sessions (there were players with 20+ tournament sessions), and more than 400 players who have played at least 4+ sessions.
1309 tournament chests were distributed during the tournament. Among rarest drops in that period:
The Governor of Governors: 31
Blueprint: "The Ruffian": 16
Champion's trail: 8 (plus 2 more will be issued to the winners)
Total number of chests distributed in more than 3300 sessions of all types during these 72 hours: 2,300.
In case if the action of the official tournament isn't enough for you, or if you prefer to play as a team with your friend instead of solo, we have a great news for you! Soon after the end of the official tournament another one will take its place. This tournament is initiated by the players izmegul and Darker, and will offer team sessions 2x2, Swiss-system format, and a prize pool created by the players and additionally supported by the developers.
After the recent changes in our matchmaking system we now have changed the way how the additional tournament points work in the game, and how the endings of all official tournaments processed. Our next tournament that includes all these changes, starts on February 17th and will last for 72 hours, until February 20th. Details of the tournament you can find below.
First February tournament, where we have tested our new matchmaking sytem, is over. We would like to say that in general we are satisfied with the system, and after some adjustments it always will be used in our official tournaments. Would you like to share your opinion about the new matchmaking system? How was the queue time and the opponents' strength?
In regard to the results of the tournament, as always, you can find the full list of participants directly in the game (under the 'Tournament Ladder' section), and below you will find top-10 from both servers and some additional facts about the tournament.
Fun facts:
More than 900 players participated in this tournament, which makes it one of the most crowded tournaments that we had recently. More than 350 players have played at least half of their sessions (4+), and ~200 of them have played all 7 (or more) tournament sessions. More than 800 tournament sessions were played in 72 hours, which means that we had ~11 tournament sessions per hour.
1183 tournament chests were distributed during the tournament. Among rarest drops in that period:
The Governor of Governors: 10
Blueprint: "The Ruffian": 8
Champion's trail: 4 (plus 2 more will be issued to the winners)
Total number of chests distributed in 3913 sessions of all types during these 72 hours: 2,692.
With a few server improvements and a reworked matchmaking system, we are finally ready to present to you a tournament dedicated to the Lunar New Year!
Here are the final results of the LUNAR BETA TOURNAMENT. Top 10 players of both servers are listed below (and you can also see them in the game, under the 'Tournament Ladder' section accessible from the main menu). Despite its unusual shortness and certain technical difficulties (ouch!!), it was intense as always, and we hope that every participant had fun!
Some fun facts:
This weekend was our second best in terms of concurrent players since the launch of the game: at peak, we had more than 400 players online at the same time, and more than 5,000 unique players played the game in the course of the weekend.
Around 750 players participated in this tournament: 559 at the Amsterdam and 191 at the Singapore servers. This is an unusually high number for the Singapore server, but the explanation is simple – Gremlins, Inc. is gaining popularity in China and Japan these days, which makes us very happy!
ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː ːJapanFlagː ːchinaː
Around 100 players played all 5 (or more) sessions of the tournament. The final scores are so densely distributed that literally 1-2 points of advantage dictated the final positions of the winners.
More than 850 tournament chests (ːHoly_Grailetː) with in-game items were distributed among the participants during the 37 hours while the tournament lasted. Among the rarest drops in this period:
Blueprint: The Ruffian: 7
Blueprint: Boring: 15
Blueprint: Gotcha!: 15
Champion's trails: 4 (plus 2 more will be issued to the winners)
Total number of chests distributed during the 37 hours of the tournament: 2,747. Last tournament chest was granted to its lucky owner at 22:59:40 – just 20 seconds before the end of the tournament. Great timing! Ironically, the item in that chest was the message "No need to thank me" :).
Happy Lunar New Year!
We take this moment to wish you a happy Lunar New Year: may you and your families enjoy a plenty of good fortune, a lasting sense of happiness, and many long and joyful years ahead!
Gremlins, Inc. has come quite a way since its full release in March of 2016: the game received many new features, quite a lot of new content – but more importantly, tens of thousands of players from all over the world, including China and Japan which both became our Top 5 regions.
We thank you for your trust and we hope that your discovery of Gremlins, Inc. added to your life more happy moments, as you battled mischievous opponents on the playing field of this clockwork town!

This update is mostly about fixing different things, as well as adding few more items to the drops pool.
On Friday, January 27 Eador. Imperium comes out of Early Access and thanks to a cross-developer promotion, every owner of Gremlins, Inc. will receive a coupon for a 30% discount for the game. The coupon will be valid for one week only.
Please note that normally, coupons will be issued in batches, so if you do not get yours immediately on January 27, please check again a day or so later. When we issued coupons for Gremlins, Inc. earlier this year, it took a few days to get all the coupons showing up in everyone's inventory.
Hi everyone,
It's been a few months since we first introduced the in-game items, tradable between players via Steam Community Market, and now we finally got around to collecting the relevant stats. We'd like to share them with you so that everyone in the community is aware of the scale and the details of this meta-game – which could hopefully lead to a more informed discussion about how to improve this part of the game further! ːSneakyChestː
It's been a while since we last spoke about how the art for Gremlins, Inc. is being made (here is the story about the "Jurors for Hire" card). Today we'll about about the menu background for the Winter Season (which in a few days will be replaced by something else) –
We just posted a little update on what the studio is working at the moment (here), and with this announcement we'd like to highlight one of the events described there: the upcoming Beta Lunar Tournament scheduled for January 28-29:
While it's still a while unit the end of the Winter Season, we wanted to already share with you the two new cards that will arrive to the game with the spring update (we already presented the art for the first card as a part of the story about how the art is created, story and illustrations: here).

Ever since we launched the game in Early Access, we wanted to share with you the process of how we create new cards in the game. But at first, we simply were too busy working on the minimum set of features that would allow us to launch; then we were busy fixing all the bugs that we found, and adding all the great suggestions that the community came forward with. But finally, we've caught our collective breath and sat down with the person behind almost all the cards in Gremlins, Inc. (2 or 3 are not really his – can you guess, which?) to talk about how he works –
It's time to announce the results of the Christmas Tournament! The list of Top-10 players by server is below – players from Japan and China are really showing a strong hand, as well as players from USA (not to mention traditionally sting performance of players from Russia and from Ukraine! ːmaliceː). Ladies and gentlemen, today we're happy to present one of the 2 new cards that will arrive to the game once the Autumn Season ends next week:
It's time to announce the final results of this weekend's 3-player tournament: the Top 10 players are listed below (and you can also see them in the game, under the 'Tournament Ladder' section accessible from the main menu). As always, it was pretty intense – and we hope everyone had fun!
Some fun facts:
Around 900 players participated in this tournament: 788 at the Amsterdam and 95 at the Singapore servers. Overall, this tournament scores 3rd by the number of participants, if we compare all of our official tournaments since launch.
More than 300 players played 5 or more tournament sessions, and more than 100 players played 9 or more tournament sessions. There were 153 sessions where at least one player would leave the game before the very end (10.2%), a bit up from the previous tournament that had "three lives and you're out" format.
Around 1,500 tournament sessions were played in total, and roughly 1,600 chests with in-game items were distributed among the participants during the 72 hours while the tournament lasted.
We had 6 protests filed about the violation of the Fair Play rules (0.4% of all sessions played), 3 of them were supported (0.2%), and 6 players were temporarily banned from the ranked mode: 4 on Amsterdam server and 2 on Singapore server.

The latest official tournament (November 18-21) is over! The results are posted below (and you can also see them in the game, under the Tournament Ladder section accessible from the main menu). As always, it was a great pleasure to see how many players decided to participate! (the number of players on the Amsterdam server is especially impressive..., but we swear, this is just a coincidence!).
Some fun facts: during this 72-hour tournament, about 2,000 tournament sessions were played. How often did one of the participants drop out/leave? In 8.15% of all ranked sessions played. And what about the in-game item drops coming through tournament chests? Throughout the tournament, there were a total of 1,800 tournament chests granted.
As a part of the preparations for the official tournament, we're happy to present this small update:
The next official tournament is about to start!

In this issue we introduce the changes made to all ranked sessions (Amsterdam: 4 players only, Singapore: 2 players only); show 9 original tournament items that will be dropping during the upcoming tournament (18-21/11); and go over the rules of that tournament:

Dear citizens of the Clockwork Town:
Ever since we introduced ranked sessions in the game, we've been experimenting with all sorts of rules in order to find the set that would provide the best player experience to the majority of those of us who play ranked.
We tried duels. We tried 3-player sessions. We tried 4P. We tried 5P. We even tried 6P, and Chaos Quests. While each type of sessions has its own advantages and disadvantages, two things that we were able to track more or less objectively were the number of complaints received for a specific format; and, much more importantly, the number of ranked sessions launched with the specific set of rules – according to Unity Analytics, that breaks it down very precisely.
This week, we went through all of the available data, and we saw one format that seems to work significantly better than others: ːfirstplaceː 4-PLAYER SESSIONS ːfirstplaceː. Judging by the hard data, players like it more than any other format; it's a setup that allows the best chance of a comeback; and it's a format that is the least susceptible to any sort of an unfair play.
Based on this, and effective immediately:
ːsteampunkː AMSTERDAM is to feature only 4-player ranked sessions
ːsteampunkː SINGAPORE is to feature only 2-player ranked sessions
The actual rules will still vary: sometimes, it will be sessions until 30 score and no character abilities allowed; and sometimes it will be sessions until 40 rounds, and with characters abilities. As to the number of players, we're going to stick to 4P on Amsterdam and 2P on Singapore for now.
We thank everyone who took time to comment on the difference between the formats, and we wish you all an excellent player experience with the new rules. If there's something that can be improved further – just let us know in this thread!
In this issue of Dev News, we introduce the upcoming tournament scheduled for November 18th: what are the special Tournament Chests, what kind of items do they contain, and what are the rules of this tournament? (and next week, we'll talk about Home Rules/Steam Workshop).

One year ago Gremlins, Inc. appeared on Steam for the first time – under the Early Access program. It's been quite a journey, and we feel so very privileged to have such a warmhearted community that currently is almost 50,000 players strong! Thank you!!
Below, we share some insights from the last 12 months:
In this edition of Dev News: Autumn Season explained! ːvotesː
The second new card that we discussed in this Dev News video is called "Toxic Waste" (the first one is "Evil Statue").
As we shared in this Dev News video, there are 2 new cards arriving to the game on October 20 (with the introduction of the Autumn Season): Evil Statue and Toxic Waste. Here's the details of the first card:
To celebrate the beginning of the annual board games convention SPIEL '16 in Essen (Germany), we arranged a special promotion of Gremlins, Inc. in the special edition of SPIELBOX (a wonderful board games magazine that some of you may already read):
Buy Gremlins, Inc. plus its Digital Artbook as a special SPIELBOX Set (50% OFF)!
This offer is available until October 26, and we warmly welcome all the new players who come to join our community from the world of real-world board games!
The next edition of Dev News is here! In this 12-min video we introduce 2 new cards (arriving to the game on October 20) – "Toxic Waste" and "Evil Statue" – as well as discuss the changes in the 5 core cards from the last update. Plus, we get the first look at the (possible) alternative playing field (from 08:10)! Presented by Sergei Klimov and Alexey "Adrageron" Bokulev (who's only saying "yes", "no" and "maybe" in this video ːmaliceː). Enjoy!

In this 10-minute development diary, we show the NEW solution for Team Mode – as well as provide full details on the re-balancing of 5 cards in the main deck, both changes to come into effect with tomorrow's update. You can discuss these changes further in this forum thread.

As these diaries are released weekly, feel free to post any questions you have for the dev team, here or in the comment section on YouTube, and we'll respond in the next video.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Please leave a note HERE listing team's name, the names of 2 players, and your preferred/current time zone. Anyone can participate as long as you register before October 12.

In September we added to the game a few new features, including in-game items that add more options to the prize fund. Because of that, we decided to extend the number of players awarded up to 30 in total (top-15 players from each of the 2 servers).
The winners and the prize fund of September are as follows:
Good news, everyone: Team Mode will become available ahead of schedule, as a part of the update currently scheduled for the end of the coming week.

With this week's update (currently scheduled for Thursday afternoon), the game receives a major new feature, two new cards (Diablerie and Automated Traffic Policeman) and two new Misfortunes – pictured above.
Just a quick note to confirm that we will be releasing the massive 120-page Digital Artbook tomorrow, featuring illustrated stories about the development process behind the game. The Artbook will be available in all of the 12 languages that the game supports, and is laid out as a super-high-resolution landscape PDF.
As a bonus, we decided to include two special items in the package: a unique player lobby icon, and a unique player profile, that will unlock for the owners of the Artbook – these are pictured above.
Here's the second new card that's arriving in tomorrow's update:
Arriving in this week's update are two new cards, and one of them is:
With the major update this week, the game will receive item drops; and with item drops comes one new resource. But let's begin at the beginning:
For the last two years, the development teams of Flazm Interactive (Train Valley) and Charlie Oscar (Gremlins, Inc.) have been happy neighbours, sharing the office in the Old Town of Vilnius. To celebrate, we introduce this set which allows owners of one game to purchase the other with a 30% discount (for a limited time only – until 12:00 GMT on September 14, 2016). Both games are well received by the community, so if you're in the mood to try something good but a little bit different – this is a good opportunity!
Gremlins, Inc. + Train Valley = Happy Neighbours Set
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the clockwork town! It's been a few weeks since we posted any announcements, and now we're back on track to share some news with you:
Arriving on August 11, the new (free) update for Gremlins, Inc. adds the following:
Coming tomorrow:
* 3 new cards
* 2 new Misfortunes
* a bunch of UI/UX/mechanics fixes and improvements
Plus the new single-player challenge:
In addition to the 3 new cards that we introduce on August 11 (A Quest from Dariol, A Quest from Dorikos and Election Campaign), the game will receive 2 new Misfortunes:
With this week's update, we introduce 3 new cards: A Quest from Dariol, A Quest from Dorikos and the card pictured above:
Election Campaign
Cost: $150
Type: Regular
Location: Tribune spots
Mechanics: ...?
"Advice №39: since gremlins are more likely to believe something bad than something good, the leaders of the election race are usually not the candidates that make the most flowery promises, but the ones who excel in revealing dirty spots on the biography of their opponents." (from "The Basics of the Gremlin Democracy").
This second new card will be added to the game's main deck with the August 11 update:
A Quest from Dariol
Cost: ːvotesː8
Type: Regular
Location: the Astral Plane
Mechanics: ...?
"Dariol, like all elves, is a narcissistic lover of senseless pompousness and undue heroism. This sappy elf can't for the life of him get over the death of his beloved Creator. He has probably created a few hundreds, if not thousands of different songs of mourning dedicated to the memory of the prematurely deceased deity. Fortunately, elves don't like to sing in front of strangers, so we are spared the dubious pleasure of listening to all that tragically-romantic nonsense."
– Zarr, "Being a Demigod for Beginners"
Last night we had a ton of fun: we played five 6-player sessions of the game with victory condition set to Chaos Quest, with Adrageron (game designer of Gremlins, Inc.) playing in two of these sessions and me commenting one session in Russian and another in English. Here's the English-language stream of a session with some of the very strong players in the community:
https://youtu.be/X-2SfKkVALE
The results are as follows (by the way: by the end of these sessions, some players had income in excess of $210 (!) and some had ːmaliceː in excess of 100 (!!)):
This new secret card will be added to the game's current deck with the August 11 update:
A Quest from Dorikos
Cost: $500
Type: Secret
Location: the Astral Plane
Mechanics: ...?
"Dorikos is an elderly reptile, whose senility and haemorrhoids have driven him to leave his mortal shell and move to the Astral Plane, where every soul is free from the anguish of a mortal body. Along the way the old fellow envisioned himself to be the Great Savior of All Dragon-kind and decided to make a small world where his kinsmen would live a frivolous life. Other dragons couldn't care less for Dorikos and his little world, but, since dragons are known since ancient times to be extremely stubborn – Dorikos sticks to his idea."
– Zarr, "Being a Demigod for Beginners"
Good morning, everyone!
We're getting ready for tomorrow's Chaos Quest "Developers VS Community" event, and wanted to share with you some details – plus ask those willing to participate, to sign up in this thread.
After useful feedback from the community, we're introducing the following changes to the rules of ranked sessions:
From the 1st day of every month, and until the 15th:
ːcardsː players: 2 (if you tick the box "allow duels") or 4
ːsteampunkː victory condition: 35 score (2 players) or 25 score (4 players)
ːcursecardː Chaos Cards: allowed
ːtelegramː Character Abilities: allowed
ːcheatdiceː character selection: from random sets
From the 15th until the 1st day of the following month:
ːcardsː players: 2 (if you tick the box "allow duels") or 4
ːsteampunkː victory condition: 70 rounds (2 players) or 40 rounds (4 players)
ːcursecardː Chaos Cards: allowed
ːtelegramː Character Abilities: allowed
ːcheatdiceː character selection: from random sets
Rules change at 12:00PM GMT of the corresponding day (1st or 15th) of each month.
During tournaments, the rules of ranked sessions will change according to the ongoing tournament, and by the end of the tournament they will automatically revert to the rules corresponding to that period. If needed, the rules for the next two weeks might be changed with the proper notification issued for all the players in advance.
This new system (with the corresponding changes of the rules) will be activated tomorrow, on August 2, at 12:00PM GMT.
The month of July is over, and as usual, Top 10 players from each server – as recorded on 24:00 GMT of the last day of the month – are awarded special medals for their player profiles + get to pick one of the prizes from the prize pool (see details below).
The studio is back from the summer holidays, and we've got pretty big plans for the coming month!
The INSIDE tournament is over, with ~600 players participating on the Amsterdam server and ~60 players participating on the Singapore server for a chance to win keys for the wonderful Palyded-developed INSIDE and LIMBO as well as Gremlins, Inc.
We are so happy about the recent release of INSIDE, that we decided to stage a special tournament in honour of the Copenhagen-based developer Playdead – who turns 10 years this year. The game is simply amazing! Projects like this are the reason why we decided to pursue a career in the games industry, and we would like to share the joy by giving every citizen of the clockwork town a chance to win either INSIDE, or LIMBO, or (of course) Gremlins, Inc..
This time we will use a set of rules that we call 'classic': no character abilities and random character choice at start – just like in the good old days. Another important note: our matchmaking algorithm is still on vacation, so players will be matched regardless of their ratings. Finally, this tournament will run from Thursday, not Friday, and will end on Sunday, not Monday – following the advice of the community. We hope that you enjoy it! See details below:
It's been a while since we posted an update on the population of our clockwork town, and seeing so many new faces joining us after the summer sale we wanted to share with you some of the recent data:
The month of June is over, and it's time to award ːmaliceː top 10 players ːmaliceː on each of the servers. As usual, these players will get special medals for their player profiles, as well as the chance to choose one of the rewards from the prize pool that we have created for this month (starting from the first place).
Please meet the top players of the last month:
It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of this weekend's tournament, which saw over 600 players competing for top places in the ladders of Amsterdam and Singapore servers!
We're honoured to confirm that for the duration of Steam Summer Sale, Gremlins, Inc. is a part of the Turn-Based Strategy Bundle that includes 5 great games and offers 58% off – or more!
Included in this bundle are:
The Banner Saga: player reviews – VERY POSITIVE.
Invisible, Inc.: player reviews – VERY POSITIVE.
Thea: The Awakening: player reviews – VERY POSITIVE.
Hard West: player reviews – VERY POSITIVE.
Gremlins, Inc.: player reviews – VERY POSITIVE.
The bundle is in effect until July 4: here's your opportunity to complete your collection!
Good morning, dear citizens of the clockwork town!
It is with pleasure that announce the details of the next official in-game tournament, which starts on June 24. This tournament relies on the rules that are already well-tested and familiar to most of you, except for one difference: the matchmaking system will ignore the current rating of the participants. So yes, all sorts of surprise encounters are possible!
Thanks to the amazing organisation by green_v, Gremlins, Inc. just had its first proper bracket tournament: between June 6 and June 13, players took part in "Slaughterhouse No.1" that saw over 150 sessions played between 32 competitors.
The winners:
ːfirstplaceː izmegul
ːfirstplaceː Shalifar
ːfirstplaceː Silence
Full stats, including the results of each session, are available here (we really recommend that you take a look, that's a lot of data to consider how you may rank in a similar event). Some of the sessions were streamed on Twitch, here's one channel and here's another. We thank green_v from the bottom of our developer hearts, and look forward to other similar events in the future!
Meanwhile, in the next announcement (coming soon) you will find all the details of the next in-game tournament, which kicks off this Friday, June 24th.
It took us a few late nights at the studio, but "Astral Gamblers" – the last DLC in the character trilogy – is now available on Steam. This DLC features the characters that will be familiar to those of you who previously played Eador. Genesis, these characters are also present on some of the existing cards (the "Quest of" series) –

We're also pleased to present the Original Soundtrack for the game, composed by A. Fruit and featuring 19 tracks (spanning 45 minutes) in MP3 and FLAC formats:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/459851/
The last item on our dream list is the Digital Artbook (in 12 languages) that will feature over 100 pages of development stories and illustrations. It is currently expected some day in July.
The new update is almost here! Tomorrow afternoon, the game is getting
We're happy to report that on June 16, the Original Soundtrack for the game will become available as a DLC. The track list and more details are available on this page.
This OST is the result of one year of collaboration between Charlie Oscar and A. Fruit, and will introduce – in addition to the 18 tracks from the game – one bonus track that is unavailable anywhere else.
Finally, we will produce a limited edition of the vinyl version of this soundtrack towards late summer/early autumn. If you're interested in signing up for a copy, you can do so here.
Attention, players from China:
We just upgraded the connection between the game's Singapore server and the major Chinese Internet service providers. This should lead to the overall improvement in the connectivity.
The next step is to continue improving the connection by looking for specific issues. If you are located in Asia and you have a moment of time, could you please share with us the results of the traceback to our Singapore server? 谢谢 !
One week from now, we expect to release the last DLC in the character trilogy ("Astral Gamblers") as well as the regular major update with new content.
That update will introduce 2 new cards – "A Governor for an Hour" and "False Testimony" – plus 2 new Misfortunes, one of which is shown above:

Good morning, everyone! Following the roll-out of Character Abilities on May 26, we collected some very important player feedback over the last week and a half – thanks so much for all the discussions, and suggestions! We will update the balancing of the abilities in the upcoming update on June 16. Meanwhile, we think that it makes sense to remove, until then, Character Abilities from the rules of the ranked sessions.
Effective 12:00 GMT Monday, June 6 the following rules will be in effect for all ranked sessions:
ːcardsː players: 2 (if you tick the box "allow duels") and 4
ːsteampunkː victory condition: 30 score (2 players) | 25 score (4 players)
ːcursecardː Chaos Cards: allowed

ːcheatdiceː character selection: from random sets
Good luck, and we'll be back with the character abilities in ranked sessions... after the update of June 16, that will balance certain things out. Meanwhile you can keep testing these out in custom multiplayer sessions.
This morning we hit an important numeric milestone:
Good morning, everyone! We have good news to share: with the next update scheduled for June 16 (which is also the release date for "Astral Gamblers", the last DLC in the current series) we will be adding not one, but TWO new cards to the game. One of them is shown above.
The summer is here, and it's time to award top players for May based on the Amsterdam and Singapore ladders. We're awarding 10 medals per server, as to the prize fund – each player, starting from the top of the ladder and going down, can choose the prize of their choice from the pool allocated to that specific server.
We will start talking to the top players today. Please note that if we do not hear back from anyone in 24 hours, we will continue to approach others, as we cannot delay the distribution of the prizes for everyone in the ladder.
And now meet the top players:
This portrait of L'Anshar* is here to remind everyone that the 20% OFF sale on the game ends in 24 hours – at midday on June 2. Of the other news, we happily sailed past 2,000 copies sold of "Uninvited Guests" as well as nearing 1,000 copies of "Automated Competitors" (10% OFF until tomorrow), thank you very much for the support of these ideas.
* – one of the masters of the broken world set to exterminate all life; he will visit the world of Gremlins, Inc. as the Banker in the upcoming DLC "Astral Gamblers".
Attention, players from China:
We're happy to report that the Gremlins, Inc. series (main game plus the DLCs) crossed the threshold of 35,000 copies sold – much love ːsteampunkː to everyone who stopped by to pick up the game this week!
The current discount (20% OFF) will end in about 48 hours, midday on June 2nd, so if you were thinking about getting yourself a copy... "buy now or pay more later", as any gremlin would tell you.
Meanwhile, some updates on what's happening:
Following up on the big update from yesterday, very shortly we will be rolling out a hotfix. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to spotting the issues. Much love – and have a great weekend!
"Automated Competitors", the second DLC for the game, is now available with a 10% launch discount! To celebrate this event, we also give 20% off the main game for this week. Enjoy!
